You're TOTALLY misunderstanding me. AT THIS POINT IN TIME, it WILL take BOTH sides to make things right. At some point, we ALL have to resolve ourselves to letting go of the past and LOVING each other. That will take commitment on BOTH sides of the aisle. To attempt to do anything else is going to make things worse, not better. I don't know what Trump meant when he said "there were good people on both sides in Charlottesville." Maybe he meant the people in Charlottesville who were aghast at what happened - BOTH black and white. As long as there are people who can't or won't look ahead and be committed to making things better, then the hatred will simply continue. There definitely are white people who hate black people simply because they're black; and black people who hate white people because they're white. Until people like that are willing to put the past behind them (yes, BOTH sides) and come together in unity to make a better future, a better future simply won't happen.
