What a nice upgrade grammadee ! It sounds wonderful. Wow, 6 pages! The walking, and lounging on the terrace sounds sooo peaceful. That is the weirdest feeling of it being the middle of the night at 9:30 PM, or feeling like it's the next day when it's late night/very early morning lol. Linda I'm not keen on longer videos either. What I need is a video I can listen to, but not necessarily need to watch. Maybe I need a Shimelle random rubbish mash up lol. Your pages are lovely, and your clusters look great! nylene , I can only imagine not knowing which way you go for sure. I would be so frustrated. I AM frustrated for you lol. I'm so sorry for you loss. (((hugs))) That sounds like a long drive, I hope there is someone that can ride along and share the duties with you. Don't worry about the crop, take your time traveling and be safe. kitbop I hope your storm was a fun, good storm. I love a good thunderstorm that isn't the very dangerous kind. Every morning the weather says a chance of storms in the evening. Every afternoon it says "enjoy a clear evening before storms move in tomorrow night" The storm hasn't come lol. Right now the entire sales team (4 of them) are going to rotate time with me on the phones. And we are actively looking for a replacement. It's odd how smoothly this week has gone, there haven't been a lot of unfinished things popping up from him. Maybe because he wasn't doing much to begin with lol. My boss will be doing the training, and we've talked a lot about how things can be different with the next person from the get-go. Mom is doing pretty well, she is tired, but that's expected. Otherwise things are going along. I hope to see some of you tomorrow! I hope you'll be popping in for a bit gramma. Sending you good thoughts and big hugs.

grammadee have a fun visit. I haven’t heard anything about ticks, but I’m a little out of the loop unless I see it on Facebook. kitbop even without AC our house is cold in the basement, nice on the main floor, and hot upstairs! I do run a portable AC upstairs because otherwise it would be too hot to scrap. nylene I hope your Silhouette files work out. The new website sounds like a challenge. joyfulnana I will see you tonight. Linda I love seeing your cards, especially the bee one. I’ve been doing a colour a day daily pages challenge in a 4x6 notebook and adding in flip flaps. Last weekend was my nieces’ dance recital but this weekend I am home and hopefully have time to be crafty.

Happy Friday! Hope you all are doing well today. I have had lots of virtual events this week. Classes, seminar, summits, whew! LOL! linda I am registered for the Scrapbook summit, too. I haven't checked out the classes yet but did pop in a few of the live discussions on YT. I hope to circle back tomorrow and see some of the classes. grammadee- Sounds like you are having a good and relaxing time at the hotel. I hope you get lots of pictures and enjoy it all. joyfulnana- How cool to make blankets for the family. Are you doing any special colors or patterns? nylene- Waving hi and hope you are feeling stronger each day. Cheering for you! linda- Wow, you are doing a great job with all your layouts and cards. I liked that gatefold card. So pretty! Nice seeing you in some of your pictures. kitbop- Awesome you have central a/c now and just in time for the heat. I didn't know it got that hot in Canada. Is your new house in the same city as your old house? Stay cool!

Thank you justjac - I had fun making them. I really like your colour journal - so pretty and I'm always a fan of monochromatic! Thanks kellyr21. I haven't watched too many of the videos for the summit - just the ones that caught my eye. Sharing today's projects for nyleneI'm planning to join the crop tonight so hopefully can get a couple more done then as well

Good Morning Pokeys! I had a good time last night with Linda, justjac and kitbop. Almost finished that dang layout lol. I'll be able to get it finished today. I've got a gift card for Mother's Day at a shop downtown not far from where DS2 works. I'm going to see what I can spend on and surprise him at work. He'll like it lol. Otherwise just the same ole Saturday chores, laundry, groceries, etc. If I get really ambitious I may drive up and see Mom tomorrow. kellyr21 the blankets I'm making are soooo super simple. They are each three colors of chunky repeating stripes using the most basic knitting stitch. Great for working one while mindlessly watching TV. Perfect for brain drain days lol. Linda I absolutely love your pages! I spy that pink upside down camera on that paper. I heard Shimelle complaining about that camera on a recent live lol. Each page is so different from the others. I love what you've done with that mini book. Are you putting photos in it, or will it be more of a mini journal? I hope everyone has a good weekend! Some rain here off and on but comfortable temps.

Good morning everyone! Off to do groceries and other errands but hoping for some scrappt time later. I think I should be able to make at least a couple more pages from the kit that grammadee inspired me to put together. It would be nice to "kill" it but we'll see. Thanks joyfulnana - I like how different they all turned out as well. But it's definitely reminding me of how many layouts I can actually make with a collection kit and some cardstock and that I need to buy MUCH less

My goodness, I leave for a day and am suddenly way behind. So nice to see so many of you popping on the thread. Linda, I love your layouts. That first one of DIY inspires me to put together the photos I have of DH in the shop that have been sitting for weeks on my desk. I love all your papers and the cute embellishments. Did you just put that kit together from your stash? They are all so different and all so pretty. I especially love the gingham and pretty florals. (Your hair was so long then.)I think I would have to be more organized to pull together a kit. I just seem to grab from drawers, or from the scraps on my table. Your layouts are all beautiful. I love your Christmas shaker card! grammadee, I can't believe you can get up and put 6 (count them 6) pages together in a morning. That's at least a month's worth to me. I am glad you are enjoying yourself. Hope to see you on a Friday night crop soon. justjac, your coloring challenge sounds right up your alley. I love your pinks and reds. Are they going to be swatches for ink coloring matches? I have never done flip flaps, but that looks like fun. kellyr21, good luck with the scrapbook summit. I hope you and Linda learn some new fun techniques. BTW, it finally got HOT here and our AC went out! Luckily our DGS just started his own HVAC business and came the next day and fixed it! joyfulnana, glad your mom is progressing and glad you don't have to train a new employee. What colors are the blanket you are knitting now? I am not a knitter. I can crochet, but I can't keep track of all the loops in knitting! Sorry I missed the crop last night, but I took off my sling and tumbled into bed when I got home. Tori was able to rearrange things and drove us all day which really saved my shoulder. It started raining hard about half way home, so I was very glad to not be driving. The funeral was very nice. The good thing was that there didn't seem to be any bitter feelings and everyone seemed glad to be together. Her siblings went out of their way to talk to each of my siblings and thank us for keeping her a part of our family even after her divorce from our brother. That was very healing. Good feelings all around. I am hoping to get a couple of pages done this week. Waving to all the Pokeys and wishing you a great weekend and a productive next week!

Did you just put that kit together from your stash? the papers and stickers were all from an Echo Park Collection kit A Day in the Life that was sitting unopened in my stash. I just added cardstock and some Pinkfresh alphas and enamel dots that fit colour-wise. I typically scrap by pulling stuff from the stash to fit the photos so this has been a bit different...finding photos to work with the stuff instead. I'm so glad that the funeral went well and that there were no hard feelings. Divorce is hard all around even when it's the right thing for the couple. I'm especially glad that Tori was able to drive you - I was quite worried about that long drive with your shoulder still doing so poorly.

Hello. Happy Saturday! The second ceremony finished awhile ago (for the hockey academy grads). Back at the hotel waiting for the girls to come over for pizza and a swim. I am frustrated that I can’t get my camera and iPhone to talk to each other to share photos. If an electronics store is open tomorrow, I may take both down there when I go to print pics. We have a shared iPhoto album but I can’t upload from my camera Dgd loved her scrapbooks. Got through just the first half on Friday.

not as keen on this layout - PP with a white background is harder to use for me (florals being the exception). Photo is from 2010 - that little tuxedo kitten - is Mini who joined the crop last night. He's 14 now and the only survivor of the litter. final layout from this kit - tomorrow I'll (hopefully) get to scrap with some different papers - I did use a sketch and add some print and cuts from a Scrapbook Fun Summit class

PP with a white background is harder to use for me I think I understand what you mean - it certainly makes my backgrounds feel "busy" - but your pages look great - your solid matting gives a good break between your photos and the pp. Dgd loved her scrapbooks. Got through just the first half on Friday Congrats to the grad! You've created the perfect gift - she'll keep it forever for herself and her memories but think of you every time she sees it. Waving "hi" to everyone: I'm off to work and feel like I'm leaving pokeys out but I'm thinking of you all!

When do you head home grammadee ? Hopefully you were able to get the tech communicating ok. I fly to Calgary tomorrow, then drive home Tuesday. As for tech issues, I took a Uride to Walmart to print pics this morning, then walked to London Drugs (about 1.5 km) where the sales clerk found a card reader that worked with my phone, then opened the package and used the reader to copy the grad photos onto my iPhone. it was a nice morning, so I thought I could walk back to the hotel (another 3.5 km). But after a little over a km, I stopped for lunch. Decided to look through my photos, and realized that HALF OF THEM WERE MISSING! Called Walmart and discovered they had another envelope for me. I then gave up the idea of a longer walk and hired a Uride to drive me back there and then to my hotel. finished a few more pages today. Shared them on the DSW thread, but will upload to the Gallery and share here after I get home.

safe travels Monday and Tuesday for you grammadee. I'm glad that you got the tech issues sorted and the photos printed (and in your hands). I'm guessing Uride is like a taxi or Uber/Lift? Glad that you had it available to you. I'll go check the other thread for your layouts!

Yes, Linda. Uride is like, or maybe IS Uber. I had never used Uber or anything like it before, but my ds was getting us around with Uride this weekend, so when I was on my own I decided to get that app.

Gorgeous page nylene. The photo of the pen steals the show and is embellishment by itself! Have you ever included an actual wood piece from his shop as embellishment?

gramma, oh, my sweet friend! I am so sorry that you have had a rough time. I'm glad you have family around and your animals to keep you company, but my heart hurts for the grief that I know is always there. Big hugs and prayers for you! Thanks for your kind words on my layout. Are you still working long hours/days at your job? I hope you will be on the crop Friday night. Linda, thanks for your sweet comments. I have had those photos on my table for months, but they aren't colorful and I just couldn't do anything with them. Then I saw your DIY page and decided I could add a bit of color, but the story needed to be told. Thank you for the inspiration I get from your layouts. I love all the cute background papers you use for your kitty pages. It's obvious that those kitties are loved and appreciated. That OA teepee page is wonderful. I have always wanted to watch a teepee being erected. What a great experience. Great job on the corner cluster including your title. grammadee, what a precious photo of your DGD enjoying her scrapbook gift from you. It will be a prized possession that will be enjoyed for years to come. She will always appreciate your time and talents and love for her. I hope you have safe travels today and find all well at home. Any chance you can get on the crop this weekend? I am missing you! kitbop, has your foot healed enough that it doesn't hurt to walk? I'm so glad you are settled in your very own scraproom. Hope you are enjoying your new home and are feeling more settled. How is your sickly kitty? Any news of the other one? I hope he is safe and loved wherever he is. Thank you for the comments on my page. I have never included wood on my pages about DH, but I could put one of the segments on this page. They are thin enough. The photo doesn't show the colors well. The purple heart wood is a deep purple and the zebra has pretty dark markings. I need to try to get a better photo. We had Card Club this morning. It was so much fun to get together again. We scrapped and chatted for 2 hours. I needed the visiting!

nylene - I'm glad you had crafty time with friends - so needed! Hope to see you Friday night. grammadee -welcome home. Hoping you make it on the crop also. I'm glad your SIL will have some at home time. DD and I had tea and cheesecake this afternoon and chatted - it was really nice. DS called this morning as he was headed to bed (he's many time zones away right now) - he'll only be home about 2 weeks between this adventure and leaving for the next which he'll be on for the rest of the year. That complicates our trip plans because he was planning on taking leave to come down with his sister and the cats and house sit with DD17. We're still figuring out a plan B - maybe DD17 will get her license which would make it easier. She'll be 18 right before we leave. And more importantly - it's not easy on DS to be away so much - and it's hard on DD24 as well since she also doesn't drive (there are buses though and she has learnt to Uber)
