We watched Muppets Haunted Mansion while I worked on my first autumn album pages at the coffee table and in the scene with the Bride and Pepe, she says at one point: Same, Constance Hatchaway, same.

I've been sloooooooowly chugging along! Although I feel like I've made a grave mistake with this size and it has me worried about DD and the size I want to do for that. Apparently I like using pop dots and chipboard riiiight in the same spot on every page so things are getting chunky in one corner. And this project has proven my sewing skills haven't gotten any better since my Girl Scout days 🙃
We're behind on movies which we knew would happen, and my mom was hospitalized on the 12th (she's good, stubborn.. which leads her here, but good lol) so it's been an interesting 2nd full week.
I don't do Ali's DITL but I want to use the time stamp I got from the spring sale so I'm thinking I'll do a little DITL spread for tomorrow's story 😂

I took photos of my mantel (and then added more stuff... and then we temporarily acquired a Victorian-ish painting of dead grouse (?) hanging up so I guess that will be a nice addition too.) http://instagram.com/p/CVBfMt_h1zy

I was so excited about that line! What did you think of the movie? I absolutely loved it! I didn’t know how much of it pertained to your Phantom Manor though, it was pretty specifically DL HM based. I just loved all the little nods to the ride, but even without them I think I still would have really enjoyed it. We are going to watch it again we enjoyed it so much. Also, not Halloween related, but I believe you mentioned somewhere seeing the new Dune movie, if so, what did you think?

I was waiting on some Peas to catch the scrapbooking thing before possibly spoiling it!!! SO GOOD!!! Woops, I'm the one who spoiled it! 😬 Although I feel like I've made a grave mistake with this size and it has me worried about DD and the size I want to do for that. Apparently I like using pop dots and chipboard riiiight in the same spot on every page so things are getting chunky in one corner. Oh no, the repeat embellishment-in-right-the-same-corner offender strikes again! (I have the same issue, I feel ya.) my mom was hospitalized on the 12th (she's good, stubborn.. which leads her here, but good lol) so it's been an interesting 2nd full week. I hope your mother's recovery is going well and that she can perhaps be a little less stubborn in the future. Ha, who am I kidding? They are the most obstinate creatures! 😄 I took photos of my mantel (and then added more stuff... and then we temporarily acquired a Victorian-ish painting of dead grouse (?) hanging up so I guess that will be a nice addition too.) Very pretty, joblackford! I love the moody atmosphere with the lamps. Big fan of your 'process' poster. I thought the red berries were blood at first! 😲 What did you think of the movie? I absolutely loved it! I didn’t know how much of it pertained to your Phantom Manor though, it was pretty specifically DL HM based. Loved it! I greedily wish it were a little longer but I'm really happy with what Disney did here. The celebrity guests blended in beautifully, Gonzo was the perfect protagonist (I do miss Rizzo by his side a bit but Pepe's doing a great job), the storyline incorporating Haunted Mansion was exquisite. Definitely going on my rewatch list. 😊 All of the Disney park haunted houses share the bulk of the aesthetic so I was absolutely not lost. I just had a different bride with less of a backstory in the movie than I'm used to with Phantom Manor. We have 4 singing busts as a nod to the DL HM's 5 as well as Madame Leota's head, the doom buggies and other symbols. I was in my element even without the Ravenswood family. 😍 Also, not Halloween related, but I believe you mentioned somewhere seeing the new Dune movie, if so, what did you think? Dune came out over here last month and I just *had* to see it. I absolutely love Herbert's series, in particular the first book of the chronicles. I don't want to spoil anything but OH MY. This was hands down my favourite movie in years. I'm not being hyperbolic when I say that I couldn't have wished or hoped for a better translation from book to screen. Absolutely worth seeing in IMAX if you can. I've seen it twice now and I'm pretty certain I'll squeeze in a final third screening before it leaves cinemas. If Villeneuve can't get the money to make the second installment (this one covers about 60% of the first book), I'll be upset.

Thank you, carolynhasacat. And no, definitely not sharing my Starbee's with anyone. Slowly but surely moving on with my album. Printed a page about the bedroom overhaul tonight and added some stamping and stickers as we watched a movie. I'm really digging the Happy Planner freestyle journal so far.

Soldiering on as Sunday afternoon turns to evening. About to print a page using an adapted version of French illustrator Margaux Motin's September equinox rituel freebie. Baby steps. I'm loving there's so much written word in my album this time around. It's turning into a proper journal and making my heart all kinds of happy. Here's the page I got around to yesterday minus the accompanying moodboard - and yes, I now realise "adulting" stamped right by a bedframe reads like "adultery" at first 🤦😂):

Adultery, like it’s my job… around the house… I totally did not read it like that but it gave me a great laugh anyway! Love that you’re loving what you’re making I sat down and wrote Halloween cards to lots of friends yesterday. I’ve neglected my snail mail 🐌💌 this year so I grabbed a bunch of extra stickers I bought and Halloween cards that I didn’t make in time to donate and wrote very quick little notes. Writing to people has been one of those things that’s been harder for me since the pandemic started. We’re starting to get some really nice fall color, and I pulled out my Japanese autumn leaf bag (made from embroidered silk, it’s gorgeous) and I have a new crochet project to start soon which is wonderful rich warm colors to see me through fall and winter. I haven’t pulled out my album from last year that I was going to play with, maybe make a cover. I think I’m going to make more Halloween cards instead 🤷🏻♀️

I LOVE seeing everyones' October/ Halloween pages !!!! I keep *saying* I'm going to start an album, but haven't yet. Anyhooo....it'd be fun to make a page about how much I love to bake! And I wanted to show these FUN "BONE Appetit" paper napkins I found several years ago. I love intentional misspelling of a French word (can't wait to hear what sleepingbooty thinks) , plus who doesn't love smiling, jovial skeletons?

I bought a new picture book last week. It is called There's a Ghost in This House. It is so cool. There are vellum pages that make the ghosts appear. The author shows how it works on his instagram. http://instagram.com/p/CUmyqWYoHZz

We got away from town and went up to Apple Hill for the day (it's a large group of fruit/veg/mainly apple orchard farms, wineries, a few spas, bed & breakfast, Christmas trees, etc around a big loop where you can go to as many different farms as you wish). Ate some good bbq for lunch, spent a ton of money on apple things... but most importantly, I had somewhere to wear my new hat 😂 In the hour and a half drive we go from sea level to about 3000ft with more trees than I've seen since our time in the same forested area a few months ago, hah. Along the way we saw a restaurant with a humongous sign that read "NO MASKS ALLOWED" 😬. So that was.. interesting lol

I love the moody atmosphere with the lamps. Big fan of your 'process' poster. I thought the red berries were blood at first! 😲 We're moody year round with those lamps my hubby made and the Process poster could be spooky! I'm going to pretend she's squeezing blood out of those cherries now It's actually a print from local papercut artist Nikki McClure nikkimcclure.com/ Here's another mantel shot http://instagram.com/p/CVPJ8k4rIPI and my new gear http://instagram.com/p/CVQWiLdFrAA

So glad to hear your review, sleepingbooty We have been eagerly awaiting Dune’s release here in the US, and will definitely be seeing it in IMAX if we can

DH and I made a quick weekend getaway to NYC last week, hoping to get in some Central Park leaf peeping but it was too early for full autumn colors, and the weather was more Summer than Fall. But we had a great time, and I will use some of KPs 34th and Herald Square to document the city strolls, and we also checked out the HP Store that recently opened, so that was fun and a bit spooky. Dune will also make a big appearance in my little album

Love your book sleepingbooty! The text layouts are so crisp & clean. Love hearing everyone's plans and doings... I think I will watch Muppets this weekend. I start spooky szn so early that I kinda start to forget about it by now! I am waiting on my EE kit and stamps, which should arrive today. Planning to use that on this week's weekly spread in my storyline chapters book. I just finished one and have a different layout version where there are 3 full month layouts first then 12 week layouts following. I wasn't sure if/how I was going to use it. I've already skipped a few Oct weeks bcz there wasn't much going on (except my last chemo treatment! yay). But I think I will cobble it together somehow... My thought was to use the full month layouts to do some dedicated pages to Oct, Nov and Dec. Then just fill in the weeks as I go or want to.

I’m on day 16. My book is full and I will probably have to start another. I think I’m going to try to plan out the remainder of my stories and decide if I have enough to get through the end of the month. Mine is very Halloween focused. I’m getting a tiny bit tired. I think I can get through this week. Then next week I’m taking a full scrapbooking break while I travel for work. I think it’s just what I need.

I made 10 cards, some are duplicates. I didn't realize how bright my orange cardstock pack was that I purchased from the AC warehouse sale. Five less sheets and some of a sixth! I used old stuff; Michaels $1 wood stamps, SEI, Magnetic Poetry word stamps, Me and My Big Ideas, WRMK, Dollar Tree washi and sticker, and My Mind's Eye. Anyway, something to include for my October summary page.
