Really looking forward to the sequel to my favorite Hallmark Christmas movie ever, the one where the hunky fireman adopts a stray cat. I believe that isn't premiering until thanksgiving weekend. The Nine Kittens of Christmas premieres on November 25 so erm... *Googles when the US Thanksgiving takes place this year* oh, on actual Thanksgiving! Turkey and kitties. Brendan Routh never did another Hallmark movie after Nine Lives of Christmas, did he? Kind of a big deal that they managed to lure him back 7 years later.

So I signed up for the Hallmark Movie Network through Amazon prime. But I don't think I get the new movies? Should I do Frndly tv instead? I am still on the 7 day trial.

Lot of pea love for this movie! 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/124584/hallmark-christmas-moviesHopefully his return is a sign of a good script and not a bad sign for his career.

If you want to watch live stuff, I'd switch over. The Movies Now thing works similar to netflix where they have a selection to choose from, but it's not live or week to week. They'll probably have a lot of past seasons movies but not this years.

Is the app the only way to find the full schedule, including reruns, for the 2021 movies? Does anyone know? I have missed 3 or 4 new movies this year already and want to know when they'll replay since the new ones don't seem to be available on demand. There's the general schedule on the website ( Hallmark Channel/ Movies & Mysteries) so you'd have to identify the new movies you've missed and mark those dates down. Boyfriends of Christmas Past runs tonight at 8PM. The Santa Stakeout will play again tomorrow, Friday, at 6PM. Thank you! I set the DVR to catch those and a couple more. I'd rather watch through Roku but the DVR will do to catch me up. I'm so spoiled by Netflix - I want all the new stuff on demand!

Hilarie Burton went very public with her reason for walking out on a Hallmark movie (and subsequently the entire Hallmark-verse) due to refusal from execs to honour her diversity representation requests. None of the openly liberal Hallmark stars have left for GAC and I doubt any of them will. Who are the other openly liberal stars? Paul Campbell, Kimberly Sustad, and Luke McFarland are the only ones I can think of. Along those lines, I wonder if CCB will jump ship when her Hallmark channel contract ends.

Off the top of my head, Nikki DeLoach, Andrew Walker, Bethany Joy Lenz, Robert Buckley, Merritt Patterson, Erin Krakow. I'm sure there are more I'm not thinking of straight away because I've been surprised in the past couple of years how many recurring Hallmark stars have been posting IG stories about allyship, Biden-Harris, BLM, etc.

So is Frndly Tv the best way to get the Hallmark channels? We don't have cable It’s just the cheapest way that I know of to get them. I did Philo a couple of years, and liked it. It has more additional channels than Frndly TV, which was nice, but not personally worth the price difference for me. Frndly is $5.99-$9.99 a month depending on which plan you choose, and Philo was $20 when I did it, but I kind of think it’s $25 now.

I signed up for Frndly TV last holiday season and have no complaints. I got the free trial and then paid for a month? 6 bucks for all the Hallmark Christmas I could want was not too shabby.

I’m still on the free trial with Philo.
On Frndly, are you able to DVR the movies and then fast forward through the commercials? Watching commercials is a deal breaker to me!

And there's the ability to watch things from the past 3 days on demand where you can't fast forward..but I just go to the guide and hit record for it to be in my recorded section to FF through.

They have 3 different plans, I don’t believe the cheapest plan comes with dvr. I do the middle one that is $7.99 so that I can have unlimited dvr, HD video quality, and I can watch on 2 screens at a time instead of 1 (so my daughter can watch also whenever she wants), I think those are the main upgrades from the cheapest $5.99 plan. The most expensive plan let’s you watch on more screens at a time, and they store your recordings for more months.

I watched all 3 new ones last weekend and I'd rank them in this order, from best to worst: The Santa Stakeout, Boyfriends of Christmas Past, You, Me, and the Christmas Trees.
I just can't handle Winnie Cooper playing a 24 year old. She's 46. And Benjamin Ayres in his twenties? I don't think so. And the "I can't diversify my crops because my Dad loves Christmas trees" is beyond stupid. Plus I don't think Winnie can act. I do, however, like her for nostalgia purposes.
I really liked watching Degrassi's Sav in the boyfriends movie. I liked the lead but some stuff was just bad, I agree with the others on here - her wigs, especially.
The Santa Stakeout was campy but fun, and I really like Paul Campbell's movies especially.
FYI one of my favourite movies is The Mistletoe Promise with Luke McFarlane and Jaime King.
So going forward that's my baseline.
I just don't know if I can keep up between the 4 major Christmas movie networks - its a lot. My son is already annoyed that there's Christmas movies on TV all day before Halloween, his high holy holiday, lol.

I'm watching the Boyfriends of Christmas Past right now. Finished the Santa Stakeout the other day, it was cute.
I might watch Girlfriends of Christmas Past to compare with the Hallmark version. The Hallmark version has no Matthew McConaughey so that is unfortunate.

I got Frndlytv last year and I just got it again. For $7.99/month i was able to record the movies and watch it without commercials. You can watch live TV too.

jenna I didn't know there was a way to skip commercials. Thanks, they've been driving me mad! So far I've only watched You, Me and the Christmas Trees - not amazing. I got sidetracked watching Little House on the Prairie, I Dream of Jeannie and Good Witch!

I re-signed up for Frndly last night since they sent me another reminder e-mail and I had a few minutes. I went with the $8 middle plan, as mentioned above thread. I forgot about the DVR feature! I can't watch any Christmas prior to Halloween, but tomorrow it'll be on like Donkey Kong.

I watched Coyote Creek Christmas last night. The main character's parents give her a SCRAPBOOK of all the memories of the inn they are selling. Obviously they are not scrapbookers LOL b/c there is just one book to record all the memories...

I turned Hallmark on a few times last week during the day when I was busy just to hear the cozy background music, and see glimpses of the movies, because I’m so excited, and couldn’t wait! But, I am waiting until November to start actually watching the new movies. I’m all for celebrating Christmas as long as you want, but I do tend to get burnt out a little on the music & movies if I start to early. I want to make sure it stays magical until Christmas Day. I’m so excited that tomorrow is November….bring it on!!!!👏🏻👏🏻 ✨✨✨✨

I’ve actually already got a good start on my Christmas shopping for this year too! I am more than ready for some Christmas cheer!! I actually had my first "battle" online trying to snag something for DS. Santa sticks to 5 gifts (read/want/need/surprise/wear) so I wasn't stressing necessarily, but definitely frustrated in trying to get Target to stop saying "sold out" every time I clicked their e-mail saying it was "in stock". Woke up the next morning and checked and it was easy peasy check out. Whew! I am very excited tomorrow is November 1st, but the burnout can be a struggle, so we'll see how much we dive in...

I watched the Christmas movie on GAC last night and loved it! They're off to a great start. It was a riff on Shakespeare, called Much Ado About Christmas. I loved the male lead in particular, although a bit of a hair trim would have been good. I can't resist the British accents. The setting was beautiful, too - it was filmed in Romania. This is going in my top 5, pretty sure.

I am not at all up with the Christmas movie schedules and we don't have access to the Hallmark channel as far as I know, but I am hoping that one of you knowledgeable fans can advise on some Netflix/Amazon Prime holiday viewing recommendations this year please? A new series of Home for Christmas? That German series about a young man coming home for the holidays?
(OK...I just checked in last year's Christmas journal - Home for Christmas , Over Christmas (the German one) and the one whose name I couldn't remember but was cute enough to be memorable - Dash and Lily!!)
I also remember seeing a list of Holiday episodes to watch - with series and episode numbers, like Gilmore Girls series x episode y, West Wing series x Episode y......and so on. There were loads and I meant to copy it somewhere I couldn't lose it....but, I guess I have no need to finish that sentence. Can anyone help with that one please?
Sorry, hopeless but determined here and grateful for all suggestions!!

We spent the weekend Halloweening it up so I now have 4 movies to catch up on throughout the week. Hoping for a good one in the new bunch! The Christmas Promise on Movies & Mysteries looked good from the previews. Has anyone watched it? A spoiler-free rating perhaps? (OK...I just checked in last year's Christmas journal - Home for Christmas , Over Christmas (the German one) and the one whose name I couldn't remember but was cute enough to be memorable - Dash and Lily!!) Home for Christmas and Over Christmas have both ended, alas. I haven't heard of a Dash and Lily follow-up either. Netflix's European limited series for Christmas this year is very much catering towards a young audience. Not gonna lie, I'm selfishly a little disappointed this is France's turn for the Christmas series considering how niche it is. But if it makes the young'uns happy, so be it. They also deserve some Christmas romance fun! However, Netflix is releasing its first Christmas rom-com movie of the year this week: The gay Christmas rom-com, Single All the Way, comes in early December. No trailer yet. There will also be a promising Spanish Christmas movie about a grinchy Spaniard who hates Christmas finding himself forced to spend time in a small town that lives and breathes Christmas just before the holidays. It's called A Mil Kilómetros de la Navidad ( 1000 Miles from Christmas - which makes no sense in terms of metric-imperial conversion ) and comes out on Christmas Eve. That should be way more in the vein of the two European limited series you mentioned. Also waiting to hear more about A Castle for Christmas starring Brooke Shields and Cary Elwes from Princess Bride, set in beautiful Scotland (premiering on November 30). No trailer yet either. IndieWire has a decent one.
