I got mine Wednesday. It came in a bubble envelope with no cardboard or anything else to make it sturdy to stop the mailman from folding it and forcing it into the mailbox....with 12x12 packs in the envelope. Grr! Oh man! I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope they weren't damaged! Everything seems to be ok, but I was so pissed when I opened my mailbox!

I had planned to get this for WITL, but seeing it all, it just didn’t wow me. I like the baking stamp, but I’m passing on that for now too. I’ve picked up a lot this month already (including several IACB stamps at SC).

I will not be attending any in-person scrapbooking events for the foreseeable future. I don't trust other people to follow the rules that are put in place to keep everyone safe. Too many selfish assholes running amok for me to feel comfortable in an indoor event of that size and length. Same!

I got the stamp sub that I ordered with the $10 coupon. I forgot it’s 6x8! Now to go cancel the sub!

I think we need a card from Kelly that covers shopping while on zoom! I'm quite adept at it Not me scrolling on my phone in my lap while mindlessly nodding in the general direction of my computer screen to pretend I'm still fully invested in whatever's happening on Zoom... Me too! Which is why I was fast so I could get back to the meeting!

Grabbed the vaccine mini kit, yay! Husband, daughter and myself are half vaccinated. All our parents and relatives of concern are also vaccinated, looking forward to documenting that. I would have paid full price for the “I don’t know how to explain to you...” card alone. It has become my mantra. I swear KP reads my mind. I’m not a PP subber but I’ve managed to place orders just about every month since they opened. Same for me - I bought the vaccine kit for that card alone. I don’t know why people just don’t get it! I was on right at 12ET and snagged the kit quickly. So happy it was still in stock for non-subbers!

There are TOO many good releases this month from different companies. Why does this always happen? Lol. Yep. For me it usually happens in March, but seems like the stars are aligning for April. Ugh. Decisions.

My stamp kit shipped, and I used the coupon. I actually got tracking AND a status update that it’s moved to Nashville. .
My restock stamp purchases from the beginning of the month got here yesterday. I had received a shipping notice last week, status was the label printed, but never updated until after it was delivered.

I had a work freak out end of the day. Someone else messed up ( thankfully in email, so it won’t totally fall on me ) and it will screw up my whole week. Big time. And probably next week too. I was working past quitting time & my dog was whining because I wasn’t getting out of my car. I left the work phone in the work car. I snuggled up on the couch with my pup & I opted for some therapeutic online window shopping. Shouldn’t be a problem it’s just window shopping. Until it isn’t Kerri Bradford restocked a bunch of stamps I’ve been waiting for. I bought them all. I did pause for a minute, but I bought all the stamps I’d been waiting for. I got to my cart, looked at the total, said to myself ‘F it’ I have the money who cares and hit checkout. I really do have the money, even if I hem & haw in the supermarket over which brand is 50 cents less. It’s that kind of day. And you know what, I feel good about it and can’t wait to get my stamps. Good for you! It’s something you’ve been waiting for and you know you want, so why not reward yourself? (And you have the money partly because you hem and haw over 50 cents at the grocery. I do too, so I have that little extra for some guilt-free scrappy purchases!) PS - sorry you had a bad day. I hate those. Thank goodness for our therapy animals who love us no matter what!

Does AC not have someone who really "gets" the Crate Paper brand, and they overly rely on a singular designer viewpoint? The AC designers are on multiple brand teams within the AC universe. There appears to be a lead designer who follows and fits the aesthetic pitch AC has settled on. These designers move and change over time (some leave AC altogether as well). Looking back at CP, you can see the shift between the aesthetics. You can tell one aesthetic applied to CP in say 2016-2017 then gets recycled and applied to the now defunct Dear Lizzy brand afterwards and so on. It's very interesting but you need to take a good look at all the AC brands to start grasping the repetition and changes over time in terms of design style, colour schemes and the likes. I actually miss the slightly more hip, more crisp, thinner vector-lined and white background CP days from a few years ago. Pink Paislee, however, is dead and it doesn't look like AC are interested in selling the brand. It's just been relegated to the ACemetery forever. I'm upset. This was my fave under the umbrella. I also miss the days when AC released full paper lines under their own name. They often used it to test new aesthetics, design styles, metal foil finishes, etc. It wasn't always great (or very consistent) but it kept me interested. I liked that old CP style a lot (before they merged under AC) and still have some things in my stash I need to quit hoarding and actually use. Not a fan of their recent aesthetic. I don’t like that SS and Pinkfresh have shifted to the CP aesthetic, because I liked their unique styles before - they stood out as a great alternative to the AC juggernaut of pink pink pink. I haven’t bought a single item from SS since the switch. I will still buy Pinkfresh designed by IACB, but not interested in the CP look. I’d be ok with them adding to their current lineup, instead of replacing their current lineup.

I just use the containers and lids from Chinese takeout meals. I have tons, and they work well. The lids also stack well.

I still have a LOT of WA - and yes! that spinner with the paper and the coordinating little pieces of Cardstock embellishments/cut-aparts. I also loved the brighter Kaleidoscope line. Still have a lot of that too.

If you go to A Cherry On Top, they have a bunch of old EP collection kits for $7.99. Maybe rereleasing is the new trend. At first, I thought I was on the wrong website... EP had a bunch of these old collections in their last warehouse box sale too. I picked up a few. 😉

I’m so glad she’s trying Youtube again - I definitely prefer it to FB and I thinks it’s much easier to find the videos, in chronological order too. I hope she doesn’t get negative feedback from her YT followers like she did the last time she tried it. I plan to leave some positive feedback so she is encouraged to keep it on YT!

I picked up the stamp kit for $10 (+ tax). I debated it when it first released, and did pick up some restocks by IACB. I’m so glad I talked myself out of it, but for $10 I couldn’t pass it up. Will need to remember to cancel.

I like the camping collection - it’s nice to have tents and not just campers (we do only tent camping). There are some great b sides.
Crafting - I’m not just tired of pink, I’m also really tired of the “warm” pinks and reds (salmon and tomato). Just once it would be nice to have a crafting/scrapbooking line without pink.
Witches and wizards: I picked up the first collection for HP Halloween and Universal scrapping. This one needs more variety in patterns. It’s either lots of small icons jumbled about or plaids. That makes it hard to scrap within the collection. A green and white diagonal stripe would have been a nice addition. I will likely pick up a few sheets to fill in the previous collection, but not the whole pack. I do like a lot of the b sides, especially the stars.

Here’s the framed magnet board that DH made. It’s in the center of the photo, in the back. It’s an old photo—it’s crammed full now! I love your space!

I love this idea, and I want to try a few pages in this style, but there's no room in my scrap budget for classes She actually did 2 half & half layouts on Fbk Live in the past week or so if you're just looking for inspiration pages/free process videos to replay on Fbk (not sure if you follow her there or not). Her most recent one from Eater Monday, not posted on IG yet, and this one Sorry, but totally LOL at “Eater Monday” - with as much leftover Easter ham and other stuff that I ate, it’s quite appropriate!

I am curious.... If the amount of donations collected exceed the cost of the knives, who gets to keep the extra money....Mother or Son? Someone posted here a reply from her about this issue: "She said she was going to donate the excess donations to those struggling in the food industry" So, probably her son then.

Thanks for sharing this. I have some 12x12 scrapbooks that I want to go back and add to. This looks like great inspiration. I’m doing it! A few years ago I attended the Embeliish It workshops (with the unfortunate online name of embellishit ), and I completed over 100 pages that year, thanks to the fun kits and ideas. Haha! I always thought that too! I think their website was embellishitonline. A hyphen would have been useful!

I think I will get this. Being a newbie scrapbooker the 12x12 LO scares me. I don't have FB , can this be still useful for a beginner? Will the lives or classes show up on YT? I know of several crafters who only have a FB account for crafts. They use a different name, so no one can look them up. I think a big part of the fun in her last class was seeing what others created on FB. She didn't have the videos for each page. She only had pictures and then there were links to several other sets of ideas for each sketch. It really isn't a traditional class like other people do with FB (IMO). It is 20 weeks long and is only offered on FB. Here is her explanation www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTOtcIgOkdsShe DID have videos for each page - but they weren’t typical process videos of her creating the layouts. For each sketch, she had a video where she walked through the sketch and all the variations/substitutions, then she show her layout based on the sketch and covered the details of the completed layout. While it isn’t a traditional class, it is a lot of value for the money for sure! I agree that the fb group really adds a lot of value and motivation, especially seeing what others are making.

Her IG stories, my skeptic friends. Oh my, someone's been triggered by those of us who raised an eyebrow in her comments. She reposted a quote that reads: "Thick skin. Clear boundaries. Airplane mode. [on her way to Hawaii, lol] Close friends. Self care. Strong focus. Self appreciation." Then she reposted a bright pink quote with a rainbow that says: "Be nice dammit" And finally, she reposted about the Come Together For Cari GFM with a caption reading: "A great cause I will be supporting!" Looks like someone had some extra Starbucks change to spare... Geesh, talk about sweeping her own makeshift Venmo fundraiser under the rug by bringing someone else's misery into the arena. Shift the focus, shift the focus, quick! Supporting by asking her followers to donate, I’m sure! That’s how she’s contributing, by using her “influence” to encourage others to donate. 🙄

Her class videos aren’t “live” it’s just that you can follow along with the class while it’s live (new posts each day) or do self-paced later after the “live” run. I hope that makes sense! Her class videos are edited and very polished.
I’m still deciding on this class, but I will likely sign up, if only to listen how she pronounces “half.” I love her mix of Kansas and British. 😁

My first for the month! It started with this sketch, which I am still crushing on - love that diagonal through the page! sketch with banners under photos by kirstendrew, on Flickr My layout uses the "Birthday Boy" line by Simple Stories. I'm REALLY annoyed that companies continue to make "boy" and "girl" lines. This line is a wonderful bright birthday line and I'd highly recommend it. However, there are only "birthday boy" phrases, no "birthday girl"! layout cavalcade of wonderment by kirstendrew, on Flickr Love this! How did you do “wonderment”?

The slump in SCales is not due to Chinese vendors selling a floppy acrylic version to a handful of customers, it's your own doing, wake up. We're nearing 1000 pages of eye-rolls and headshakes in here. I feel like some sort of celebration is in order when we do hit 1000. Think SC would sponsor it? Maybe if they sent each of us a Wink Wink kit, they could clear them out once and for all. ^.^ 😂 and some ABM kits too...
