I took a lot of pictures, and my photography wasn't exceptional. For Monday, I ended up using my Project Life app to make collages within a 4X6 photo. I was able to get six photos on each 4X6. I'm printing everything with my Canon Selphy for immediate gratification. I have the digital version of the WITL main kit, so I'm repeating one of the journal cards several times for Monday alone. Not sure I will do this for the rest of the days...I'm still experimenting.

What are you all putting in the stitched heart pockets? I love them but now I'm like, do what?!? I put the little vellum hearts in there with the day on them (cause I have 400millionthousand of each day of the week). I found a little white tag but I don't know what to put on it. Maybe I'll put Day 1 on there or something. I love the look of the stitched hearts, and I'm always tempted to buy them when any version of them shows up in the shop. I know for a fact that I tend to hoard rather than use them, so I pass on them whenever they are offered. I still have several from when I subscribed to the Quarterly Kits last year. I'd like to see some examples on how to use them--maybe for hidden journaling the way Jennifer Wilson did? They are just too cute, and I keep thinking I need to save them for something special.

I have trouble using them as well. How about the word of the day or a receipt, or a snippet of some kind?

I didn't buy any WITL products this year but I thought the stitched hearts would look nice to hold a small photo or two of the one thing you're extra grateful for each day. You can journal on the grid pattern of the pocket. blemon Hope your medical procedure went well!

blemon Hope your medical procedure went well! Thank you! It went well. She did a procedure that I forget the name of then I will do the chemo cream. The carcinoma was in a spot where there wasn't a lot of skin so this was the best choice. I'm glad she didn't cut.

Whew. This project is turning out bigger than I planned. I had planned to put it at the end of my PL album (Jan-June) but now the album is too fat. I feel like I’m just cramming it all in there anyway and going with it. Lol If I do it next year I will either really have to pare down or cave and it will get its own album. So far I have Wednesday completely done and part of Monday and Saturday. No rhyme or reason really to how I’m working on it. 😂 My week goes through today so I am still documenting, too, but basically done with that part. How’s it going for everyone else? Are you working on the project now or shelving it until later? Part of the reason I’m doing it now is that I didn’t take notes so I’m relying on memory (with the pictures to help jog it and I took lots of pics). So basically if I want it done with good journaling it needs to happen sooner than later.

Are you working on the project now or shelving it until later? I'm doing it now, basically as I go. This is for 2 reasons. 1 is that I didn't take any notes and can't remember tomorrow what I did yesterday. And the other is that I have this week off so I have the time. If I didn't have the week off, I would be starting it but not finishing one day per day. I'd be doing about 1/2 day per day. This is really an overwhelming task. It's absolutely worth it but it's exhausting. Worse than December Daily. I think that's because with DD I do a lot of prep in advance and it's one story per day. I have a rhythm for that since I've done it for so many years. One more thing for me is that if I don't finish a project now, I won't finish it. I know this about myself as I near 48. So I'd much rather push through so I don't have it hanging over my head.

I didn't get the hearts because I didn't know what to do with them but that's super cute!
Currently my WITL project is empty and not even started. Photos have been put into a folder on my laptop to be printed but that's it. Hopefully going to be able to work on it this weekend.

I now have Wednesday and Saturday totally done. Tuesday is about half done. I thought I would work on it more this evening but it didn’t work out. Even though it’s turning out to be a lot I’d work, I’m glad I did it. I like the completed days more than I thought.

Guys I'm finally getting around to it! Watching a Les Mis bootleg, drinking a margarita in the middle of the afternoon, and editing photos... is this that adulting thing people always talk about?

Yay! I got kind of burnt out on it and have been doing regular PL layouts instead. I have 3/7 days complete and Parts of a couple other days. Not feeling motivated currently. 😂

I literally just set up my pages! I've had zero motivation to scrapbook anything in the last month or so. But I still want to get this project done. I'm going to try to get my photos sorted out and printed which hopefully will inspire me to keep going.

Ran into a snafu trying to print my 8x10 photos at home...photos are coming out with lines and weird colors. Tried 2 and decided that I'm just going to upload them to be printed online. It's not worth the ink or frustration!

ScrappylikeaFox shared her WITL double page layout today. I thought it was a cool way to integrate a version of WITL into a regular 12x12 album, something a little more manageable. http://instagram.com/p/CgVbzuDuYyN

Oh thanks for sharing that twist on a WITL. I like it! I incorporated my WITL in my regular album but it’s too many pages/too bulky and I wouldn’t chose to do it this way next year. I might do a take of of those version- maybe spreading into 2-3 layouts which would still save more space than what I did this year.

Happy crafting all the photos and memories to everyone still working on their project!
To those waiting to get started: if you follow the Monday-Sunday week format, you're in luck because August kicks off on a Monday this year! You could do a "perfect" August 1 through 7 WITL. I'm genuinely tempted. Love summer, staycationing and having a little extra time to take photos. Sometimes, it's the small and simple things like having a fresh month begin on a Monday that is the little push you need to do a project like this...

Monday August 1st is a just over 24h away for me now. I've decided I'm doing WITL! We're headed into another heatwave next week and I have some not-so-fun stuff to deal with but I cannot resist the temptation of a perfect 1 through 7th of the month week...

It's Tuesday afternoon and I thought I'd leave a quick update on how my WITL is going so far. Monday focus: the canicule | Heatwave is not the precise translation for this term. Canicule refers specifically to too small a difference between the hot day temperatures and night temps. This means that in countries like mine where AC at home isn't widespread, we enter danger zone. The body doesn't get to cool off properly at night (we're back to having 31-32°C/88-90°F inside the apartment past midnight - it's uncomfortable), especially when it just lasts and lasts and lasts (yep, that means a spike in deaths). I documented how we just got out of 2 weeks of canicule last Wednesday and reentered canicule on Sunday night. Then I documented how this weather phenomenon is impacting our daily life: working out, daily schedule (stay up at least 2h later than usual to try and catch a little bit of a break from the heat), living in the dark with all shutters closed and even closing the windows at the warmest hours of the day, avoiding leaving home between 11AM and 5PM, etc. It was all about summer routines adapted to this weather. Tuesday focus: family | I left super early this morning to go spend some time with my mother as I'm off but my SO isn't. I'm going to include a few stories based on her life to bring her into my WITL. I'm going to write about her broken rib (grabbed a photo of her special ribcage wrap thingy), her routine fostering a senior doggy (got a lot of super cute photos), the quick grocery haul we did together before lunch (I FOUND 2 POTS OF DIJON MUSTARD, PRAISE BE! - that's a whole story in itself since France is going through a massive Dijon mustard shortage since March-April so I can document about the reasons for this shortage as well), the cost of what we bought (reasons for the current inflation) and my commute to and from her home (cue the pandemic update since I'm still wearing FFP2/N95 masks on public transportation). Today was a day away that allowed to bring in a lot of current news updates on the war in Ukraine and the pandemic. It's now nearing 4PM and I think I'll contrast being away with the simplicity of home life tonight (we will probably stay in and chill with a movie or series).

I'm done! Whew! Super thrilled to be done with this project already.
Takeaways from this year's album: -the 10x8 album from AE was pretty cool but it made the project more expensive with the big photos. -I ordered 8x10 photos (prints were on sale) and the page protectors are about 1/4" bigger so the photos slide around. I'll have to go back and fix that. -the album doesn't fit nice on my shelf with all my others. This I knew and figured that I'd be cool with it. Not sure now. -working in batches was a good thing for me to finish things up. I put in all big photos, then went back and added smaller ones, then went back to journal, then back again to add embellishments from the kit -I only got the main kit and the extra journal cards that had the 10x4 cards etc. I did not use any of the 4x6 or 3x4 pocket cards (none of the page protectors had pockets for 3x4) those will go into my PL stash. -still like the project, I think that I prefer a 6x8 album -I'm more motivated when this project comes up earlier in the calendar year. I get that I can pick any time but I enjoy the community feel.

Congrats on finishing your album! I basically lost steam on it. I’m more done than not, but not that motivated right now to finish it. I am Completely done with 3 days (mon, wed, sat). Just need to do the journaling for 3 of the days and I need to print a few more pictures on a couple of these days as well. There’s a lot of space for journaling and I didn’t take notes and I have to format it to cards which takes me forever so I keep putting it off. Done nothing for Sunday.

I forced myself to work on this today. I just want to get it done. I’m happy to report 5/7 days are totally done and the last two are done (pictures and embellishments placed) except for the journaling! I plan to finish tomorrow. But you know how plans go… Lol.
Any one else make any progress lately?

Literally finished mine last night by stealing a pic from my daughters album to fill the last space! Was going to order more prints and decided to work with what I have rather than wait another month to have it finished. Happy to report it all fit into one 3x8 album as well which is a first for me. As I used a lot of stash items the colour scheme etc of this one isn’t my favourite BUT it is done, those embellishments and cards are used and not just sitting there any more as I know I’ll never use them, and I have a new (bought on sale this year but more my style than this last lot) kit I’m excited to use for next year already sitting in an album ready to go 😁 You can do it peas, you are so close to another finished project! And for the pea not documenting Sunday, maybe a filler card with “day of rest” stamped on it if you have a spare pocket side to fill 😁
