Hi all - I’m looking for WDW and Universal themed Christmas supplies. I have a lot of the traditional red yellow and black for WDW, but I need some greens and blues. 🙂

Has anyone ever done a runDisney event? Or been at Disney during an event? I'm thinking of a half-marathon next year (since this year's are all sold out) and would love any information. Seems to be challenging to get a spot - sounds like you have to register right when it opens for registration. Do you run during the day? A lot of the pictures seem to be runners in the dark?

I did the Tinkerbell half marathon back in 2016 at Disneyland and we started running at I think 5 a.m. We ran through the parks and then parts of Anaheim then finished in Downtown Disney. To get a spot in the 5 or 10K you have to sign up the minute they open registration because those go right away. The half marathon is a little bit better but you should still sign up the day it releases. I was actually signed up to go the year before but at the time of the race I would have been either giving birth or close to it so my doctor didn't think it was a good idea. It was a lot of fun but I was DEAD at the end of the race, so if you were planning on going to the parks after the race, DON'T DO IT! We did went the day before and that was enough for me.

I don’t consider myself a digital scrapper, but I decided to do a digital scrapbook of our 2022 Disney World Anniversary trip because it would be faster, and I wanted to record the memories before they fade.
Mpix recently had a 40% off sale on their premium books. We spent one day at the Universal Harry Potter parks, too, so I did that day as a separate, smaller book. Our Disney book was 100 pages. I created my pages in Photoshop, although Mpix has various options you can use online.
This was our first time ordering from Mpix. The books arrived today, and both DH and I are blown away because their premium books are such high quality! The pages are thicker than the two photo books I had done at Costco in the past. We are thrilled with the results.
I still prefer traditional scrapbooking, but for as many photos as I took at Disney, added to the ones we got with the Photopass, the digital books really made more sense. Hopefully I’ll still get the trips done in a traditional scrapbook format, but I’m still working on a traditional album of our 2017 Family Reunion at Disney World. I wanted albums of this trip before I’m too old to enjoy them.
Anyway, Mpix did an absolutely amazing job!

I was one of the fools who waited in the on-line queue for seven hours last week to get Magic Keys for my husband and me. Looks like I'll be doing more Disney layouts this year!

I'm in South OC and had a key for a while. Debated getting one again but doesn't make sense with our schedule at this time. I haven't been to DL/DCA in a year and am having withdrawals.

Now, our daughter, son-in-law, and 5-year-old grandson have keys and go often, so we'll definitely get our money's worth joining them.

Maybe this has been covered, but I’ve been looking at the Disneyland/California Adventure Photo package pictures, and while I still think it was worth getting, the Memory Maker package that Disney World offers gives you a lot more. They gave us scenes of the parks, character photos, professional fireworks photos. California had nothing like that. There were a few specialty features added to a few photos the photographers took, but very minimal. Since our trip to Disneyland/California Adventure was a partial family reunion, it was still worth getting the photo package, but I was disappointed that Disney California provided far less.

I just purchased a one day Memory Maker for our trip this month to WDW. When our whole family (5 groups, 21 people in all) was in Orlando for a week several years ago I had the Disney Photo Pass for the whole trip and got literally thousands of photos from them.
I have a question I prob should be asking Disney staff. Since this time I purchased just a one day Memory Maker, can I choose which day it kicks in? Or will it automatically kick in the first time we walk through the gates? I ask b/c we want to make one day especially special for my dgs's birthday and that was the day I wanted the photos from, when cast members and mascots are wishing him happy birthday and we are springing for a character lunch.
We haven't made reservations yet, but wondering if we should just do that the first day we are there just to be sure?

We haven't made reservations yet, but wondering if we should just do that the first day we are there just to be sure? Fairly certain I had to activate it. However, based on what I was just reading from Google + DisBoards, you might have an issue if it's tied to your account and you use a PhotoPass Photographer because that can also activate it. So, if you plan to use your MagicBands that are associated with the Memory Maker, it could kick in your first day. If you can make the reservation for the first day of your trip, that's what I would do if you're hoping for those photos. However, double check that specific meal has PhotoPass Photographers because the ones we've been to have NOT.

I haven’t been on this board in a while, in a paper crafting lull, but I’m in the thick of planning our Disney vacation this summer and I knew y’all were the perfect group to come to with my questions! Today’s questions:
MagicMobil or MagicBand?
MIL has read a bit about issues with MagicBands not staying on well and people losing them. But my phone won’t be the camera phone and I never have it out when out and about. I don’t even carry it with me at home, we’re not close.
Which do y’all prefer and why? What issues have you run into with either?
Memory Maker
Obviously photos will be a huge part of this for me, especially with this likely being the last time the entire family vacations all together like this. But I don’t want to have to wait in a long line to have our photo taken. The last time I was there was 1997 and it wasn’t an issue, but I’m assuming things have changed. Also, I can’t find a comprehensive list of where the photos will be taken. Including what rides. Any clue where I can find that? just read this page and it brought up another question. Our group is all linked together. Can we all use the same pass? And if so, would the owner of the pass have to be there to scan in every time? There is one park day we likely won’t be with the group. Also, we are not doing the parks every day, but if one of them uses it while I’m not there, if that’s possible, I’m assuming that means I’ve lost a day? And I haven’t even read anything about specific number of days, I thought it was for the whole trip. Is that a DisneyLand thing?
I checked the app but can’t find answers to these questions, am I missing something?
I’m considering waiting until we’ve had a chance to look at the photos before I decide to purchase. Besides the additional $30, is there a downside to this?
Any must have photos? even some not well known ones? We are going to try and recreate a photo or two from our first trip, that’ll be fun. We likely aren’t going to Magic Kingdom, and if we do it’ll be in the extra evening hours so the castle pic isn’t looking good. But that’s okay.
Any and all comments welcomed, even if they don’t pertain to these specific questions!

We were at DW, so this information is based on that. I use the app and we get MagicBands. For the MB, I buy these little plastic things that keep them more secure. My DD lost her MB on our trip in 2022, but we quickly realized it and went back to Soarin' and it was in the Lost and Found. The app (when you have all the people linked) will have all their tickets in your phone and whoever else in your party gets the app. If you guys are linked, your photos will show for everyone. This is how people actually buy the Memory Maker and do a group share. I digress. If you don't want to carry a phone, then just wear the MagicBands with the plastic things that help keep them on. Here's similar to what I get, you can get them cheaper on AliExpress if you have time: MB Protector. The only issues that everyone faces when entering the parks, regardless of the ticket type, is scanning their finger. Seriously, remind everyone to REMEMBER which finger on which hand they scanned and they will use it every time. So many people were all "uhhhhhhhhh...." my children included. :X Here is a link to the DISBoards where you can read way more than you ever wanted to about PhotoPass and Memory Makers: DISBoards. Some characters have times, specifically in EPCOT. You can plan to be there ahead of time and wait. The fastest way to cut down on wait time for a must see character is if they have a dining thing. It's not cheap either, but you will see the character(s) but they might not have a PhotoPass photographer. If you download the Disney app now, you can mess around in it and get a feel for character times and locations. For instance, Gaston in Magic Kingdom, is always in the same spot. However, his times vary. The link for DISBoards gives you pretty specific info. It's a 30 day Memory Maker, unless you pay for only one day. It starts the first time you scan your MB with a photographer or ride a ride with the feature. Memory Maker has never been a waste of money for me. You mentioned you wouldn't be in MK, but the Purple Wall is my favorite. There's a "Bubble Gum" wall in EPCOT though, so you could go there. I don't know what your dining situation is, but we did 'Ohana for the first time this last trip and we want to go back whenever we plan our next. It was fantastic! We went for breakfast to see Stitch and Lilo (Mickey & Pluto, too) and it was just the best. We've done Toppolino's and Akershus, as well on different trips. We were there in January. ^.^

OH, as a double whammy, we take a photo of our hands with our MB on, like what sports teams do?? Hands in kind of a thing and then freeze while I snap the photo? I have our MB from all our trips in a sealed mason jar on my bookshelf as an additional souvenir, too.

Which do y’all prefer and why? What issues have you run into with either? We all wore Magic Bands. It was a splurge, but made life so much simpler. We never had them come off. We were able to put the mastercard on our disney account, so the whole party could just use their own magic band to buy food or souvenirs. If we wanted to leave the kids in a food line, and do something else, they could pay that way. Everyone paid us back when we got home...but it simplified the parks, disney springs, and even at the resort. Added bonus: watching my adult kids (19/21/23) and DH choose a magic band before we went was surprisingly fun and helped us get into the spirit of letting our inner child loose. But I don’t want to have to wait in a long line to have our photo taken. In really popular areas, there are many photographers, and often we just walked up. We only once stood in line (and this was for a primo view over the Star Wars area and was maybe 10 minutes). The photographer in front of Toy Story land had an insane line and we passed. If we saw a free photographer, we stopped. We also watched for the photographers with the special effects as they were a fun bonus. I would 100% do memory maker again. The cost was for the whole trip, and ALL our magic bands gave us access - the kids would use their bands to get me photos when they were apart from us. But remember - those same photographers will take photos with your phone too if you ask. So you can get the photos without paying. The ride photos are not all that special, and sometimes don't make it to your account too. The best ones were from MK (Tron photos were awesome) and the Epcot Cosmic Rewind photos were OK. You almost have to know where the cameras are to make the most of ride photos, and that was a level of research and effort I didn't have the energy for! These are some of my favourite photos Calendar meeting mickey by kirstendrew, on Flickr My most disappointing photos were from meeting Olaf. I love Olaf...but there is no photographer, just an autotimed box that takes pics! That cannot capture a pose or moment And I didn't take out my phone to have the attendent take some that way, but should have.

Thank you dawnnikol, so much helpful information! DH and I don’t have children so we won’t have to wait for characters, but a couple of groups in our party might want to. I’ll go check out the thread you linked. I’m also using a scooter so I’ve been on the DisBoard’s disability thread all afternoon. Will look into the BubbleGum wall! I will have my phone for emergencies, but I won’t want to have to keep getting it out of the backpack DH is carrying, annoying! Good thought about scanning our fingers. I’m surprised everyone doesn’t just use their pointer finger on their dominant hand. MIL and DH don’t have fingerprints anymore so she said they’d have to use their licenses. I had read that one (Ohani) was great, was it just the characters or also the food? Most of the group is going to want quick service meals, but we’ll be there for a week so DH and I (foodies) are eating on our own a few times. Once when we go see Cirque @ Disney Springs we will be eating at Morimoto afterwards. But I am open to any recommendations. We are specifically looking for a breakfast/brunch for the day we check out. And when everyone else goes to MK we will do whichever park the majority of them are cutting out, I suspect Animal Kingdom or Epcot. So we are looking for nice lunches/dinners there. Sit-down or Fine Dining. We are considering have snacks at all the different worlds in Epcot for lunch and Le Cellier for dinner. And Tippins and one other for dinner at AK, but not sure about lunch. Any and all food suggestions/must have snacks welcome!

I have our MB from all our trips in a sealed mason jar on my bookshelf as an additional souvenir, too. Love that! Adding to my list now. We may be the only ones in our group if we do MagicBands, everyone else is attached to their phones. My inner child stays loose and I already know I want a purple band!!! We are all in a group together, with my in-laws. Everything is under their name. But when we’re shopping and eating I’ll want to charge to our own credit card. Is that possible without physically pulling it out? Love your Mickey photos, and the use of Main Character Energy! Oh, I’m sure we’ll wait for the Star Wars one. We also have pics with Chewy from our last trip which are especially awesome because DH is over a foot taller than I am so the juxtaposition was great! So we’ll be looking for him too. Good to know about the ride photos. Those were the ones I was most interested in seeing. I live for thrill rides, and DH, not so much. So our often opposite expressions are hilarious. I’ll be leaning my head back laughing and he’ll be holding on tight leaning forward with his eyes half closed If we do end up at MK during extended evening hours Tron is the ride we want to do most. Definitely have to be at fingers ready for the lightening passes! We are probably the only people left on the planet that have never seen Frozen, I haven’t even heard Let it Go all the way though! But we do have 3 kids that will definitely want those pics so I will pass that info on to their parents. Thank you kitbop !

Any and all food suggestions/must have snacks welcome! Sit down breakfast: both Ohana and Chef Mickeys were very very yummy, but are expensive and our family don't eat a lot so it feels a little wasteful. I'd love to have that food again, but at a place I can order a smaller portion and pay less! On the go breakfast: cinnamon rolls at Gaston's (MK) or the market at AK were fantastic. Next time, I want to try Tiffins. Quick lunch - highly recommend Columbia Harbor House at MK. one of our favourites. Another very expensive but worth it supper/show it was Hoop-de-doo review. Reservations necessary. Great show, good food. What surprised us most was the unlimited beer...only 2 of the 5 of us drink, and when they plopped a pitcher in front of us we were "what are we going to do with all this???" Finally - HIGHLY recommend Yak and Yeti in animal kingdom! Not cheap, but not the worst, and the food was great and a little different. Great break in our day. We chose 2pm so we could ride rides while other people ate, and then have a rest in the afternoon heat. I would 100% do this again. Gotta have a reservation. Snacks - popcorn bucket. It was fun to have popcorn to munch on! Dolewhip, especially the floats. Heaven. We would share them and had 1-2/day. Bakery snacks everywhere, so yummy. Easy to keep filled up without a meal. We had to be careful to leave room for meals! If you go to "Fantasmic" at Hollywood Studios (OK, no if. Go. it was my favourite experience!) get a cotton candy at the snack stand. They are HUGE, not expensive (I want to say $6?) and the wand in the middle lights up and changes colours All the snacks at Epcot from the stands were excellent. We had pineapple skewers sprinkled with tajin (ended up going back 3 times) and steak skewers and chocolate cake and poutine. I can't even remember all the food. But the ONLY "meh" things were: the nutella/fruit waffle at AK that was all hyped up (good, but nutella is nutella), the pretzel/cheese from the ubiquitous vendor cards (they were good. but not special) and the mickey ice creams (again good, but not special). And the one place we would NOT eat again was Docking Bay 7 in Galaxy's edge. The food was too unique and not for us (and we are adventurous eaters too!)

kitbop I imagine the cost is for the character dining experience. But most of our meals will be relatively “cheap” so we don’t mind splurging for a few. Yak & Yeti was the other one we were considering and couldn’t think of the name. We are planning on going back to the room for a bit in the worst of the afternoon sun & heat, but if we can’t dining in sounds like a great idea. We have a couple of months before most of the reservations open (I read some of the Disney Springs restaurants use Open Table and that’s 90 days IIRC), so I will check out these menus and make some decisions in case reservations are needed/recommended for some of them. We saw the HDDR last time we were there and it’s one of my fondest memories! Dolewhip is on my list, and so were the Mickey Bars as a “must have” snack. But even though it may be unique to DW if it’s not delicious it’s not must have in my book! I’m going back and forth about the popcorn. We’re both love popcorn, especially caramel, but are also both diabetic so we are trying to limit those type of items to meals when we are also have lots of protein, or for food we can’t get elsewhere. I’ll have to think on it some more. I think we’ll be with the whole family for HS so we are unlikely going to be able to pick but I’ll try and steer us way from Docking Bay 7, thanks! I was looking at, what was it, Holga’s Hut for lunch if we are over in that section. And if we’re alone then considering Brown Derby, if that’s the name, for dinner. My group does not like to plan much in advance (hello? Disney!) so I’m planning on having recommendations for a to avoid to insert into the conversation when we are deciding. That’s the best I can hope for. I wonder if they let you bring food from other quick service restaurants into other quick service restaurants. That way we can eat with them, but can select a less generic fare than most of the children will want.

I had read that one (Ohani) was great, was it just the characters or also the food? We loved 'Ohana for the food and the characters. Just take a gander at the menu if you might be interested. I can't say that we each ate enough for the $49/person price tag, but it's Disney and we did want to meet Stitch, so it was worth it for us. Disney Springs has loads of good photo ops, too. We like to enter at 9AM and hit the spots before the stores really open at 10. We are considering have snacks at all the different worlds in Epcot for lunch and Le Cellier for dinner. And Tippins and one other for dinner at AK, but not sure about lunch. Any and all food suggestions/must have snacks welcome! I went to France and got a baguette almost every day we were there. I'd just munch on it (WITH THE BUTTER) and walk around or I'd eat it for breakfast the next day... I love bread though. >.< Totally second the popcorn bucket, too! Nobody told us the actual benefits of this magic, so let me enlighten you! You can get an awesome souvenir (the refillable bucket), you can pay a discount for refilling it, and the popcorn is DELICIOUS (and vegan, if you care). I got the Figment popcorn bucket in January and love, love, love it. There are different options and they change, so just check them out before your trip. My inner child stays loose and I already know I want a purple band!!! Purple is also my favorite. One year we just did plain, then we tried the printed bands, then we got vinyl off Etsy to customize, and this past year we did plain that we painted ourselves in honor of Festival of the Arts. You can always pay for your stuff separately, if you want, but the MB will be tied to the card attached to that room. We also have pics with Chewy from our last trip which are especially awesome because DH is over a foot taller than I am so the juxtaposition was great! So we’ll be looking for him too. That's fun! Chewy is always there, just check the app or brochure for his times. My most disappointing photos were from meeting Olaf. I love Olaf...but there is no photographer, just an autotimed box that takes pics! That cannot capture a pose or moment And I didn't take out my phone to have the attendent take some that way, but should have. It's the same at Anna & Elsa, it's bad. If we do end up at MK during extended evening hours Tron is the ride we want to do most. Definitely have to be at fingers ready for the lightening passes! We scored a Tron VQ - which still meant a pretty decent wait and the next time I just paid because I did not want to wait. There seemed to be plenty of availability for the pay option, if that's a choice for you. It was a lot of fun and the photos are also VERY fun! DH's favorite food in HS is the Ronto Wrap. Mine is the turkey sandwich + tots at Woody's. OH! DH and the kids also loved the ice cream in the brioche in France, but the line can be long. It's next to the bakery for my bread, so it was easy to split up for us. I'm trying to think about everything, but have been working on the album so it's kinda lost in my haze of that. When I go back through, I'll come back and post if anything pops up! When are you guys going??

Thank you dawnnikol! I’m a bread fiend too so that just got added to my list. And sandwiches are my preferred lunch so I’ll look into that as well. Maybe with enough options picked out of good eats in each of the parks we can get a great meal even with the families of picky eaters and food intolerances and non-foodies! Did the vinyl stay stuck? That could be fun. But I’m disappointed about having to use the cc on our room. DH’s parents are treating all of their kids to rooms and park tickets (and plane tickets if we wanted) and I definitely don’t want to accidentally charge something else to them! We are also considering gift cards, so maybe that will solve the problem. Just less convenient. We are making it a whole road trip so we’ll be in Jackson, MS on the 4th of July (no idea what we’re doing there yet), Atlanta for a couple of Braves games before we hit DisneyWorld July 7th-13th, then a day trip to Tampa for a baseball game then Universal on Sunday, then Biloxi for Beau Rivage and Mary Mahoney’s on the way home. We haven’t been on a real vacation or road-trip since COVID so we’re itching to get on the road! I never would have picked July because I’m so sensitive to the sun, heat and humidity but we have a lot of children in different school districts going so needed to work around that.

Did the vinyl stay stuck? Eh, it was okay. Certain vinyl seemed to hold up better, like the glitter kind stayed stuck, but the printed kind was looser. This could've been my own user error in applying, but I can't be 100%. We used POSCA markers on them this last time and then sealed them with a glossy varnish. If you go that route, definitely use more varnish than you think! We are also considering gift cards, so maybe that will solve the problem. Just less convenient. We used gift cards, too. I had got some Costco digital cards prior to the trip and had the barcodes on my phone, you can print them out, too. It's not as easy as the MB, but saved a little money, too. I do NOT envy you being there in July. Whew!!! We also drive, so I hope it's a nice drive for ya'll. We do Universal, too, so if you need info on that just holler. I never would have picked July because I’m so sensitive to the sun, heat and humidity but we have a lot of children in different school districts going so needed to work around that. I'm sure you're used to packing stuff to stay cool, but cooling towels and fans ahead of time will also save you loads of money. And batteries!!! I will also say that one of the best organizational tips I ever received was to buy an over the door shoe rack - it's just plastic slots and metal hooks to hang. We use it to help organize snacks, ephemera, and snacks. Because it hangs on a door (we use the closet door), it also saves valuable counter space. What hotel are you guys staying at when you're down there? We've done a VRBO, Caribbean Beach Resort, The Dolphin, and Boardwalk Inn.

Thank you, when I get to the planning Universal part I will definitely take you up on that. We only have one day for both parks and all we know right now is 1) good luck with that and 2) our priorities are both Harry Potter sections and the Marvel section. We are switching to a hotel less than a mile from Universal when we finish with Disney. Will go there after the baseball game in Tampa, then be there for Universal and The Kennedy Center.
I didn’t even think about the Kennedy Space Center until I saw it on the DISBoards yesterday so we changed the trip home last night and decided to do that on Monday instead of staying in Beau Rivage and gambling. Now we will just stop in Biloxi for Mary Mahoney’s lunch on the way home. We’ve been to the space center in Houston, no way could we miss that when we realized how close it was.
We have the cooling towels (have you ever used them straight out of a cooler with ice and melted ice? Heaven!). The scooter will have a fan or two but I’ve also read good things about neck fans. I’m not sure I’ll love them actually sitting around my neck, but I’m willing to at least try it. Have you used one of those? Oh, batteries are not on my list let me go add them right now!
We are staying at the Beach Club Resort, so right next to Epcot, I am excited about that! So we can walk/scoot there. I am trying to find out of the Skyliner/Gondolas accept scooters and if so that’s how we will get to Hollywood Studios from Epcot International Gateway. And I think we’re going to hire a special Taxi for our day at Animal Kingdom. I remember the buses from last time and I understand they’ve only gotten worse. Add in needing room for the scooter when that’s limited on the bus, I’d rather save time and pay for a taxi. This is definitely a place where time is money! Last time we stayed at The All-Star Sports’ Resort while they camped at Fort Wilderness. We were babies back then and it was cheap and we loved it, except the bus to get to meet up with them. It wasn’t too too bad, but I hated worrying about them having to wait for us.
I have an over the door hanger for the shower, and remember reading about them for a cruise, but that’s a good idea for the room. Room organization really impacts my stays so thank you for that! I think there is supposed to be a long counter in our room but I need to verify that. I have a slim 4 ft table I am actually considering bringing as well. I expect my back and SI joints will be on fire so I’m trying to avoid bending over when I don’t have to.

The absolute hottest month I'm willing to go to DW is April, so no experience, but I hope they help you! I hate, hate, hate being hot and humid. Then add people? Ewwww. We are staying at the Beach Club Resort, so right next to Epcot, I am excited about that! So we can walk/scoot there. I am trying to find out of the Skyliner/Gondolas accept scooters and if so that’s how we will get to Hollywood Studios from Epcot International Gateway. We walked over there when we were waiting on our room at Boardwalk in January! You absolutely can ride the Skyliner in your scooters, the people I have witnessed getting on and off have made it look easy peasy. I hope that is the actual case, because that will be invaluable to you for transportation. The Skyliner was down this past trip, so we just made do with the bus and Monorails (we had park hoppers which also helped), but we do not have mobility issues, so that could obviously be a factor that didn't hinder us. As for the bus, the very first bus is usually the one we're on and there's always room. Coming back after is another story though. Depending on how early you guys are ready to rock and roll, you might save the cost by taking the bus to AK but then taxi back? We walked from Boardwalk to HS and EPCOT, but used the bus to get to AK and MK. Sometimes we'd hop the boat back from HS. If you are going to watch the fireworks at EPCOT - Luminous - not sure what it is now. The best spot would've been near Norway/China for viewing, but we were in Japan to get a jump on exiting with the crowds. We'd asked a few CMs their opinions and they greatly varied. :X I absolutely think you can do Universal, especially those specific areas, in your one day. I'm a Rope Dropper though, so that definitely can change things. You'll have longer hours in summer though, so that's an advantage we didn't have. I'll give more details when you're ready! Have a good one!

dawnnikolRight!?! Talk about my worst nightmare! Shows you what I’m willing to do to spend time with these people. In all seriousness, we originally told them no because of the heat and humidity. But MIL kept making suggestions when she called like the scooter, added time so we could have a day’s rest between parks, going back to the room in the middle of the day (which we did last time in May and it was a lifesaver), doing non-outside activities like spas (still not open, right?). Anyway, I could tell how important it was to her, and realizing this was likely to be our last big group trip we decided to just deal with it the best we could. I figured worst case scenario and I keep getting faint, or actually fainting (happened in DFW in the 80s so I don’t have high hopes), I love to read and can hang out in our nice room while he spends time with his family. Maybe look for a local scrapbook, jewelry or knitting store. I didn’t even consider the possibility of the Skyliner being down! Will make backup plans for sure. I hope it’s not as I love gondola rides. What time did you get out there, how long before early opening, to be on the first bus? Our plan is definitely to be at the parks before they open. Cooler and less sun to deal with. Also, with such a big group I suspect it will be slow going for us so it will give us time to do more. I’m adding all of these notes to mine, I am going to be so well prepared, thank you!

dewryce My Quick Quote isn't working again, so I'll just tag you. You should be fine about the Skyliner UNLESS there's high wind or storms, having a back up is never a bad idea though even if you just have it in the back of your mind in case. The Skyliner was down for our trip because of scheduled maintenance. We tried to get to the parks an hour before they opened. I know that seems excessive, but on the days we arrived 30 minutes before RD, we were back a long ways. Since you're staying at a Deluxe, you also might score a night or two of Extended Evening Hours, that would definitely help for the heat and crowds. It'll absolutely make getting up the next day hard, but it might line up with a rest day, etc.
