grammadee glad the graduation album was a big hit! She looks happy looking it over. kitbop sorry about your aunt ☹️ Hugs to you and your family nylene we leave our pup Arthur with my parents whenever we go on a trip, they love watching him and they have a dog too so the two dogs have a nice time. The only downside for us is they live 5 hours away from us. But it’s worth it to know he’s in good hands plus we get to visit with them too. So we drove to their house to drop off Arthur and spend time with my parents and brother, before flying to the east coast where my husbands family is. We are here on the east coast for a week. The weather is actually nice this week and we had a family bbq. Everyone got to see the bump in person and make predictions on gender 🥰 congrats on little Gracee, what a cutie pie!

Happy birthday, kellyr21! hope you had a wonderful day. Congrats on the arrival of another GREAT, nylene! Swayzee looks a little overwhelmed, but I am sure she will be a wonderful big sister! scrappyrabbit, I hope you have a wonderful visit with your dh's family. Dd's family often leave their pets here when they will be away. Dh loves dogs and their oldest dog LOVES Grampa. I am home with photos printed from a busy weekend. Besides the grad events, two of the boys had hockey and baseball. Yesterday at his brother's hockey camp, the ten year old asked if he could use my camera. He has taken some shots before so after making him promise to wear the neck strap and showing him a couple of things he could adjust and which buttons to LEAVE ALONE, he was off on a photographer's adventure. He took photos from all over the facility, got shots of the score board at several intervals, and lots of action shots of the kids on the ice from his chosen base of the penalty box! The camp officials even let him step onto the ice to take photos between whistles. I managed to get him to stand still so I could take a pic of him and camera with my phone, and really looking forward to scrapping that with a selection of his 200+ photos. When you give a kid a camera...

Happy Tuesday! (I almost said Monday) LOL! Thank you for the birthday well wishes. I did have a nice day. We went to the tennis courts and did our thing. Then we got Japanese dinner take out. Tonight will be our last sketch class until July. I hope our teacher gets a nice restful vacation. We did a sketch of a doggy last week that I will share with you all. Mine turned out so cute especially after I colored it. Also, working on those layouts. grammadee- Sounds like you trained him well and have lots of pictures to enjoy.

Here are two of the layouts I finished. First is for grammadee NSD challenge #1. I struggled Grammadee but I finally got the sunray to look like a sunray. LOL! Thanks for inspiring us with this design. Love it! The second lo is one from my Paige Evans class. It was a lot of hand cutting to make the hearts and fringe but it looks so cute. She did more hearts on hers but I was not up to making any more. NSD #1 Challenge by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr Hearts by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr

kellyr21 - those layered/frilled hearts have my I must try that! Both your layouts are so very pretty. The way you arranged the rays to come out of the church motto is so smart! grammadee - welcome home! I love hearing about kids taking up hobbies like photography and scrapbooking - your GS's seem to be taking up the mantle beautifully! nylene - awwwww, what a sweet babe! Gracee is a great name, obviously chosen to pair well with Swayzee. Swayzee looks so big next to her. Congratulations! scrappyrabbit - Our best pet sitters would be a 5 hour drive from us too. Unfortunately, they are often coming with us on vacation/camping... I have many dog loving people who would happily take our dogs (especially the puppy. I've had lots of offers for the summer for Poppy! The don't know what they are getting in to f). It's actually the cats who are an issue. They can be alone for a few days easily, but they don't like it - they are grumpy when we get home. But asking anyone to change cat litter is I'm feeling super "jangled" and stressed right now. Too much has happened in the past year that I'm always on edge. And then when we hit a crunch week I start to feel constantly panicked. Keeping it together so far. Prioritizing is hard. After work;, my choices are: drive 3 hours to spend an hour holding my aunt's hand, or practice "self care" and go to the gym and plant my garden (DH fixed the raised beds and DS dug in fresh dirt/peat/manure). The 2nd is a far better choice for my mental health, but my aunt is on her last days...

(((((HUGS))))), kitbop. Hang in there. Hope you took some time for self care, although I know that your mind was never far away from your loved one. There is love in the Gallery for your card, nylene and your pages, kellyr21. Safe travels home, scrappyrabbit. Tomorrow being the first of June, today dh and I plan to set out the veggie bedding plants. If I still have energy afterward, and if dh has had a chance to prepare the seeding area, I hope to seed the cukes, pumpkins, zucchini, and beans. These are all done by hand rather than the seeder, so this has always been my job. If I don't get those seeds in today, they will go into the ground sometime before the end of this upcoming weekend. Once everything is planted, if we don't get rain we will need to set up the sprinklers to deliver some moisture to the garden; it has been incredibly dry all spring.

kellyr21, your pages are both lovely. You have such a great eye for color and design. I left you love in the gallery. grammadee, I hope your gardening goes well today and that you get some moisture soon. We have had storms with lots of lightning but little rain. We have had to turn on the sprinklers. I hope the see you tomorrow online. kitbop, Hugs to you as you travel back and forth. My heart hurts for you. For what it's worth, when we tend the neighbor's cats for an extended period, we change the litter for them. They just ask that we do it once a week and that's not a problem. We don't mind. I hope you can find someone to do that for you while you are gone. Please take some time for yourself to decompress. Digging in the dirt is good therapy. Linda, what projects are you working on right now? I know you always have some project in the works besides scrapping. How warm is it in your area. We have enjoyed a couple of very nice days, with clouding and a bit of rain in the evenings. It hasn't become hot yet. How is your gardenia doing? scrappyrabbit, I hope you have a safe trip and enjoy the visit with your family. shinyhappytina, I hope you are still recuperating and that you can take it easy. You have such a stressful job and a wedding coming soon. Take some time to relax. Anj and family are coming in 3 weeks and I am trying to decide what to do about Cousin Camp. We may not have a time that all can get together. I have been working to clear things out of the guest room in the basement. How does it fill up with stuff when no one is down there? It becomes a "collect-all". I am doing some deep dives and purging lots of things in the storage room so storage doesn't have to go in that room. Fifty years of accumulation is over-whelming. I will start a new June thread later tonight or tomorrow morning. Can it really be June already?

Happy Wednesday! Waving hi to you all especially kitbop! Hugs and prayers are sent your way. It is cool and gloomy here today and I gotta perk up! I enjoyed my sketch class last night. This month we were doing caricatures. I like how I am stretching my drawing skills with styles I would of never tried. Thanks for the cheers on my layouts. I may continue on a few more from Paige's class. grammadee- Your garden sounds like it is ready to get started. I would love to plant something but for now I have to settle for fresh flowers from the store. I do love them. I have a big bouquet now from Ron for my birthday. nylene- I glad you will get to see Angi and family. Take it easy with that cleaning. If I have a magical wand, I would waving it over your guest room to be instantly cleaned! LOL!

((((Hugs))) kitbopgrammadee - good luck with the planting and seeding nylene - hopefully you can figure out a cousin camp solution. Good luck with the clear-out - it's amazing how stuff seems to multiply sometimes no projects really - I'm fighting with blood sugar numbers that keep going low overnight and my sleep is suffering. I think my dr will be changing up my meds next week after my appt and that will hopefully help
