Quick question..... I can purchase a used one but it's useless to me if I can't cut thin metal dies that are all over the market today, does anybody own this machine and can you tell me if it's possible to cut thin metal dies on the sizzix original Red Machine? Thanks in advance!

Check out the weekly sales & coupons at your local big box craft stores. HTH. Can't use coupons on them unfortunately..... why are people boycotting, should I be boycotting?

I've only had my Big Shot for a few months but I'm loving it. I specifically choose it because it isn't electric. I wanted the simplicity of not having to troubleshoot a lot of things. I second the advice of looking for a secondhand deal. I was too afraid too so that because I had zero experience with die cutting machines, but it turns out the Big Shot really is dummy proof and I would have been fine. 😂 That is exactly how I feel! I don't know what kind of "pads" hard, soft, how many, what kind of dies can you use with it......

I haven't used it in about a year-and-a-half...... I have basically 2 questions, I have it on my phone and I have it on my iPad and I don't believe things carried over to each other the last time I used it, so I'm wondering if that has changed? and can do they have it for a desktop pc yet?

I don't really think my photo-taking is down because the kids are getting a little bigger I noticed I'm taking more pictures of food and nature. Unfortunately I can open a scrapbook store, unfortunately I'm more of a buyer than a doer🤷♀️

If anybody has one with photos on it I would love to see it. I'm surprised so many altered but nobody really added photos.

I also think that they're cute and simple refugeepea! With Thanksgiving I haven't had a lot of time to search but what little I did on YouTube Nobody seemed to have/use photos on them. I definitely would like to put photos on them. I'm wondering and second-guessing is it too small for a photo🤷♀️

They are adorable!! I figured if I start old/vintage (🤣) Christmas pictures from when I was a kid. Christmas Memories of past🎄 It looks to me like a regular Rolodex would hold more pictures then Heidi's......

Hi all it's been a long, long time..... I've been a pea for many, many years. my original Pea name was sweetpee. I was more of a spectator Anywho now that I'm retired and locked up I thought I would do a little scrapbooking.... Anyone do an altered Rolodex? any pros or cons? care to share a picture? I figured it would be something small to start with. I did see (I believe) Becky Higgins had one and I'm wondering if her die and punch are the same size as a real Rolodex? interchangeable if you will.

Actually the recipe is still here on the site.
SallyPA's CARAMELS
2 C white sugar 1 C brown sugar 1 C light corn syrup 1 C evaporated milk (NOT sweetened condensed) 1 pint heavy whipping cream 1 C butter 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Combine all except vanilla in a large, heavy pan. Stirring constantly, heat to exactly 250 degrees and remove from heat. Stir in vanilla (will bubble up). Pour into greased 10x15 pan and cool. Cut into bite-sized pieces and wrap with wax paper.
**note that you must use a good candy thermometer and watch it carefully. it will sit around 220-230 for a long time and then all of a sudden jump up. If it goes under 250, they will be too soft, and if it goes over they will be too hard. Enjoy! I seriously have about 15 friends/family members that have a standing request for these caramels.

Well I hit buy button It may be a waste of money but the way I looked at it was it's a few shopping loads. Sometimes it's nice just to buy something because you want it, that's it

The biggest thing for me is I like the fact that you can write and cut at the same time.

ROFLMAO........[quoteI find it endearing and wish I could do the same hahah but come on don't take a huge B.M. in the middle of the thread and walk away. It's not cool.[/quote] This post was for paperAddict not any of you lol I only have one thing to say and then I wont WASTE anytime even responding to you all, but you all feel free to keep bashing. I know men who have died so I can speak freely, I know how to graciously keep my mouth shut when I don't agree with you. Trust me I have lots to say, especially to you

You are allowed to have YOUR OWN opinion just like anybody else.
I dont feel YOUR opinion is any more offensive then those that responded to YOUR post.
Some of you ladies need to take a chill pill, I for one don't want to think LIKE YOU!!
