I have some flakes already. I put some in a iris photo holding container, this way I can almost put my whole card front in it and rub the flakes on it. Definitely contain your flakes. They go everywhere, especially with a fan and a/c on. Question: Do you think this is better than sprinkling the flakes onto your card? I am afraid I would accidentally place my card too quickly and create a "breeze" that would make the flakes fly out of the shallow container.

I really only put a little bit in there so they don't fly away too easy. The flakes are really packed in the original container. When you remove some its explodes.

Loved the TE cards! My first time at splattering and I made a mess. I know I will be using this set often. She just showed us the cards in red/green for the holidays. So pretty! I have to say, the silicone mat I got from Scrapbook.com is really coming in handy. Cleans up quickly and hasn't stained yet.

I love love love the TE stencil/stamp/die combo! I only got 2 cards done but I was ink blending away! And the other 4 cards are gonna get finished tonight. It doesn't show up very well in the pictures but I used silver and gold cardstock for the cake stands. Then I used a stylus and the stencil to give it a bit of dimension.

Ugh, that Cloud Whip stuff is a mess. I didn't like the fact that you have to mix it with water! I'm used to using something like that right out of the jar (think Lunar Paste). I had to throw my butterflies away, they were awful.

Oh I was dumb and put the lawn fawn glitter from our last C&CD on top....then hit it with a heat gun thinking it would be sticking to it and I was just heating the cloud whip. Um, no, the glitter blew everywhere! I'm probably going to trash that card too.

Um, no, the glitter blew everywhere! I'm probably going to trash that card too. Oh no! I had to laugh about the glitter everywhere LOL I tried using that same Lawn Fawn glitter in the shaker, and it didn't look good. I don't think the four layers of circle made the shaker deep enough. My sequins don't move. I also had a small cut on my thumb and was leaving red smudges everywhere. Definitely not my day for making scrapbook.com cards! How is everyone else doing?

I really like the pad of paper from scrapbook.com. I haven't finished the big circle card with the rub on yet.

So great to see everyone's cards and read your comments about today. I was in the office all day but was able to watch a bit here and there - I kept my comments simple, just "hello" at the beginning and "thanks" at the end. From the bits that I've seen, no one went crazy in the comments. I loved Taylored Expressions' class, I'm so happy I discovered how great her products are through C&CD. It's also quite helpful having you ladies do the cards first - now I know what to be careful of, like the Cloud Whip and glitter! I appreciate it

I haven't finished any cards but didn't expect to. But I'm happy with what I did learn-- glue with a dry ink pad, cloud whip, etc. And I really like the neverending card! I made 2 of the base card to make sure I know how and will add sentiments/ embellishments later.
I learned with the scrapbook events to ignore the chat as it's too distracting. Lol

Because dh is unmedicated adhd it’s taken me almost 3 1/2 hours to watch Sara’s crafters companion class. I think her cards are pretty and doable. Not sure about the flakes, they look like they could be a mess! I can see them flying all over the place and getting in my dogs coat. He shares my craft room with me I can see doing the silver butterfly with silver embossing powder just to be less mess.

Because dh is unmedicated adhd i Lol so am I. I can really get that ADHD hyper-focus going and have 3 or more hours go by without even stopping to take a sip of my drink, and then other times I just can't get started and try to do a million things at once, without success. We can be very distracting people, my husband sympathizes with you. It was free with my last purchase from them! I bought the Spellbinders Advent calendar and got the mat free. Now that's a freebie I can appreciate! Good score! And I really like the neverending card I'm obsessed with this card! I can't wait to make it. Watching Laura Graff flip it over and over and over - I totally see myself being unable to put it down, I can't wait.

We’ve been married for 26 yrs, so I guess we’re doing ok with it My family does not understand at all which of course makes me try harder! I’m looking forward to retiring next year, a couple years before he does. Hopefully that will help us both transition easier!

Love the the LDRS humming birds and sentiments. Not the best lighting since it's late here but these are my cards. I messed up the stenciling on the gold heat embossed image so I need to make another rose to add to the top of the card. I'm too exhausted to do it tonight.

Beautiful, pinklady ! I didn’t do the last class, just getting ready for tomorrow’s classes. I love the line up for tomorrow! This event seems so stress-free compared to previous events. I’m really enjoying some much needed downtime with these classes!

Thank you! I try really hard to understand and work around it or with it. We’ve been married for 26 yrs, so I guess we’re doing ok with it My family does not understand at all which of course makes me try harder! The worst part is my constant running commentary - out loud! I annoy myself with it, so I know how annoying it is for my dh. He has dyslexia so he has his own challenges, but they're much quieter and don't affect me like how mine affect him, haha. And our son inherited both - now that's a challenge! This event seems so stress-free compared to previous events. I’m really enjoying some much needed downtime with these classes! The vibe is so much more relaxed, I agree, it's been great.

I think I need a foiling machine! Those snowflakes cards are stunning. I have a Royal Sovereign laminator I bought from Amazon and while I got results, they were not great. I bought a Minc and the results are AMAZING! I highly recommend not wasting time with a laminator and getting a Minc to start with. I'm not really making the cards for this class but I'm watching because I wanted to see how to use all the products in the kit. I busted out my Minc and foiled the papers. WOW! I also started foiling some of the TE Foil It products I purchased a few weeks ago. Oh man I'm they look so goo! I also need to place another order for the cake Foil Its from yesterday!

She has the Mini Minc on sale with the coupon for $84.15. Is that a good price? Comes with a few foils and a September pup free stamp set.

Love seeing what you made with the event! I skipped this one, but my Mom is participating, mostly watching and taking notes.
Just a quick story of how great SCT and Catherine are... Mom and I did a couple of the events together in the past, I would sign us up and get all squared away. I am not enough of a cardmaker to justify the expense this time around, I was surprised when my Mom said she signed up for it herself. She's pretty good with technology for 76, but not the best, and she's been pre-occupied taking care of my Dad thru some medical stuff this summer. We were talking a couple weeks ago and I said did you get your box notice yet? And she's like you know I'm not sure if I did all the payments, she thought she did the one time pay but I guess she didn't. I told her you better get on that - so she sent an email. Catherine called her directly and got her situated with payments and she got her box last week.
Really no surprise a woman-owned business is so organized and coordinating all that product!
But yes, I really still do love these events and glad they are continuing...and yes Taylored Expressions has the best products!
Look forward to seeing more of your cards... have fun!

Who’s “she” and what coupon??? 😁 After watching Taylor show her bonus cards yesterday, and now looking at Michelle’s class I’m taking the plunge! Hubby is buying it for me for a b’day/anniversary gift. I was originally going to be gifted more ink storage, but who needs more storage when you can have cool toys instead? I’ve only got 4 extra inks right now anyway! Done enough exercise this morning that I’m ready to do some sitting at my craft table. I’ll be trying Kelly’s class today.
