Let the scrapping begin! I have most of the weekend cleared. 1. What are your plans for this crop? Anything specific in mind you want to get to? At minimum I want to get all the photos printed from our 2019 Disney trip. And then start scrapping it! 2. Talking about all things scrappy, are there any new or upcoming releases you're excited about? None of the new stuff is anything I would use. Still desperate for some decent boy themed paper like rocks and mud. Other than that I don't really need anything new as all my paper bins are already filled to the brim 3. How's the weather like in your nook of the world? Started out decent and sunny this morning and this afternoon changed to cold and dreary with snow. Supposed to stay that way the rest of the weekend so no guilt here about staying inside.

linda you are killing it- so many wonderful pages already! Great job. I’ve got one done so far - completed last week’s PL spread. Used some of the new AE awesome story kit and some old items from my stash.

paget - thank you - I've been lucky enough to spend the whole day in my craft room. I love the colours on your spread and that you documented both the awesome and the not so. DH just asked me if I wanted him to just pick up take away for dinner so I could keep scrapping! Isn't he sweet? Old paper DH picked up for me a while back at a thrift store - I don't especially care for the chevrons but... And Echo park stickers. And gosh, my photo is all washed out on the right.

I'm impressed with everyone who has already completed pages. I finished up a page this morning, and once I've had breakfast I think I'm going to start work on my next one.

DH just asked me if I wanted him to just pick up take away for dinner so I could keep scrapping! Isn't he sweet? Now that is super thoughtful! You've been so busy already this weekend, I love coming into the thread and seeing it filled with pages. I really like the chevron on this page, I think the colours work beautifully with your photos.

sleepingbooty , I am loving your little gif's, especially the cat with the printer: kinda represents my relationship with any electronics ! I saw the ad for Turning Red. Going to look for it on Disney+. Linda , you are off to a great start! Such sweet pic's of your girls when they were younger. And your ds's college page has wonderful blocking. Good luck finishing up 28-4-28, Ryann . I lost count while I was away from home, of what I had done and what I still need to do. I had planned to have those challenges and the bingo card guide me this weekend, but the two LO's I put together today just kinda made themselves, with no attempt to do anything but get the photos on the pages and tell their stories.
I am impressed again with your PL pages, paget. They are so much fun to look at!

grammadee - the boys and their dog - what super photos and your layout with pawprints, hearts, and that great journal card - perfect! And the music page? the embellishments are spot on and the paper combination gives it an edgy feel - just right for musicians and teens alike. Finished one more and am working on journalling for another. DH and DD15 just left to go pick up dinner - fish and chips, I believe. Echo Park Wild Life collection - sorry for the blurry pic

paget I love seeing how others do their PL pages, I always pick up ideas of things to try. I really love your photo collages, especially as a way of including what you're listening to and social media/news screenshots. And I'm trying to get over my fear of sticking an embellishment in the middle of the photo like this, I love the look but always shy away from it. Linda that wood background paper is just perfect and I love how you've anchored your journaling with the acorns. I love the simple blocks on your deer page, it's just the perfect amount of colour and pattern for those adorable photos. grammadee I've left love in the gallery.

I ended up working in the garden for a while, and have now filled the green waste bin which seemed as good a time as any to stop (that and the cat decided the *perfect* place to sit was in the middle of the spot I was trying to dig up).
I've watched quite a few of the Christy's beautiful life 30 days of sketches videos on youtube and think I'm going to work on some of those sketches to get me started.

I'll have to check out those sketch videos Chinagirl828 - I love working from sketches. I think the background is from a Hot Buy paper pad from Michaels - the hearts are a QK die cut. And the quote is cut from a journalling card

Thank you Chinagirl828 - I've requested access to the Fb group. This layout was originally inspired by AussieMeg 's Sketchy Saturday for March 12th...but it rapidly got derailed. I'm not 100% thrilled with but it's done. EP PP (animals) - I'm not sure about the yellow dots. Brads are 15+ years old - probably Eyelet Outlet. Giraffe and leaves are Sandy Lion c. 2001

3. How's the weather like in your nook of the world? It's a long weekend here, and we have come down to the beach for three days. Earlier in the week they were forecasting temps in the low 30s which would be perfect for the beach. The revised forecast is for mid to high 20s, so still nice but not the hot beach weather that I love.
1. What are your plans for this crop? Anything specific in mind you want to get to? I'm not sure how much scrapping I'm going to get done, because I will be spending as much time as possible outside and at the beach. I want to work on some of the 28-4-28 challenges that I didn't get finished last month.
2. Talking about all things scrappy, are there any new or upcoming releases you're excited about? Even though I am sad that summer is over here, I am happy that spring in the northern hemisphere means the new scrapbook kits will be lovely fresh spring colours. I don't tend to buy as much from October through to February, because I really don't like northern hemisphere autumn / Halloween / Thanksgiving / traditional Christmas / winter colours.

More zoo photos from 2010 The title is ancient - I think it was a paper with blocks of different animal names...this was the very last piece I had. Sticker was also the very last one from its sheet. Hearts are QK Archery die. Paper is EP. Stickers are Sandylion - I have FOUR identical zoo animal sheets in varying degrees of used. Brad is probably Eyelet Outlet. Alpha is QK Vixen

You are on fire today Linda! I love that pre-made title block on the lions page and you've matched it with the perfect colours. And I adore that little giraffe peeking out the top of your giraffe page.

Here's the first page I've made this weekend that I can share. This is for my 2010 album and the journaling was already written so I've left it even though I would have written it differently today.

Kicking things off with 3 questions... 1. What are your plans for this crop? Anything specific in mind you want to get to? 2. Talking about all things scrappy, are there any new or upcoming releases you're excited about? 3. How's the weather like in your nook of the world? 1) I'm working on a mini album class from Layle Koncar called Grateful Heart. I did her Disney album class and loved it! 2) Two collections that I have my eye on are Simple Stories Celebrate ( hoping to use this for adult bday pages) and Vicki Boutin's Sweet Rush. 3) Woke up to low temps and a couple inches of snow this morning. But on Sunday temps will be up by 30 degrees!

Chinagirl828 - I love that! The colours work so well together and the alphas you used were perfect! Those gold stars are awesome! Last one for tonight for me - but I think it's my favourite from today. Inspired by a BH sketch, EP paper and sticker

grammadee Great 2 pagers! I especially like the way you did the titles with different fonts! sleepingbooty Thanks for organizing this scrappy weekend! I've barely started my December daily project. ( should I admit to losing my enthusiasm for the project?) Chinagirl828 I enjoy working from sketches and will definitely check those out. Love the colors and especially your title/alpha stickers on your layout.

Here's my next page (and the colours on the book vellum do match irl, my scanner just wanted to blow them out for some reason). This leaves me with only 4 layouts left to complete on my 50 layouts before shopping freeze so my goal is to try and complete those this weekend.

sleepingbooty, I am so jealous! I really want to see that. My DSIL is a Pixar animator who worked on it. It is not coming to the theatres, and is just on Disney+. We don't have Disney+. Our DD who lives in town does and says she will invite us over. I am very anxious to see it. It was so, so good! Tell your SIL he contributed to a beautiful Pixar movie. The transition scenes were incredibly well done but I love the change of scenery to the bamboo forest the most. The bright firy red against the soft, soothing green was gorgeous. It made me feel so inspired to play with colours and scrappy products. I hope you can see it soon. Great message, incredible depiction of the difficulties of growing up and what it means for growing into your own person, really fun and just beautiful. At minimum I want to get all the photos printed from our 2019 Disney trip. And then start scrapping it! Yay, Disney park memories! Sending you good printer vibes... (I handled a bunch of bad ones yesterday so hopefully took the hit for this thread ) DH just asked me if I wanted him to just pick up take away for dinner so I could keep scrapping! Isn't he sweet? Aww, that's so sweet and thoughtful! Wishing you a lovely time at the wedding you're attending today, by the way. I'm impressed with everyone who has already completed pages. I finished up a page this morning, and once I've had breakfast I think I'm going to start work on my next one. Everyone's been so busy already, I'm so impressed too. I am loving your little gif's, especially the cat with the printer: kinda represents my relationship with any electronics ! We all have an inner cat, especially when it comes to electronics. And administration (at least in super bureaucratic France anyway ). May we conquer the world (and our scrappy projects) like true felines today!

And a happy Saturday to all! I'm about to print some small-sized photos for my memory planner since I got around to finishing 3 weekly spreads last night minus the images. Then I'll head right back in here to share some love for all the pretty projects you've added over the past 12h. So many beautiful pages already! After that, I think I'll be digging up my December Daily mini next to get a few spreads done. Today's questions: 1. Are you a background distraction kind of scrapper or do you thrive in complete silence? If you like something playing while you craft, are you more into movies/series or music? What's on your play/watch list this weekend? 2. Is there anything in the scrapbooking, cardmaking or general crafting world you've been meaning to try but haven't yet? A technique, product, aesthetic or project? 3. Scrappy pet peeves, share yours! (ruh-roh, this may start some drama )

1. I ***NEED*** background distractions!! Either beach/ocean sounds (especially with seagulls screaming in there!). Or a comedy news show like Steven Colbert or Trevor Noah. Sometimes a documentary, but then I get sucked in.
2. Can "Anything newer than 2010" be the answer? 😀 I've definitely stuck to what I have, and what I know how to do for a long time. I have used newer paper than that, but around 2010 was when I stopped making sb-ing a priority.
3. Scrappy pet peeves:
Running out of adhesive. And being sure there's a backup in the drawer. But there's not.
Breaking an older paper punch (just lost a Martha Stewart heart punch last month. Spring sprung for the last time & it fell apart. It gave me thousands of good cuts though)
When I have just a few more pages left to make, but my album is bursting at the seams already and I dunno if it'll all fit, but there's not enough for two albums.
Dare I even mention being a sticker letter short for a title?
My own laziness at diecutting title letters. I could have INFINITE alpha letters, but do I really feel like making the sandwich and cranking the ZipeMate? Lazy, I tell ya.. 😁
Cutting paper wrong.
When a collection uses the exact same image or phrase too many times, and it seems silly to use it over and over in pages right next to each other.
Shedding glitter. Seriously, please no.

Ladies posting your layouts: Gorgeous! Love, love, love seeing them! You all have talent in spades!😁
I actually haven't sat down and scrapped, even though I fully planned to starting yesterday evening. But then family needs this & that...
I'm really hoping that today is my day.
