I watched a lot and participated in Saturday's classes live...but it was a lot. I love the fact that I can go back and do the classes at my leisure.....in fact I still have march classes to do!

Shakti , I'm not sure when the PinkFresh/Pretty Pink Posh event is. I loved Cathy Z's class this morning, got all three cards done. Left the banner sentiment off the third card because I don't know what I want it to say. LOL I'm now sitting out the Altenew class and preparing for the Hero Arts class. And watching football... LOL I love these...I always love Cathy Zs classes

Wow! Thanks so much for sharing your cards. They are all lovely. The C&9 are super cute. I love the HA ones too.
Interesting news on the changes. I can see why. I guess we will see what is going on next year with all of the options.

I’m glad they’re scaling back the events. They got so big and it shows. I can understand that it’s not sustainable! Especially without limiting numbers like they have been doing. The scrapping ones seem like they’re smaller, although with the supply issues, it still creates a headache no matter what. I wish they’d still do two of those because so many other companies ARE NOT doing them like the card ones are, but I still get it from a planning and time perspective. I also feel like the card events overshadow the scrapping ones being right after, so maybe now the scrapping ones won’t feel like we’re the ugly step children 😂 The scrapping events were the originals that I first signed up for in 2021, but although I enjoyed the box and the product and even the classes, I never used the pages after I made them! 3 events, pages all made (even the small extra kits), 4 pages actually used and they were just "fluff" pages because I had some photos that matched the topic/theme. Predetermined product and the theme or subject pages never work well for me. And other than VB's classes, I didn't feel like I was learning anything new for the price or time/effort I put forth. That said I enjoyed papercrafting events, but not enough for the cost, IYKWIM. So I went to the dark side. This was my fifth card event. All cards were made, even if not during the actual event, and I learned some new stuff along the way. Which is saying a lot, because I have been paper crafting and stamping since the late 90s. The card industry people also seems to have closer relationships between both the companies and the makers, which I also appreciate and adds to the fun. The card event feels much different to me than the scrapbooking event, which is not bad, just different. On top of it, most of the product from the card making event is reusable, again and again, making it feel like a better value. I think others may feel that way and that is why the card events have grown past the scrapbooking events. I am going to try the smaller SCT events and I'll see how they feel. I initially thought I might add in the papercrafting event again, but after some deep thinking, even through I am tempted, I feel it would be a waste for me. But, who knows... since I am a craft junky, it is possible I'll change my mind again. lol

I had to work on Thursday. So, I only managed to do the last class live on Thursday. Did all of Friday's live. I goofed on Pink & Main and need to redo one of the cards. Lives all day on Saturday (with a friend) and all but the last Altenew card and Hero Arts on Sunday (also with a friend). My in-laws celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary so I took a break to join the family for a luncheon during Hero Arts. Love the classes. My friend who does these with me and I had already decided we were going to cut back to once a year. We were planning for spring as we both prefer the brighter/springier colors and less fall/holiday. So, we are ok with the change to once a year. We also scrapbook at a few retreats each year and it gets to be a lot. With two CCD events a year we just didn't have enough time to use the products outside of class. We will both be signing up for the fall event. We wanted to do the one day event in February but we have a four day crop the following weekend so we decided to skip it. Of course we could sign up and do it together at the crop...something to think about.
As far as participating in other companies, I haven't found any that I really want to do. I think SCT has spoiled me with the CCD events. I looked at one of Altenew's events and it was $300+ for one day. I couldn't bring myself to do it. I like the variety and value of the CCD events. I want to look into the PinkFresh/Pretty Pink Posh event. I may sign up for it if it works with my schedule.

But, who knows... since I am a craft junky, it is possible I'll change my mind again. lol I agree with your comparison of the card making and papercrafting events, but ironically enough, for me it drove me in the opposite direction. Although I was doing scrapbooking, and had been for about 15 years, I was reaching my retirement after 40 years of teaching, looking for new things to do, and decided to try a Stamp Joy event, which was card making. I loved it! And I knew that when I retired I was going into a couple of years of moving from Florida to North Carolina and building a new home along the way. My scrapping stuff would be packed away for a while, and card making seemed like it would take up less room. So, I was off and I got hooked! I discovered SCT and their virtual events and I’ve done 6 card making ones now. Last year I did the holiday event and was amazed at how much I loved the layouts. I even went back and did the holiday layouts from the year before that I hadn’t completed. As winter turned into last spring I did a major purge, organization and cataloging of my stuff and realized I really didn’t need any more card making items. I was very well stocked! I got myself on the waiting list for the spring papercrafting event, got in, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I ended up signed up for all 5 virtual events this year and had already come to the conclusion that next year would be spring papercrafting and fall holiday and that was enough. And that was before Catherine’s big announcement. I appreciate your point about not using the pages and/or forcing pictures to fit. However my stash of usable pics includes years of teaching elementary school, leaving my home of 47 years, building a new home, lots of mountain, seasons and snow pictures, exploring a new home town, and lots of new places to travel. I think I’ve got enough to work with there! I’m also looking forward to a smaller event. I think the card making one hit maximum mass this go round!

I do NOT premake the pages without photos. So if that didn’t work for you, I’ll share what does work for me with the scrapping events.
When I get the box, I immediately start matching photos for each layout. All the photo sizes are listed, so that helps. I edit and print them to size so that I can scrap them as I go when the teacher is teaching the class. Often times I don’t have the same number or orientation of photos. I can do a quick sketch of how to alter the LO a bit to work better for my pictures (like I might use 2 3x4 photos instead of a 6x4). I make notes of those changes in the booklet or a post it. This also allows me to change or customize a title, add in my journaling where a photo may have gone on the sample, use embellishments from the collection that suits my photos a little better, stuff like that. I’m always pleased with how they come out!
If I have a class that I don’t have pictures that work or I don’t have time to look for them, I make as much of the layout as I can during class. But I don’t cut and I leave off the mats, embellishments, etc. That way I can still customize the layout to work once I do have photos.
By approaching the classes this way, I have very few classes that are not completed and in my albums. I think I’ve done all the scrapping Crop & Create events so far and I’ll keep doing them as long as they offer them. I love their teachers and appreciate a well-designed layout that I didn’t have to design 😂

Will the February event products all be SCT brand? Yes, I believe so. I'm not sure who took the July class but maybe they can chime in.

I thought they might have mentioned it when they made the accouncement during this event. It's a good price point and it sounds like the length perfectly matches my typical stamina....

Not sure if they said what brand the February events will be. But I did partipate in their July event. That was $65, which was all SCT branded, included a stamp set, a background die, die set that went with the stamp set, a stencil set, a pack of embellishments, and white cardstock. Everything came in one of those zippered pouches from Amazon.
Overall, there were 3 live classes which only used the products and we made 9 cards. I liked it and thought it was a good value.

Three - four classes and eight or nine cards is about my limit in a day and I really liked the SCT products that were in last spring's C&CD kit, so I'm seriously considering this one!

I didn't sign up for this fall's events and really regret it, now. I thought I'd have 2 per year forever, so I decided to do the holiday one instead. I'm on the waiting list for the scrapbooking event now, but I think that ship has sailed and I doubt I'll get in. I'm so sad. I'll just have to live vicariously through those on here that are doing it.

That kit looks familiar...did they actually reveal it during registration so you didn't have to go in on blind faith?

I couldn't find a separate thread for the February event. There's a sneak up and I can't say as I'm finding it all that enticing. Three hours-ish to decide, and I'll be asleep for most of them, so it's now or never time for me....
EtA: No one rushed in to enable me, so I let it go. I'm at peace with this decision (looked at the peeks again a minutes ago), but I think I will be joining you all next fall.

YOU GUYS!
So, I implied in a post on 10/9 that I was hoping for sneaks before registering.
I posted on 10/31 that I'd finally seen sneaks and was uninspired.
Apparently I registered on 10/13. I suspect drinking and surfing...although CARDtober kind of kicked my butt, so it might have been just exhaustion.
Anybody else registered for Celebrations Delivered?

I am registered and I am disappointed to have to admit the sneaks do not excite me. Too pink/pastel and I am at the age where I don’t have people in my life having babies or moving into new homes. It’s only the first sneak peek; I am hoping it gets better. I don’t know if it’s just me, but the classes offered by individual companies are not what I hoped. I usually love C9, but their spring class is a miss for me, as well as and Britus Monroe offerings. The Pinkfresh spring event looks promising, but overall I am not feeling these events fill the SCT C&C spring event hole.

I didn't sign up either. Didn't they put out a sneak peek of the stamp set. Maybe a catch all celebration set?? Not just birthdays? Or am I thinking of something else. I do like the instructors, but just coming off the 16 card C&C weekend I decided to pass.

I feel like there were cards described (Meghann's cupcake card?) that I never saw posted. If any of you all who attended have cards unshared that you're willing to post, I'd love to see them. Trying to decide what to do about the event this September.
