I'm probably in the minority but I love the inked grungy/vintage look. Stark colors white and other brights together such as stripes, chevrons or highly contrasting pattern hurts my eyes and confuses my brain. It creates the feeling of being on a spinning ride you can't get off of. Looking at it too long and I'll throw up. Using grungy paper, vintage supplies ect is not visually disturbing. I'm drawn to this look. You don't see a lot of cutesy patterns with this look. Its fascinating because I think chevrons can be so easy on the eye. I love a simple filler card with some chevrons and a single piece of chipboard. I can’t stand vintage papers/style in scrapbooking because it’s so all over the place, to my eyes anyway. I also want real vintage, not fake vintage. One day my pages with their chevrons will feel ‘vintage’ on their own.

I just want more, what I consider to be, usable elements in ephemera packs. Pinkfresh do it really well but other companies not so much.
I’m not interested in random animals, ice cream trucks or motel signs - I would like more sentiments or items that would make good elements on filler cards. More labels, more small tickets for tucking and layering etc.

I think those stickers look dated. Idk if it's the fonts or what but Pam's post didnt change anything for me. its the colours. The colours actually make them look like they’ve been left in the sun too long and have aged.

http://instagr.am/p/Bm_yt77n5Q_ Guess those circle stickers won’t go straight to the donate pile after all.... useful phrases instead of random icons/shapes/patterns like before and it works with the stamp. I am pleasantly surprised! Dont be fooled - they’re terrible quality and semi-transparent. OK on white cardstock but I wouldn’t use them for anything other than that. I wouldn’t dare put one on a photo - it would result in me having to reprint the photo!

I’ve literally not even been a tiny bit tempted
There would have been a time that the risk of being caught browsing the sale at work was worth it

Meh I think that blog post is a load of shite. It's a load of waffle that doesn't really mean anything to me.
I couldn't care less whether she shares on her blog, youtube, Instagram - whatever platform she chooses - it's the fact that what she is sharing is of no interest to me anymore. It's product pushing. Its verging on Amy Tangerine.
I still don't know what the point of the post was.

Cards can be altered. Cards can be created from a blank using stamps and one of the million techniques shown online. This is a creative craft, get creative!!! lisacharlotte you are absolutely right. Perhaps more than a monthly reward of pretty things I just need the proverbial kick up the wotsit!! if you change your mind, as a UK based gal I can wholeheartedly recommend citrus twist. Trina is a dream, I’ve never been charged customs and my order tracks all the way to getting off the plane at Heathrow and the supplies are cheap. She has incredible stamps for $5-$10 and you get an extra percentage off as a subber. Think it is 15% but could be 20!

The navy card florals remind me a bit of Lisse Street with the “circle” flowers. Not really my style at all. www.studiocalico.com/kits/lisse-street-project-life-kitThe washi - it’s a neat idea, but their execution is usually lacking; either the cuts don’t line up with the images, or they are incomplete cuts. Plus, the transparent nature of the washi circles make them get lost on the project. I used the last batch of those washi circles to hold dies in place when I run them through my die cut machine. They work great for that. Otherwise...useless. I use them to cover tiny attacher staples on the back of photos/cards so they don’t scratch my page protectors

Personally, I think we should have a game of 'whats going to f*ck up first'. Will it be shipping? Codes won't work? Product more expensive in the Mega sale vs. normal? Will we not be able to login? Will some get better prices vs the rest of the customers? Will they renig on sale prices once people have bought the items? Will people be sold boxes of junk? (Really, there are so many ways this will be a cluster f*ck). We could totally turn this into a game of Bingo.

Why would I want to purchase her recipes? The only recipes I would purchase are from you know - qualified and renowned chefs.
Bore off Becky. You’re irrelevant. Stop trying to make relevance happen.

Nothing to say about SC but here's the view from my window . Trully terrifying driving up here, think single track switchback with little to no barrier between you and the cliff edge. Thankfully the Swiss aren't crazy drivers. www.studiocalico.com/galleries/213683-tennaBeautiful!! Agreed. @northrigg that is a breath taking view!

Me too! I love ice tea! The peaches make it look extra delicious! I recently asked my fiance to stop by the peach truck to get some peaches. I really only wanted a small box of them and he bought us a half bushel LOL! I've been making peach everything for the last week. Peach ice tea is the best! And I must admit that whilst I imagine you guys probably think I drink a lot of it... I rarely do, I have to keep it as a special treat because one sip is like a drug to me and I will be in a sugary, peachy coma before I know it. I would drink it all day every day if I could. The Nestea brand is my favourite.

I think she printed and cut the pink and black label and the labels that come with the kit are those vellum-looking ones on the right. They look awful. Don't you want some of that blurry print vellum, peachy babe?... Come on, you know you want some. Mmm, so not smooth, so not edgy, so... vaseline filter blurry! Yeah, sexy, sexy. Mmm, you're going to need some of that for your bachelorette night. *Barry White starts playing*
I feel bad for butting in the peach debate to say I prefer nectarines for a totally silly reason: anyone else got full lips and feeling the wrath of the fuzzy peach skin when eating them? *puts on chapstick*
You are utterly bonkers!! Laughing a lot right now. What you need is a doughnut peach. There is a peach for everyone! They are not as fuzzy and in a really nice shape so easy to eat. Also known as a flat peach or a Saturn peach but obviously doughnut peach sounds better, especially when on a diet.

Alright, I went to pick up my August SbtM kit tonight and I just... UGH! I have such a profound dislike for it. I'm going to use maybe a few of the chipboard shapes and ONE (maybe two) card. Sorry fellow SbtMers, I'm tapping out early. I am cool with paying $20 to get out of my commitment instead of the $48 I would if I went all the way (yeah, those international shipping costs also add up). Are there any Peas who aren't subscribed to the SbtM and wanted the August kit but couldn't because of the waitlist/finances? I'm happy to mail the majority of the cards to you for free wherever you are in the world. Girl the August kit tipped me over the edge into cancelling too. I might pick up the sub again in January if there’s open spots but for now I’m happy to be out of it.

Well I’ve never visited that forum but it sounds like a horrible, judgemental place with admins on a power trip? You are making an assumption based on what others have to say and not personal experience. It is not a"horrible, judgemental place". Sometimes they do go overboard on niceness but not that much that I've seen. There is a lot of good useful information there-especially the tools forum
NSBR could be described a "horrible, judgemental place" many times. Handslapping goes on there too.
Yep you’re right. I was absolutely making an assumption on what I have heard. Shrug. But one thing that is fantastic about this forum is that people aren’t censored and banned for having a different opinion. Debates happen, handslapping happens but the rules of the forum are fair and everyone’s opinions are welcome.

I lived in Paris for nearly 2 years and can assure you that you will be able to find sulfate free shampoo. Most Monoprix grocery stores will have a nice selection. If you want a larger selection, or higher end brand then look for a pharmacy. They will have a green cross sign outside and there are several in every neighborhood. DD and I always make a stop at the pharmacies when we are in Europe because they have some great beauty and hair care items. I completely forgot about Monoprix. Perfect suggestion as they will have the drugstore brands like L’Oréal.

Well we’re staying in an Airbnb, so there won’t be anyone to except the package. We will be going to a grocery store on the first day to get stuff for breakfast and snacks, so if it’s the kind of thing they sell there or if it’s easy to find in the city I don’t mind popping into a store. I wouldn’t consider that hunting it down. That’s why am asking if it’s easy to find. If it was me, I would check where the nearest pharmacy is to your Airbnb. I feel confident they will have what you need. The French pharmacies really are a haven for beauty junkies. ETA: sans sulfates is French for sulphate free if that helps.

Paris is the home of incredible pharmacies. French pharmacies are more than a place to buy medicines/drugs - they are full of French skincare. You’ll be able to find what you need I am sure.

She also added another sneak. I guess they are selling gift packaging this year as well. She said gift tags and bags that will be available at a different time than the December Daily release. More "lifestyle" brand stuff. Typical Inked. They scream ‘straight outta China’ to me. I predict overpriced and terrible quality. That black bag looks like it would scuff and mark so easily. So far I’m not excited by any of these kits. That Santa in FYC kit is terrifying

i didn't vote, because i'd rather just have our own sub-board for challenges. can't believe we have one for recipes but not challenges I would also like a challenges board so I didn't vote. I too would like a challenges board, as someone who doesn’t participate in challenges, as I sometimes find all the challenge threads overwhelming and hard to find a thread I do wish to participate in.

When I first read sleepingbooty post, it really bothered me that KW probably deliberately started that drama for profit. But then I thought, good for her earning money via YouTube. I still think she’s acting like a whiney douche. She can whiney douche all the way to the bank. It doesn't take anything away from me, I can still copy her designs if I want and not give her credit. I can even copy and post them all over social media and STILL not give her credit. I’m not in the business so I’m not relying on clicks and followers to secure my income. However, if she had not been a whiney douche I might not be at the point where I’m going to think twice about a purchase that might make her money. You nailed it She can act like the card credit police all she likes but she doesn’t have a leg to stand on and no authority over anyone. She has no right to tell any card maker what to do. You do you!
