Linda, brrrr, that canoeing trip sounds cold. I'm glad she will be warmly dressed! She must love it. I would consider that punishment if I had to canoe in the cold. LOL joyfulnana and gramma, we missed you last night. Hope we can all chat soon. kitbop, thanks for the PT advice last night. I don't go back until Tues so that gives me time to decide how to approach the lack of mobility with the therapist and I should have MRI results by then. Thanks, too, for starting the crop last night. It was a fun evening. AussieMeg, so glad to meet you last night! I have looked forward to it and I loved hearing your accent. Thanks for joining in. I plan to make a bunch of birthday cards after I get the house chores done. Planning on a quiet day.

nylene - she had a wonderful time and saw so many manatees! And she took photos. I also got photos from DS - rescue penguins mostly. A quiet day for you sounds just the ticket! Rest that shoulder! gramma - good seeing you last night! joyfulnana - I hope you got a good night's sleep after that rough day I've gotten caught up on housework-ish and done the grocery shop. I need to do a virtual PT session and then I think I might try and finish up my Atlanta trip album - only two layouts to go...Anyone opening a crop tonight or tomorrow?

It was so lovely to meet you too nylene ! kitbop I have to ask...... does Katie like photography? Because in my dream last night she did. Somehow she lost a DSLR lens, and she was on the phone to my DD, and DD asked me if I had a spare lens that I could lend Katie. At first I was like "No, I don't really want to lend my lens to anyone." Then I thought "Well, I don't use my DSLR anymore, so I can lend her the lens." Next thing I know, I'm packing up my 50mm lens, my 18-55mm lens, and my favourite 16-300mm lens into a box to send, then I think what the hell, why don't I just throw in the whole camera as well! (The dream then took a bit of a thriller-movie turn, where you and your husband went missing and we had to save Katie from the bad guys, a'la the episode of Vigil I watched last night..... but I won't go into that! ) So weird what my brain does when I'm asleep.

.Anyone opening a crop tonight or tomorrow? What time would work for you tomorrow? I definitely want to work on my album. The only thing on my schedule is looking at houses from 2-3. AussieMeg - OMG that made me Katie isn't pro- or con- photography. She certainly appreciates having photos, and encourages me to take them, but doesn't do "true" (aka DSLR) photography. I too have a 50mm lens and an 18-55 lens. BUT...my 18-200 lens is broken so if you want to box up your 16-300 and ship it to ME you are more than welcome. Nikon I hope.

What time would work for you tomorrow? I'm pretty open tomorrow so whatever works best for you - hoping to make some progress catching up DD17's Girl Scout album...photos are printed through the end of the year. AussieMeg - your dream made me laugh as well. Too funny!

I'm settling in at my scrap table to work on the Girl Scout album so if anyone decides to start a crop...let me know... Happy Sunday and wishing you all are having a restful day Happy Sunday! DH took me out to brunch at Ihop today and then we went back out to drop off recycling (no kerbside here - we bring some to the fire station and some to the grocery store) and pick up a photo order. Scrapping now...

I'm so sorry I didn't check the boards Linda - after househunting, DD wanted to make some Christmas exchanges and then we had a bite of supper out as well. I headed straight to scrapping at 7 when I got home, figuring I was too late to open a crop The house we saw (one that we had booked to see already sold? Even though they said they were "taking offers" on Jan. 17? I don't understand the real estate game at all) was good but not great. We're going to sit on it for a while. My agent/friend says that lots of houses will come on the market in February after the interest rates get announced this month.

kitbop - no worries. I've been scrapping also. I'm sorry that the one house was already sold and the other wasn't the one. Hopefully February brings some great options. FWIW we started looking in March 2020 and didn't close until late December 2020 - this was the third house we had put an offer in on and it's the perfect house for us so sometimes it just takes time and patience (which is hard when you just want to find the right place now). (((Hugs))) Tomorrow is a day off school/work here - anyone want to try cropping either during the day or in the evening. I don't know how to open a crop but I'm happy to join if someone else wants to. I'll be scrapping at some point either way.

Hi Pokeys! Unfortunately, I'm not off any holidays except the major ones or I would totally have scrapped. But I'm out for this Friday. I'll have DGS sleeping over while Dad plays a show. kellyr21 it's crazy cold here still! I was so torn over who to root for between the Rams and Lions, such a great story! I remember how happy I was when Stafford was traded and had a chance at playing on a winning team. I'm leery of the Chiefs playing a good team on the road, and this city will just die if we go out in the second round lol. It sounds like I missed quite a crowd Friday! How exciting that you are house hunting kitbop! I hope you find your perfect house soon. grammadee I'm glad you were able to cancel those nights, but I'm sorry you didn't stay for the entire tournament. Your card is so cute and happy! gramma, I'm not sure who to root for against the 49ers jk. But I did call that upset in Dallas. To the TV, all week, every time I heard some talking head mention the winning streak of home games, I knew it was going to get broken lol.

I didn't end up getting any scrapping done today -Dh took me out to lunch and then I picked up 160+ photographs this morning and have labelled them all and sorted by layout so pre-scrapping? Tomorrow I'll be back to the Girl Scout album - I think a couple more days should have it caught up. Sorry about the football joyfulnana and gramma - when is the super bowl this year?

Good Tuesday morning, Pokeys. How is your week going? nylene, how is your shoulder doing? Any results yet from the MRI? AussieMeg, you have the weirdest dreams! Can't believe you remembered specifics like the camera brand! What are you up to this week, kellyr21? I have been scrapping most days, but didn't finish anything today: just stuffed a few pic's and items into a ziplock and did a bit of inking for a background. Hoping to finish a couple of LO's tomorrow morning. Sorry, Linda, but I don't think I will be able to host a crop tomorrow, though. I think dh's appointments have changed. And I need to figure out how to log in to Google on my new iPad. Which means I have to remember a fake email address I used for that account. When I use my Telus email, Meet tells me I can "join but not host". I will have to play with it a bit and run a test connection with dd or justjac before I host again. joyfulnana and kitbop, stay warm now that we have sent those crazy cold temps east. The temps are moderating here this week, so back to winter "normal". No more fighting with our outside dog to put her into a kennel in the garage overnight. She absolutely HATES it! She was born in an unheated open shed in February and as far as she is concerned, heated buildings are for sissies. She prefers scooping up snow to hydrate rather than drinking water from a bowl. I am heading into town for groceries soon, and to put dgs's bd gift in the mail. TTY later!

grammadee - no worries. Technology is useful but not always convenient. At some point I should probably ask one of the kids to walk me through how to host.

Happy Birthday to justjac today!grammadee , I got preliminary results on my MRI. My Dr. sent a note saying there is lots going on in that shoulder, so no wonder it hurts. Will get me in to an orthopedic surgeon. It has become worse with the PT. Sunday I was tucking my blouse into my skirt on the back left side and I had my thumb under the elastic. The arm was stuck and hurt like heck to pull it out. I go in tomorrow to get the complete results. Linda , I won't be available to scrap tomorrow morning either. After the Dr. appt I have a funeral. I was able to post a link one time but had to have gramma walk me through it by phone. I guess I should try to learn again. I did some scrapping last night and will post the pages here when I get them scanned. We had Card Club this morning and made framed plaques with dried flowers that one of our members pressed. It was a different project from our usual card making, but was fun. joyfulnana and gramma , sorry your teams are not behaving as you would like. How could anyone play in the cold?

nylene So sorry about the shoulder. Of all the things Ken went through he said the shoulder surgery bothered him the most. And "my team" did fine over the weekend. Propped up in their warm living rooms watching of the big screen I imagine. But - I felt really bad for the teams that had to play in such awful conditions.

gramma, of all of DH's surgeries, the shoulders were the worst too. I am hoping it can all be cleaned out arthroscopically. I've stopped using the Big Shot and am trying to stop falling down!

Thanks for the birthday greetings everyone. I had work as usual. DH had to work out of town so after work, my friend and I went for pedicures and supper out. I have never had a pedicure in the winter before and didn't realize it meant sitting at the spa for an hour for the polish to dry (and having supper at 8:30) or buying flip flops and going outside in winter in said flip flops. We looked pretty ridiculous going into the restaurant in our newly purchased flip flops. Still it was a very nice day.

Your painting is fabulous, kellyr21 . Love the birdies, but you really nailed the snow! Guess it was a little warmer than last week for going out in flip flops, justjac , but brrrrr... Nothing much going on around here. I scrapped a little this morning. Dd & dgs came for a quick supper and loaded up all our bottles and milk jugs to take in to his school's bottle drive. I am slowly taking down the holiday decor. Saturday they plan to come here, take down the tree, lug everything downstairs and stow it away. Another week of scrapping Christmas and I should be able to do the same thing with my holiday scrapping supplies. Today dd brought me my Doodlebug order, kitbop, and I will need to restrain myself not to use that stuff immediately! (I had ordered it to use for cards next year). I figured out my login info for Google Meet, I think. So should be able to set up a crop next Wednesday morning. Still need to test to see if it will let me host.
