We need to fill in a new certificate for every single outing. Identity, address, reason for leaving your home (you get to pick one in a list and the cop controlling you checks whether that holds up or not). You're meant to download the certificate online (there's the "permanent work permit" certificate and the derogatory certificate for everything else: 10-minute walk around your neighbourhood, walking the dog, taking out the recyclement bins, going to the grocery store, urgent medical care, handing over children if you're sharing custody, helping out an aging/handicapped relative) and have it on you during the entire outing + proof whenever necessary (proof that you pre-ordered your groceries for pick-up, doctor's note, proof of your relative in need of assistance, etc.). They're not joking around here. You get fined 135€ (US$150-ish) if you don't have the paper or your reason isn't considered valid by the cop. That's crazy... hopefully these restrictions lessen soon. I'm sorry you have to go through that... Here is New York we have most businesses mandated closed, schools are closed and most people are ordered to work from home, but we don't have any actual restrictions preventing us from going out. People are strongly encouraged to stay home or to only go out to get fresh air and maintain a 6 foot distance from everyone else... unfortunately lots of people aren't complying. I'm worried if people don't start voluntarily complying better they will be forced to put similar restrictions in place here like you have. I hope this whole thing is over soon. ETA: Sorry to be a bummer on this crop thread... only 2 1/2 more hours and then I'm joining you in the crafting!!

That sounds like a nightmare, but equally sensible. It’s certainly a way to get people to abide by the rules of social distancing and self isolation. I hope you are hanging in there okay. A minority, or majority perhaps, of people in the U.K. seem to be ignoring government advice, so Boris has just shut down restaurants, pubs and gyms nationwide. I wouldn’t be surprised if they start fining people here but we aren’t quite in lockdown yet.

Hello, Croppers! I am almost done a two pager based on LisaDV's Sketchy Saturday 21-03-20 Challenge Have to let some Nuvo's dry and then glue down the title letters I cut and do the journaling. Spent a couple of hours on Hangouts with justjac as a trial run for tomorrow's session. If you want to jump in tomorrow, please check THIS thread for the link. 11:00AM PDT, 12:00noon MDT, 1:00PM CDT, 2:00PM Eastern. Went to town to get the mail and pick up some groceries. Stopped at the pharmacy for a thermometer and some Tylenol (just in case), and I needed to replace my debit card at the Credit Union (the old one had expired, I guess). Interesting to note that the only one of the four places I went that did NOT have sanitizing and distancing in place was the PHARMACY! Post office has no entry/exit except by push button, grocery store has wipes right at the cart rack (I grabbed a couple, wiped my cart handle and hung on to the wipes in my hand to clean everything I touched and my hands), bank had a hand sanitizer station 6 feet from the tellers' desk and no-touch system for entering info. The pharmacy? Nada... Good thing I still had the grocery store wipes in my hand... Need to get a few things done around the house and start supper. Will be back later to chat.

I've found it hard to transition from WFH to crafting, as I am using the desk in my craft room to work from. Is anyone else feeling that? It's dampening my mojo, but I'm hoping being part of this crop will ignite my fire to scrap again! Maybe this is part of it for me. Also haven't left the house in 4 days. I am just starting to feel weird. Had this in a different post, but thought I'd just put it here. This is just not like me at all. I want to scrap, have tons of supplies, printed pics, etc...and I have the time too. But is just seems like every time I try, I either have massive guilt (I feel so awful for my sister who works in an ER and her kids) or anxiety. I am just frozen in my tracks. Why should I get to do something fun? Is anyone else feeling this way? If so, how are you resolving this in your head and enjoying playing with paper... I'm going to try and hang out here for a bit and see if that doesn't help.

It was wonderful to just breathe fresh air. If there is anywhere near you - your garden, a nearby walk - and you are capable to do so, I really recommend spending some time outside. Heck, stick your head out of your window and breathe in some AIR. It helps!

A minority, or majority perhaps, of people in the U.K. seem to be ignoring government advice, so Boris has just shut down restaurants, pubs and gyms nationwide. I'm surprised to learn this has just happened in England! Canada - we only have ~800 cases so far - my province has been shut down all week. We have drive thru and take out food. We have banks. Grocery stores are limiting hours and numbers. My gym closed Tuesday (a day behind the other gyms. I got 1 extra work in!). I am finding my anxiety is leaving me restless. I sit to crop, but get up and pace around a lot, taking a lot of computer "breaks" to check in on the world.

I ended up getting one of my scrappy deliveries today, but still not the one from yesterday. 😪 Anyway, made fast work of one of Vicki Boutin’s Let’s Wander papers. This is really cute! I see a scraplift in my future.

We have made real progress heading towards lockdown this week, though. Schools closed yesterday, bars and social areas closed today. It should have happened sooner but I’m grateful for how the government are reacting now.

For the rest of the night I’ll be resorting to gin to do the same. Will scrap tomorrow and get some stuff done!

My first day of home school wasn't a complete dumpster fire today, so I count that as a win. I did go to my scraproom to find that the layout I had spread out on my desk was covered in my Freshman's geography homework. I moved it, but now I am missing a picture. I guess I can crop on the weekend, but it looks like I need to pack up during the week so the kids can use the computer in that room.

Here are some I have worked on during the Crop. I love this layout. I have a place near my home that makes cars just like these. It's called "the happy factory" and they send toy cars all over the world. What a great story about some amazing people.

LavenderLayoutLady, I love your “altered cards”. Very clever. Things are so weird right now. Linda, what a great family you have to carry on successfully while you were helping with your mom and her home. Great layout. I love the fact that you had a friend come and keep you company a couple of times. I love the photo of the two of you together.~ I laughed at your layout about Daddy’s night to cook. That’s how it is around here. I tell DH it’s his turn to decide what we are eating and he always picks “OUT”. Which is totally fine with me. Great double page layout.~Great idea to scrap the note from the teacher. I love that! msliz, I love that background paper on your layout. Such a pretty watercolor look to those flowers. The laser cut wooden hearts are beautiful. Nothing creepy here. KikiPea, that is the cutest photo of the price tags hanging from the glasses. So funny. I love your mixed media background and, as always, your wonderful clusters. Such a pretty layout.(just read that background came like that) Beautiful anyway! ~I love your page about making a terrarium. The 3 photos together with your clusters around them give this such a classic look. I love the colors with the green leaves. So very pretty. scrapbookwriter, I would love to see your Hawaii pages when you get them done. I have a trip I haven’t scrapped and don’t know where to start. sleepingbooty, I’m sorry about your ink rationing. Doesn’t your country understand that using that ink for scrapping is very therapeutic? LOL. I’m sorry you are so locked down. I do understand the reasons behind it. Hugs to you and your countrymen. I will be glad when this pandemic is over....if ever. gramma, I love your Vegas swap items. They are amazing. I love paper piecing, so your swaps and layouts always speak to me. Lucky participants! kitbop, I left love for you in the gallery. I was feeling anxiety all day Tues and couldn’t seem to settle down. It could have been all the aftershocks from the earthquake keeping me on edge, but whatever, it seems to have gone away. Scrapping has been a big help the last 2 days. refugeepea, I hope the home schooling gets better. It’s especially hard on my special needs grands to have big changes. They don’t deal well with change. Sending you hugs. How did your DS deal with the earthquake? Thanks to grammadee and sleepingbooty for setting this all up. It has been such a help for me and my mental stability. Scrapping is very therapeutic.

Well peas, I'm feeling really down today. My son had a seizure last night. He has never had one before. Thankfully, I saw it as it started because he was sitting on our kitchen bar stool. When he was around three years old, he did have an EEG done that came back clear because some Autistic people have seizures as well.
One effect of the covid-19; he cannot get into the only children's hospital that can take him until mid June. It is a specialist but it should have been mid May at the longest. He has to be sedated for any tests. I thought he had bounced back this morning, but he took a nap this afternoon; which is extremely rare. There's really no way to know if it's a one time thing or a new problem.
They just announced there is a case of covid-19 at my husband's job and he is an essential employee. Ugh! If I could be in isolation by myself this would be bliss!

refugeepea, I am so sorry about your DS's seizure. I understand that it is hard to get an appt right now, but it seems sad that he has to wait so long. Can you get on a waiting list? I hope there is no residual damage and that he will feel OK tomorrow. As if you didn't have enough things to worry about! Hunker down and stay safe. I hope your DH doesn't get it from someone at work. Hugs and prayers for your family.

I had planned on using Vicki Boutin’s Let’s Wander, but the papers I was waiting on (USPS is holding my order hostage!) have yet to arrive. I really wanted to scrap these photos, so I did! I ended up using a little Field Notes and Wildflower & Honey and Shimelle papers and Color Kaleidoscope and Let’s Wander embellishments.

I'll ask then about the waiting list. This came out of nowhere.

(((Hugs))) mama I'll keep your son & whole family in my thoughts. I'm sure you already do, but starting with the seizure, keep a log of anything that seems out of the usual. Sleeping more than usual, temps, appetite, etc. I second asking to be on a waitlist. Also, mention to his pediatrician that your dh works with a CV+ person. Might get your ds seen sooner.

Man, I am so sorry to hear this. I know (not the same situation) when my dog was having seizures, he’d sleep a lot the day it happened. I really hope you are able to get him in sooner to get some answers. Y’all have a lot on your plate right now. Praying for him, as well as you and your DH.

Nylene, I love everything about this layout! What font did you use for the word Christmas? Thank you! I love that title and wish I had a whole font in it. But it is a cut file from the Silhouette Design Store called "Christmas words" and has a variety of words in pretty fonts. I snagged it yesterday since all designs are 50% off. I also picked up some others for pages I am trying to complete in the next couple of weeks.

I finished my two pager and it is posted in the Gallery. Left love on Flickr for kitbop , nylene , and gramma . KikiPea that is a beautiful page. I understand why you decided not to wait for the "perfect" papers to scrap it. Love how you used those big stickers and--as always--your skill and artistry in the clusters. thwarth, I hope you find your photo or your ds finds it in his Geography books or papers. Hoping you can take a little time to play this weekend. You have had a busy week! refugeepea , (((((hugs))))) to you and your family. One of the fears of this time is worrying about what happens to the rest of us who may need medical attention for issues that are NOT COVID 19 related! I am thinking that the extra napping is a result of the physical toll that the seizure took on his mind and body. Dh's cousin was epileptic as a child, and while he was normally quite hyperactive, on the day or two after a seizure he would be quite quiet and he would sleep alot. At first his mom was terrified and would keep waking him up to see if he was okay. So scary about your dh's workplace, too. Hoping he and the rest of you remain healthy.

Haha, I'd still be pretty "eeped" out by a toddler with a shiv. Clearly, I don't have kids! One day when my twin DDs were 3 or 4, I walked into their room to find one straddling the other with a plastic knife held high, poised to come down on her sister. "What are you doing?!" She called back,"I'm giving her a C-section!" and plunged the knife into her sister's middle, wiggling the zipper of her pajamas open, and proceeded to pull out about 20 assorted teddy bears, bunnies and puppies. I still laugh thinking about it This made me laugh so hard! Thanks for sharing. I’ll be here tomorrow and Sunday. Thanks sleepingbooty!
