Stay tuned for adventures in moving! Linda - you know how I feel about your layouts already! Annoying and beautiful Glad your dd had a good camp trip. I am envious of her! joyfulnana - I love the character in that layout - it's so perfect for the paper!

congratulations kitbop ! Hoping the rest of the process goes smoothly Sorry about the littens - DD17 didn't get any either because her phone was out of charge after the canoeing trip you know how I feel about your layouts already! Annoying and beautiful Thank you...sorry about the annoying part Off to the laundrymat today to wash the towels we used to mop up with yesterday as well as the camping gear - I'll spare you the details but our adventures in plumbing continue...

wow - it's been a long time (thankfully) since I've had to use a laundrymat - nearly $20 to wash TWO loads (just wash - brought them home to dry). Yikes - I don't know how people manage who have to do that regularly.
Now to run them through my dryer. Going to bake Irish soda bread and probably also a Guinness chocolate cake with Bailey's cream frosting (I shouldn't but it's SO good). We'll do corned beef for dinner with potatoes and carrots.
Hoping to find some scrappy time later - at a minimum I need to sort and put away my new Pinkfresh box.
Happy St Patrick's Day to all who are Irish/Irish descent (or wish they were)

Yay kitbop! That's so exciting! We really didn't play pokemon long yesterday. Not even long enough to hit the 10 pokestops Rudy needed to evolve one of his Pokemon. He caught a shiny litten, I did not. We didn't start until community day was almost over. Linda your Irish feast sounds good. Especially the desert! Yum! Wow, that's a lot to wash only! I hope all the plumbing gets sorted for you soon. I'm glad those PF boxes finally sold out for good, I looked everyday and kept telling myself no lol. I am excited to see what changes they make and hopefully they do bring back the scrapbooking side of the business. I'm going to get my sketch sample started today and hang some curtains. I'm so out of the loop on holidays that I totally forgot it was St. Patricks' Day this weekend. Or maybe that just means I'm out of the loop when it comes to green beer and pub crawls lol.

Nice Irish feast Linda. We barely recognize the day anymore - I wore green to work - DD and her BF went out last night for a street party that is famous around here, but the cops had it shut down before they got there at 5:30. So they just went to a local pub and enjoyed some poutine. Yes gramma - we got the house! It's 3200 sq. feet - which is 3 times the size of our current house. We will move at the end of April/beginning of May. The weekend we get possession I was really excited about getting the kitchen and beds moved over right away...but that's the weekend my DH has a big guys weekend planned...which he forgot to mention when we submitted the offer So anybody who wants to come visit has an open invitation to come stay! And scrap There's an 11x11 den which I assumed would be my scraproom, but DH thinks I should use the 17.5x11 living room (which has doors for privacy) and use the den for computers. I figure giving myself too much space would be dangerous...

Well the league finals are over and sadly our boys won only the silver. Dgs has real trouble with transitions, and it suddenly hit him this afternoon in the middle of feeling super sad about their loss of the banner that the season is OVER . But he worked it out by hangin out with the facility caretaker whom he has bonded with over the season, and ended up staying after everyone else went home to clean the dressing room, even washing the floor! Wow! Good news, kitbop ! Sounds like a wonderfully spacious house and lots of options for a craft room or two! HOW close are you to Niagara University? My dgd plans to be there at least for a couple of years, so I might need a place for a sleepover... Linda , that WAS really expensive for washing a few loads! I actually like to do both washing and drying when at the laundromat b/c all the loads can be done at the same time and I don't have to keep switching them into the dryer. And wet clothes can be pretty heavy. Not that I like the laundromat, but if I DO need to use it, I want to just pop everything in, sit and read until the buzzers, move everything over to the dryers, sit and read a bit more, then fold and sort and load up clean dry clothes to take home. I see mom is planning to set up on line crops all week. I hope to drop in tomorrow for a bit. Not sure if I will create anything, or just spend the time putting kits together for the in person crop this next weekend. Won't get into serious packing until Wednesday, but I can start with some page kits now I guess. I have printed off a bunch of sketches and hope to use some dies and embossing folders here at home to use on the pages after I get the photos printed.

kitbop - you're going to love all that space! We have 2,634 sqft and it's amazing! My scrap space is our living room also and about that size - the family room with fireplace (which we don't use) is our 'living room' space - dh didnt' feel we needed two especially since we also have a screen room and since he nabbed that 20x20 bonus room upstairs... No door on my room though - it's off the foyer and just has an open archway. grammadee - Silver is still excellent and it sounds like your dgs handled the disappointment well. I'm hoping to at least pop in on mom's crops today and tomorrow but I'll definitely be there the rest of the week. We have a lunch date with friends today and tomorrow is DD17's dentist visit.

it suddenly hit him this afternoon in the middle of feeling super sad about their loss of the banner that the season is OVER I *so* relate. So. completely. relate. The end of an amazing experience is bittersweet. But silver is awesome! I'm sure he's been told. But a competitive spirit will help him aim high! HOW close are you to Niagara University? 1 hour 20 minutes. Easy drive And I'll take you to both my LSSes! And then I'll come to Niagara and we'll go over the border and go shopping at Target and Trader Joes and Joanne... No door on my room though - it's off the foyer and just has an open archway That's exactly this one, except they kindly added doors! With frosted glass panes or little sheer curtains I'll have all the privacy I need. So maybe I will opt for the big room then. we only need the 1 living room, and can make the other my craft room with 2 computer desks for gaming, and a few shelves so I can start my lego hobby I'm sorry about the laundry difficulty - it's so difficult to make that trek with heavy wet clothes, btdt! I am appalled at the price too. The washer/dryer are NOT being left in our new house So we can move our current machines which do not match and have some glitches (the dryer works well but only shuts off if you open the door!) but OTOH it might be better to leave them here and sell them with this house, and get some nice new ones? I'm really not fussy - the machines work well and I would never replace them otherwise, but it seems like an opportunity. I am off to the bank to get a big cheque for the deposit! Then I'm hoping to pop on the crop. Yay!

kitbop - I'm voting for the bigger room for you! Can't wait to see you all moved in and set up! I'll vote for a new washer/dryer as well but I completely understand if you decide to skip that expense for now and move yours - that's what we did. Nice seeing you this morning grammadee - sorry I had to duck out but the three of us went out to lunch with friends - so nice. We don't see them as often as we would like to. Planning to host a dinner once all our plumbing issues are resolved. I got to play with my new Pinkfresh box on the crop.

Oh boy, I didn't realise it had been so long since I posted on a pokey thread! I just caught up with some of the goss on the February thread, after some spammer BTT'd it. grammadee I didn't realise that you'd had COVID, I hope you're better now. I need to catch up, so pardon me while I go read the last five pages of this thread! ETA: Okay, so I *had* posted already on this thread, I must have just missed the last couple of pages from the Feb thread. I'm so confused!!

Wow, you miss a couple of days and this thread explodes. I love that! But I am behind and won't get caught up for a while. We had a great time at the wedding and arrived home safely. We have had so much to do before the surgery on Thurs so I haven't been able to check in. Tomorrow is scheduled all day and I hope to sleep well tomorrow night. (not really counting on it!) I guess it's normal to be nervous. We think we have everything under control as far as fixing meals, etc. I will check in when I can or may have Angie hop on the thread to give an update. I just skimmed, but Linda, your pages are phenomenal! kitbop, I am so happy for you. What a great time you will have with all that room.

Happy Wednesday! Waving hi to you all. My dh celebrated his birthday on Monday. I got him this Hallmark card and I was excited for him to have this pop-up card. But I didn't remember it had music and lights, too. So when you pushed the button, it lights up and sings Cool & The Gangs song. "Celebrate good times, c'mon." So cool and he loved it! I did too, LOL! I gotta catch up here, too nylene!

But we did buy a house. Apparently. Stay tuned for adventures in moving! Wow, exciting!! I can't wait to hear more. How many kids do you still have at home? wow - it's been a long time (thankfully) since I've had to use a laundrymat I used one recently to wash our king sized doona (duvet). We have a big washing machine with a doona setting, but our doona is just too big. I put it in the wash at the laundromat, did my grocery shopping, put it in the dryer, dropped in to visit dad nearby, then went back and got my freshly washed and dried doona. Prior to that, the last time I used one was when we were in Singapore in July. It was so hot and humid, everything I wore was sweaty and gross, so we did a wash at a laundromat near our hotel in Chinatown.

Happy birthday Mr. Kelly! Lovely pages, Linda. And I left love in the Gallery for kitbop's fun hockey pages. AussieMeg, thanks for asking. Covid was not too rough on me. Just cold symptoms, headache and fatigue. Thinking of you today, nylene, hoping all goes well with the surgery, the recovery goes smoothly, and it rights whatever is wrong with that shoulder. Also thinking about you b/c for the first time in my life today I fell BACKWARDS off a step ladder. It was in front of the fridge so I could reach a pan in the high cupboard. I lost my balance and not sure if I helped or hurt myself by trying to control the fall. Ended up on my butt on the floor, but I grazed my wrist pretty good on the counter and my other elbow and under arm on a chair on the way. Starting to feel some stiffness in my back and arm now, but I managed to get up, climb back up that stupid ladder, (all those years of "getting back on the horse" mentality), got the pan and cooked supper. Packing up the SUV should be fun tomorrow... I have most of my crop stuff packed ready for loading sometime tomorrow and driving to the crop on Friday.

Thinking of you nylene ! I hope it goes well and you are back in business soon. Oh grammadee I hope you are nothing but stiff and sore from your fall! Getting older just plain sucks sometimes. Have fun at your crop! Congrats to the silver medalist! Linda ! I love what you are doing with the patterned paper! Your pages are beautiful, and the patterned paper really sets things off. Not much going on here (as usual) lol. I'm mostly really ok with that. Getting Abby into the vet Friday since she hasn't been eating very well and is looking skinny to me. Linda I think she is waking me so early because she isn't satisfied with the amount she had been eating. I've always left kibble for her to free feed, but when she stopped eating it is when all the early morning shenanigans started I think. Hopefully it's just a toothache and nothing major. kitbop I'm so happy for you, I can't wait to see your new space! kellyr21 happy birthday to Ron!

Congrats on the house kitbop. nylene I hope everything goes well with your surgery and recovery. grammadee I hope you're not too sore. I started piling things for the crop yesterday, but haven't actually packed anything yet. I hope all goes well with Abby at the vet joyfulnana. I love the card you got Rob kellyr21. When my nieces were little they loved opening and closing musical cards, so I made sure to buy that kind for them. Linda I love the papers you are using for the wedding pages. Such pretty layouts. I tweaked my left hip again, probably by sitting too much and bad posture. Although I'm wondering if my new medication is playing a part. I'm on a statin for cholesterol and they warned me that a possible side effect is muscle pain, but I assumed it would be in my whole body and not just part. Anyway, I had a massage Tuesday and am doing my exercises that I got the last time I went to physio. I'm hoping to get everything ready for the crop after supper tonight. I have so many projects I could work on, but then I think about all the things I could bring "just in case". grammadee was in for our mystery book club Tuesday. It was a fun evening. A short book discussion, a lot of food, and a game. It's called Romance Versus the World and it's like a romance novel version of Cards Against Humanity. A bit risque, but fun. I'm thinking your autumn is a lot nicer than our spring AussieMeg. Most of our snow has melted but it is a little cold today, a high of only -7C. Have a great day everyone!

That game WAS fun, justjac . I am not too stiff this morning, just a little more achy than usual. Loaded my crop crap into the suv. I find if I spread out loading and unloading it is easier on my back. I will still probably be picking up extra things all day today and tomorrow morning thinking "What if I NEED this at the crop?" I seem to have lost my "What if?" shoulder tote so I may need to find an alternative... Hoping the vet appointment goes well, joyfulnana . I thought I would have to call dd a couple days ago to find him dead somewhere in the garage. He wasn't out when I went there to feed him and didn't come out when I called. But when I located him by shining a flashlight under the ramp, he responded by uncurling himself (I still thought he was dead when I first saw him there) and coming out for food and water. Today he is back to his annoying self, jumping up into the vehicle and getting in the way when I was trying to load my crop containers. More awesome pages, Linda . Hard to pick a fav, but I do love the pic's of the lambs. Some of our neighbours have sheep, and I keep thinking I should ask if I can go over in lambing season and take some photos. But most farm animals are like our nephew's cows, and the moms are not very receptive to having strangers hanging around the pens with their babies. Oh and the wedding pages you posted earlier and just now are GORGEOUS! Thinkin' of you, nylene ...
