I work in a small office. 5 women (all over 50...I'm 41) some weeks we see no patients...some weeks 1 or 2. So doing my underneath layer and maybe a streak or 2 on top won't be a big deal..

I did belly button piercing for 50th personally. But I hated it and pulled it out before 6 months were up and that was the end of that. Lol. I did that when I turned 30...had it 11 years and pay it no mind anymore. It's just "there" lol 3 tattoos were done I think before turning 30..lol

I've had color a lot recently. Few months ago had it dyed medium brown with lots of chunky pale blond and red streaks. Roots are grown out and when I had a trim last week she showed me new colors she got that are more fade resistant and said she thought the dark purple would look good (thinking underneath layer and two streaks mixed in on top) Heck my 16 y o son is gonna get blue tips on his hair...lol

I'm thinking if doing the under neath layer dark purple. I've hit a point where I'm "life's too short for boring hair" lol

I'm asking for women 40 plus have you ever added a different color to your hair at this age?

I don't mean just getting your hair colored I mean actually putting a different color like blue pink purple on part of your hair at this age? Update...brighter than I anticipated, takes some getting use to..but I like it! My 16 year old son wanted color on top too...

I wish the NC legislators would finish their work on the budget, so the issue of what's going to happen with Driver's Ed here would be resolved. We began the planning this summer to get DD enrolled, and quickly found out that currently it's required to get a license but that funding for public school classes ran out June 30th since the budget has not been resolved. There's also an amendment that wants to take away the DE requirement. So we are in a holding pattern until they come to a resolution (because why pay for DE if we don't have to, right?). Exactly. I'm in nc too

Not much of an option where we live Bummer.
Look at the bright side - teen not driving means fewer gray hairs!
Sort of. Part of me thinks he's not mature enough. And I also hate the idea of what it costs to add to ins. But we live far from so many things so it's hard...he is home all day every day during the summer.

I guess I just assumed lots of schools paid for it. If he had taken it last year, he would have had no costs. But for a few reasons he waited. He turned 16 in June and hasn't even had the classroom class.

I had a part time job in high school without a car. I went to school in an area with a grocery store within walking distance, so that's where I ended up working. All that walking certainly gave me incentive to save up for my own car and drivers ed. Not much of an option where we live

And what is your average cost to add them to insurance? Lots if families can't afford both. Then that hurts the child...can't get part time job with no car and can't always get a ride...

Ours did up until now...they have temporarily until officially confirmed. .stopped offering it thru schools. Like its now expensive enough to add them to a policy...u have to fork out the money for drivers ed. Is this common in other areas?

Love the rake idea. not a fan of the cheese grater or the wall. Wall looks too cold for northern MN. ha. I have a board, that's been painted white, and has antique doorknobs on it I've collected, and my necklaces hang from those. It's regular insulated sheet rock wall behind it.

Do you have a rue 21 by you? My son gets skinny jeans there. Good point! Don't discount skinny jeans. I know some teens don't like them. Most look like regular jeans on my son. Some make his backside look weird. My son is about 5'7" and 120 lbs. Gets 28x32 skinny there and they fit him good
