Do you see anyone for your back pain? A chiropractor or physiotherapist might be able to tell you where you need support or how to alleviate your discomfort. Then that would give you at least a direction to go in regarding making changes to your chair.

In Canada it is a benefit through the Employment Insurance program. Some people pay into EI their whole life and never take out a benefit. Others have a cycle of years where they work a seasonal job and take benefits for the offseason. Some make a claim for an unexpected job loss. Others use it for one of more maternity/parental leaves. Why is one of those reasons to make a claim more valid than another? The program is set up to cover any of them and benefits society as a whole.Too many Americans either don't get or don't give a crap about "society as a whole". Where TF did we ever learn that attitude and when TF will we unlearn it and start caring about "society as a whole" like so many of our developed nations cousins do !??! THIS. Doing something “for the greater good” seems a foreign concept to many.

I hate the look of a tilted and/or swiveled tv on the wall. Especially one that is hung too high and then tilted down so it looks like it’s going to fall on you. I prefer the low profile mounts so the tv is as close to the wall as possible.
Sleek, unobtrusive, and please run all the cables through the wall. No dangling cords!!

Our special occasion restaurant in NYC is Daniel Boulud on the UES. It’s perfection each and every time we go. We took our daughter there for her 16th birthday, and friends recently celebrated their 20th anniversary there. If you can’t get a reservation in the dining room, the lounge is super cozy and has a full menu, I believe.

I love this! We also have a lab who is very smart but not so well behaved. If I took her to a bakery she would likely be greeting every customer, trolling for snacks and shoplifting.
I love that dogs get to go to bars, cafes and restaurants in Europe 😍

How easy is it to recycle the pods? If you have a nespresso store near you, they will give you a bag for the empty pods and outside the store there is a bin to put the bags in. I’m not sure how you do it if you’re not near a store. They’re made out of aluminum, so maybe just recycle them with your cans, etc?

We bought our daughter a nespresso for Christmas. She LOVES it. We got the vertuo and the milk frother as well. IMO, the coffee it makes is light years better than anything that comes out of a keurig. I don’t think the pods are that expensive. They’re just over a dollar each. Way cheaper than Starbucks!
I’d keep the nespresso and get rid of the keurig.

I had never heard of Seedlip before. I checked the site and did some reading. I LOVE the taste of cocktails, but gave up drinking many years ago, both for religious reasons and for the fact that I loved the taste just too darn much. I worried I might end up on a road I didn't want to travel. So Seedlip is interesting. What do you like best from there? I like them all. I bought the Garden 108 and Grove 42 first and took them to a weekend at a friend's lake cabin thinking they would be good light, refreshing summery drinks. They were so popular that a friend was sourcing where he could buy them near his home and discovered a store near the cabin carried them, so he picked up the Spice 94 the next day. If I could only buy one, it would be Grove. I love Mules and Grove mixed with a nonalcoholic ginger beer and lime sparkling water is a good replacement. I always see these in the store and I love the label artwork! We are definitely not alcohol free but these intrigue me.

I’m loving Ronan Farrow’s Catch and Kill podcast! I just read the book this weekend as well, and it was incredible.

Omg I’m reading Catch and Kill by Ronan Farrow and I’m having a hard time putting it down. I started yesterday and I’m half way through. He’s a great writer, and this book reads like a thriller! I have this on my tablet and hope to get to it when I finish my current book. It’s totally fascinating! And infuriating 🤬

She and the Queen carried out a number of engagements together before Meghan became pregnant and they seemed to really enjoy each others company. One thing I feel like I've seen from the Queen in the last 20 years or so is that she's increasingly allowed herself to be seen as human. She will laugh genuinely (but still genteel-ly) when she enjoys the conversation and seems to show genuine interest in the people she meets and talks with. I think she has managed to move the monarchy into the 21st century pretty well after some initial staunch tradition. I hope that makes sense - basically, I feel like she has maintained her queenly attitude while softening many of the now outdated hard edges. She strikes me as a person that you could have a genuinely good conversation with. As a total aside, I have a wonderful picture of the Queen with a friend’s father laughing together at dinner. Our friend’s father was a provincial premier at the time, and the Queen was here on an official visit. It’s the coolest picture ever. They both look to be having a great time 🥰

Whatever the opposite of hustle is....that’s what I do 😂 I’ve been a stay at home mom for 17 years to one lovely child. I look after the house and the dog and my husband works. He travels a lot. Many of my friends are stay at home moms as well.
On a side note, if I hear from one more person with an MLM dressed up as a “side hustle” it won’t be pretty 🤬

My daughter has an ektorp sofa in her room. I believe the slipcover is dark beige. It’s held up very well. I don’t think I’ve ever had to wash the slipcovers. Yes, there is one piece for the body of the sofa and then each cushion has individual covers.

I have a hot toddy recipe made with apple cider, earl grey tea, bourbon, honey and lemon that we swear by. My husband swears they help his symptoms. And after a couple, you no longer care that you feel like shit 😂

Never heard of a soup maker! I love soup and just use my immersion blender if I need to blend my soup. The last thing we need is another kitchen appliance!

I feel like the red-headed stepchild around here. I still do a drip coffee maker. I just trashed my very old Black & Decker drip maker for a Gevalia drip maker that I picked up new-in-box for $7.50 at auction. I like a good strong two cups every morning, but I'm about as old-school about it as you can get. It’s not just you! I make a pot of coffee pretty much every morning. Then in the afternoon/evening I will have a Nespresso or a Starbucks instant coffee (oh the horror, but it’s not bad if you’re desperate 😂). We have three big coffee drinkers in our house so there’s lots of options.

I hope a scrapbooker hits my goodwill because I just sent my husband there to drop off 99% of my crap!! It feels so good to have it gone.
I cleaned out the two big closets in my guest room, and organizes all my Christmas stuff. I need to keep going. I swear, my house is 4100 square feet, there are three of us, and it’s bursting at the seams. How can that be?

I finally scanned all my books in Goodreads when I found myself accidentally repurchasing books I already owned but hadn’t yet read 😂 When I come across a book I think I want to read, I put it in my Amazon cart. I don’t borrow books from the library, so this seems to work for me. What does it mean to scan books on Goodread? The Goodreads app has a feature that allows you to scan a book cover or bar code and save it to a virtual book shelf. So I have all my books scanned and then either in “read” or “to be read” so it’s easy to see what books I own. I’ve really only scratched the surface of the goodreads app so I don’t know everything you can use it for, but I find this a great way to manage my home library.

I truly despise the entire influencer phenomenon. The concept of “putting it all out there” and making money from clicks, links and swipe-ups is gross to me. Not all influencers 'put it all out there'. Some are just photographed wearing the clothes/jewellery/soaking up the sun in this or that resort...whatever...it's not necessarily 100% reveal all aspects of your life. [br You’re right. I guess the particular people I am thinking of...it seems like the more they share, and over share, the more their following grows, they need more content to post about, and it’s just a vicious circle.

Especially when you start monetizing your children. Kids that have no control over how many naked toddler photos their extra thirsty parents post that are now out there forever.
I even read about one stupid woman crying on Instagram about the fact that photos of her “least cute” child didn’t garner as many likes as his cuter siblings. If that’s not a recipe for fucked up kids, I don’t know what is.

I bought a vintage Turkish rug for our bedroom at 60% off. I’ve never bought a vintage rug before but I really like the timeworn look of wool Oushaks and I think the quality is superior to most machine made new carpets.
