I'll add something else too. I am always like 3 years late to the party. I seem to have little to no recognition of paper or lines that I actually like and then I "discover" them years later only to find out that they are nigh impossible to locate or buy. They seem to always be in Australia too. Sometimes I think that if I ever get to Australia I will just come home with about 5 suitcases of scrapbook supplies because everything I want is there.
I don't generally consider myself a derpy kind of person, but dang...I need to stay more on top of things because I am tired of hunting for collections from years past that I love.

This is the stuff of scrappy nightmares! Before you know it, you're spending hours going down scrappy rabbit holes, tracking your must-have pieces down on Ebay, in obscure online shops from obscure locations, trying the Etsy route for embellishments and spending waaaay too much money on ordering 4 pattern papers and a sticker sheet. #beentheredonethat

Let's not even talk about whether or not I have actually used this yet. Which leads me to another confession, my scrappy bestie has challenged me to a freeze for 2024. I have more than enough stuff that I should be enjoying and could scrap for way longer than a year without using it up. It would also be great to get the stash a little more under control. However, I also have major FOMO even though I know that more nice paper would be just around the corner when I am ready to shop again.

Maybe allow yourself to spend x amount of money on say, 3 collections? (Eta: or 1 a qtr) You’ll still limit yourself, but knowing that if you truly love a collection you can at least get a limited amount of it. Sort of like dieting, when you restrict yourself too much you’re more likely to cheat or binge. Whereas if you schedule some cheats, you’re a lot less likely. Just a thought. And if I scheduled something like that that far in the future I know I’d be panic shopping up until that point

We Aussie peas would be happy to share with you - I have the same fomo as usa peas as some items just never make it all the way here so we have to pay the stupendous shipping costs 😢 Maybe we’re hoarding all the good stuff so you have to come and visit us 🧐😏 I’m always saying to my daughter if I ever make it to the USA again I’d come home with a whole suitcase of scrapbooking items only.

This was me with Shimelle’s Little by Little collection. There was a chunk of time, about 5 years, where I was not scrapping at all. After I came back to it in 2019-2020, I saw many collections I loved that I missed out on. It took me over a year of hunting, but I finally did find that collection on Ebay. The one I am still hunting for is Heidi Swapp's Wolf Pack collection. I need it. 😊

I made a ton of masculine cards with it and would happily buy it over again.

Sometimes, you do what you gotta do! LOL It was worth every penny.

I wish I'd bought two packs! In the US those alphas were actually available at Joann online, so for 40% off I did buy two more!

Although the absolutely lovely lg sent me the page protectors I had been searching for and I am forever grateful to have them and can't wait to use them!

I bought some Wolf Pack a while back when it was hard to find. Can't imagine trying to find it now. I do think I found a pack of 25 somewhere and cannot find it in my boxes of paper that must go.

[quote source="/post/3982721/thread" The one I am still hunting for is Heidi Swapp's Wolf Pack collection. I need it. 😊 I haven’t checked lately, but I am pretty sure digital Wolf Pack is available on American Crafts digi shop. It’s one of my favs too, but I had purchased a few pieces each of 2 pp designs I liked both sides of. Have used them for masculine LOs, camping LOs, and Christmas LOs. It is versatile. I almost always end up loving Heidi Swapp lines. She def has an eye for interesting combinations.

I’m not a digital scrapper so I’m not sure if it would work well, but they do have the digital version available for purchase. One pack of papers and 2 of embellishments. Could you print out the items with more of a white background so it didn’t take too much ink? eta: second time today I should have just kept reading!

This happened to me when I discovered Cocoa Vanilla last year - also late to the party! I ended up ordering a Cocoa Vanilla collection from a store in the Netherlands - shipping to Canada was surprisingly fast and inexpensive! My son moved to Australia for a year for a school exchange and let me tell you, my request for him to bring me home scrapbooking supplies is not going well! He spent the year before in Japan and despite my begging didn't even buy me a roll of washi tape - although he claims he looked once. Somehow he managed to buy plenty of Pokemon cards for his little cousins, though. I may have to threaten to withhold tuition until he gives into my scrappy demands.

Naughty son!

I don't generally consider myself a derpy kind of person, but dang...I need to stay more on top of things because I am tired of hunting for collections from years past that I love. You need some old stuff? My local pharmacy/a little bit of everything store has a craft section. They are FINALLY clearancing out their Sizzix and Ellison dies in yellow crackled packaging. They want $45.00 for a Sizzlit alpha. I did spot one Coluzzle template. Unfortunately, their paper selection is lacking except for Old Bo Bunny.
My scrappy confession is about the above store. I bought a Sizzix die that is too large for my machine. Why do I think I can just eye things and know if it will fit? It never ends well!
