Amazing pages Linda ! I'm in awe of how many pages you've got done. I haven't done one since the last one I did for my 29-4-29 challenge. 😫 On the third wedding page, what is the "Dreams Come True" - is it a sticker, or is it printed on the paper? It looks like it's etched into wood. It looks amazing, whatever it is!

nylene, I hope all went well with the surgery and that you are resting and recovering. I am all packed and ready to head off to the crop with justjac and friends. Scrappy stuff has been in the vehicle since yesterday. Now my suitcase and "what if" bag are ready to head out the door. Just need to grab some lunch, get dressed, and get on the road.

grammadee and justjac - have a wonderful weekend! Safe travels! nylene- hoping all is going smoothly and continuing to keep you in my prayers. You are missed. Good news - the permit was approved for our drainfield so hopefully it'll be installed next week? fingers crossed for good weather - I know they were rescheduling stuff from today due to rain. I'm SO ready for this to be finished. I'll need to schedule a multi-day good deep clean and laundry catchup once it is. Before Easter would be good for that but it's all depending on the drainfield scheduling. Today is the last day of DD's Spring Break - she's back to school on Monday. Tomorrow she'll spend the afternoon at school practising in preparation for Academic Team state meet (early April). And she's volunteered to cook tomorrow night although if practise runs too late, she might switch to Sunday cooking. Grey, rainy, dreary here and I'm lacking in motivation...

Good Saturday morning, Pokeys! Hope you had fun on line last night. We moved our stuff into the crop room, got it organized, went out for supper with our group. As with everything, as I age it seems to take me longer and longer to “get into it”, but I finished a few pages yesterday evening at the venue. One I have been visualizing for weeks, and of course the IRL pages don’t even begin to measure up to that vision. I think the best thing I can say about it is “It’s done.” Then this morning in my room I put together a couple of LO’s that just need finishing touches. I will try later to take photos to post.
Have all my hockey scrappy supplies upstairs and plugging away at those pages. At the crop I started on pages for my dgd’s album, including her birthday. Today I want to move from birthdays to our Orlando trip. Wish me luck!

Grocery shopping done, DD is at her practise. I'm trying to decide if I want to finish up my pages from last night or do some organising

gramma - quality, not quantity They are beautiful! The baby blues of your "baby boy" showcase that sweet baby perfectly. Your "fall" page uses all the icons yet you still bring out the photos withy the green mat. I love how you made the frozen characters on the halloween page - that seems so easy for you to snap your fingers and create the exact ephemera you need. You make me feel very "generic" in my scrapbooking. I just use the pre-made icons that don't clash, but yours (and nylene 's) are always chosen specifically for your theme and I love that! We already talked about rugby... great title

Beautiful pages gramma! I think the fall one is my favorite so fun! And your new baby boy is so precious. grammadee and justjac I hope you are having a great time cropping, even if you aren't getting anything done (um, that would be me! LOL) nylene thinking of you and hoping the surgery went well and you will be able to use your arm again soon. Linda that has to be such a relief that there is light at the end of the plumbing troubles tunnel.

The latest of mine - I'm not very productive lately those are gorgeous and the embellishments are perfect! I love the rugby one - my DS (briefly) played rugby on base in Japan and I was ever so happy he gave it up BEFORE getting hurt. We took down the fence today since that'll be where the new drainfield is going (ish). Removing that L of the fence was already on the to-do list - the previous owners had put up chain link around the backyard and we had already taken down one section to put in the new garage. We're leaving the long section that's part of the border between us and one of the neighbours.

Obviously I need to catch up around here. Will look at your creations in more detail over the next few days, Pokeys.
I am home safe from the crop, with one card and 27 complete or almost complete pages in my bag. Need to add a few finishing touches to some, some journaling to others. It was good to spend all that time with crafters. Introduced a couple of them to my Glimmer system and one is really excited and thinking about putting it on her Christmas list. I still can't get the platform to release after it has heated up. The others don't find it easy, but for me it is impossible. So it is a win/win if I am crafting with them, cuz they can help me when I need it, too. Actually I foiled only one card face and a few sentiments this time. I tend to use it less when I am focussed on assembling pages.
Oh and I wont "Scrap Queen!" That means my registration fee for the next crop is FREE!

That's fabulous grammadee- the pages you completed, the fun you had with friends (jealous!) and your free crop! I'm so glad the weekend was successful. Honestly, I can't imagine how you don't need a meditative Budhist retreat on some Tibetian mountain, given how much activity you've had the past 2 months!!! Started packing this weekend and I realize I'm gonna be talking a lot about that for the next 6 weeks Obviously we're starting with things we rarely use on store shelves etc. I attacked the kitchen pantry and filled a large box. And the pantry still looks full. That kept happening all around the house. 20 boxes in my living room and the house looks exactly the same.

Honestly, I can't imagine how you don't need a meditative Budhist retreat on some Tibetian mountain, given how much activity you've had the past 2 months!!! Ha ha. I would have settled for just curling up in my hotel room after the event was over and staying there for a day or two. Well if it had MY bed in there... As for STUFF expanding as you take it off shelves and out of closets to put into boxes, that will happen all the way through your moving process. And then it won't want to FIT into its new accommodations, even if the new house is bigger. We haven't moved in 35+ years, but I have helped pack and unpack my kids' stuff enough times to know that. And even when we emptied the pantry here for reno's, and I threw away bags of stuff, the contents took up a huge amount of space in tubs on the dining room floor.
Today will be a bit easier for me. Dd's doctor wants to zoom instead of meet in person. So I just need to drive into town, wait for dd's text, then pick up dgs to take him to use his Subway coupon right in town. (I was supposed to go early and ride with them to the next town for the appointment with the pediatrician who wanted to talk to the kid first and then the mom. Dd wanted to be able to speak freely with the dr without upsetting dgs, so I was going to ride with them then take him out while the discussion took place) This way I may still have energy to bring in some of my scrap crap from the vehicle when I get home.

kitbop - ime the house will look fuller before it starts looking emptier because those packed boxes take up space and especially when you've been packing hidden storage (closets, drawers, cabinets) it's hard to SEE the progress. You'll get there though. Get some rest grammadee

Hi everyone -
Nylene has been heavy on my mind the last few days - so being a "woman of action" I called her. She is in the hospital. On Friday she fell and was unable to get up even with Steve and her daughter helping so they called the EMT's. They got her on her feet and about a half hour later she fell again. I asked her if the EMT's were cute because they had to call them again. They took her to the hospital because her legs were so weak. She will be transferring to a Rehab place tomorrow. She said she hoped it wouldn't be more than a few days.
So - that is the update on our dear Nylene.

gramma thank you! I was hoping you would be our woman of action and call her lol. But I sure don't like that news. Poor Nylene, I hope she's right and the rehab is only for a few days. grammadee I hope you get a chance to get some rest. Wow, that's awesome congrats on being crop Queen and having your next crop paid! You came home with 27 pages that are nearly finished and I haven't even done half dozen yet this year lol. I think I'm really a shopper not a scrapper lol. kitbop I do not envy you moving, but I'm so excited and happy for you! I'm finding the same expansion problem going on in my craft space. Mostly with paper lol. I'll echo the others, it will be way worse before it gets better. It's so nice that you will have time to move things and time to consider what you actually want to move as you go without having a date to be out of your now house. Today was so busy! I don't know why, but I was just not prepared for that lol, and now my brain is drained lol. I think knitting and TV sounds like a grand idea

Oh poor sweet nylene. So hoping the rehab helps and that the issue is resolved quickly. Wish we could all gather personally around her and cheer her on. Thanks for the update, gramma. Glad she could talk to you from the hospital. We were all worried. So glad you took action and made contact. Sounds like YOU need a good rest, joyfulnana. Hope you had a relaxing evening and can have a good sleep tonight. This week is dgs's spring break, so it will be a busy one here. Dd is bringing him to the farm for supper on Tuesday and he will have a sleep over. I will take him into town in time for "shinny" on Wednesday. Then Thursday I need to take him to swimming and then to the Seniors' pancake supper b/c dd has meetings. Maybe next week I can rest? The good news is I got my vehicle unloaded today. Hoping to stow everything away tomorrow and continue to photograph and post my pages. But I know her family will rally around her too! gramma - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! grammadee - you guys look so happy on your pages! Especially Mikey playing foosball. The journaling made me LOL. Your days sound exhausting to ME. Maybe I don't want grandkids joyfulnana - one of the hardest parts of this early packing is deciding what i can live without for 5.5 more weeks. I'm not packing up my scrap stuff until the weekend before. My knitting needles and yarn went away yesterday. So of course now I want to start that afghan. I packed my "extra" canned goods. So of course tonight i made a dish that I needed evaporated milk for and it's packed up tight Tonight I'm going to gather all the knick knacks (we don't have that many) because those most certainly aren't necessary!

kitbop - some ideas for 'easy' early packing...books? dvds? music cds? holiday decor? anything you have in storage (attic, garage, cellar, underbeds)? If you don't have trips planned between now and the move - luggage and travel specific stuff? knickknacks are good but also spare blankets, throw pillows, extra table linens...

so today has been a bit of a day. Dh saw his retinal surgeon today - the blood in his eye is diminishing (good news) and he doesn't have to go back for 3 months. Surgeon is giving him a direct referral to a cataract surgeon since our regular eye care practise still hasn't got a eye dr on staff so isn't able to give a referral. So he was home afterwards because of the dilation (can't work). He's watching TV and I'm in my craft room which is next to the front door. There was a LOUD crashing noise and a HUGE branch came crashing down - thankfully just missing the house. About 30 minutes later, an even loud crash and several more big branches came down - just missing the house and our utility trailer which was parked out front. We have tree guys coming on Thursday but I have my fingers crossed that the really big branch that is no longer attached stays PUT. It's sitting in the crock of the trunk and a smaller branch of the tree it came off and also on the tree on the other side of our doorway. the horizontal limb is the one that's balanced currently (and you can see where it broke in the previous photo) the tree here isn't the one most of the branches came from - that one is just out of view on the left. The trailer is just out of the photo on the right. We still don't have a schedule for the new drainfield - they'll call the day before - and I hesitate to guess what the tree guys will charge...but I'm really really hoping this is the end of the home emergencies for a good long time.

Wow, Linda. What a shock to hear all that. So glad that your house and trailer are undamaged. Hope the tree guys and the drainage guys come soon to clean all that up so you can relax for awhile. No relaxing here--dgs is here for a sleepover. He is in bed now, but not until after a very close hockey game on TV which got him pretty revved up. Fortunately the Oilers won in OT so he could go to bed happy LOL. Now I have to unwind...

Oh Linda that's awful! I'm so glad it missed the house and trailer! I hope this is the end of any and all emergencies for you for a good long while! You've had quite a lot going on there. @kibop everything you are describing sounds like me lol. Of course I would pack something from the pantry that had been there for months and then decide to make something calling for it. Same with the knitting lol. I always want whatever it is I don't/can't have lol. Humans lol. grammadee I sympathize with you lol. dgs is off visiting mom's family in Colorado and man it's been quiet around here without him popping over a couple times during the week, or on weekends. It's also been a nice stretch of downtime from his big energy lol. I hope you are able to relax soon too. I had a appointment yesterday for a pacemaker check, and I can never remember how to get to their office. It's on a hospital complex and I can never find the right building. I ended up late and rushing in there to find out my appointment is on Thursday. But I'll be able to find it without being late this time LOL! Still waiting to hear on Abby's labs, but she seems to be eating better the past few days, so I'm hoping everything comes back clear with her. I have the finishing touches left on that LO for sketchy Saturday finally. I hate it when I try to change a sketch and I can't get it to work the way I see it in my head lol. Wishing a calm, peaceful as possible day for you all! nylene I'm thinking of you, I hope things are progressing and you're back at home soon.
