Right now, I dont think I need the star mini kit. I will make my own little star journal spot with an eyelet. What is the black and white striped thing? A notebook?

Thank you so much for posting a picture as I gave up Instagram over a year ago and I do miss it during DD time. I really appreciate the photos!

I channeled my inner Miranda Priestly when I saw the sneak… “Stars? For Christmas? Groundbreaking”.

I channeled my inner Miranda Priestly when I saw the saw the sneak… “ Stars? For Christmas? Groundbreaking”. I just rewatched that movie and thought the exact same thing! lol Edited to add, I do like what I can see. Looks like a very traditional color scheme, but I have a lot of 49&market that would pair well with red/green/black/kraft.

You can't make this shit up.
Ali sent out an email about DD and 'click here to see a sneak' === and the link takes you to the new travel collection. Geez.

Yeah, i’m assuming she means the background image that that text is written on. It’s kind of shadowed out, but if you zoom in you can make out a spread of the collection. To be honest, it looks like a whole lot of rehashed stuff to me. That Holly, sprig printed paper off on the right hand side looks like a reproduction of one that was in her old kits from HSN days.

I was just rereading it, and maybe the link is for us to scroll down and follow them on Instagram. I have no clue.
Edited to add: I am liking what I see in the background of the picture though. 😍

Yay! I am liking what I see a lot. I definitely need the green felt alpha, among many other items I see so far.

I actually like more of what I see in the background image than the actual sneak. I do think the color palette is versatile. I really liked having a broader, colorful palette last year. I also like the idea of felt letters - I see a “D” so assuming they will have either an alpha or the word December? I have the digitals from maybe 2013 that have a very similar palette so it might be really neat to be able to use those together. That would make me very happy! I am not a fan of the wonky scalloped ovals so I am hoping this is the end of them! Maybe I will find some other way to use them in this collection, but I just tossed the ones from WITL. I am on vacation, but I will definitely be sitting down when I get home and reviewing my album from 2024 to see what I did and did not use. I will also go through all of my current supplies at some point soon and assess what i know I want to use again and what might work with the color palette as they share more sneaks. The best thing I did last year was some similar prep. Just made it so much easier to use both what I already have and what I decided to buy. And honestly, I kind of love the prep process . I really hope I like more of what they share. If not, then it will really come down to what is in the main kit vs individual products to make a decision on what to buy.

I'm sorry for all of you waiting on product. I'm annoyed and slightly angry that all of these very expensive products I have purchased from Ali come with next to no inspiration. The Dogs and Cats was a huge disappointment. Alis WITL, huge disappointment. Yeah, I know here classes are all sorts of inspiring but at the price points for her products, I expect the inspiration to be there. It's frustrating.
I already decided I'm using the 4x6 album from last year for this year's DD. All 3 of my kiddos are off to college and won't be home until the 16th of December at the earliest. I'm very much looking forward to a low key, calm December. A 4x6 will be perfect. I adore starts but the sneaks aren't enough to convince me. I will probably buy the PP kit as the scale of her designs tends to work well for smaller albums.
Layle's kit isn't my style. Far too many fonts going on there but I'm glad she has something as an alternative for AE.

They are adorable! If the shipping to the land of oz wasn't $34 for ONE PACK I would get them!

I am once again 50/50 from what I can see of the sneaks - I am planning on a stash year but we will see once the items are actually listed out so I can look at them in full. Side note, is it bad that I am more interested in the kraft box that the collection comes in than the actual DD collection each year? I hope they do a physical journaling card (3x4) set this year as an add on - the embellishments are great but I like using these in my PL and I never have enough from the DD kit for PL and DD.
Also looks like the main motif will be SWANS this year, VERY SIMILAR to the doves in last years kit (I was not a fan but I know a lot of people liked them!) See very light grey paper in the background of the sneak pic.
Maybe this year I will go with a star shaped theme for my album - I have never done a shape based theme for DD so that would be an interesting take!.... still thinking if this is plausible and might have to start pulling out my stash to see if it is possible/gives me enough to work with. The album I plan on using before I buy another 2742745 in the release and stash them is a very old cream AE DD linen album from my stash, and that coupled with the star pack sneak seems to be a similar colour tone.

Where did you see the swans? Hi Texas Scrap , the swan paper is on the far right of the picture of the collection - it is a very light grey with white swans and star and moon symbols on it. It is just above the green felt "D" in the picture. I have TERRIBLE eyesight so am able to pick out shapes and forms from abstract pieces... a super power?!? Now hoping it truly is a swan motif!!! If it is not I am going to blame the horrendous eye sight

It’s hard to not see the swan once it’s noticed… I guess it could be something else? Weird to have swans mixed with moons and stars together in the same print. I think the vellum pockets are really cute. I love green.

I actually am feeling like scrapbooking my 2024 DD Christmas album now as I am getting excited for reveal. I have it all the supplies together with some of the photos already printed. I am behind in DD, but I will catch up someday - the last few years I have had a lot of deaths in my family and other hard times, so I never was truly feeling it, as my mom loved Christmas so much and it was hard without her the last two years. But...I am feeling like working on it. I will also do a tribute to my mom as she was definitely the heart of Christmas for us all. I remember others having done that and reading about here. ![]()

I wonder if swans are referring to the 12 days of Christmas? Otherwise, I don’t get the inclusion. And I love swans, it’s one of those random things that grab my attention and make me buy it for no good reason. Same for paper with deer and chickadees.

Crate Paper Merry Days has had swans in the past. Not my thing, but swans are coming back big in home decor.

Otherwise swans would be a pretty random motif! Not that that has stopped scrappy designers generally, but I feel like they're much more deliberate with Christmas - Christmas llamas, perhaps, but generally no Christmas tigers, mustaches, or chandeliers...

Swans are so my jam.
My other hobby is miniatures and I put a lot of swans in my dollhouses. I have a growing collection. There has not been a swan paper printed that has not made its way into my cart.
I did not buy the last star kit as I had everything in it already in my stash but this one is looking good. I also love the 3" circles they just sneaked. Fun.

I have a fairly strong bird phobia, and especially anything with a long slinky neck is a firm NO WAY NEVER.
Continuing to not feel overly tempted by anything yet.
