I received a shipping notice for the holiday box today! Have you received your box yet? I got a shipping notice that says Thursday (today, yay!), but further down it says cancelled by the sender. I sure hope not!

Question on the unboxing and lives - they mention prizes. What sort of items do they give away and do they mail the prizes? In the October card event, they put slips of paper with everyones name on them in a basket, shuffled them and picked winners from that. The prizes were from the sponsors such as stamp/die sets, pen sets, paper trimmer, etc. They were pretty great prizes actually. It wasn't just one stamp and die set, it was a bundle. The grand prize on the last night was a spot in the next event. For that, they put everyones name back in and drew. All the prizes were mailed to the winners.

I sure hope not! My first shipping notice was for shipping by FedEx, and it was canceled. I found another email in my junk mail with a shipping notice for UPS. They are saying it will arrive tomorrow!

Thank you Pink Lady - nice to know everyone has a chance at prizes. Also - if I order something I can always tell dh that it was a prize I won.

Did anyone attend the unboxing tonight? I can't believe how much was packed in that box!
This weekend I'm going to work on having some photos printed now that I see the layouts.
Looking forward to next weekend!

I really liked the "goodie" bag for the make and takes and little projects. I've never tried the Spectrum Noir pens so I'm looking forward to that. This weekend will be prepping and getting photos so I can try to complete at least a couple projects live.

I was making dinner during the unboxing and caught it on replay later.
Even though I peeked and ripped mine open ages ago I didn't realize.. There's. So. Much. Paper! I'm super excited for next week.
Those first classes starting here at 8am though 😫 I'll be sitting back with my coffee mug for a good hour before these hands get working lol

There’s a lot of stuff, but I’m a little disappointed that so much of it is American Crafts products (3 of the 4 classes). I was hoping for more variety in manufacturers.
I’m really excited for Vicki Boutin’s class! Looking forward to a crafty weekend!

I'm a morning person and I am not thrilled that it runs so late in the day for me. This weekend, I'm setting up the camper so I can set up everything and leave it out and I won't be bothered by the pups or DH. Tomorrow I go shopping for crop snacks! I've got Friday off from work so I don't miss anything. I'm hoping to make some of the "meet the teachers" events during the week too. Here's to hoping the next week flies by!

I won a prize in the last paper crafting event - it was the Creative Memories paper trimmer. I remember watching as they were showing it and about to draw the prize and thinking, I should go to the CM site and check out the trimmer, it looks cool. Then they drew my name. I never win anything. :-)

Has anyone else done an inventory of their kits to be sure they got everything? I'm only missing one thing - the little gold gems for Meghann's class. I saw in the unboxing video that it was just a little piece of plastic and they said it was easy to miss. I'm going to find something similar in my stash, but wanted to give others a "heads up" to check everything just in case so you can be prepared for class.

I did an inventory last night and it all looks good to me. The gold gems in Meghann's class had no packaging, just the acetate sheet the gems adhere to. I could see it getting lost easily or getting stuck to something. I hope they turn up for you!

I know, right? I resisted virtual crops/learning thinking I wouldn't like it. This will be my first online event and right now I'm really happy with the way SCT has organized and set this up. I love seeing the items and projects beforehand and listening to the educators introduce themselves and discuss what they will be teaching. The value of the project kits for this November session is amazing. Can't wait to spend the weekend learning and doing what I love. Hoping my family doesn't interrupt too much! I'm registered for the spring session already!

Today's the day everyone! I've got the day off so I can finish up some of the homework and videos of the meet and greets I missed. I'm going to decorate my camper (where I'm going to hide from DH and the dogs so I don't get interrupted) this morning and settle in for a fun weekend! I'm so excited!

I'm registered for the spring session already! I signed up for the cards event in the Spring, but not the scrapbooking one. However, Vicki was talking about her mini album for that event and how it uses a new line that no one has set eyes on yet... and oh, the FOMO... Must be strong. I haven't even paid for the card event yet! Hoping that if we get to the Spring and I have extra budget that there will room to squeeze in (like there were with these fall events).

Hey grammadee, I thought facebook was the only way to access most of the event? I wish I could link you in another way, but I think they've done it this way to secure their event. Jen Tryon is going live in 1 minute with the triblend pens.
