Page 5 love: scrapbookwriter Hope those Hawaii memories are a welcome escape and you're having fun scrapping them. joblackford 'Wolf Pack Cards' I love these designs! Heidi Swapp's collection was gorgeous and you definitely came up with cards that live up to the line's reputation. I can't pick a fave. The multiple moons on the same card is a lovely twist. I love the miles reference for the sentiment on the map design card. The wolf howling at all the constellations is also striking. Ugh, no I really can't pick a fave! They're all stellar. lasteve1 Happy belated birthday to your husband! I hope you had a wonderful time together and that he loved his cake. lesley 'DD's Fiancée' Welcome back to the scrappy side! I couldn't have guessed this was your first LO in years. It's beautiful! I love all the different kraft elements: such a subtle but pretty build-up. That soft turquoise is the perfect pop of colour to complement the photo. I love how you extracted the circle element from the hazy background used in the photo picture and used the twiggy swirl pattern paper to mimick your DD's fiancée's cute curls. It's all very poetic. Bonus points for the mixed media touch. Well done! nicolep A fellow Christmas-in-March scrapper! *high five* How's this mini project coming along? Are you finding your groove? PS: That Starbucks gift card is the cutest. marie 'Covid-19' Kudos to you for tackling the hard stuff straight away. I love how you found a red-toned photo rendition of the virus to work with the blue and red contrast. I used the same colour scheme for my PL, works so well for anything related to medical stuff! I love that big turquoise circle you used to anchor the photos and do your journaling: it reminds me of a giant soap bubble, so appropriate for our #WASHYOURHANDS days! Great little touch. 'Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party' I love the main design you went for here: that large photo at the bottom, stitched down, with the festive background border all around the LO. Paired with the kraft and red + white, it looks very chic. The cluster and tree on both sides of the pic are just the right elements to balance out the two red trees in the photograph. Great job! 'Halloween Parade' This is such a bold and fun LO! I love that big circle burst with the parade's sign: it draw the audience in. Those offset parade pictures add dynamics and energy to your page. My eye kept moving around, trying to take it all in. Very entertaining and interesting. oaksong 'Nugget Falls' Oh, Heidi's soft neutrals were the perfect choice for these pictures! I love that you incorporated several wood veneer patterns to mirror the shore environment. What a great way to add in a 3x4 journaling card to break up the panorama on the right page. The pictures are beautiful, by the way. It looks like such a wonderful holiday!

Love seeing everyone's layouts and projects and ideas! I am getting into my studio today!
I had to get some stuff done around the house yesterday and I was also a little paralyzed by the situation. I did trim some photos and assessed what projects I had going. So I am ready!
I am finishing up some layouts and photos from a Disney/Universal trip in 2017. I don't know why I never felt like scrapping it before?! And then we'll see. Lots of little things to fill in and then also newly printed photos to plan out too.
Before I forget, I want to make a mental note that last night I thought of making a layout related to covid along the lines of "doing our best" I keep hearing this phrase from all walks of life and hopefully it will open up some journaling when I get to that.
Happy scrapping!

So much inspiration in this thread. Thank you everyone for sharing what you're up to! sleepingbooty Your Christmas pages have inspired me to get my alpha stickers out! I have so many good sets but I forget to use them. I've just used some on a photo to add a title like your In Bruges card. Thanks for sharing! oaksong I love your Alaska layouts. It's a place I dream of visiting in the future. For now I will live it through your spreads! linda The masks look great - it's so wonderful to find a way to help the situation through a craft you love. I hope they will be very much appreciated! nicolep Looking forward to seeing how your Christmas album comes along. That Starbucks GF is cute and makes a perfect piece of ephemera.

Just one more refill of my coffee cup, and then I hope to get started on the LO I had planned to do yesterday.... Printed off a Pin I had saved awhile ago to use as a guide.

I'm not sure I've made the right background movie choice for my crafting this afternoon: I picked Outbreak. To scrap the novel coronavirus. A real facepalm moment, I swear. I find that I'm crafting real slow since I've been confined but I guess that's to be expected considering how restless my mind is right now. As long as I'm getting something done, I consider it a positive. It's a welcome distraction (provided I pick better background entertainment!). How is the day going for everyone else so far? grammadee Got yourself a fresh cup of coffee to get started? scrapcat Love that you're using a phrase you keep hearing to kickstart your journaling! peachiceteas Yay for alpha stickers, the underrated scrap heroes, often forgotten in a world of dimensional Thickers.

Finishing my 3rd cup as I post this, sleepingbooty... Finished my two day two pager. It is in the Gallery and will be shared on the Challenges board, but I will pop it in here, too. Get your GAME on! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr The Bey Blades game was my bd gift to my dgs, based on his request. I had never seen them before. I guess they had something similar a couple of decades ago, but I think it was between when I had kids at home and when I had grandkids. It was really fun watching the family having such a blast with the game. Makes me smile to think about it. And we need all the smiles we can get, right?

grammadee I really like how you stacked those layers of cardstock in your title 'get your game on' to give it some dimension. I might try that technique myself. sleepingbooty I keep being reminded that COVID-19 is a marathon not a sprint - I dread to think how much we will get done between now and when this is over, even if we're scrapping slow! I made two PL spreads today. I would love to have made more but hey, progress is progress!

Lots of beautiful work ladies! I finished up my PL pages that I wanted to and cleaned up a bit. Really want to try some mixed media so scrapbooking. I looked at Vicki B's ready made media pad of papers but couldn't pull the trigger for the few that I liked at the high price point so I'm going to try to create some of my own!

Just coloured another card topper with watercolour crayons and filled in background with oxide inks spritzed with water and a water brush. I ain’t no VB, but I kind of like the results...

I completed only one project life spread today... one yesterday. But, that completes February in my album so I'm able rotate my February supplies out of my "current month" trays (I only have space for 3 months so I had kits piling up). I still need to finish September and do November, December, March and now the April kit is on deck. I did the "friends" story class today and sketched out some page ideas. Now I need to take a break to make dinner but afterwards I hope to finish up the last week in September 2019 which was a girls trip using the Journey story kit, Friends story kit & my September kits. That will be a huge check off my list because then I can put away my September supplies and dig into November. sleepingbooty I have been crafting slowly as well... I have mostly blamed it on my temporary set-up in our temporary apartment and the stress of the delays this social distancing is causing on our house being built. But I think it's also just the whole situation and feeling so restless and tired at the same time. I am still working full-time, but from home, so it's hard to transition between the two and haven't found myself to have extra time during the week. Grocery shopping also takes longer than usual because they're out of so many things I have to go back multiple times to get what we need.

msliz I love the pop of colour in your photos and embellishments against that b&w background! And so many fun photos. Looks like it was alot of fun. I finished my colouring and put together one last card for the weekend. I meant to put the greeting piece over the flub up in colouring bottom right. Might have to add something there if I can figure out something. But calling it DONE for now: water colour flower 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

sleepingbooty, thank you for those words. It is a very surreal feeling. I am doing my best. As I type this my sister is on a 16 hour shift in the ER. steakgoddess (that feels so weird to type, lifelong vegetarian here, lol) thank you for the sketch youtube inspiration. I literally kind of forced myself to grab two pictures and scrap along. Funny that the one I watched you were scrapping pics of my hometown! It got easier to scrap once I started, and I think I might just use sketches for a few days and take the thinking out of it. That way I will still like my pages, and get past the "frozen" feeling.

Thanks to those who asked how my DD is coming along. As of today, my state is now under a 'stay-at-home' mandate excluding essential businesses. I am going into work tomorrow but expect to be laid off. The company I work for is classified as an essential business as we manufacture product for the medical field and food industry so the company itself will not close but I'm sure non-essential positions like mine will be set aside. Kind of a blah day and simply existed with my SO and little man but... My positives for today: 1. The sun FINALLY came out and was such a welcome sight in the morning hours. (It was only 30° but I pushed us out in the backyard for some fresh air.) 2. If I get laid off I'll be able to be home with my little man and I will feel 1000% at ease with that! I have not been to a store or anywhere where people are for several days (other than work and there are social distancing restrictions) nor do I want to. I am taking it as serious as I possiby can to JUST STAY HOME. My DD will be there when I'm ready. Love that you arranged this Booty sleepingbooty. Thank you! ♥ 🤗

grammadee 'Family Time' My gosh, look at those happy faces! What a fun memory to scrap. I love that you recreated the rails of the battle stadium in such a graphic way with your banner arrows, what a great touch. The neutral, light background was an excellent choice to let the photos pop. I love the anchoring in the middle you did to let other, more whimsical elements burst from: the vertical row of 3 horizontal photos and the overlapping banner arrows really help ground this double-pager. They really help the eye find a starting point to "read" the story from! Lovely dynamics and energy here: perfect for documenting playing Beyblade Burst! 'Water Colour Card' Oh, this is simply gorgeous, grammadee! Big fan of absolutely everything: the colouring (super pretty), the colour scheme, the botanical theme, the white butterfly, that touch of gold foil in the upper right corner that is round and shiny like the sun! The Nuvo (?) drops add great texture and their high shine contrast perfectly with the gold glitter paper. peachiceteas Definitely a marathon. Slow but steady wins the race here! Great to read that you got two PL spreads done. That's quite a bit, actually! needtime2scrap Yay for making your own papers with mixed media! I hope you'll share the results of your Vicki-inspired papers... msliz 'Halloween' I love those two photo collage blocks: such a strong way to ground your double-pager! Gah, your Halloween icon pattern paper is super adorable. Such kawaii pumpkins, bats and froggies. The red strip of cardstock across the middle is perfection. It helps the eye travel horizontally through all the photos while adding a very classy touch, almost like a satin bow around this "memory package." Adorable yet chic, well done! lasteve1 I hear you on the difficulty of transitioning from work to play at home during these confinement days. I agree that it contributes to the overall slowness of our crafting but as long we get to spend some time with our supplies, focusing on something different (and good!), it's a win in my book. I hope we can all settle into this new routine as it will take some time to return to our lifestyle before Covid-19 (although we'll likely never quite return to that). Wishing you patience and strength as you try to find some balance for your work-from-home days! @kendramage Hang in there. Thank your sister on behalf of everyone: our lives depend on those on the frontline of this battle. We very much appreciate all their work and daily sacrifices that show us how fortunate we are to be able to hole up and wait this out. Take it easy on yourself: your path did not lead you to working in ER and that's ok. You will find ways to express your support to your sister like being her shoulder to cry on (from a safe distance, obviously), checking in with her regularly, placing surprise orders for her and her kids, etc. You will ease into this difficult new routine and figure it out, I promise. nicolep Sorry about the possible lay-off! I'm glad to hear you're seeing a positive in all of this. I think you'll have a wonderful time being at home with your little man for a while. The DD can wait, just get to it when you need a crafty break from your new normal. Many happy times, laughter and outings in the garden to you and your little family! kiwikate Welcome to the lockdown club! Make yourself at home! There might be something croppy coming up in here real soon...
