kellyr21 ! I just watched your new video. All of your paintings are beautiful!! And I love the message you bring to your art and videos. I'm not sure if you have named any of them, but the second one in the video was so bright and colorful and that one is my favorite. Well, YOU in the frame with the butterfly wings was my very favorite

Happy Spud Day, Pokeys! We will be heading out in a couple of hours to put our seed potatoes into the ground. Dh prepared the garden yesterday. The ground is dry and it has been unseasonably warm the last few days, so even if it is a couple of weeks early, this is on today's agenda. So glad you guys had a good time yesterday evening! I was exhausted when we got back from the circus. Had porridge and tea (not having been able to ingest the reportedly delicious hot dogs at the event), then watched the first period of the Oilers' game before sending dgs and myself to bed. kitbop, it is shaping up to have us go head to head next round. (Well, after our teams each win two more games...) I was hoping the Oilers and Canucks would not have to play each other until later, but I guess we are going division by division before conference showdown.

Fingers crossed grammadee that we do get a head-to-head! I grew up in the gretzky/messier/fuhr/kurri/anderson/coffey days (those names will always own real estate in my brain!) which left me with both a soft spot for the oilers, but also with a vengence against them!

Just popping in to let nylene and gramma know that I'm not in the path of the threat of the tornados. We will get heavy rain, and they said get your devices charged lol. But the severe weather is surrounding KC. It's so weird.

Hello all. Happy Spud Day grammadeejoyfulnana - I'm so glad that you're safe Busy day here and I got sunburnt but had fun. We went to the wildflower festival - enjoyed walking around, seeing all the wildflower fields, checking out the vendors, listening to live music, and meeting some alpacas. Then we headed to dh's company picnic - catered bbq lunch, food trucks (shaved ice, non-dairy soft serve, and coffee), DD climbed the rock wall and played laser tag, DH and I walked around the grounds (it's at a campground), and dh even won a door prize.

kellyr21, I just watched your new video. You have done a beautiful job! I love the whole concept behind each one. I especially love seeing you at the end with your wings. You fly, girl! joyfulnana, so glad that you are not in the center of the tornado paths. It looks so ominous on the map that I have been worrying about you! Take care and keep your phone charged! grammadee, I hope your spud day went well and that you are feeling better and getting a little time to yourself. Linda, sorry about the sunburn but it sounds like such a lovely day. I look forward to getting out of this house soon!

Good morning Pokeys. Happy Sunday! Glad you are safe, joyfulnana. A Saturday morning crop would be wonderful, kitbop, but I am sure you will be much too busy with moving for the next few weekends. justjac is planning to drive up here on May 11th for some crafting, so maybe we can set something up then. Hope your sunburn is not too bad, Linda. Sounds like a lovely day, though! Thanks, nylene. Potatoes are in the ground. I am feeling well. Just a little tired. Next chance of alone time will be after dgs heads off to school tomorrow morning. I will watch your video then, kellyr21. As if I didn't have enough on my mind this week, I am trying to locate a photo I remember taking of ds on his motorcycle last fall (I think?) Have done search function on my phone but it doesn't turn up. And have searched my current camera card. Ds remembers my taking the photo as well, but neither of us could pinpoint the date. He thinks I took it on my camera (as do I). Maybe I took the photo earlier than we thought and it is on a different card. So frustrating to "see" the photo in my mind's eye, but not be able to put my fingers on it printed or find it anywhere electronically... Should probably take my own advice and QUIT LOOKING FOR IT! Things seem to come to me more readily when I am not in search mode. Right now, dgs is working on a Mothers' Day card and then plans to spend a little time with Grampa. This afternoon we plan to drive to town to attend a "jamboree" where my brother and his wife plan to perform.

joyfulnana - glad you aren't in the batten-down-the-hatches area. S.Ontario gets a couple of tornados every year too. We usually get a few watches/warnings here, and there have been 4 times that we grabbed all the animals/kids and hunkered in the basement while a particularly nasty storm went thru. My aunt/uncle had a tornado go down their street in the 1980's - their house was fine, but most of the neighbour's were not and they had a very full house of "refugees" afterwards! grammadee - I work May 11/12. And you are so right - I will probably not have my scrap room functional for at least 2 weeks. It's presently about 1/2 moved. I'm going in order from least important to most so that I can scrap as long as possible. I completely understand that frustration when you can't find a photo. Hope it shows up! Linda - that sounds like a lovely day! Today I took 2 full loads to the new house, took both dogs for a long walk, and made a huge pot of chicken ravioli soup to get us through a couple of days while we're packing. I had NO spices/add ins since they're packed, and was very pleased with how good it tastes with just salt, pepper, and lots of onion and garlic.

Just popping in to say hi - I'm currently fighting with my sewing machine as I try and finish a skirt for DD23's birthday early next month. My usual machine is under the weather and I'm not used to sewing on my mum's old machine and ...it shows.

Good Monday morning, Pokeys! At least it is still morning for me... Linda, I hope your sewing machine has been whipped (or cajoled) into shape. Glad your contractor adventures are done for awhile. I am waiting for a call from Telus. Our internet has been really spotty with the "hub" they sent us last year. And after daily calls for a week (some days there were more than one call) from me, they have graciously decided Friday to send out a technician/installer free of charge to mount a new receiver high on the TV tower behind our house. But of course they can't do that until they "speak to the contract holder" which is dh, even if he has told Telus several times that I can administer this account. Dh is in the house now, but whadaya wanna bet that there will be no call until he is off somewhere far from a phone? GRRRR.... Hoping your moving is still going smoothly, kitbop. But no matter how smoothly it goes it is still a massive job. Hope you can take a little break from work work and moving work. Can't have you getting sick again. Grampa took dgs to school this morning. I will need to pick him up afterward. Dd is going to let me know if the first soccer meet up is actually scheduled for this evening: her latest info indicated that first practice would be Wednesday, but a different message had said jerseys would be handed out Monday. Hoping I don't have to hang around town for two hours just to pick up a jersey... Tuesday/Thursday there will be baseball practice, so I was hoping to start supper here before going to town, then bringing him back here for a sit down meal. I found my photo! It was on an earlier camera card, taken in the spring instead of the fall. Part of my frustration was that I could not find camera cards for a few years, but I have now rounded them up and popped them into labeled compartments in a card storage case. I was still a bit worried cuz there was one year still missing, but I realized that my old camera still had a card in it. Mystery solved! My memory would work alot better if I didn't *think* I would remember where I put stuff away...

Good Tuesday morning, Pokeys. I got some time this morning to play with paper, so I cobbled a quick LO together. Have just a couple more hockey pages to finish off my Winter album. I am itching to get started on travel pages--our trip to Orlando, ds's family trip to Phoenix, and another ds's family trip to Hawaii. And I have some cute pic's I would like to scrap of the boys playing football and baseball last weekend. Thought I would drop my last couple of LO's in here. I love how your sneakers turned out grammadee. Actually I love everything about your Brooke page. Here are a couple of pages showing a tidy part of my craft room. I still need to clean my desks off before I can take a picture of the rest. Here is the final page of my Women’s History Month notebook.
