I’ve always loved my pets as much as anyone, but there is no way I would keep a pet who had bitten eleven people. Especially if some of the people my dog had bitten were secret service agents who had sworn to put their lives on the line to protect my life.
Are the Bidens waiting for that dog to rip into someone’s face and permanently disfigure them before they do something about that dog? I just can’t imagine working in an environment where you had to worry that at any minute the boss’ dog might turn on you and attack.

I read The Dinner by Herman Koch which was set in Amsterdam. The unreliable narrator is having dinner with his wife, his sister in law and his brother, a famous politician. As the book unfolds, you learn the purpose of the dinner.
It’s one of those twisted books that you can’t stop thinking about. What would you would do to protect someone you loved? Are some people born evil? Are we all capable of committing evil acts if pushed far enough? Can a young person commit a horrendously evil act and then go on to lead a normal life?

elaine I’m so sorry you are still feeling the effects of Covid. I hope you feel better soon. We had a wonderful time at my nephew’s wedding but we missed a lot of great football games! My son did sneak off during the reception and found a tv so he could watch the second half of the Norte Dame-Ohio State game. He was a disappointed Irish fan. Great win, Elaine! My Oklahoma Sooners beat Cincinnati 20-6. It seems we have a solid defense for the first time in years! BOOMER!

I’ve been on several girls’ trips to Santa Fe.
The Santa Fe School of Cooking offers great restaurant tours.
The shopping is awesome-lots of fun boutiques. You could spend two full days shopping around the plaza and not see all the shops. Also, strolling down Canyon Road and visiting all the beautiful art galleries is fun, even if you don’t buy anything.
There are many great museums including the ever popular Georgia O’Keeffe Museum.
There are lots of fun day trips. On my last girls’ trip we went rafting. Bandolier is another fun day trip.
There are endless things to do in and around Santa Fe including skiing and the opera. I can’t imagine anyone getting bored.

My Oklahoma Sooners play Cincinnati at Cincinnati. We are favored to win the game.
My second favorite team is Norte Dame (my son is a grad). Norte Dame has a huge game with Ohio State Saturday night. We are going to a wedding (who gets married during football season? 😂). My son is in the wedding. I’m sure he’ll be looking for a tv at the reception.

I used to watch RHOC, but I stopped a few years ago. Today I was reading about Shannon’s DUI and saw a picture of the cast and was shocked to see that Taylor Armstrong was on the show.
She spoke at a YMCA fundraiser in Oklahoma City about seven years’ ago which I attended. I really was impressed with her speaking ability and her passion about helping victims of abuse. She spoke in depth about how she had made a terrible mistake by appearing on RHBH. She said she knew she had to leave the show when one of her old high school friends said “Taylor, I don’t know who that person is I’m watching on the screen, but it’s not you. I love you, but I don’t like that person on my tv.”
Taylor said she realized her friend was absolutely right. She quit the show and never looked back and blah, blah, blah. If I remember correctly, she got a standing ovation at the end of her speech.
Anyway, I guess Bravo came knocking again and she decided it wasn’t all that bad being on reality tv after all.

Not super surprised and not super surprised to see he is denying it all and blaming it on "establishment"/media/persecution. I read his statement and I thought it was ridiculous that he was blaming his problems on the media. I also was repulsed when he noted that the sexual misconduct all supposedly happened at a time when he was very sexually active. By noting he was sexually active, he was of course implying that a lot of women wanted to sleep w/ him, which was probably true. I'm sure he thinks that if a lot of women wanted to sleep with him, then all women in their right mind would welcome his sexual advances and he can't possibly be guilty of sexual harassment or assault. I think there are still a lot of people out there who believe that sex crimes are crimes of passion committed by men who can't find willing sexual partners.

I'd be thrilled that my daughter wanted to take a an extra class that she knew was going to be a lot of hard work.
I'd talk to her about why she wanted to take the course and make sure it wasn't just because all her friends were taking it or something like that. If she expressed a genuine interest in the subject matter, or wanted to challenge herself intellectually or found the teacher of the class to be inspiring, then I would do whatever I could, within reason, to make it possible for her to take the class.
I really do believe that when you are your daughter's age, a learning experience can be life changing. Even if she decides she doesn't like the class, she'll have a better idea of what she does and doesn't want to study in college.

I have never been to Yellowstone. I would really like to go and have just started planning a trip for next Fall.
I have never been to Cabo San Lucas. I have friends and family who go there regularly, but it really doesn't appeal to me since I'm not really a beach person.

I've been called for jury duty twice and actually seated on a jury once.
The jury I was seated on involved a juvenile case. I was shocked I was seated on the jury since I am a retired lawyer. You would have thought we would have been a jury that was a defense attorney's worst nightmare-it included a professor from a small, very conservative Christian college, the CFO of a major hospital, and a retired attorney who had practiced banking law (myself), among others. Even I would have thought we were sure to find the juvenile delinquent (the equivalent of "guilty").
However, in a matter of about 2 minutes we came to a unanimous verdict of not delinquent (not guilty). We all agreed that the kid was probably a member of a very violent gang and was definitely headed down the wrong path in life, but the state had simply failed to prove all the elements of the crime. The kid's mother showed up in court and seemed very concerned, so I hope and pray she can figure out how to help her son get his life back on the right track.
Anyway, I had a positive experience sitting on a jury and I'm glad I was able to serve.

Since you brought it up, those cowbells are the most obnoxious thing in the history of college football! Next is the tomahawk chop by FSU. ![](http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r481/2peasrefugees/Smilies/laugh.jpg.gif) I kinda love the cowbells and the tomahawk chop and all the sights and sounds of college football (maybe because I seldom get headaches). In 1983, Oklahoma went into the third quarter of the Oklahoma-Oklahoma State game losing 20-3. The game was at OSU and they escorted OU’s band director out of the stadium at the beginning of the 3rd quarter because they claimed he was on the sidelines w/out the proper credentials. Partly in response to their director getting kicked out of the stadium and partly to spur on their team, the OU band played “Boomer Sooner” for the rest of the game (an hour and a half) with no break, much to the annoyance of the OSU fans. The Sooners came from behind to win 21-20. Oklahoma coach Barry Switzer credited the band for the win and awarded the band the team ball.

I read The Art Thief by Michael Finley. It’s a true story about a young unemployed man living in his mother’s attic in the 1990s who, with his girlfriend’s help, become the world’s most prolific art thief. He walked into art museums all over Europe and walked out with the pieces that caught his eye.
It’s a fast read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
When I was in the middle of reading the book, we visited the NC Art Museum. It’s a wonderful museum, but I couldn’t stop thinking “I wonder if I could get away w/ stealing that piece.” 🤣🤣🤣

I think the difference between the Texas Alabama home and home series and the Oklahoma Georgia series was that the Texas Alabama series was over before Texas joined the SEC, while the first Oklahoma Georgia game would be played before Oklahoma joined the SEC and the second game would be played after Oklahoma was a member of the SEC. If Oklahoma and Georgia played the second game of their series in 2024, it would have created havoc with the SEC schedule.
I was a little late throwing in my 2 cents (and I’m not even sure my opinion is worth that) because we’ve been travelling. After getting absolutely drenched watching Notre Dame play North Carolina State on Saturday in Raleigh, we headed to Crested Butte, CO for our dear friends’ daughter’s wedding on Sunday night. It rained in Crested Butte too!
I watched my Oklahoma Sooners play SMU on tv Saturday night. We won, but our offense struggled. I hope the rumors that the offensive coordinator is holding back some great plays to use against Texas on October 7th are true. We will need some trick plays if we are to have a chance of beating Texas this year.

My Oklahoma Sooners play SMU in Norman Saturday evening.
I’ll be at the North Carolina State-Norte Dame game in Raleigh on Saturday afternoon. My son is a Norte Dame grad and my son in law is a NCS grad. The entire family will be at the game. I’ll be wearing a neutral white t-shirt, although in my heart I’ll be cheering for ND.

This plus sized blogger posts “mother of the bride” dress suggestions a couple of times a year. She always says her suggestions are “appropriate, but not frumpy.” Formal Plus Sized Dresses
While you are not the mother of the bride, I think these styles would work for any guest at a formal wedding. This was originally posted back in April so some of the dresses are probably out of stock, but it might give you some ideas.

My Oklahoma Sooners are off to a good start w/ a 72-0 win over Arkansas State. We probably won’t know much about our team until they start playing conference games. Our non conference schedule is very easy. We were supposed to play Georgia in a home and home series, but that was cancelled when it was announced Oklahoma would be joining the SEC next year.

I think Oklahoma’s position in the top five can probably be explained by the fact we have so many semis passing through the state each day due to the fact that I-40 and I-35 are major trucking routes and they intersect in Oklahoma City.
Having lived in the Houston area for ten years, I’m surprised Texas didn’t make the list. I used to drive I-45 from Houston to Dallas regularly and I’d get tailgated driving 90mph in the fast lane.
