That was my thought too. Otherwise swans would be a pretty random motif! Not that that has stopped scrappy designers generally, but I feel like they're much more deliberate with Christmas - Christmas llamas, perhaps, but generally no Christmas tigers, mustaches, or chandeliers... Dear Lord, please don't temp them to add those motifs! Quoting myself, but I ran into TJ Maxx this morning and what do I see? F'ing swans. Swan bookends. Swan planters. Swans on painting. A swan pillow. Please, please, please no swans in scrapbooking. This is what will push me over the edge and I'll never get my albums done.

Looking at the mini, the one thing I really notice is it's a bunch of repeats. We've had the gold foil quote on 6x8 paper, we've had the plaid, we've had the multicolor Bah Hum Bug, we've had the oh what fun quote in the handwriting, we've had the 'Nice List' chipboard + the December Daily 202__ chipboard (which I dont mind in this one instance).
Maybe I've just too many DD but this doesn't feel new + fresh at all.

I'm really hoping we have a physical kit from Elif Sahin or dare I say...from Kelly Purkey. I would really like some variety. Otherwise, I may just go digital this year.

Not excited about the mini kit. I need to pull out my Christmas stash and look at last year’s album. I also have a lot of craft supplies like felt, vellum and colorful cellophane to get creative.

Every year I see people (last year it was Lisa during a sneak session with Ali) refer to Liz’s “must have December Daily 20xx chipboard piece”. I’ve seen people say that’s the whole reason they buy that kit. IT DOES NOT EVEN SAY DECEMBER DAILY. It just says December. Sorry. I’ve been holding this in for a few years. 😅

It's horrific. I don't mind vintage, when it's well done, it is lovely. I just don't think it mixes well with the clean bright white. The vintage is SO yellow. This is an easy pass for me. Probably the first time I haven't bought plastic pieces since she introduced them.

Not with that cringe combination of bright white and grunge vintage!

I actually like the vintage as I have been shopping for my December Daily album items already on Etsy and I wanted a vintage vibe look, these go perfect with my look. But I can see where other people are not fond of that esthetic.

It even has that lovely 1982 20 years of chain-smoking, nicotine yellow vintage to it. 🤣🤣🤣 I can smell the mix of pine, paneling, and Strawberry Shortcake. ETA…. I’ve been telling myself that I will work on my Christmases past album that I’ve been mentally planning since that class. It’s possible I will buy these, and use the white based ones for current, and those yellow ones with some old pictures that have yellowed, or were never great to begin with.

I love that shape, but not a fan of the vintage looks. I will say it looks better now on my laptop (less yellow) than it did when I first saw it earlier today on IG on my phone. Makes me nervous for the rest of the offerings and the main kit...

It might be perfect for that Or if not, at least you have an idea of what might work for getting those old stories into an album…

I do not like those plastic shapes AT ALL. I don’t like the design or the actual shape. I was relieved when I saw it since I really don’t want to buy much this year. So far they are making it easy for me…
Liz’s kit looks boring as heck. Plaid like last year but worse colors to me, just regurgitated sameness. Another easy pass.
Where they get me is damn contributors using the products during the boxing period and things I KNEW I didn’t want made it into my cart because of their creativity. Looking mostly at you, Pam Baldwin!!!

I like the shape and the typed words on white. I need to see the vintage ones before making up my mind on whether I love them or not, but I am not minding them. I use only white on layouts usually, but I am sure I will purchase them because I love adding this shape with a staple to large photos.
Last year was my first year not purchasing Liz’s kit. I have so many from other years. I am liking the photo frame type item I am seeing in it, and that will probably push me alone to purchase her kit.

I think I don’t want something or I need it and then I see someone use it in a super creative way, and I have to have it and it goes in my cart. Smh

How is everyone adhering these plastic shapes besides stapling them?
I've tried redline tape, which holds most of the time, but not always. Liquid glue, Aleene's Tacky glue & Glossy Accents, not at all.

The only ways I’ve done it is tiny attacher or use the hole (on it already or make my own) and use bakers twine or ribbon to loop through another hole such as with another tag or even on a photo or 4x6 card, etc

That's a good idea, paget! I never thought of that.
Has anyone heard if there will be a delay in shipments or if product is on time to arrive? That's going to be my biggest factor in what I buy.

That's going to be my biggest factor in what I buy. That’s the million dollar question and I hope everyone gets a clear answer before committing to any purchases. I would be concerned about the impact of the end of the de minimus exemption for all countries on Aug 29. I’m imagining the administrative backlog of processing tariffs/fees on all packages arriving in the country, big and small, might completely f-up the customs process, not to mention the post office and couriers. I don’t know if anyone knows what impact this will have, or if the administration will flip flop or delay when the shit hits the fan. I’m no expert, but if the product isn’t already on shore, I wouldn’t trust that it will get through customs on time.

I love using my sewing machine for scrapbooking and do regularly. Now I will sew these on my pics. TFS.
