Hey Pokeys. gramma thanks for the update on nylene. Sending gentle hugs your way nylene. Linda I'm so glad those branches didn't hit your house or trailer. joyfulnana good luck at your appointment. kitbop I was so relieved when DH and I got together that he moved into my place because I didn't want to have to pack and move! Good luck with all of it. Do you have showings and that kind of thing on your place, too? I got a lot done at the crop and for once I hardly bought anything. Just a 49 and Market 6x8 paper pad from the Kaleidoscope collection and a pack of rub ons and ephemera to go with it. I made four pages in my women's history month daily pages notebook. I put all the cards into the pockets for my monthly Project Life class and pictures for January and February. I finished the March sheetload of cards. I used the Doodlebug purple winter line and I love the colours so much. I coloured a couple of my 100 day images. I'm a good 10 days behind or so but I'm giving myself grace and plugging along when I get a chance. Dean and I both have Good Friday off and we're relaxing at home. Saturday we have tickets to see Hairspray in the city and we're staying overnight. I wish it wasn't Easter weekend, especially the last Easter that my mom is in her house, but we don't get to pick the show dates. I will be making my sample for Sketchy Saturday on Friday and posting it right away. I do have a plan, but I have left making my layout until the last minute.

kitbop, if you take some pic's of the boxes, and are still scrapping this week, you can nail this month's Donna challenge!

Another Nylene update - -
I just spoke with her. She has moved to the rehab place. She sounds so much better. If you didn't know she has been through a tough time you wouldn't know from her voice. Steve was there and he answered the phone. I asked if she was being mean and he laughed and said YES.
She said she has been to Physical Therapy a couple of times and is progressing well. One day left her with sore knees so today she wouldn't let them do the same routine. She is able to sit on the side of her bed and wait for help to the bathroom. Then she is supposed to wait in the bathroom for help to get back to bed. If she gets tired of waiting she manages or her own. So that sounds very good. Also the hospital took her off of ALL pain meds for a day or so but she has them back now. Looks like she will be there for a couple of weeks.
And that is the Nylene update - all sounds good

Thanks so much for calling her and updating us, gramma! I love that you relayed the sound of her voice being so much herself. I really hope she doesn't get too adventurous on her own until she is strong enough not to fall while "managing on her own". Em should bring her some card making supplies to keep by her bed and in her bathroom so she has something to do while she waits.

Thank you gramma for the update on nylene. I'm glad she's doing better but a little worried about the "managing on her own". I'll keep praying for her. justjac - sounds like you had a productive and fun crop as well.

gramma - thank you again for the update! I'm glad she's feeling a little better and hoping she doesn't risk another fall which could un-do what the shoulder surgery was meant to fix!!! Linda joyfulnana gramma justjac - are we still cropping tomorrow or are you guys otherwise engaged with the holiday? With it being the last day of work this week my brain was excited to think we might crop tonight, then I remembered it was only Thursday. justjac - I guess the trick to being productive is to leave distractions at home!?! Have fun at Hairspray - I've never seen it live but bet it will be a blast. Linda - tree limb still stable? I was working on my "timber" layout just last Friday - and here you are with a "timber" of your own!

kitbop - I'm game for cropping tomorrow - hopefully by then I'll have finished my scrappy decluttering/reorganising project. We had the tree guy out for estimates and evaluation today. I think the answer to your question about that one limb is NO since he's sending a crew first thing in the morning to deal with the limb. Taking down 2 maybe 3 trees will need to wait until April 12 or so when he can fit us into the schedule. I really really hope this is the END of home disasters this year. We still don't have a date on the drainfield which is probably due to all the rain lately. The fridge guy has ordered me a replacement for the ice maker but no eta on that yet.

gramma thank you for the update on nylene! It sounds like she's in good spirits. I'm up for scrapping kitbop! Thinking Thursday is Friday is something I do on the regular. Sadly, I always have to work on Friday so and can get very disappointed lol. justjac have fun this weekend. Sounds like a productive crop for you and grammadee both. Linda I really really really hope this is the end of your home emergencies too. You've got a lot in a such a short amount of time.

I really really really hope this is the end of your home emergencies too. You've got a lot in a such a short amount of time. I really really hope so too. The tree guys came out this morning to take down that one big limb that broke off but was caught between the two trees (and right above our front doorway). They'll be back in two weeks to take down the two trees and another dead tree trunk. BUT I think they'll end up taking out our big pine tree on the fence line also - spotted it this morning - it's completely brown and really stood out as the surrounding trees are all in leaf now. The main tree guy had left by then but one of his guys looked at it and said it was either dead or actively dying and probably from a lightning strike. So it'll probably get added to the job. Looking forward to cropping tonight with you guys. I need to find re-organising my desk so there's space to crop, lol. Continuing to pray for nylene

Oh poop, I was so busy running around disinfecting the house from DS's COVID germs, that I didn't log on early enough to see the link for the crop. Maybe next time.....

Happy Easter, Pokeys! Love your Easter outfits, Linda. No such coordination around here. We are having our Easter dinner today, so I will be lucky if I have time for a shower and a change of shirt before then LOL Actually just six of us for supper, so not really a big deal. Then the same six tomorrow for leftovers. Dd & dgs will be staying the night.

Thanks grammadee -not sure how fancy we're planning tomorrow to be honest - some years we dress up and make a fancy dinner, some years it's more casual. Enjoy your Easter!

Happy Saturday Pokeys! Chores are done and shopping is done and I've got the rest of the weekend to do anything I want! Now what to do? LOL. I love it when I set myself up for a weekend with lots of free time. I'm not usually this organized lol. I want to do a good clean up of my scrap space. Nothing motivates me to want to create than a clean space lol. No Easter dinner here, somewhere along the way I've gotten away from that. Mostly because it's hard to coordinate all the schedules. But we are going to meet up late afternoon for coffee and dessert. Maybe some games. Just my boys, dgs is still with mom. He'll be back around here on Monday. AussieMeg sorry you missed us, maybe once winter settles in for you we'll see you more often . I hope everyone has a good weekend! I need to figure out my points for the quarter. I don't know how it's over already, but it sure is. Linda your Easter pages are really lovely. I love the bright colors of your clothes and also the papers you use. They are such happy layouts! grammadee your weekend sounds like a lot and yet sounds oddly calm considering your life lately lol. I hope you get some REST!

I came on to post the April Pokey challenge for Nylene. I can't because I'm getting a "system error". I'll try again in the morning
