This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items or any other creative projects. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members. If you are on a Team, complete the 4 challenges and post them on this thread for an extra 4 points.

It seems like February fled by and we even had an extra day. I look forward to a bit warmer weather in March and maybe some Spring flowers. grammadee , you have love in the gallery on your amazing Hogwarts page! Wow. I am so sorry about the Covid. Take those naps when you need them. I hope it doesn't last long. Hugs! Hope you are feeling much better each day. joyfulnana , I think I may be able to join in tomorrow for the crop if you start one. Linda , cute photos of your New Year’s celebration. Love the purple and the crowns you are wearing. It’s always fun to see Dusty and Chai is so cute. Sweet pages. I love the envelope you used for your photo and cascading hearts. Cute cookie photos and adorable cookie gnome. I love your many pages of your family game playing. What a great way to stay close together. That snowman page is the most original way to scrap snow in Florida. You are amazing! Cool Pokemon Go page and sweet Valentine page. Looks like good food. Love the paper on your Music page. Great way to document current likes. Beautiful Christmas page and the sewing page seems so familiar. My girls had days like that but finally persevered enough to become proficient. Cute ice cream paper and rainbow papers on your last 2 pages. You have been a busy bee! Thanks for sharing. I have been making Easter Cards for the great-grands and youngest grands. They are cute egg cars and carrot cars, files I bought several weeks ago. I will take photos and post. I am trying to find things that I can make with my hairdresser who is coming next Friday to learn to make cards. I hope I can figure out something really simple that she can make and take supplies home to make others. Still thinking on this. Any suggestions? Wishing all you wonderful Pokeys a great March!

Thanks for setting us up for March! nyleneThank you also for all the sweet comments on my layouts. Your Easter cards sound fun - I look forward to seeing them. As for the hairdresser? I think the sketchload cards are usually fairly simple and yet turn out really nice.

joyfulnana - Thank you for your sweet comments on the Feb thread. TBH I didn't recognise most of Annabelle's songs either but I'm planning on trying to find them on YouTube to give them a listen I'm also looking forward to tomorrow's night crop. 730 right?

Happy March, Pokeys! Is it coming in for you like a lion or a lamb? Thanks for starting the new threads each month, nylene, and for keeping the gang together with the crops, joyfulnana. I may drop in for a bit this evening just to chat. I plan to mask up and drive into town today for groceries and the mail. Hoping some printer ink arrives, as the last pic I tried to print was abysmal. And I think the gift I ordered for dgd's birthday next week should be here today. Will keep any contact with people to a minimum or at a distance of a couple of meters. Feeling almost back to normal, but who knows what all the excitement of a trip to town will do?

Glad you're feeling better grammadee - I think masking is a good idea and hopefully your trip to town doesn't wear you out too much. Right now March is 72 and cloudy but we have thunderstorms rolling in this afternoon that'll stick around over the weekend.

joyfulnana What about you gramma ? I saw one day that the whole state was on stay at home orders because of the storms. The bad, bad, bad part of this storm is mainly in the northern part of the state. The expectation is that there will a LOT of snow. Enough so that there are warnings out that the highway will certainly be closed. And yes the advice is to stock up and stay home in that area. But there are always people who just "have to travel". That's the way to the casinos and ski resorts doncha know? We are getting rain where I am - lots and lots of rain. But I haven't heard anything about flood warnings - yet grammadee It was fun to see your layout about your Christmas gift to Cirque du Soleih (sp). I just got back from a trip to Vegas to see Barry Manilow which was my Christmas gift from my kids. We went to "O" also. What fun it all was - Me, two of my kids, two of their kids, my sister and her husband and a friend and her husband. 11 of us - and all seated together for both shows. nylene Sheetload of Cards and Kristy Marcotte both have cards that are pretty simple and easy to cut multiples to make into "kits". That's what I use most of the time. That and I print and cut images to add to them rather that paper piecing small embellishment items. Linda You're going to complete all of the 29-4-29 challenges, aren't you? Wow! I'll be on the crop this evening - see ya'll there.

gramma and Linda , thanks for the card ideas. I have found a sheetload that is very simple, takes 2 12x12 papers. I think I will have some cut and some she can take home to cut if she wants. I don't know what supplies she owns. I have cut a bunch of the little Easter cards I'm making so she can make 3 for her great-grands. She may decide card making takes more time and supplies than she is willing to do. Chick and Bunny Easter Cards grammadee , I hope the trip to town doesn't take all your energy. I am glad you are feeling better. Take it easy! joyfulnana, see you tonight!

joyfulnana and everyone - I am *gutted* to have missed the crop. I have been living for that all week. I have been struggling with my guts for a week, and yesterday morning they really blew up. At 6:30, I was on the couch trying to convince myself that I wasn't dying. I could not move and slept there for the night. A little better this morning, and hoping things are going to be OK today. But PISSED OFF that I couldn't join you!

kitbop - that sounds miserable - I'm glad you're a bit better today and hope that turns into all better very soon. We missed you but completely understand. (((Hugs))) I have a phone call scheduled with my bestie this morning and I'll scrap during it. Then grocery shopping later. Such an exciting life, lol.

Oh no, kitbop. I hope your gut is going to treat you better today! Any trigger for the attack, that you can figure out? I know that stress is a big one for me, but there usually has to be something else to set it off. Ha ha, gramma. That first one is a hoot! Stay warm and dry this wild weekend. Sorry I missed the crop, joyfulnana. I had planned to drop in for a bit just to chat but had a headache after supper so thought I would lie down first... and the crop was over! Headache is still with me this morning, settled in around my left eye, but hoping I can soothe it with coffee. Either that or I need to go hide in the dark for awhile... My printer ink cartridges came yesterday, but I haven't replaced them yet. If I can get a decent redo on that photo I want to print it for a page I have in my head. My hockey playing GrandDAUGHTER has been drafted by the Niagara University Purple Eagles for next year. I have some signing pic's from last week. Also have some pic's she sent to me of her current team's trip there in the fall with the falls in the background. Perfect for your Fall challenge, gramma, dontja think? And for this month's Donna challenge. Also have a birthday card to make for her. Don't think I will actually put anything together today, but if I can print the pic then I can start finding other supplies...

We missed you kitbop and grammadee . I hope you both start feeling better. grammadee that sounds like a migraine coming on, do you get those? One of my aunts got them something fierce. She would be in bed in the dark for days. Although, now that I'm thinking about it, I get sinus headaches that start the same way. Linda I really love these pages, and DD has such a cute quirky smile. Enjoy your time with your time with your bestie! I'm scrapping with my mom and niece soon and groceries and chores after. I have quite an exciting life too lol. I mostly like it that way lol. I'm committing to hosting a crop at 7:30-10PM EST every Friday, as long as you guys want to scrap on Friday nights. Unless something comes up of course, but otherwise it's going on my schedule. Although last night I was just gabby and not very scrappy LOL! I hope everyone has a good weekend and starts feeling better!

Hi - I'm back Putting along today. Melba toast + pepto bismol are my friends. I'm pretty sure I have an ulcer that reacts to my life, and told me to take a seat for a few days. Also pretty sure it was bleeding last night. Of course, always happens on a weekend when you have to wait until Monday for a doctor! In my case, I'll consult with my friendly nurse practitioner at work and get an antibiotic from her, then follow up with my GP when it's more convenient. gramma - I saw about the snow because I got a Facebook feed saying that they have closed Sequoia national park for the weekend because of the storm. CA has had more storms this year than I have! grammadee - when it's time for you to get a new printer, can I recommend a megatank type printer? *So* much less ink replacing and so much easier and cheaper. It was a game changer for me. And...yay for your DGD!!! Does this mean that you'll come visit Ontario sooner than later? joyfulnana - I will always join a crop if I can!!! Thanks for offering. I am often ready earlier than 7:30 - if I open one at 6:30 or 7:00 is that OK by you? nylene - oh.my.gosh. Those Easter car(d)s (LOL) are fun, joyful, precious - all the good stuff!

grammadee - I hope your headache has eased. Congratulations to your granddaughter!!! Thank you joyfulnana - I love her smile! kitbop - please do get that checked - ulcers are no fun but bleeding ulcers can be dangerous! (((Hugs))) gramma - I'm glad the weather isn't quite so bad where you are but wow -not what I think of when I think of California weather. Stay safe I didn't get any scrapping done on my call this morning because a large grey kitty (Dorian) insisted on hogging all the space on my scrapdesk. It was a good talk though. Then DH and I grabbed lunch at Captain D's, played Pokemon Go, and did the grocery shopping. Hopefully tonight I can palm Dorian off on someone else and scrap

Linda , those are cameras across your layout! Last night I thought they were ribbons threaded through the paper. LOL. I love her wry smile. Poor thing! Great way to use 3 large photos on a small canvas. Looks like she’s a good outdoor chef! Beautiful sunset photos and your handmade sunset is amazing. I love all the enamel dots to outline it and the torn paper anchoring it. That girl is a great photographer. I love the simplicity of the Nature pages that let those photos shine! Thank you for posting and keep doing it. kitbop , I am so sorry you are feeling miserable. I hope the Pepto helps and you are back on your feet soon! We missed you on the crop. Know we were thinking of you! grammadee , congrats to your DGD! What a honor. That's in NY isn't it? That's a long way from home, but I'm sure she is very excited! I am eager to see the photos she sent. I'm sorry about your headache. That's how my migraines start, but I have not had one in several years.(knock wood) I hope relaxing at home will help you. We surmised last night that the trip to town was too much for you. How are the Covid symptoms? Perhaps it's a Covid headache? Hang in there. gramma , I have been watching all the snow on hiway 80. Wow! We drove through a storm along that route returning from Angie's once, but it was April and not too bad. We didn't stop to put on chains, but had them if we needed them. We got a bit of that storm today and it will continue for a couple of days. It started snowing an hour ago and we have over an inch and more coming. Will you get snow or just rain to make your place muddy? I am longing for Spring, how about you? I chose to put off my grocery shopping until Monday, but we made one quick trip to pick up dinner (Texas Roadhouse gift card) and pick up photos I need for tomorrow. It was really hard to see, as the snow was blowing sideways. The wind is so strong it is whipping our flag which makes the flag pole whip back and forth. It's too hard to take the flag down in a storm, so we just hope the wind doesn't break the pole off. Have I told you, less than a hundred times, how much I hate wind? I HATE WIND!

I would add you guys to my Pokemon Go, but I really don't play anymore. kitbop that sounds miserable. And of course you can open a crop on Friday at whatever time works for you! I'm not being the boss of it, after we finished up last night, it felt nice that we've had this set time lately, so I thought I would just host it. I'm happy to join in if you start one! Linda I hope you got some peaceful scrapping time. grammadee, I recently bought a smaller HP ecotank and I'm happy with it so far. It's the most I've ever spent on a printer, but I wanted something that would print borderless and hopefully the ink lasting longer. I don't know yet how long the ink lasts, but I'm very happy with the print quality. My time to scrap this morning didn't go as planned either. They have the flu at my niece's and mom was having a really hard time with the tech side today. So she and I just ended up on the phone for awhile. I started Shimelle's use you bold patterned paper class. And I'm finally using Main Character Energy. I love that line! And this LO is Screaming for those purple glitter thickers I cheaped out on because I thought I would never use them. I've already got 2 sets of the thickers and several more papers in a cart waiting for me to pull the trigger lol. kellyr21 and gramma stay safe! I know the snow isn't where you are, but wow that's a lot! nylene it sounds like waiting until Monday to get groceries was the right decision. It was beautiful here, in the 70s and sunny lol.

I started Shimelle's use you bold patterned paper class. And I'm finally using Main Character Energy. I love that line! And this LO is Screaming for those purple glitter thickers I cheaped out on because I thought I would never use them. I just finished a layout with them. I totally purchased them because of FOMO. I'm not even a purple fan! But now I've done 2 titles with them and am happy to have them. Also...purple is growing on me. Also...I purchased lots of the 12x12 pp originally, but then bought the 6x8 paper pad because I loved it, and then bought a 2nd 6x8 paper pad because i forgot about the first. And then I bought the 12x12 pad because it was 50% off. So, don't ask me for advice about Main Character Energy purchases I've used at least 1/2 the sticker sheet and might buy another!!! nylene - I love how your observations on layouts leads me to see things I hadn't intentionally noticed before. Yes, Linda, Annabelle's smile! It feels so familiar now! And I agree, she takes wonderful story-full photos. I think my stomach has settled a bit tonight. Hopefully it will continue to recede to the background so I can ignore that I "should get into the doctor about that" a little longer???

It feels so familiar now! And I agree, she takes wonderful story-full photos. Thank you Funny story...when I first started scanning my mum's photos, we found a few of my dad from WW2 and just after (when he was 19-22 ish) and Annabelle definitely gets her smirk from him. I think my stomach has settled a bit tonight. Hopefully it will continue to recede to the background so I can ignore that I "should get into the doctor about that" a little longer??? I hope it continues to improve but please don't put off seeing the doctor too long. You really do need to have it looked into and treated. (((Hugs))) I wrote up another family history section tonight so hopefully once DD reads and edits it, I can get it scrapped in the next couple of days.

Happy March, Pokeys! We had a busy February. I worked on this page during a Pokey crop last week and finally finished it. I also did another page tonight. I realized they look a little similar in composition, but they won't be right next to each other in the album. Good morning, Pokeys. Woke up to about half a foot of new snow on the ground, here, and still snowing. Dd had planned to bring dgs out this morning to shovel the stuff that has arrived in the last week, but I told her not to add extra snowy miles to her drive to hockey today. Hockey goes on no matter the weather and they have a game about 40 miles from home. Stay warm, dry and SAFE gramma, scrappyrabbit, kellyr21, and nylene! scrappyrabbit those pages are beautiful. And they could sit side by side in your album and look perfect together. I love that Dad's page is very linear and Mom's is a bit wonky with the tilted pic's: somehow that encapsulates how OUR parenting went. joyfulnana, Main Character Energy is one of the few collections I have been able--so far--to avoid purchasing. I have a ton of supplies from earlier trips to Disney, so will have to "make do" scrapping the latest pic's with the older stuff. Looking forward to seeing your pages from the class. Haven't purchased any Shimelle classes for awhile, and can't remember if this was one of the ones in my package? (I purchased two and had a third thrown in free b/c of delays with the second). Glad you are feeling better, kitbop, but I agree that you should probably still get this checked out. No headache this morning, but still feeling what my grandmother called "stodgy". Think I will try to at least get a LO kit together for the pic's of my dgd. The finished pages may have to come after I have had a chance to get some photo printing done. And I need to make her a birthday card. Did some stenciling yesterday for both the page and the card and that is dry now.

scrappyrabbit - beautiful photos and pages - I do love the collection pack you chose because it's soft and lovely but doesn't feel overly pastel and cliche. Here is the layout I finished last night. It's almost exclusively Main Character Energy - the enamel dots are concord and 9ths, the film strip is 49th and market, 2 different alpha sticker fonts, and the strip of blue pp is actually a scrap I had (because I didn't want to cut into a fresh sheet). There's a pocket page that accompanies this, but they never photograph well so I leave them out! layout dance grad salute by kirstendrew, on Flickr
