You Peas are being so crafty! I can't keep up with all the awesome-ness. Love that everyone is scrapping and having fun together. Linda, your little Annabelle was so very photogenic. I love her pretty Pre-school dress and the way you used it in the colors of your page. Love that plaid too. Even the belly button? Kids are so great!I donโt blame her for not liking homemade face paint. But your photos are so cute and those circles on the paper perfectly match her apron.~ Great job on Simonโs college page. I have to chuckle that you bought the sticker for YOUR college pages. So many things to scrap and so little time!~ I love the purples on Cathleen. That iridescent unicorn is beautiful. Did you cut that on your Cricut? Sweet page.~I love the full length photo of A in her pretty dress. The QK Scottie is a perfect accent for your page. Congrats on altering a purchased phrase to fit your page.~ The two blues on your pool page look great together. I love the yellow accents and the use of the yellow strip to tie them together.~ I love your chevrons on the Nature page. They carry the eye across the page. Not much of them show so they donโt overwhelm your beautiful photos.~ Your camping photos are so green and pretty. I had some of that wood paper and just loved it. I think you used it beautifully.~ Your deer photos are great. I love the simple blocks of pp down the left side. Cute cluster with the acorns/pinecones.~ Your godmother page is such a great design. Itโs another of yours I drew out to scraplift.~Perfect paper and stickers for your zoo page. Wonderful photos of both animals and family.~Wow, I love your lion photos and page. It could be the cover of a Zoo magazine. The zebra page is also wonderful. I love the stickers and the perfect zebra paper that is used as an accent piece.~Great design on your Zooventure page. I love that big large matted photo. Such a great look.~ Great job on Born to be Wild. Another page that could be the cover of a Zoo magazine. paget, your pocket pages are amazing. I wish I could get that to work for me. I love the way they all tie together on your pages. Wonderful journaling! Iโm glad you journaled both awesome and not so awesome. Very classy pages. grammadee, you have love in the gallery. You accomplished a lot while you were tending. marie, That album is beautiful. You mentioned an instructor, was this a class? I love the interactive pages we can see. Iโd love it see it all finished. Gorgeous papers. jeremysgirl, I love your pocket pages. Your journaling and you little accents on the pockets are so pretty and eye-catching. Iโm glad you included your pets and I am jealous of your lovely Fiesta sets. I am so impressed with your needlework talents. I love that you have included everyday things to remember. You are doing a fabulous job on these. sleepingbooty, your page is so very classy. It is so artistic. I love the torn pieces, the washi tape and all the stitching. I especially love the white space that makes the eye go right to those photos. Iโm glad your parents are no longer locked down!

Put away the three completed layouts in their albums.
Pulled out my senior's photos from this year so far. I've sorted them by month and competition/event, and slipped them in page protectors. I need better/more special pattern paper to do those than what I have now.
I also added a sticker to a layout I did a month ago. at the time I couldn't find it but had wanted to use it originally. I came across it & put it right on, before losing it again.

I just finished two Pandemic layouts, Jan & February 2022. Documented the free tests & masks in the US, the 900k usa covid deaths grim milestone, and a few famous people who have contracted covid.
I'm about to work on a page of covid memes.

My mother's list of photos she wanted me to scrap for her included a couple of portraits my SO shot while we were waiting for a museum to open at the start of the year and that she saw in my PL photo order. Am I the only one who finds it bizarre scrapping your own face up close? What do I even do? What do I even write? Oh well, after messing with the LO for far too long, I just settled on whatever-this-will-be-fine... "January 2022" | I couldn't even figure out what to put for journaling here... She wasn't with us for the museum visit! | BINGO: oversized, vertical disposition, hidden (half my face behind that scarf, I'm just going to count it )

LavenderLayoutLady - using them - yes. Putting a dent in the pile? not so much. Great job on the pandemic layouts. I need to do a couple of updates for my album. I documented Jan 2020-Mar 2021 but not so much after that other than our vaccines. sleepingbooty - beautiful photo - I like the simplicity of your layout and I think it's good to scrap you every now and then. Finished the pandemic memes layout. Really happy because I used a background pp that I've had for years, but couldn't make work. The color was right, so I just layered four other large pp scraps (that I really loved) on top, so you only see just a bit of border.
That's it for me for today. Family "needs" me.
Am I the only one whose family comes to check on me while I scrap, at least every few minutes?! To ask a question. Or tell me a really cool story they just remembered. Or because they are hungry. Again. Thirsty this time. Want a hug. Whatcha working on? And on, and on...
Tomorrow I should have more time.

Hi everyone, I'm just NOW sitting down to start scrapping -- not really the way I planned for this weekend to go, but it's a good thing/bad thing! I've been organizing this week in preparation for scrapping this weekend, but it got a bit derailed late yesterday afternoon when DH & I got into a discussion about reorganization of my scrapbook room & home office (small extra bedroom), and that spilled over into today. This was brought on by DH wanting to replace 2 of the tall bookcases in his office. Nothing wrong with them, they just have a slight overhang on the trim/edges, which he hates because it makes them difficult to use for the books he's trying to store on them. This feature would not bother me at all (and also I want them for SB/craft supplies, not books).
So he and I have been working on figuring out a room rearrangement so that one of the two bookcases can come live in my room (yay!). The most practical solution involves me getting rid of the huge corner desk I have for my desktop computer (NOT my scrapping worktable, that stays put). Getting rid of this desk is a definite plus for me because I dislike this desk anyway - it's a monstrosity and not particularly useful (although I've adapted to make it work for me). I "inherited" this desk from elsewhere in the house where it had been used for many (many) years as part of a family workstation area beginning when kids were in elementary school. Also it's partially falling apart, the finish is degrading, and it's definitely not something I'd choose given a preference...so we've been desk shopping...and measuring (again and again)...and drawing out various options, etc. And of course the best desk I've found so far that will work is (tell me if you've heard this before)...out of stock, LOL. Anyway, I'm taking an "organizing" break to actually do some scrapping.
Love all the layouts posted so far!

Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention the other reason my scrapping time for the weekend was derailed: I came down with a UTI this week and even though I started on antibiotics a couple days ago, I'm incredibly tired! On top of that I didn't sleep well last night so I'm dragging...
So on top of DH coming in to measure something in my space every 30 minutes or so, and update me with a new plan for rearranging (which is actually really nice - I'm not complaining!!), I actually took a short break to have caffeine (cup of coffee) after 6 PM --> which I NEVER do. Now I probably won't sleep well tonight either, LOL. Oh well I have more energy now and finished 2 pages that have been languishing on my desk for far too long.
ETA: I'll post pics tomorrow!

@scraqppinwithoutpeas - hope you feel better soon - that's no fun glad you had a nice time at the wedding, can't wait to see future wedding layouts! not sure I'll be scrapping the wedding - I didn't take photos and while I asked DH to take a selfie of us...it's not as good as one might have hoped I love the vertical banners accenting the portrait photos while the mat and accents draw in the horizontal - great layout

@lavendarlayoutlady, it sounds like even with interuptions you had a scrappy productive day! @scrappingwithoutpeas, I hope you feel better tomorrow, and can get some uninterrupted creative time. Exciting to think about a newly organized craft room, but hard to do when you are in the middle of scrapping! Linda, I love your minimalist style. Those animal stickers are the perfect final touch on each of those zoo LO's.

And a happy Saturday to all!ย I'm about to print some small-sized photos for my memory planner since I got around to finishing 3 weekly spreads last night minus the images. Then I'll head right back in here to share some love for all the pretty projects you've added over the past 12h. So many beautiful pages already! ย After that, I think I'll be digging up my December Daily mini next to get a few spreads done.ย Today's questions: 1. Are you a background distraction kind of scrapper or do you thrive in complete silence? If you like something playing while you craft, are you more into movies/series or music? What's on yourย play/watch list this weekend? 2. Is there anything in the scrapbooking, cardmaking or general crafting world you've been meaning to try but haven't yet? A technique, product, aesthetic or project?ย 3. Scrappy pet peeves, share yours! (ruh-roh, this may start some dramaย ย ย ) 1) I usually listen to audiobooks while crafting. However this weekend, I'm watching the replay of the mini album class and need to do a lot of pausing or rewinding. 2) I would like to learn more card making techniques since I only know basic stamping. 3) Agree with other scrappers about the overuse of catch phrases. How many times can I use "say cheese" on a Disney layout.

Chinagirl828 Love the library layout and especially the book vellum. jeremysgirl Great PL spreads. Very balanced. I really like how you documented your knitting project. sleepingbooty Ouch! Glad you didn't need to go to emergency and hope it heals quickly. Love the color combo of the lockdown layout. And I like the oversize photo on your second layout. I agree that it can be hard to scrap photos of yourself grammadee nylene The mini album class I'm taking is from Layle Koncar ( Layle by Mail is her website. She used to work for Simple Stories). She does a very good job breaking down the project. You receive written instructions with cutting guides and you can pause/rewind the video, which is the key for me. If you like mini albums or traveler's notebook projects, I can recommend her. Her Disney album was fantastic.

LavenderLayoutLady Sending a hug. Glad you have those memories of your mom. High five on getting pages into albums. I struggle with that for some reason and have a whole stack of layouts sitting on my desk. I really like the idea of a layout documenting covid memes. Sounds like you had a productive day! grammadee Glad the dgk's weren't too sick. It's great that your family always sends you pix to scrap. This will be a great page to look back on one day. linda Your zoo pages are reminding me of when my boys were little and our trips to the zoo. I like your use of black to make photos and elements pop. I really like the Wolf Pack line and used it for my nephew's album. scrappinwithoutpeas Yay for a new desk! And hope you are feeling better soon. scrappyrabbit Great 2 pager! Love your big title. And the placement of the banners on the second page really showcases your photos.

Okay, getting started!
Am I the only scrapper who has a pile of kid drawings, letters, memorabilia that needs to be put into albums?
I just slipped last year's Christmas lists, several school drawings, a note from my oldest, & a school worksheet into page protectors and put them into their albums. Sometimes I forget that I let that stuff pile up.
This morning I'm working on school photos. I have school portraits, school events, and morale boosting days (like for 2-22-22).
All this scrapping makes me really want to shop!

Sorry for being a little more succinct than usual with my commenting from here on but I'm trying to leave love for everyone and alas, I don't have Hermione Granger's time-turner. ๐ ๐ More love for p. 2 creations ๐ Linda 'Godmother' I love the contrast work you've done here and the soft blush shade that underlines the love shared so well. Those thick hearts cast a beautiful, dramatic shadow that brings the darker tones from the paper selection back in "naturally", too. The bittersweet emotional moment has been captured and rendered so well. 'Feeding giraffes' Ah, a perfect paper selection! The colours of the zoo animal PP fit perfectly with your photos, I'm impressed. I love how you mixed up the picture formats here instead of going for the go-to vertical shot for such a tall animal. The dot yellow paper brings an elegant and subtle contrast to the giraffe spot pattern, just great. And of course, 3 giraffe embellishments for 3 giraffes in the photos (and the BINGO card, of course). ๐ 'Lions' I really like that you kept it simple and used the lion's fur colour as your main design element to gracefully frame the photos. It's just the right amount of paper work to make the pictures pop. 'Zooventure' You did a wonderful job with the BH sketch. I love how the paper pattern has this bursting star effect because of the shape of those yellow flowers: it gives an extra pop to the photos you matted with it. I really like all the isolation work you've done here with the exta long red mat under the journaling strip, the exterior mats to partially frame that bottom photo on the left and the triangulation with the red cardstock. ๐ Very fun! Chinagirl828 'Mamma Mia' Oh my, be still my heart! This is gorgeous. I love your whimsical play with patterns that just keeps the eye guessing and going between the rounder shapes, the horizontal lines, the diagonal lines, only to to then settle on the bright and cheery vertical lines in the photos. Such smart and fun design! ๐คฉ I love how you "cut off" the horizontal bottom strip to isolate the title and journaling: it brings a moment of quiet to let the brain focus on the words in contrast with the colourful main body. Incredible! (Ugh, how pretty are those alpha Thickers!) 'Library love' What a charming ode to your nightstand this LO is. Those peachy tones are so soft and pleasing, the perfect shade to document little pleasures like books. I love how you've played with monochromatic embellishments: it's so subtle and delicate. The butterflies are a beautiful symbol for how we change and grow from the stories we read, the knowledge we acquire when we get lost in books. And the bibliophile vellum is a beautiful touch of extra dreaminess. This LO makes my heart sigh... โจ marie 'Mini album' This is so beautiful and dreamy... I love the overall effect of softness your mini exudes. That blue linen spinen is the perfect complement to all those feminine tones of pink. You've done an incredible job at executing the techniques used, too. It's classy, elegant and refined. I really like how you've incorporated little touches of contrast like the darker (doodle?) stitched borders and the folded corner for the flap element. Everything flows perfectly and I keep getting these little surprised like noticing the butterflies and hearts. So, so pretty! ๐

Beautiful Courage LO, sleepingbooty. I love the textured look of the background and the cluster of pretty things around the photo strip. One day I will put together an elegant page like this... @lavendarlayoutlady, I love that you are keeping a scrappy record of the kids' artwork and school projects. I didn't scrapbook when my kids were kids. A couple of years ago I went through a bunch of boxes in our basement, purged a huge amount, but pulled out items of interest to give to each of them. But I still did not even take a photo of those items before handing them off. Adjusting to Daylight savings time this morning. [y..a...w...n...] Just splattered inks all over a VB foundations cs for a background, and now need to diecut some hearts. Then I will be ready to start my February calendar page.

beautiful layout sleepingbooty - very elegant. I love the textured background and the subtle colours LavenderLayoutLady - I don't save as much as I did when they were small but there's still the occasional kid paper that makes it in the album. grammadee - yawn indeed - the combination of daylight savings and the iced tea I was drinking at the wedding (caffeine) has left me tired today
