Hello all, and welcome to 2024! Yes yes, I know we're already nearly halfway through January..... I'm running a bit slow this year. This is the new thread for Sketchy Saturday 2024, where I will keep a list of volunteers, and the links to all the sketches.

Please let me know if you are able to volunteer to provide a sketch for any of the days below that are not yet filled. It would be great if you are able to provide a sample layout to go with your sketch, but if you are unable to get the sample done in time, please don't worry - as long we have a sketch to play with, that's the most important thing!

Yes, the third Saturday, starting from the first Saturday. On Months that there is a fifth Saturday, if you need that covered, I can do that too. This is going to keep me in gear to get layouts done this year so I am excited to do this!

I’m thinking of signing up but want to make sure I understand what I’m supposed to do first. Sometimes I have trouble finding the sketch when searching “sketchy Saturday”.

What board is it posted on? I usually see them here but sometimes search challenges when I can’t find them.

Does it matter what time? Sometimes I wonder if I can’t find it because I’m looking too early. For instance, was there a sketch yesterday?

I know the link is always posted in the thread after, but I feel like I’m searching incorrectly since I can’t find them sometimes. I’m afraid I’ll post incorrectly if I volunteer.

@petscrapper, I hope you decide to sign up. The hosts search for sketches other sites, even Pinterest. Some create their own sketches, sometimes original but often from interesting LO's they have seen various places.

We try to find sketches that we want to play with ourselves, and usually post our "sample" with the sketch. But if you don't have time to create your LO before your Saturday, you can post the sketch without a sample and add your page in later.

The host starts a thread with "Sketchy Saturday" and the date in the thread title. The Sketchy Saturday challenges are usually posted any time Friday or Saturday. They are posted on the General Scrapbooking board, but AussieMeg links them back to this pinned thread at the top of the Challenges board. If you are a host, you can tag her to let her know your sketch has landed so she can link it.

If you are looking for past sketches, you can come back to this thread and follow the links to all of the present and past Sketchy Saturdays.

Again, I hope you jump in to play, either to host or to play along with the sketches already posted.
