I never thought Trump would win. When he did, I didn't participate here at all for a few months. I figured nothing any of us on the Right had to offer was wanted here nor would it help anything. If I was a troll, I suppose I'd have been here gloating and rubbing it in your face. That's not me. At all. In fact it was more than a few months. You didn't register here as pixiechick until September 2020. If you really wanted to clear people's doubt then you would come clean and tell everyone your previous name and maybe the reason that you felt that you had to re register under a different name.

I do absolutely judge people who are prolonging this pandemic by refusing to consider getting vaccinated. They have access to the same information that the rest of us do, but they are ignoring it. If this recent outbreak didn’t convince them, then nothing will. It is not my responsibility to convince grown adults to get vaccinated to ward off a virus. And their childish refusal to wear masks and getting angry at those who do mask is selfish and ridiculous. I am angry because their stubbornness is making this much worse than it needed to be. And that is why you will always be part of the problem. Your right - it is not your responsibility to convince grown adults to get vaccinated to ward off a virus. Let them live with their choices. As for making the situation worse the most recent mask guidance from the CDC indicates it doesn't matter - vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals carry higher virus loads of the Delta variant regardless of whether you've taken the shot or not. As for them getting made at those who mask - it goes both ways. Basically, everyone needs to start minding their own business and let others do what they want with their own health choices and stop calling others out because you (you and general you) don't agree with them. Resentment towards the unvaccinated is understandable. The current situation absolutely falls on the unvaccinated. Hospitals, like the one in Texas, are canceling elective surgeries because of staff shortages and full ICU beds of unvaccinated patients. Delta has spread like wildfire in unvaccinated communities. There may be transmission in breakthrough cases but states like Vermont with a higher percentage of vaccinated people have much lower rates of covid. The part that Republicans like to ignore is that your health is not just your health. Your decisions directly affect those around you. The unvaccinated are being called out not because people disagree with them, but because they are responsible for the 4th surge of covid and the spread of delta. As far as wearing a mask, it’s a minor inconvenience for the greater good of the community. People refusing to wear them without a medical reason (and there are very few) are simply being selfish. I work at a school and wore one for 7 hours a day from September to June. And there is absolutely no evidence that wearing masks is harmful to children. The kids were surprisingly complaint. It’s the parents that have an issue, not the kids. The study Tucker Carlson quoted has been retracted. Not surprisingly, he is the source of misinformation. www.forbes.com/sites/brucelee/2021/07/17/face-mask-study-says-co2-increases-in-children-but-then-is-retracted/?sh=4640b36e4bc4www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-masks-children/fact-check-masks-do-not-expose-children-to-dangerous-levels-of-carbon-dioxide-idUSL1N2P929B

I never read or listen to Tucker Carlson. Just because I don't agree with your short-sighted statements does not mean I am a Trump supporter, Tucker Carlson fan-girl or Fox News watcher. Assumptions will steer you wrong every single time - at least out in the real world.

I didn’t make assumptions or accuse you of anything. As part of a general discussion on mask wearing, I just pointed out that the information Tucker presented on masks was inaccurate. If you'd like to have a discussion about how Fox presents misinformation about the virus, vaccinations, Jan 6 and other things, I would be happy to have that conversation.

@loouloou2 - newcomer, new goner.
I guess the big bad left peas were "mean", "bullying", "browbeating" (aka pointing out facts, lies and half-truths) again.

Thought this was an interesting article about farmers & vaccinations. www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2021/08/07/1025412688/as-trusted-voices-farmers-could-be-key-to-boosting-rural-vaccination-ratesI think the point that we're down to one on one conversations with people is valid. I think the only possible way to influence anti-vaxxers is a conversation with someone they know and trust. Maybe as vaccinations increase because people are scared of delta or required to get it for work, it might slowly spread to anti-vaxxers. If the unvaccinated are convinced the vaccine is not safe or its an issue of freedom, those beliefs are just reinforced on social media and Fox, OAN & Newsmax. And if they're in a deep red state, it's less likely they know anyone personally who had the vaccine or is willing to admit they did.

Whilst there sadly is a degree of vaccine hesitancy throughout African countries there is also other factors to consider too according to this fact check report by the BBC. As well meaning as other countries are in sending their unused vaccines to other countries they need to action their plans far earlier than a couple of weeks before the expiry dates.
