Okay, family left super late last night so now I can get back to my album after work this week. I left off somewhere around day 15.

Anyone out there still plugging away? I am trying to knock out a few pages each morning with my coffee. I’m ready to move onto different kits but not clue what kind of project it will be.

Does planning on plugging away count? I have all my photos edited, still need to drop a few into templates. Then print, then get to work. I made the hard decision to just print all my full page photos at 6x8 via Persnickity. I typically use a size that is the same as outside dimensions of the 6x8 page protector. It will save me tons of time verses dropping each photo into an 8x10 template. I'll either mat the photos on white cardstock or use little tabs to put them in the album. I'm not 100% thrilled but it will do. I'm anxious and excited to get started.

Yes, me! I finished up though the 19th yesterday. All of my photos are printed and tacked to the page where they will be laid out, so it’s easy to pick it up and work on a page at a time.
I’m using my Cocoa Daisy TN and December planner kits. I had some numbers in my stash from last year”s Target dollar spot that are a perfect match. I hope to finish in about a week. I look forward to putting it away and moving on to something else, but it’s fun reliving the memories for now.

I mostly finished my pages (I did eighteen 12x12 layouts to add to my Christmas album), but they are all waiting on the enamel dots I just ordered. My pages are fairly simple, though, and have multiple photos on most layouts.

Well, I haven't even started. Or decided if and when and how I'm going to start. I'm not too stressed out about that though. I might just let it go or do it in July. I hardly even wrote responses for JYC either.
(btw I'm at that point I always get to with Shimelle and JYC - I totally understand why she hasn't shared the final videos, they won't upload, she's really busy with her family, new collection, Creativation, etc. And maybe no one else cares by now. But I REALLY want to see how it came out in the end, and now it won't be available until after she gets back. So bummed. Stupid internet!)
But anyway, I did make a photo book, a year in review/highlights book for my family, which included about 10 spreads of Christmas festive fun. I had tons of good photos from family outings, which made me rethink my vague plans to make a smaller notebook style album. I could still do that, knowing that I have the full stories/pictures documented elsewhere, but I would have to drill down to figure out the specific highlights that I wanted to have in my special Christmas album, and right now I don't have the time or energy!
I might try to share the photo book pages I have made here (if anyone's interested even though they're not crafty and it's January) or on the challenge share thread (probably).

I haven't watched them yet so not sure if they show the final flip through but thought I'd let you know in case you haven't found them yet.

I finally stopped checking the forum daily on Friday when she assured everyone on Fbk Live that an email would go out when they were uploaded. Obviously she didn't quite get that far before she had to jump on her plane. I can understand that. I can finally get JYC closure <3 Yay! Sending you a giant internet hug

To all my fellow DD/JYC family-I hope you are having a happy January. The inspiration here is amazing. Can't wait to start again in August. Oh, wait... Maybe I should finish 2019 first!

Watching Shimelle’s last JYC video just confirmed to me that although divided pocket pages are easy (ETA I mean convenient), I HATE them! It looked like if she turned her album upside down every single card would fall out. I know she uses a Selphy to print so nothing is true 4x6 but I couldn’t tolerate all the gaps, and the way the thicker embellishments push the pages up and out. And the 4x6 cards never stay in place as the pages turn, at least mine never did, and I was printing true 4x6. Ugh ugh ugh. But I’m glad to figure out what I don’t like, even if I’m not exactly sure of what I like enough to want to make.

I have finished 31 12x12 pages and have put them into the album. Thinking I {might} finish a couple of additional LO's, but all of the "essential" photos are there. Am starting to stow away my Christmas scrappy supplies today, but will keep out a small kit to scrap those possible LO's. You can see my pages on Flickr HEREI want to go through the pages here to see your DD's. So much inspiration! Thanks so much for the prompts, sleepingbooty, and for those of you who shared your books.

Still chugging along but I miss all the DD chatter. At a crop last weekend, I picked up a set of Close to My Heart Cedar and Pine pocket cards for $5. The cards compliment Crate Paper Snowflake nicely.

Photos are printed and album is well under way. I'm on days 9/10 which are a mishmash of stories I want to tell/techniques I want to try, and very random photos of nothing particularly "Christmas", so I'm struggling a big. It'll come to me, the rest of the days are well thought out on paper and in my head.

So who finished her album? THIS GIRL!!!!!!! I’m still putting each page on to rings but it is done. My “little” travelers notebook grew to epic proportions. I’d guesstimate there’s at least 40 pages. I just kept telling stories until I felt done!!

I'm still only up to day 6! I do have photos printed and notes + planning for each day/spread through to the 25th though. I had planned on working on and finishing my album in January but my husband has been on holidays and the kids have been at home so I've had VERY little time to spend working on anything crafty.

I’ve almost decided on what to do! I don’t know when I’m going to have time to do it, but I’m almost ready to buy supplies. Lol. Might be doing Christmas Journal in July. I’m happy though because I’m going to use a broken album that would’ve gone into the trash otherwise. Fingers crossed I can pull it off.
(TBH I’m almost not sure I care any more)

I had an epiphany moment when working on mine. I simply told my stories in the same format I do everything else. Whatever I took pictures of, that’s my story. Ali’s “daily” thing and Shimelle’s “prompts” just aren’t for me. They almost block my creativity. Which is probably why my book has 70 pages, yes I counted this morning.

That makes a lot of sense to me! I guess some people don't take as many pictures as we do... but I sort of do the same thing as you. The pictures I take represent things I want to talk about/have some feelings about. Some of them fit in with a daily thing (because I take photos most days) or with a prompt, but mostly I just start with the photos too.

It’s all about the pictures for me too. My December journal consists of a photo and one word title for nearly every page, with a little bit of description. I appreciate prompts for ideas, but it’s still about the picture. I’m just not a big journaler. Getting one or two sentences down is the most I can usually muster.

YES! I was looking for this thread yesterday but couldn’t find it, so I figured I was the only one still plugging along and everyone else had moved on to spring and other fun projects. Thank you for bumping this back up! I did basic foundation pocket pages for each day and now I’m going back to add embellishments and finish them up. I’m now up to embellishing December 11th. At the rate I’m going, I’ll be finished just in time for the 2020 December thread to start.

I am still chugging along, too. I am on Day 9. I’ve done some super crafty pages this year, so it is taking slightly longer than usual.
