Thank you, seaexplore. Yes, it is an apron. It's a criss-cross apron. I have never worn this style, and I love it. I think it might be my favorite style apron. And I bet your DD loved the one you made her!

And I bet your DD loved the one you made her! It’s mine. I wouldn’t spend forever on an apron she’ll outgrow! Lol. I used a pattern from Purl Soho. French seams even! Super fancy! www.purlsoho.com/create/2021/05/14/cross-back-apron-in-spectrum-cotton/

That flowered fabric is gorgeous on that apron @patter Thank you. It's cotton decorator fabric that I got a roll for $4. I have many yards. I figured the full apron in that floral could have been too much so I used it for accents. But I may make another reversing the colors--floral for the body and dot/check for the pocket and straps.

I've seen that blanket my3freaks ! You can totally do it. It's very cute too. Can't wait to see it. I've never done circles, or made squares really, so we shall see. Thanks for the faith in me!

I’ve been playing. 😁 Put vinyl on my classroom mini fridge. I have spools left over from printing filament so I’m printing drawers for them!

I'm doing leather printing helping the kids make bookmarks and he's doing woodworking helping the kids make tool boxes. It's going to be great! Neither of our kids are in the 3rd grade (the grade that goes- ours are K and 5th) but we're going anyway. My student teacher will take my classroom for the day.

It's been a bit of a mare today. My bedside light fused as I turned it on. Not the bulb, the actual dimmable light base. I walked into the kitchen to find water all over the counter and the floor. The kettle had developed a leak overnight. The cats were manic and fighting. They knocked a stack of things over. Two teeny deer went bounding up the road by the house. (nice) A car waited by the house until the deer were safe then drove slowly with his hazards on to warn other drivers. I'm hoping it was out of concern for the deer and not because he was bothered they would damage his car. I know, I know, deer can write off a vehicle. DGD2 was diagnosed Covid positive, a week after her sister. DS1 had a positive latflow yesterday and is waiting for his PCR result but he is feeling unwell. DIL is currently healthy and negative. A storage cupboard door came off and toilet rolls (a normal amount, not hoarded!) went everywhere. I'm in work in a couple of hours so can't settle and enjoy the evening. sigh. I managed half a row of crochet! YAY!

Oh no gillyp! That is a bugger of a start to your day. I'm so sorry. Hopefully work goes smoothly and you can rest a bit this weekend and get some hobby stuff done. There is a fiber arts festival tomorrow one town over and I'm looking to find someone to go with me and touch all the pretty yarns.

Last progress report for October! My mom and dad left for Italy yesterday and I promised I wouldn't weave without her. That's going to be a beautiful basket, I love the colours.
So, I totally underestimated how difficult it was going to be to crochet with Sushi the tiny destroyer in the house I haven't even picked up my hook. Not complaining though when I have this level of cuteness to enjoy

lainey - OMG! Sushi is ADORABLE! jennifercw - i love your helper too! And that basket is going to be awesome! The colors are really pretty. I took my DD to gymnastics today for open gym and had 2 hours to do whatever I wanted. I went to Joann's and bought beads and fabric. Beads for more sun catchers because I love them. No orders- just want to make some. Fabric to make halloween masks for the kids and me since we have to wear them for school still. I looked at yarn today and Joann's and considered getting a crochet hook (already have knitting needles) and decided against taking up yet another addiction. Go me.

lainey - OMG that is one cute kitten! And thanks for the comment on my basket. The colors did not turn out as intended - pink should have been terracotta and grey should have been sand. I was OK with them at first but now am not so sure. I might lightly stain it after it is finished to try and blend everything together a bit more. Maybe... seaexplore - LOL. That's my parents cat and she is something else... The last time I tried to weave she literally got IN the basket and wouldn't come out. She's a bit of a bitch when she's not getting her way but likes me in general so we are mostly able to come to a mutual understanding! I'm taking care of her while my parents are abroad and she's super glad to see me when I stop by every day.

I did it! I laid out all my 138 squares on the bed and got a photo. I think I'm about halfway through but it's really difficult to tell.

How are you joining the squares? I'll be crocheting them together in the cream, I think in a step pattern from corner to corner. A friend attached hers like that and I really like the effect at the corners of the squares. I've always wondered how to attach granny squares without either crossing over or leaving holes, but that works. Thanks everyone. I'm rather loving making this, other than being slightly discouraged by the sheer magnitude of the task. It's the biggest project I've ever done. But those colours...
