peachiceteas I left ctk a few months ago. I am so glad I did because I got the first three kits this year and they were basically identical. And since then, they still look like a regurgitation each month. I’ve been subbing to cocoa daisy since March each month has a very distinct theme. But at the same time, the items that last awhile like washi, will coordinate over several months despite it being completely different on the whole. I felt guilty leaving Trina because she was super nice but at the end of the day her kits were just not inspiring me. I had no idea you had jumped ship but I haven’t been around much the last few months! I didn’t think I’d see the day you quit CTK. You’re totally right though, I’m not feeling inspired by them anymore either. I think I’ll get next months and then send my cancellation notice after my kit has shipped and look into other options.

Im kinda liking this new kit. But I really like the tag stamp for the stamp sub. I wont buy it but I do like it. I agree. I'm liking what I can see as well. I hate to say it but I have been tempted to resub to SC as of late. Something about the Citrus Twist kits just aren't sitting right with me at the moment, and I'm looking for a new pocket scrapping subscription. I'm not interested in Ali's stories or SBTM, but I may give SC a go again. In the mean time I'm turning to digital cards and printing them at home to get my fresh card fix.

Did anyone pick anything up in the past kit component sale? I grabbed two packs of journaling cards and a sheet of chipboard shapes, and used the 20 off code sleepingbooty posted earlier in the thread. £18 posted to the U.K., I am pretty happy with that.

The more of these destination classes that pop up, the more I appreciate my privacy at home. I’d much rather spend my vacation dollars making memories with my family. A weekend with strangers? He’ll no! Give me a weekend in my craft room with a fully stocked fridge in the kitchen, Netflix on my iPad and my husband popping his head in every hour with ‘whatcha doin’?’ any day of the week!!!

I’m in the UK and I shop exclusively at:
US stores Citrus Twist monthly subscription Occasionally the Ali Edwards shop but rarely Amazon
UK stores Hey Little Magpie is my go to Craftie Charlie if Hey Little Magpie doesn’t have what I’m looking for but rarely purchase here anymore

I use memento tuxedo black on Epson glossy paper and I love it. It worked well on the canon glossy paper I used to use too.
I always disliked StazOn when I tried it. For some reason, I just couldn’t get crisp impressions. I’ve had no problems with the Memento tuxedo black.

I'm thinking I will sign up just for this month to see what it's like and also because I think the first month of any new sub is usually the best....Remember SC's 1st stamp from their sub? I swear for the whole year, that was the best one, and the one I still use a lot...Not planning to sub mtm cos I agree, can just get free prompts off the web. Uhmmm yeah. Signed up. 2 prompts per mth, 1 today and the next one on 1st. You get a png/pdf of the prompt (handwritten in a new style ) and pretty similar to the story kits, with some ideas around the prompt. Some writing tips - which I didn't find that helpful/hasn't been said before e.g. no right or wrong, find your rhythm.....Then a short story based on the prompt. The 1st prompt was "cup". Ali wrote a story about how the colors of her mugs have changed as her family has expanded. So plus points - if you like following along with Ali, then you have more opportunities to jump on the Ali wagon, to tell stories that I don't expect to be covered in a future story kits. But otherwise ...save your money....I think sleepingbooty can give us better ideas & tips if she hasn't already done so!!! I had the idea of getting a dictionary and opening it on a random page and selecting a word as a journaling prompt. Of course there will be words completely unsuitable but just select a new page. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ali is doing exactly that with prompts like ‘cup’.

Her announcement has inspired me to look for free journaling prompts online.
I like the idea of journaling twice a month in a notebook, but I’m not paying $5 for what I can get online for free.

dawnnikol It was wonderful! Our honeymoon was my first time visiting the US and it was fantastic and delicious. The Oregon and Californian coasts are simply beautiful. mom Thank you so much. I’m doing some supply shopping right now to get myself ready to scrap. Feeling pretty overwhelmed at the thought of scrapping all those photos though! sleepingbooty Oh bless you our favourite Frenchie! Not sure how to even attempt scrapping thousands of photos! Happy to be back though. anniefb Thank you sweet lady. Tell me what I’ve missed. What’s everyone’s must have product or collection right now? I didn’t get chance to go to Hobby Lobby/Jo-anns/Michaels when I was in the states but I spent $300 in Sephora to ‘make-up’ for it! I am so glad you had a wonderful honeymoon! Do you mind sharing where you went in Oregon, that is my home state. You, sadly, haven’t missed much. Shimelle has a new collection that ACOT showed off to early so that was yanked, our friend sleepingbooty is sharing sneaks of Christmas collections, but other then Becky Higgins going off the deep end again it has been pretty quiet. Yes of course! Our journey through Oregon was mostly the Pacific Coast highway going South towards California. We visited lots of the coastal spots like Seaside, Cannon Beach, Ecola State Park and Yaquina Head. We went in land to Portland for a few nights too. In Oregon I just found myself constantly in awe of its beauty, even when it was raining. I would love to go back in the future and explore more of the inland towns and cities. Thanks for the scrappy update! I was shocked to see that there isn’t a crate paper summer release beside Maggie Holmes available at my online-LSS!

I don’t believe for 5 minutes that there are only ‘10 or less’ of the majority of those items remaining. Do not try and tell me you only have 10 in stock of those damn art prints. Add a couple of zeros and I’m sure you’ll be in a truthful ballpark. Ps. hello to you lovely ladies! Getting close to the wedding day! I remember the huge weight that was lifted off my shoulders after our wedding! And looking back I wish I had enjoyed the process a little more! <3 I hope I can be a little bit of the beautiful that you were on your wedding day Julie. I am trying to enjoy the process as much as possible and I haven't found it that stressful but it does tend to be other family members that ruffle my feathers every so often. Hopefully we are away from all that drama now and it's just straight into good times!

Okay, so I haven't scrapped in a few years but was hoping to get going again this year. I want something quicker, easier and smaller than a bulky 12x12 album. What would ya'll recommend, that I can actually find page protectors for? I don't want to pick a size I like and then face the frustration of not being able to find supplies. I'm def. wanting to go more Project Life style vs. just a straight up cardstock background. I have used 9x12 once and I actually don’t find it any less bulky than 12x12. The page protectors are a nice configuration but that’s where it stops for me. As an international the albums and pp’s are so expensive to ship. So for my next big album (honeymoon) I’ve decided to do 12x12 as it’s much more convenient. I use 6x8 for everything else and I love it, only downside is I do have 4 6x8 albums for 2018.

On what planet is this a good colour combination ![](http://i63.tinypic.com/10holso.png) Gryffindor colors. Let's just call it what it is. I plan to file a complaint that all house colors have not been represented in their kits. It’s not an aversion to red and yellow together. It’s that brown tone of red and the muddy baby puke yellow. Gryffindor yellow is much more vibrant. As is the red, too.

6x8 is my jam as I only do pocket page scrapping. I get so many unusable pieces with 6x6, but I like that I can slice 6x8 right down the middle and get 4 3x4 pieces.

I really like the Let's Travel line by Echo Park. I think it's the only must-have so far. Oh wow, thank you for saying this because I wouldn't have seen it otherwise. Beautiful collection! I've never really paid much attention to Echo Park but I love this line.

Does anyone have any ideas or inspiration for including photos in albums outside of pockets?
I use 6x8 albums and have done for the last three years - I love the size and it generally caters to all my needs. I am working on a project where I want to include some full size 6x4 photos (or larger) but I don't want to create a whole additional pocket page spread to include them.
Does anyone else do the same? Do you laminate the photos? And how do you attach them in?
