Speaking of Geralyn, is she taking a break from In A Creative Bubble? It’s been awhile since she added to her shop. Someone asked on IG and she said she hopes to get back to it soon. I was surprised she didn’t even give a freebie or discount for iNSD. I’ve been hoping she’d have something new I could use for WITL.

There's Granny's coleslaw recipe that was delicious but my mum, my sister, and I have all failed at making even with granny's recipe. Now THERE is a story to document! Do you suppose she left out something when she wrote down the recipe? I have heard of some people doing that by accident--and on purpose LOL. I’ve always heard the secret ingredient is Grandma’s spit. 😉 (As in when she licks her finger to taste, etc)

Damn, I should have waited to preorder that set! The discount doesn’t apply to new/recent items and some other exclusions (because I had the same thought, but then read the fine print).

I wish the colors coordinated better with the other vaccination kit. Or I wish she did the whole same design/two colorways thing that she did with the KP shop. Yes! I would love a black and white option for this one. Not a fan of the salmon/peachy pink.

I really don't care for it when people say "You're not his mother" when referring to the father of your children. I think he should honor you for being they fantastic mother you are for being the mother of HIS children and be a role model,to his kids on how to say thanks mom for all the love and care you have given as a mom. Say that to your husband. I need to say it my husband! Thank you for saying this! I was going to post the same thing. She may not be his mother, but she is the mother of his children, and he should honor that. Plus, I’m guessing, as most mothers and women, she carries the huge silent load for the care of the child(ren) and other household responsibilities.

Or just mentioning you scrapbook. "I wish I had the time!" I knew someone like that, and it annoyed me every time. There was always an undercurrent of "I'm a mum and you're not" to the way she said it too. She'd conveniently forget that she was a SAHM and I worked around 50hrs a week. At first I ignored it, then I started saying things like "we all have 24hrs in the day", or "I make time for crafting". I was this close to following it up with "you sit on the couch watching trashy tv for hours at a time. I do this." Thankfully I moved, and don't see her anymore. I just say “I don’t really watch TV, so I use that time for my hobbies.”

No. Not to an indoor event like that where there is no requirement that everyone be vaccinated. A crop with my best friends who I know are vaccinated, yes. Me neither. I don't trust strangers. We've seen too many horrible people this past year. So very true! And it’s not just strangers that I don’t trust anymore either.

I ended up listening to the classes. They were ok, nothing ground breaking. One of the classes had issues and it still isn't available so there's that. Overall, I would give the entire day a 'C'. Nothing horribly bad, but not really awesome either. For me, the crappy digitals is a big deal. I also don't think anything groundbreaking was talked about. But that's just me. I will say I wish she had included regular people who have actually finished WITL in her chat. Atleast one DT member was vocal about she had never finished an album EVER and to me, that's just not a good look. Was she included because she has a following? I am assuming so. But to have someone in your chat that admits they haven't actually finished the project, ever, is just icky. There are some really inspiring non-DT members out there that have amazing albums and they weren't chosen to chat even though they have more experience. Just feels like she invited her friends to chat vs finding people who are passionate about the project. I don't want to hear how you get burned out after Tuesday and have never gotten past that day. I want to hear about how you are tired by Tuesday and knew that you wanted this project complete, so you stuck with it and pushed through. If you’re talking about Tazhi, I seem to remember her saying on her podcast that she wasn’t going to do WITL or maybe other projects this year because they weren’t for her and didn’t inspire her; but she’s on Ali’s DT so it seems like she kind of has to. I’m not sure what’s up with her - she’s been pretty absent lately and seemed to have a bit of an attitude in the chat. I was thinking she’s probably burned out because she totally overcommitted herself as the “IT” girl being on every team out there. I usually enjoy listening to her and seeing her work.

I finally did it!!! 50/50 (round 1)! I fell off the low-spend wagon after January, but still pleased to have completed 50 pages and am more mindful about the purchases I did make.
Now to jump in for round 2, and be more serious about sticking to my low-spend. Should hopefully be easier with iNSD behind me. 😁 I at least want to make it through the end of June.

I’m undecided. I’m fully vaccinated, and my immediate family is nearly there. I’d like to see how things progress with the variants and the timing for any boosters. I’d be more comfortable doing the crop than the shopping, at least for Expo since they give you a lot of space at the crop (not so for CKC), but the booths are cramped and VERY close quarters.

Ok just a quick question. Last night I sorted and printed my photos for January. I've decided to do a monthly collection of pictures. But with that said, I went to Pinterest and looked for pocket page ideas. And it seemed like all the Pinterest layouts were still one pocket page = one event. Whereas I want to do a random assortment of photos in one pocket page. Does that make sense? If I wanted to scrapbook only one "idea" at a time, I would just scrapbook the traditional way. One page at a time. Does anyone do a more random type of page with an eclectic mix of photos? Would you be willing to share one of your pages? Just so I can see how you've done it? I would really appreciate it. I just need to think this out in my head before I start putting my page together. flic.kr/p/2kXfg57flic.kr/p/2kXfg5xI'm a total noob over here so I'm not sure how to add photos TO the post, but here are two photos of a random week in our world (two photos because one of the bottom left photos has a flip up, so I showed both). This is nothing special, artistically speaking, but I'm so glad to have this "normal stuff" documented! Love how you captured the Bernie memes.

The covid Things Are Looking Up stamp set is cu-ute!! Celebrating our family jabs by preordering it. 🥳 Those stamps are adorbs, I pre-ordered straight away. Couldn't help myself! Forgive me, fellow SC refugees, for I have sinned. I got my first dose of Pfizer-BioNTech yesterday (happiest surprise in the last 15-ish months) so I'm celebrating with some online shopping like honeypea. I preordered too. Our governor is pushing opening back up and returning to offices and lots of places are lifting restrictions, so it will help me document. DH and I are fully vaccinated now, and DS will get his second shot this week, so a big relief there.

Still waiting on my evening story kit 😕 tracking says it's shipped but hasn't moved from the facility. Anyone want to take bets that the new kit is released before I get this one? I'm in Canada to so shipping is slower. Mine never showed as moving in shipping until the day it arrived earlier this week.

I completely agree with you. And it is why I very rarely share anything online anymore. Just like in every other area of life now a days, people think their way is right and if you don't do it their way, well, then you're wrong. And not only are you wrong, they will tell you about it. No thanks. I do what I do for me, period. ^^This. Exactly this. It’s not just scrapbooking, it’s pervasive. Tolerance and common decency and manners are rare these days. So many people can’t see beyond themselves or be bothered to see someone else’s perspective. It makes me sad.

I’ve received everything I ordered plus some extra, but I don’t intend to ever order from her again. It’s sad, because she is very talented, but that’s not how you treat your customers. She continues to do fb lives, and I don’t understand it, but people send her “stars” and sprinkles, which from what I gather is money?
I’m sorry for those who still haven’t received orders.

I don’t think I’ve ever thumbs downed a scrappy video. If I don’t like it, I stop watching, skip ads, and don’t give a thumbs up.
I have given a thumbs down for other genres, especially click bait or misleading videos, or ones from channels I’ve decided I don’t like yet Youtube keeps recommending then and putting them in popups. By giving thumbs down, I’m telling the analytics I don’t want to see those, and eventually it stops recommending.

May is my birthday month and my lily of the valley bloomed just in time to kick off my month long celebration. I have a friend's 70th surprise party out of state so I will stay with my mom. That is the same weekend of DIL's birthday so I'll have to do something special for her before or after I get back. I only have one crop this month which is on my actual birthday, so I will have to reschedule celebrating with my family. I may give up an hour of my crop to do it the next night. I've been taking photos like crazy, because I take DGD to art class and gym class, and she met a little friend who also goes to both. Her mom and I have struck up a friendship and have been taking the girls to the park and to lunch. So there are many photos being taken. She is an older mom and I am a grandmom so we are closer in age than she is to my DIL. We are 13 years apart and she is 27 years apart from my DIL. I hope I have more time this month to continue my organizing efforts. Last month I really lost steam on that! Happy Birthday month! I am a May baby too, and love to celebrate all month. I need to cut some of my Lily of the Valley blooms and bring them in to enjoy.

I agree on the graduation themed stuff. The other theme I have problems with is Easter. It’s always so pukey pastel and I never see anything I like.

Hmmm, a Stephanie from My Mind's Eye had beautiful projects, and I always enjoyed Laura Whitaker and Wilna Furstenburg's work. I also really miss listening to The Paperclipping Roundtable. I can remember when my son was a baby, listening to those episodes while pushing him in a stroller while he napped (it was the only way he napped...I listened to all of their episodes, multiple times, lol). I really miss Laura Whitaker - I always loved her style and she wasn’t all pink and flowers like so many.

The May dirty red and band aid pink are not my favorite colors and never have been when anyone does them.. but I like the cool colors involved, so it won't be a total loss for me. The June kit has me all sorts of happy though! Thoughts? I really love Kelly’s sentiments, but her color selections (except for the cool tones) are blech and really hard to work with. The May kit is a hard pass for me because of the colors. The June kit is ok, but still kind of a jumbled mess of colors.

She's great and her products are wonderful! I was so happy to see her DT is full of fresh faces! I'm so tired of seeing one person in particular being picked up by team after team lately and was relieved she wasn't on this one! Inquiring minds want to know...! But I agree, I’ve been getting tired of seeing the same faces on every DT. I’m glad she mixed it up! There are several who are oversaturing the DT scene.
