Here the wait for a new appliance is about 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. Lots in stock. Just slower time to get it to you.

Our car's CPU stopped communicating with the system. It's currently sitting at the dealership with a long wait just to get it looked at, let alone parts ordered. If there wasn't a shortage of used cars, we'd go buy another to tide us over.
I suspect we won't get it back until next year.

For us it's parts for our farm equipment that is in short supply if at all. The implement dealerships like John Deere don't know when things will return to normal.
I've noticed some food items being out or low supply and definitely fall and winter clothes are not being stocked at major retail stores around here. Online stores seem to have the same inventory problems.

My car has been in the shop now for two months with no ETA on when the parts will be available. So there’s that. Yikes!!

Ds was at the grocery store and said the shelves seemed emptied again. I don’t know if people started panic buying again?
Have you noticed anything with Tostito’s chips? I haven’t seen them on the shelves in a while.

Anything requiring microchips has a long lead time. Combination of difficulty sourcing silicon and reoccurring plant shut downs in Asia. So anything that requires microchips from cars, to ipads, to fancy appliances is affected by this. Furniture because everyone is remodeling is 18-20 weeks out or longer. We priced out a new couch at Crate and Barrel, delivery was next summer. I have had a hard time finding Tamari and other Asian cooking ingredients. Weird times.

Costco has been having a block cheddar cheese shortage for months now In May we had a problem with our pool pump and ended up needing a new one. With the plastic shortage it took 2 months for our guy to find something a state away.

Is your insurance company getting you a rental for that long? Yep! Thankfully it’s a lease and only two years old so fully covered under warranty. I just told the dealer today that if it’s going to be a few more months, I’ll just turn the car in.

steel - DH works for a steel manufacturing company and they've had shortages. And our garage was delayed due to shortages as well - and I've noticed prices for the steel garages have about doubled since we paid for ours.
Diet Dr Pepper is still hit or miss locally - I can usually get some version but oftentimes instead of having 12pack cans, 6pk bottles, 8pk smaller bottles, AND 2-litres...only ONE of those will be available.
Aldi is still having issues getting all of their specials to all of the stores - there's still a tab on their ad website
Pumpkin puree is hard to find.
and I'm finding bagged salad goes bad super quickly now - like I can buy on Friday and it's nasty by dinner on Saturday - which I can only assume is because it's taking longer in transit to the stores?

I work in the electronics industry and am in purchasing and it is an absolute nightmare right now trying to get materials. If a supplier does have the material getting it here is a problem due to freight delays. Just today I tried to order a wire and was given a 45 week lead time. I don't even know what to do anymore on some of the items I need to buy.

There is a shortage of truck drivers too and that is impacting when things get to shelves Very true.. DH just got another raise.. we are assuming that they are having trouble keeping their employees. He's got five different type of raises in the last six months. UNHEARD of. I'm not complaining.

I have noticed that a lot of places are having a tough time keeping an adequate amount of Topo Chico in stock. Also, I couldn't get Gatorade a couple of weeks ago. Not sure if that has resolved itself. I couldn't care less about the Gatarade, but I gotta have my Topo chico! Topo Chico in the plastic bottles is scarce up here. I can get it in glass bottles all day long but no plastic. Its also hit or miss on getting deli lunch meat. I went to two stores on Monday and could not get sliced meat.

Early this summer, my company wanted to order a couple of skids of bottled water for our guys on jobsites. We were told we couldn't buy in that quantity this year - not because of a shortage of water, but a shortage of plastic bottles.

Furniture because everyone is remodeling is 18-20 weeks out or longer. It's not just because of everyone remodeling. There is a foam shortage, as well as the shipping issues (both international shipping and domestic transit). Some of that foam shortage is directly tied to the massive freeze this past Feb in the South, as well as the grid failure here in Texas. DD has been having problems procuring rail cars and barges, as well as tankers to ship product for work. It really does seem to be an across the board problem.

I haven’t seen them on the shelves in a while. Just had Scoops last weekend. We don’t go into stores so perhaps they were low stock, but I had a different sizes to choose from online. I went to grocery store today and could see nothing absent, in fact everything seemed overflowing. I am waiting for a pair of prescription sunglasses. It usually taken 2 weeks but I called after 5 weeks and they said they hope they will be in next week, so something might be held up there. I didn't ask. All three of us got new glasses last month. Two progressives and one regular all less than a week at Costco.

Things I buy that have had empty shelves lately - Caffeine Free Diet Coke, 9 lives canned cat food, Meijer brand cat litter (and my cats are not happy if their food or brand of litter is changed!)

I have a bottled tea I enjoy. It has tripled in price and is constantly out of stock now. We also have issues finding Dr. Pepper in stock, and I haven't been able to find the eye drops I prefer. Fortunately, I can substitute. A few other little things, but those seem to be the most consistently difficult to find.

one of DH's clients supplies good to places like Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Bed Bath and Beyond. while the manufacturers in china are ready with his goods and had them shipped, everything is stuck at the ports because they can't unload and transport them to his warehouses.

Thanks for the reminder to buy a few ingredients for holiday meals. I just added a few items to my next pickup.
We just ordered new living room tables. We were quoted delivery in 8-12 weeks. A new sofa was 24-26 weeks. I hope they are accurate and we get them by Christmas. She said some things have been coming in early but they prefer to give longer dates just in case.
I know that electronics are really hard to come by. My husband had to replace his computer snd his old machine was quite old snd the new one wasn’t really a step up like it usually is.
We have a new At Home store that opened maybe a month ago. It had empty shelves/aisles when they opened but it was worse this past week. Lots of empty shelves.
I’m noticing that some stores seem to have less racks of clothes so there is more empty space which isn’t bad if you can find what you like but it’s weird at the same time.
I keep hearing about how many ships are backed up in Long Beach snd it grows daily. Reading what they are saying though is that we are buying much more stuff as they used to unload 14.5 a day snd now 53.5 a day (I may have the numbers wrong but I’m close to what the article said). More than three times what they were unloading ore-Covid. That’s a lot more stuff being unloaded. Obviously they can only unload if there are trains or trucks to take the goods so something must have changed. I keep hearing that there is a trucker shortage. Not sure but was surprised when I read the numbers.
The holes on the shelves seem to change every time I shop. Although I haven’t been able to get Dove milk chocolate with peanut butter in months. I think everything else has at least been available at least temporarily in the past few months. I am keeping duplicates of things we go through snd buying before we run out if possible.

I keep whole grain crackers with peanut butter on hand because my granddaughter loves them. It’s taken me a month to find them. Also I love Bai Bubbles. It’s not to be found anywhere. I’ve looked for months. I’ve also found a lot of stores with barren shelves. Some clerks say labor shortages cause it but others say it’s a delivery issue.

My DIL ordered bedroom furniture for DGS just before the COVID shutdown and it still hasn’t come in. I had to replace two air conditioner units in a rental I own, ordered in the beginning of April and finally installed mid-July. I was lucky, initially told they might not be in until the end of August. I haven’t noticed a shortage of anything at the grocery store but I was at Sam’s Club last week and they didn’t have any chicken and they haven’t had their Members Mark brand hot dogs for months now.

I work in a grocery store. The number of out-of-stocks in my department (Frozen Foods) gets bigger and bigger with each delivery. The department looks terrible because we have so many things that aren't coming in. Some items we haven't been able to get in months; some items just come in sporadically.
I know our grocery department is having the same issues. They are having problems building their endcap displays because they don't have product.
I am seriously dreading the holidays if things don't get better.

This is timely. I had an appt yesterday and ran into the store afterwards. I took a picture of the shelves. There was no sugar (powered, brown, or granular). No flour, no oil, water has been low for months as well as cat litter. I can go on and on about the deficiencies in my area.

My car has been in the shop now for two months with no ETA on when the parts will be available. So there’s that. YIKES! That is horrible. I do notice random things missing at the grocery store. We are getting ready to order a sectional. It's at least 6 months out. It's taking 9 months to build our townhouse, due to labor and material shortages.

I’ve noticed certain items at the store being in shorter supply. Nothing that really affects my life but I see it.
Dh sells tools and others have said they’re having a harder time getting stuff but my husbands inventory is ridiculous. He has more than enough o cover any shortages in his stock orders.
