I haven’t undecorated but I did a major tidy up today so I feel much more organized. I had a good laugh when I was out walking the dog tonight and saw a neighbour heaving his tree out the front door onto his lawn like he couldn’t get rid of it fast enough 😂

The Nespresso aeroccino 4 is awesome. It does hot milk, two types of hot foam (dense or airy) and cold foam. And it’s dishwasher safe. Just pour your milk in the pitcher, put the lid on, put it on the base and press the button for the foam you want. perfection!

I have two sheet pans that are gross and black that I can’t seem to get rid of. I use them for roasting veggies and stuff. They’re well seasoned 😂 My nephew was visiting for dinner and was helping to clean up after...he looked at the sheet pan in the sink and asked if he needed to get all the black stuff off. I said yes, every speck 😂

When our lab eats something she shouldn’t and has GI issues, the vet says no food for 24 hours to rest her digestive system. She can have water or chicken stock. Then the next day, chicken and rice. If that goes okay, she can go back to her normal food, fed in small meals throughout the day.

Gosh, I’m so sorry. I have always admired, and continue to admire, your strength. But it’s okay to not be strong all the time. I am sending you and your family my very best wishes.

Yes, I use one all the time. Keeps my sweaters looking new. Gross, pilly sweaters are a major pet peeve.

I have a handful of episodes on my DVR that I can’t bring myself to watch. It’s pretty awful.

I just started listening to Ronan Farrow’s Catch and Kill podcast and it’s really good. There’s only two episodes released so far. I actually ordered his book after listening to the first episode.
I know you said you like a series style podcast, but Crime Junkie is good if you like true crime. Not a series, though.
I am also waiting for the last episode of Detective Trapp to come out. It’s also really good - a female detective hunting serial killers 👍🏻

My daughter is born December 23. We have always taken great care to make her birthday a big deal. In fact, I’m sure we overcompensate 🤪I hope she doesn’t feel shortchanged. Her best friend is born December 24, so they often do a joint celebration with all their friends.
Last year, when she turned 16, we took her to NYC for her birthday. On the 23rd we had a special dinner at Daniel Boulud.
It’s funny, when I was pregnant, my due date was December 26. I really didn’t want a late December baby, so initially I hoped she would be late, and born in January. As my due date got closer and I became more uncomfortable, and then downright miserable, I didn’t care when she was born, I just wanted her OUT!!

We have shows we watch together, and then we have shows we watch separately because the other just can’t stand to watch. He can watch football for hours, while just the sound of it on in the background makes me insane, so if it’s on I will flee to another part of the house.

I have A Year of Reading from Shakespeare and Company in Paris on my list, as I have for the past two years. Throughout the year you are sent a carefully curated selection of 12 books and other assorted gifts from the world famous book store. It’s a fantastic gift for book nerds! I’m not sure what else to put on my list. I need absolutely nothing 🤷🏼♀️ Thank you so much for this!!! My adult DD would be amazed, enthralled and thrilled. It is one of our most favorite places to visit and to get something all year from there would be so great. You’re welcome! It’s honestly one of the best gifts I’ve ever received. The subscription is limited so if you’re interested, best to sign up quickly 😅

I’d rather have bare windows/doors than vertical blinds. They’re heinous. I don’t have a good solution, but please, no vertical blinds!

Well, I’m a mom, not a grandmother. My daughter is 16. When I was pregnant, my mom was thrilled, of course. She also told me she would not be a built in babysitter. We haven’t lived in the same city since before my daughter was born, so I’m not sure why she felt the need to spell that out to me. My husband and I had agreed that I’d stay at home with my daughter so we never needed childcare of that nature anyways. And my parents have been wonderful, amazing grandparents.
I think for many grandparents, that kind of full time care of babies and toddlers is way too much to expect.

I just use it instead of pasta in spaghetti and meatballs. To roast I just cut in half and bake cut side down on a baking sheet. I know many people put it in a pan of water, but I like the cut sides to be caramelized. I scoop the seeds out after it is baked. This is what we do as well. Having it tonight with Bolognese sauce for dinner, actually.
