I would go with coincidence personally, and maybe trying to keep it from feeling so similar year to year (seems like I remember hearing a lot of grumbling about that last year). But there have been several posts on IG that seem to hint at the wedding being in the near future. I do not claim to be a friend of Ali's by any means, after meeting her one time, but I am very happy for them. Aaron came to Story Camp and was just as personable, genuine and nice as I expected from "seeing" him on social media. He certainly didn't have to come or spend hours engaging in real conversations with us, so it certainly felt like he really wanted to be there to support her. You could just really tell how great they are together. In this day and age of edited/curated social media it made me feel good to know that they were just as sweet as I pictured. (And the same could be said for Katie and her husband Peter. I know people appreciate that she does pop in around here from time to time and is gracious and helpful. She truly is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet and the responses you get are not just for the sake of customer service, she is the real deal 😉). That’s good to know That she is the real deal. You never can really tell with many. my gut tells me ali edwards and heidi swapp are both the real deal...it's good to read your thoughts after seeing them irl.

Oooh! Where do you get them printed and on what kind of paper please? I've got an external hard drive full of digital kits and hadn't considered sending papers out to get printed. I went through Office Depot, and used the cardstock standard white 110 lb paper. Its a nice weight without being too heavy or too thin. mom - you are a wealth of inspiration and information!!

After having to pack a large chunk of my stash/tools away in storage I'm finding that I'm missing my Big Shot. I have a Cameo but I still miss the depth and dimension that a manual die-cutting machine/die provides. I went on a search on how I could still use the couple of dies that I didn't pack away and saw this. Has anyone tried it? Hello rolling pin! nicolep you crack me up! in a very good way. you really think outside the box and seem open to so many points of view. i love it!

OK - somewhere in this thread I saw a glance that someone mentioned they might want to split the Ali chipboard with me. Anyone know who it was? I read It in line at the grocery store the other day and now I can't find the post. it was me, mom...let's talk it over. having received my package today after a big debacle, i do believe i'm nuts to even think of ordering something else

So after the comments about the page protectors I pulled everything out and took a look. I know what people are saying about the BH protectors having one 3x4 pocket that is off and that the 3x4 pockets have to be snugger than the 4x6 because of the extra seam, but that's not what is happening here. These are truly defective. First of all, I ordered the Jasmine Jones album and additional page protector packs--the additional packs are perfectly fine in good condition. It's only the ones that came in the album that are faulty, and only the design with 4 3x4 pockets. The seam is just about 1/8 inch too far to the right--making the two left pockets too large and the two right pockets too small. When I hold it up I can actually see the difference in size and the cards swim in the left side pockets and won't fit in the right side pockets. This is especially problematic for December Daily because I set up foundation pages and need the ability to move stuff around. I sent a conversation to Ali Edwards' customer service, they should send out replacement pages to everyone that purchased an album--but I'm not expecting anything, with the shipping issues for sending out actual orders, it would be a miracle for them to send out replacement pages. Thank you for bringing this to their attention. I hope they follow through. i just received my box this morning - and i absolutely agree. the 4 3x4 pocket pages in my off white album are all defective, as well. there's no doubt. so yes, thank you lasteve1 for letting AE know.

maryboys So, were you given expedited shipping in the end? I didn't see any mention of that in the CS replies you posted. yes - that was in a message i received even later - i stated that it was the very least they could do and that i expected it, at minimum.

sleepingbooty , dawnnikol , Skellinton , @millefeuilles thanks for the words of advice and commiseration, everyone. i did contact AE through IG as i didn't have katie's email. while i didn't hear back from them directly, i feel pretty confident that they're the reason i just got a message from Inked stating that my package is shipping out today, expedited. this was the message i first received today: " Hello Mary, I have received word from our shipping department that your order somehow got delayed in shipping. I am so sorry for this inconvenience. It WILL go out to you today, and you will receive updated tracking information once your order is shipped out. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for your unwavering patience." and i had already inquired about shipping status 3-4 days ago and received the form letter reply. then there was the general email sent out by AE a couple days ago stating ALL orders were out of the warehouse, shipped. i'll relax once i see that my entire order is in the box...but still...please associate with another company, Ali!! ETA: this was another message from Inked, earlier today: "Mary, I am terribly sorry for this poor experience. In looking into the reason why your order was delayed, it looks like it was due to it getting lost in our system. We have been dealing with systematical errors, and unfortunately your order was caught in the midst of it all."

i've been in contact with AE customer service today, and as I suspected, my DD order has not yet shipped. there is no acceptable excuse for this. I've requested expedited shipping today...we'll see what happens. i've also requested absolute confirmation that all items i ordered are in the box. i'll keep you posted

I had the exact same response this afternoon, word for word (except for the name, ). So yes, it is a generic response! My order still lists as active on AE, and the UPS site, which shows a label was printed last Friday, is still sitting around waiting for pick up. Which likely means that they just printed the labels and still haven't boxed it up yet - no way it only weighs 1.0 lbs. Pretty disappointing all around. Oh, and my reply from CS was from Jessica, not Jasmine. SaveSaveUPS shows no label for me and the tracking number I was sent this evening is not a valid number. i'm sorry to hear this . i received a shipping notification this afternoon, as well. stating that the package is only 1.0 lbs - this is incredible. and all it shows is that a shipping label has been created. ali edwards - this is a problem katiejaeger . please do what you can and communicate with us.

i contacted AE about the status of my DD order today; i also received a completely non-committal, one size fits all, non-answer. obviously a generic answer - it didn't even address my particular order - just the status of DD shipping, in general. Poor CS at it's finest Here it is: "Hi Mary, We do apologize for the delay in the shipping your order. Upon conferring with our shipment team, we have been informed that December Daily orders are still being packed and shipped at this time. We do understand the concerns of our customers for these orders, as many in our community are anxiously awaiting their orders to be shipped. Please be assured that your December Daily box will be packed and shipped as soon as possible. We again appreciate your patience and understanding as our team works hard to get these orders out to you. Please contact our Customer Experience team if we may be of any further assistance. We appreciate you being a valued member of the Ali Edwards community. Best, Jasmine"

nicolep ugh...you are tempting me. I wouldn't use any of the square pieces but I guess I could maybe sell those? 7 sheets of chipboard just seems like so much, you know? 1-3 sheets? I would be all in. But 7? I don't even have 7 colors of cardstock in my room. mom - if you're interested in dividing this chipboard set, pm me and we'll talk!

Even so, she has a huge and loyal following. If she is selling, her followers will buy. i'm thinking that a significant portion of her followers may not be scrappers/crafters at this point, though. it's been quite a while since her IG and blog content have been geared towards a consistent type of crafting. again, i have to express my dismay at her going to work for AF for a second time - i thought she had more integrity .

ladies - do you think it's possibly that SC is "curating" their email list? i ask because i just went to look at the site and found a halloween sale (albeit very small). i sure never received an email about that and it makes me curious. so tell me, did any of you fellow refugees get one, or just subbers? or is SC trying to fly waaaaay under the radar now and just hope that their customers stumble across things?

can anyone tell me if the Picturemate-400 prints 2up on the 4x6 paper to get the true 3x4 photo size? eta: also - does it only print borderless? I can print two 3x4's that are true to size. And I can select print borders when I do 4x6. I mostly use Picasa, my iPhone or the Pic Stitch app. I haven't mastered borders on my 3x4. I know it can be done with Photoshop but I am too lazy to learn. i'm lazy (and not too bright ) about learning those tech things, too. in fact, the mention of Photoshop just gave me palpitations . i was hoping it was like the selphy, where you just select it on the menu...thanks so much for your input!!

Looks like you can set up your own templates there too, perhaps? yes, you can print borderless or with white border - it's an option under printer settings (check the box for borderless, uncheck for white border) thank you, caspad! i just ordered this and then had second thoughts about those two functions - i'm glad to hear this

You can actually use it on all of four subs (scrapbook, DK, planner, and stamp) - ask me how I know... Just make sure you are adding the kits from the subscription section, not the shop - and triple check they are all month to month. If you get multiple kits, you can get free expedited shipping as well! It says that, but it actually ships the same as always, sadly. But the fine print does say economy shipping only. i will try again and verify that i did it correctly - thank you so much, scrapaddict702!

if there is anyone who can get the code to work (who doesn't want to use it, of course!), i'd love to get all 3 of this month's kits...can a person do this for somebody else?? either i don't know how to do it correctly, or it just isn't working for me. i've never heard of, nor used any codes like this previously.

I have the older Selphy CP 800 and am wondering about the newer models? Do the newer ones still print at less than a true 4x6 size? I use mine for pocket scrapping mostly, so that size issue has been a bit of a pain. Yet I like the dye sublimation printing - my photos have not faded or discolored. Is the newest model (1300) much of an improvement over the last model (1200)? Any thoughts to share? Thanks!

Ok I'm the odd bird who loves this month's kit, aside from the 'documented' stamp- I hope I've just had too much wine and I'm not reading that right.! But I'm a huge pink and purple fan. I want it for the leaves; I want millions of those leaves! I don't know how to make a new account but may have to subscribe for the leaves and transparency (if it's available somewhere else- please share) i can't figure it out, but i'm loving a few pieces of this month's products, too . i don't like pink or purple - but i bought several sets of the leaves, only. go figure. i think it's that i definitely don't like the traditional autumn colors in paper crafts...but yet fall is my favorite season. so these colors, along with the navy blue thrown in, really caught my eye!
