Who's at work and would rather be crafting today? Me, me, me! LOL! Work has been such a pain lately. Crafting is never a disappointment.

Sort of me, me, me! I’m just home from the morning shift and I’m back in at 6 pm but I’m hoping to crochet in the interim if I don’t fall asleep!

RedSquirrelUK - Those squares are so pretty! It's going to be beautiful when you finish. jeremysgirl - I've got a couple of errands to run this morning, and DH has scheduled a zoom call with a financial advisor at 3 pm (right in the middle - way to screw up an afternoon!), but what free time I have will be spent finishing up the quilting on the baby quilt. I am 3/4 way done, so should be able to finish that part today. The hexagon quilt has been put into a long time out.

Happens to all of us with crafting. I know I've had to cool my jets on a project too when it is giving me fits.

jeremysgirl I would far rather be crafting than working, but such is life. I've also finished my morning shift. I might get in another crocheted sunburst granny square or few this afternoon while I'm on the phone to Mum, and I'm Teams card-making with my bestie this evening, so I will be crafting.

I took the afternoon off work. It's too nice and sunny of a day not to enjoy the weather. I will crochet on my deck.

Are you feeling better or is work just kicking your butt right now? Both! I am definitely feeling better, otherwise I don't think I'd be able to cope with the work at the moment. I've seriously never known it so busy; the calls are coming through non-stop. I literally run out of breath, feel guilty when I have to stop and make a cup of tea or spend a penny, and worry about the patients and the doctors after my shift ends. The NHS is struggling, big time. On the other hand I got 3 squares done while I was listening to Mum setting the world to rights! Are you crafting when you finish work? ETA: I just saw your update. Yay for nice weather and crafting outside. We've had every kind of weather today: sun, rain, hail, wind, thunder, rainbows, blue sky, cloud and now mist. Autumn weather eh? lol

I will most likely pin it out and show off a picture. This month has been a little bit light on sharing. I need to see some progress pics of what everyone is working on.

I would be thrilled to have made something like that RedSquirrelUK ! It’s just gorgeous. Seriously! While I admire the serious talent and dedication it takes to make them, granny square blankets aren’t my style. But this one? Wow, I’d have that in my house in a heartbeat! Off to remind myself what pattern and yarn you used. My SIL would love it as well but I think I’m too selfish jennifercw Another gorgeous basket! Do you and your mom work on opposite sides of the basket or is it just you both create your own while visiting? Your cat looks very helpful I had one cat in particular that was so ‘helpful’ we buried him on top of an orange piece of cardstock because if I was working on something, anything and he wanted attention he’d just come lay on my hands. Little shit. I miss him! lainey You adorable kitty looks like a troublemaker and I want it!

RedSquirrelUK I would never have realised that that variegated yarn would make such a pretty rainbow of colours. Progress pics, jeremysgirl? Here’s where I’m up to on the autumn blanket. I’m really enjoying how it’s turning out. The next band is more acorns and I might see if I can tweak them a little to make them more rounded.

I love it gillyp the colors are gorgeous. The skull blanket by Sixel Designs has some nice stitches to get rounded edges. If you are looking for something to guide you.

Thank you RedSquirrelUK , added to my favorites and am currently tracking down the yarn! I had fun going through the old craft threads looking for it, though lots of y’all are probably going to be confused when ‘likes’ pop up to your old posts

jennifercw Another gorgeous basket! I miss him! Thanks! So mostly we choose a pattern or style and each weave our own version of that particular basket. Sometimes we are working on completely different baskets. But it is fun to just spend time together. And it's nice to have my mom around when I get stuck and need some help. It's also nice when it gets to be around 5 or 6 pm and my dad brings us each a glass of wine! We have this joke that some of our baskets are "shit/damn baskets". As in "shit, I messed up 3 rows back and have to rip it out" or "damn, I don't have enough hands to hold all this reed where I need it to be." Weaving shit/damn baskets is slightly less frustrating when sipping a nice glass of chardonnay. 🤣 Probably more than you wanted to know. LOL - sorry! I hate that you are missing your cat but love that you buried him laying on a "craft project". Cats do like to be involved in everything, don't they? Or at least like you to NOT be involved in anything if they are in the mood for a head scratch...

I am working away on my Yuletide blanket. I adore this one! I am on row 45, so I still have a long way to go. I already have one planned in shades of black whites and grays for a friend, and another in similar Lucy colors with a few substitutions for my brother and his partner. It's such a gorgeous pattern, and I wish I had more time to work on it.

teri I love your patterns and sewing! Please post away! jeremysgirl I am so excited to see that shawl progress/done! gillyp LOVE the blanket! It looks like it'll be nice and warm to snuggle up in! I'm working on finishing crafts that have been piling up and not getting done. I had bath and body works candle jars from a past student piled up that needed to have wax removed and scrubbed (took me like 2 hours!). I had to assemble my 3-d printed locking coffins that I made for halloween for people- only 5 but took forever to make- each one takes 12 hours to print in 2 different printings of 6 hours each! I have one more lid to print/assemble then get candy to fill it with for teachers and friends. I'm finishing up the masks I started last weekend. I ran out of elastic so I'll need to go to Joann's tomorrow and get more probably unless my dd goes to open gymnastics and I can sneak off then. Basically trying to get the pool table cleaned up because it's a piled up mess of half done stuff. Oh, and I have a TON of grading to do on google classroom because I was a slacker last week. LOL
