Well, I’d have to quit my job because I couldn’t do it. Or I’d have dh stand in for me as he loves karaoke and goes regularly (he’s very good). A duet that is fine to sound bad (IMO) is summer loving from grease. I’ve seen it done badly often at karaoke and everyone still seems to enjoy it. Ha. I "won" the only other time I agreed to be put in the auction and I swear I had three glasses of wine before I could even contemplate getting on stage. And I love to perform! Just not to sing . This is the only way I have sung karaoke and absolutely with friends. Congratulations on doing it. I knew one elderly gentleman who would do "Yellow Submarine" by the Beatles. "Sweet Caroline" is always a winner.

As a child, I didn't like black pepper. As an adult, I discovered freshly ground black pepper tasted completely different, and I liked it.

Natural History Museum or any other at Balboa Park. The railroad museum is cool too. I love the Natural History Museum and Balboa Park overall.

I want to know how to (or rather have the ability to) decorate beautiful cakes and cookies. I get the steps but the talent is very much missing! A lot of it is really just practice, practice, practice. This is another area where you can learn a lot for free on YouTube. I took a Wilton cake decorating class when I was about 14 where I was able to learn the basics, if you have a Michael’s or JoAnn’s I think they still do classes. Another option would be if there are community education classes many times you can find cake decorating classes. You also can find cake and cookie decorating classes online, I’ve taken some good ones through How To Cake It. Long ago, I took a Wilton cake decorating class. I agree with everything crazy4scraps said.

I’m in. DH is officially retired from the AF as of today. For some unknown reason, the AF has graciously decided not to pay us our last active duty paycheck. I suspect Tuesday will be a day of phone calls. Congratulations to DH on his retirement!! Best wishes on his and your next chapter.

This is a super small thing, but I bought DD a little glass/metal vintage nut grinder that matches the ones my mom and I have. They have to be at least 60 years old. I scored it at a garage sale. She thought I gave her mine. It is similar to this one, but I only paid $3 linkI have one like this on display in my kitchen. It was my mom's, and it always makes me think of the old farmhouse I lived in until I was 13.

I do like lasagna, but I have never made it. Dh and Ds hate casseroles - something I wish I knew about Dh in advance as maybe I wouldn't have fallen in love quite so hard - and lasagna is too casseroley. 😱😫😢 I really miss tuna noodle casserole and tater tot pie. These are three of my favorite foods!!

. Also, my dad was a diesel mechanic, and we always had some bar soap that had gritty stuff in it. I can't remember what it was called, but it was in a red wrapper. We had a soap like like - it was grey and gritty and called Solvol which was always in the laundry. Lava soap, if no one said it first.

I have one, Hobbes at my middle stomach area, as Hobbes was peaking over the top of my jeans at the time (think mom jeans area, 25 years ago, lol). I got it to distract from burns on my rib area from a lab accident I had. I accidentally knocked over a lit bunsen burner/ethanol container I was using to sterilize a glass rod and landed on my acrylic sweatshirt which melted instantly and caused burns/scars on abdomen and upper thigh area. I had surgery to extract them and they are not really noticeable now, but more of a memory scar. I thought that the tattoo would help. At the time, I think, yes, it helped with giving up the memory of pain. I don't really even notice it now, with having kids and expanding... lol. Tattoos are sometimes good for the soul at the time. I don't think I would get another. I'm sorry the accident happened. Many of us have a specific reason/event for getting tatoos.

A friend won gentle used Christmas dishes at a fundraiser, so he gave them to me, as the third-generation dish lover. I also have two place settings of Lenox "Winter Greetings," because I love it.
