Hi Pokeys, man this thread is moving fast! nylene I'm sorry to hear about DH's brother, hugs to you both. Linda I love your pages! I especially like the Dusty grid page, and the selfie of you! grammadee your game night page is so fun! It definitely has an action and lots of fun vibe! I love the corners. And the snow! Wow, so pretty and it sounds like you are having the same weather whiplash we are lol. gramma I have only redone one page that I can think of. I didn't put it in the shredder but the pictures were taken off and the rest of that was TRASHED LOL. Your little chef is so cute! And who cares if it was a straight up scraplift, it's cute and done justjac I really love seeing the things you document. It's been so hectic this week, and I'm realizing that the way our open hours are set up, the calls are all going to be compressed into what feels like a short day and it could get crazy later in the year lol. I'm going to drive up and see mom this weekend, and then took a few days off next week. I really want to spend a lot of that time scrapping. kitbop were you going to open a crop tomorrow? (eek, later this evening lol for the link)

Bad week here - neck problem flared up - way up - when I was sick last weekend. Poppy is at the emergency vet clinic (you can imagine that bill) after she spent a night pooping and vomiting blood. She's OK we think and fingers crossed she comes home today. Haven't even had a chance to look at "Dominique" kellyr21 and I'm having FOMO Soooooooo I really want to crop tonight. joyfulnana, will you be coming in about 7:30 EST under Claudia's account, to keep it open if I have to bow out early? My neck often won't sit for long sessions.

Hey kitbop , I have not tried logging into Claudia's account since I got a new computer, I wasn't sure it would still let me in. I'll try logging in tonight under that account so you can approve me. If we can get me in, yes, of course I'll stay in case you need to leave! I hope your neck is feeling better and that Poppy is going to be ok, what a night! What time were you going to start? I'll jump on then to save my seat 🙂 I can’t find the login lol. If you can PM it to me I’ll try to get in. It’s on scrap of paper I can never find when I want it lol

joyfulnana Google should still let you in. I think. It doesn't know if your computer is new. The user name and password - 2PEASCROPS@GMAIL.COM - L3TMEIN! kitbop I'm sorry to hear you neck is giving you trouble. What happened to Poppy? Linda I love the layout of you - just you. And I have that exact same paper - are we hoarders? nylene If you had a movie of me destroying that layout it would have had to be a silent movie ;-) ! grammadee See - cleaning up is over rated! I saw this little saying that made me chuckle - "I dusted once. It came back. I'm not falling for that again!"

He is pumped cuz this is division playdowns. Games tonight, tomorrow and maybe Sunday. Two hours from home so we are staying in a hotel.

And I have that exact same paper - are we hoarders? hoarders? not us? I saw this little saying that made me chuckle - "I dusted once. It came back. I'm not falling for that again!" I feel that quote so much I plan on jumping on the crop tonight - not sure how early as it depend on when DD and DH get home and we can all eat.

Those are fabulous Linda. I especially like the last one with the greys and teal to set the tale of manatee. I spent the night with Katie in the er. She shut her hand in her car door, tore it up pretty good and crushed the pointer finger nail right out of the nail bed. Dr.. google informed me that they have to reset the nail or you’ll never have a nail again. Google was right. We got home at 6:30am. Misery prevailed on many levels: my neck in er chairs, exhaustion, pain and severe needle phobia. I’m just glad my 20 year old cried to have me go with her (her bf came too but I was the chosen emotional support animal 🤗

Happy Saturday! I hope you all are having a nice day. I watched some of the ScrapFest and the Card Maker Success Summit yesterday and today. Lots of inspiration. Thank you for the art compliments gramma AussieMeg and nylene ! linda - You look lovely in your layout. : : Also, your family history is so cool! Wow, look how far back you were able to go. I was into genealogy some years ago and it was interesting learning the names and stories of my ancestors. I might circle back to it one day to see if some the dead ends have new resources available. Great job! AussieMeg - I hope your weather cools off soon. We had a hot Fall if I remember correctly. But I know it must be beautiful there. nylene & grammadee - I hope you got your spaces cleaned the way you wanted. Take it easy gals! kitbop- So worries! Take care of yourself and Miss Poppy! Sending hugs and prayers to you all!

AussieMeg - I hope your weather cools off soon. I don't! I love the heat and I love summer, and once this hot autumn weather cools down, I will start to feel melancholy. And when daylight savings ends in April, I will be really sad. Then the long countdown to next summer begins! (Not that I'm wishing my life away.) We went to the beach at 8am this morning. It was awesome!

Happy Sunday! I'm off to see mom today and take her to Walmart to get some photos printed and lunch. DS2 was going to tag along but he picked up an extra shift at work. Rudy is getting to that age where it's a big deal to be almost as tall as an adult (he's not very tall, and he'll likely never hit 6ft) Mom at the "height" lol of her height was 4'11". When Rudy heard that and that I was driving up today he wanted to come too. So he can compare his height to her LOL. It will be a fun day with him. I hope LOL! I have a one pager and two pager waiting for titles and embellishments and I'm feeling accomplished lol. Linda I keep thinking about that Pink Fresh box, just for the embellishments, and I hope they sell out soon, I don't need one. I don't need one. I don't need one lol. kitbop poor Kaite! I hope she's feeling a little better and that they saved the nail. I can't imagine how painful that must be. Just shutting your hand in the car door would be bad enough. AussieMeg you can keep that hot weather then! I don't like it when it's our turn here. I much prefer Autumn and even winter to a hot summer LOL.

Linda , I love your pages. The genealogy pages are always so interesting to me. What a blessing that those people in the early 1500 and 1600's kept good records. You have a great way of documenting your info. I love the embellishments on your last double page! The photo and page of you is beautiful. I love that paper too. Great job on the river and the manatees. I'm glad you had that QK manatee die. You have your money's worth from it. I hope your kids are appreciative of all your work. They must be or they wouldn't give or send you so many photos. What wonderful books they have to look back on. kellyr21, I love seeing your avatar pop up. I remember when you were working on family genealogy. You could probably find some more info on those stuck lines now. Several years ago a historical group owning a lot of genealogy of Black people released many vital records to be digitized. I was fortunate enough to index some of those and they were so interesting. I loved doing them. It's so much easier now to find family lines when you can do a computer search, rather than microfilm or old heavy books. I am currently doing some vital records for Zimbabwe and some US business directories from the early 1900's. It becomes addictive! AussieMeg , I am jealous of your weather. We are heading for Southern Utah this weekend and hope it will be 10 degrees warmer than here. We have had a couple of high 40's, but haven't hit 50 yet. Hope you had a great time at the beach. kitbop , I'm so sorry about Katie's finger. I hope it grows back nicely. Em's Dr. assured her that if he removed it, it would grow back. I was skeptical, but it did and you can't tell any difference now. She was miserable for a long time though if that finger got touched or bumped. Hugs to Katie as she is healing. I think Em said it grew 1/4 inch each month. I'm so glad you were there for her. joyfulnana , I hope you have a great time at your mom's. I giggled about Rudy wanting to compare his height to hers. Cute boy! They grow up so fast. It was fun chatting on the online crop Friday evening. Thanks so much to those who can start them and to gramma for having the google meet acct that lets us stay longer than an hour. It is very appreciated! Today I tried to open a can of pineapple while making lunch. I have been having trouble with my old can opener (wedding gift over 56 years ago) but today it refused to cut. I had another handheld in the drawer and even with both of us working, we couldn't get the thing to work. So Steve grabbed an old pop bottle opener (with the opposite pointy end) and made little triangle cuts all around the edge. By this time we were both laughing about having a houseful of food and no way to open it. It took all his strength to get that can opened enough to remove the pineapple. Tomorrow we are going to Walmart to get a new electric can opener and a handheld that he can use. They just don't make those for lefties! What an adventure for lunch!

Ouch kitbop , poor Katie! My hands went all tingly just reading about it! My DD lost a toenail when she was doing surf lifesaving - they were out in the IRB and hit a big wave, and her foot smashed into the side of the boat. The idiot that she was out in the IRB with tore the nail right off! WHY?! The doctor at the hospital said that he shouldn't have done that, because they prefer to keep the nail on as long as possible to help protect the nail bed. My DD was also in tears when I got to the ER, but not because of the pain or the needles - she was worried she'd never be able to wear sandals again hahaha! (That was about 8 years ago, and I am happy to say that her toenail did in fact grow back.) I hope Katie isn't in too much pain as she heals. And I hope your neck is better. You know what you need? A good physiotherapist!

Good Sunday evening, Pokeys. I am home from dgs's hockey tournament, which they won! This means that this upcoming weekend they will be hosts AND the division rep in their league finals. They won three out of four games, all of them nail biters. And he got tons of ice time, playing his regular rotation, plus on both the penalty killing and the power play special teams. Ouch, kitbop to both you and your dd. Hope her hand is healing and you have some relief for your neck pain. My dd has an unexplained sore shoulder tonight: she thinks it may have been from sleeping on it wrong in the hotel bed. I like warm weather, AussieMeg, but those kind of temps are too high for me. Our cold snap was short lived here, as is often the case in spring. We had temps well above freezing today, so lots of snow is melting. joyfulnana, I hope you had a wonderful shopping trip today with your mom and Rudy. So funny about the height thing: my grandkids always crowed when they could see themselves catching up to--and passing--my [towering] 5'2" height. Linda I promise I will take some time this week to look at all your pages more closely. Okay, off to bed with me...

Tomorrow we are going to Walmart to get a new electric can opener and a handheld that he can use. they just don't make things like they used but hopefully you can get something that works. We have a handheld canner for power outages but I can't reliably use it so we have an electric for everyday I am home from dgs's hockey tournament, which they won! Monday is a housework day here and I need to prep the pineapple and bake - thinking lemon zucchini bars....I have an abundance of zucchini and I'm the only one who likes although DH will eat it

Beautiful Christmas mini album, kellyr21. What other artsy plans do you have this week? There is love for the pages in the Gallery. How is everyone in your home doing, kitbop? Love on Flickr for your gorgeous pages. How is your back, Linda? Heading to town soon. I have a hair appointment and will pick up the mail and some groceries. I managed a quick two pager yesterday. Came home to a clean counter so had to mess it up, ya know. Washigton together by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Happy Tuesday! I have a big scrapping and card supply mess on my craft table today. That is a GOOD thing! LOL! I have not played with paper for a while and it feels good to pull dome of these things out again. since I made that Christmas card, I feel energized to make more. I filmed a video today about the Simple Stories Noteworthy card kit I bought earlier this year. It felt good to finally to do this video. I will let you all know when the video is posted. grammadee- As you can see for now I am up to my fingers in pp, cs, stickers and more. LOL! Glad to see you up and back on your feet scrapping away. I left some love in the gallery for you, too. linda grammadee- Thanks for the praise on my card.

kellyr21 , I love your Christmas album. Beautiful photos of the two of you. You have love in the gallery. Keep scrapping, you do such beautiful projects. Thanks for posting photos of all the pages. grammadee , congrats on the Hockey wins. Sounds like some exciting games coming up! Are you completely healed from the Covid? I love your pages about Washington. You have love in the gallery. kitbop , how is Katie doing? I asked Em again today if they pulled the nail off. She reminded me that there is about a quarter inch of nail under the skin and he pulled it all out. You would never guess which finger it was. Hugs to your Katie. Em says it's miserably painful every time you bump it. How is your little Poppy doing? Is your neck improved? When it rains it pours at your house! Hugs to all of you. Linda , I hope your back is feeling better. You may have to postpone some of the cleaning for a day or two. Be kind to your back! Will your DD have more GS activities this weekend, or is it a "home" weekend? I ordered a new electric can opener from Amazon and it was here 4 hours later. Em brought me two manual cutters (extras at her home). One looks awfully familiar. I'm sure my manual can openers must have gone to college with the kids. LOL Waving to all the Pokeys!

Hi friends! kellyr21 - that Christmas card is stunning, and I love what you captured in it. It will be such a pretty thing to put out on display in December! Glad to hear that you are enjoying scrapping although you always seem so arty on a more "legitimate" side of art than me You do such a good job of flexing that part of your brain! grammadee - congrats to your DGS! What fabulous memories and confidence building experiences for him. Your page is awesome - love the tumbling lettering! Linda - sorry your back is complaining. These recurrent issues that seem to rear their heads for no understandable reason, and you gotta keep chugging along but now you are doing it with a bad neck/back/shoulder.... ARGH! nylene - Katie's feeling much better as of yesterday, except when she bumps the fingers like Emily says! Oh my gosh, she just about goes through the roof when that happens. It looks much better too - we re-dressed it yesterday as it offers some protection and warning to people around her (we're using bright colours to wrap it up!). She's glad to hear tales of others who have gone through this (especially because she loves her nails ) Thanks for asking about my neck - it's significantly better than last week and I'm grateful, but has a ways to go yet. Poppy also seems to have made a full recovery considering she almost died... Expensive dang dog, with no known cause for what she went through! I hope your new can opener lasts! AussieMeg - I do have a VERY good PT who works on my neck when it's bad. Last week, as she tried to move stuff around her initial reaction was "oof". I think I was a little stiff! Unfortunately, the sessions kinda flared things up (sound familiar nylene?) and I didn't let her work on me yesterday because it's finally feeling a bit better and I didn't want to jinx my night's sleep. How close are you to the beach? I wish we could get to a beach more easily but it's 1.5-2 hours of driving each way to get to one...a little long for a day trip (we've done it, but prefer weekend trips).

kellyr21 - looking forward to the new video kitbop - glad your neck and her finger are a bit better. (((Hugs))) My back is better today than yesterday but not 100% yet. I have reached the age where I can go to bed with my back feeling fine and wake up with it not so fine I suspect I didn't sleep in the optimal position but between what works best for GERD and what doesn't make my shoulders hurt and...I'm not entirely sure there is an optimal position anymore.

Hello! I'm waiting for a storm to get started, it's getting dark out there. Sunday was a good day. Rudy is not yet as tall as mom, but in another couple of years he will be lol. Once we got settled and chatting no one wanted to get out for lunch so we ended up ordering pizza lol. Finally finished one LO. It's the first layout in a long time so I'm really meh about it, and I'm also A-OK being meh about it lol. My scrap chair broke a few weeks ago and I bought a new one and put that together today. It's going to be good to be back in a chair that swivels. I've got to find a sketch for my Saturday coming up in April if I'm going to have a sample ready. Linda there are still PF grab boxes I'm still a pass. I've come close a few times. I hope your back is feeling better. I love your pages, the little touches and the photos are beautiful. I love nature photos. nylene oh my what an ordeal to get some pineapple! I'm glad you were able to laugh about it and now have several options lol. grammadee congrats to DGS! That's awesome! What a striking layout! The red back ground really grabs your attention and puts it right on the photos. I love the title tumbling down. kitbop I'm glad Katie's nail is looking better. I get tingly thinking about it. I hope your neck starts feeling better too. kellyr21 your mini album is gorgeous! And so are your photos!
