Because her tribe has enabled her by overlooking her behavior, patting her on the head and blaming the other guys. She's not going to apologize, she's not going to admit she was wrong, she'll continue to lap up the attention and she'll make veiled (or not so veiled) references to this incident from time to time that places her in a good light. This ain't her first rodeo I dare say. |

mom I have just been talking with the YTer and at the moment she is just not ready to come out publicly. This has been a really anxious time for her. All of Janet's followers coming at her and the fallout of the FB posting. She really is a sweet sweet person and has a wonderful life. This has upended her a bit. She is worried about what may happen if Janet never comes back to Patreon and the blame they will heap upon her. Not that it matters she didn't start any of this. One of Janet's own started the now infamous FB post with veiled hints of who it was and has now vanished into the woodwork. Another reason she hasn't come out here is knowing that some, if not a lot, of the FB group could be reading here. If they didn't know or had figured out who she is, then they would from her posting. Some of those people seem unhinged with their adoration and the YTer just would like a bit of insulation from them. She gave me permission to let y'all know that she is so appreciative of your support and all that you have said here. She hopes you understand why all of this is being handled quietly.

I’ve been following/subscribed to the YT for a fair while now, watched a LOT of her videos
Once I found out who she was (thank you for sharing) I wanted to join her FB group as another means of support
However, as yet, haven’t been ‘accepted’ - I figure she was being being cautious so haven’t pushed it.
I have however, deleted patreon- only watched it a handful of times, and really only wanted to see Janet’s room lol

I got approved fairly quickly. I commented a couple of times on her Youtube (and have been a follower for a few years) and let her know my Youtube username so maybe that helped me get approved. I hate when I try to catch up on a thread like this and even after reading everything I'm clueless.  So can we talk about G&T? There is a distillery here owned by women and they produce this amazing gin called Sly Fox. The best way to drink it is with bitters and club soda. It tastes off with tonic (which used to be my favorite addition to gin until I found Sly Fox). I'm definitely a drinker of gin all year round. I tried a local gin while in Yellowstone -- Great Grey -- OMG -- it is so GOOD! The same bartender recommended The Botonist - but I didn't care for it as much. |

The new embellishment swap is Mending Fences. I am hoping that things will now calm down. I am happy to see so many new posters here though. The theme is mending fences? Yes, it’s nice to see some new names around here. I hope they stick around. Yes, the theme for the new swap is mending fences. If I remember correctly, the YT'r numbers of subscriptions went up about 200 since the "event." Glad to see the support. Whatever happened, there are two sides to the story and we probably won't hear both sides (understandably), so I am glad that the YT'r is gaining some support. |

I do know that women, in general, are always apologizing for things that may or may not be their fault. So who knows. It could have been a general comment about scrappers and Janet thought it was about her. I just don't know, so I am not one on side or the other, but I don't like the way the FB group went ballistic without knowing the facts. |

Janet was never mentioned by this YTer which you would have known had you followed this discussion. Nobody mentioned trash talking in this discussion either. And we, as 2PR members, have had plenty of threads discussing aspects of scrappy videos we don't like which you woud know as an alleged long-time lurker. If a scrapper feels like someone saying they don't like vocal fry, wavy hands and too much time spent talking about their personal lives vs creating when the camera is rolling is pointing them out, it's their issue, not the person listing their scrappy video pet peeves. Period. Don't start turning this into the YTer being a trash-talking mean girl who single Janet out (Janet was never even mentioned to begin with - she made it all about herself). |

The same bartender recommended The Botonist - but I didn't care for it as much. The Botanist! From Islay (made by Bruichladdich AKA the non-peaty Islay scotch distillery). It's a very Hebridean gin which is why it's a hit or miss. If you like Islay flavours from scotches made by Bruichladdich, Laphroaig, Ardbeg, Coal Ila and the likes, this is likely a gin that will appeal to you because 22 out of the 31 plants used in The Botanist are foraged directly from Islay and very characteristic to the Hebrides such as yellow bedstraw (usually considered a weed). This gin is very much humid forest meets floral. Not everyone's taste but I love it.  |

You know I've followed both the YouTuber and Rts for awhile and I think it's interesting that YT went right back to posting videos on her channel, like an innocent person would and the other has just went silent and let the comments and speculation on her last video just pile up. Instead she could have just went back to posting videos and this whole thing would have blown over. But the longer she stays away, the bigger the drama gets. Now don't get me wrong, I love a good drama, but I don't like the YT who I really like, could be hurt in the process. I've taught my kids that not everyone in this world is gonna like you. So really? A grown ss adult can't just move on? I'm not saying she was the victim but if she thought she was. Especially one who is so religious? What happened to turn the other cheek and all that blah blah blah? Funny how that works in practice..... |
