Thanks justjac - those are great! I love that you've been doing these cute little pages - they're a great snapshot of who you are at that moment I finished up the pages from DD17's first summer trip last year - the High Adventure week.

Good Sunday evening Pokeys! It was good to hear from you knutschen. I hope your eye has completely healed and that your construction/renovation projects go well. gramma and joyfulnana, so glad you are enjoying the anticipation to the big game. You remind me of a couple of my sons whose CFL rivalry is pretty intense. One forgot his Stampeders' (red & white) jersey in the other's truck one weekend and was told that it had already been died GREEN. Linda, you have been so busy turning out so many different types of pages. Wow! I am hoping to put a LO together tomorrow. Not sure which 29-4-29 challenge I will aim for, and I also have the February sketch from Allison Davis for the SCT year of sketches course, so no lack of inspiration. Just need to settle in and DO something. Even if I don't get the page(s) done, I definitely need to construct a bd card for my sister-in-law. Already have my gnomies cut and their car cut and assembled. Just need to do the background and the greeting. Thanks for sharing your Awesome Ladies pages, justjac. You have been busy, too. And YAY for an operational bathroom! Can't wait to hear all about your whirlwind trip, kitbop! We leave or Orlando in ten days. Have no idea what kind of clothes to pack. Our weather has been so weird this winter. We had a few days of extreme lows, but mostly fairly mild temps for this region, and any snow that fell was almost all gone after a few days or above freezing last week. If we don't get some moisture soon, the dugouts for livestock will all be dry and the fields will be like powder, so nothing will grow in the spring. We got some snow today and I felt almost like your grandkids, nylene, wanting to get out and play in it! Speaking of the white stuff, will you in Utah be getting any of that storm predicted to be heading through the mountains from California? Okay. Gotta get a few things put away in the kitchen, and then I am heading for bed. Had a migraine yesterday. It is gone today, but left me with surface pain in my neck and face, and a general feeling of fatigue.

Thanks grammadee - it's been fun doing the outdoors photos but switching gears tomorrow and working on February 2022 which seems to have lots of cat photos. I have a FB crop tomorrow night so hopefully can get a couple more pages done. Already have my gnomies cut and their car cut and assembled oh that'll be so cute! Your gnomies did a great job buying a car (die) for themselves. We leave or Orlando in ten days. Have no idea what kind of clothes to pack. rain gear and layers. Had a migraine yesterday. It is gone today, but left me with surface pain in my neck and face, and a general feeling of fatigue. feel better soon

Happy Monday! It's been raining here since yesterday but it's been mild. Hope you all had a nice weekend. Today, I'll be playing with paint and maybe looking at the Simple Stories card kit I recently bought. I was thinking of doing a video on about the kits so still thinking about it. CVS had a 40% off sale on photobooks and I think other products so I made an 8x10 size of my recent art collection and it turned out great. I did another one of our 2023 year and will get it today. Here is a picture from our time in Laguna Beach for our anniversary. Enjoy! Laguna Beach by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr justjac - Your pages look so fun. I specially like to see the ones about your beautiful nails. I want to do my nails more so maybe this year I will. Happy to hear your bathroom is almost done. Anymore plays this year? grammadee - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! I hope you are feeling better and can enjoy your special day! linda - Your layouts look so good. I especially like the ones where you added cs and backgrounds to look like waves and water. So creative! The festival you went to sounds like it was fun. nylene - I gotta go see the layouts you have in the gallery. Still thinking about you and hope your shoulder behaves. LOL! knutschen- Waving hi to you and hope your new front doors make you smile. Take care! Waving hi to all you peas and hope you have a wonderful week!

Happy birthday grammadee! I hope you are getting spoiled! I might need to borrow your gnome dies and their car at the crop. They are so cute. kellyr21 that photo is gorgeous. No plays for me this spring. I auditioned for Barefoot in the Park, but the only part I was suited for was the mother of the main character and I didn't get it Linda I love that mix of patterned papers.

I am slow to get to my computer today, so didn't get to wish a Happy Birthday to grammadee!until now. I hope your migraine has not left you too fatigued to enjoy your birthday! Yes, we are getting lots of rain from the Calif storm, and Friday we had quite a bit of snow, but it's back to rain, rain, rain again. justjac, I love your pages. It's always so interesting to see what you are doing, reading, etc. I love your pretty nails. 1000th Awesome ladies events?? Is someone keeping track of the number of our crops. We have a long way to go to catch up. Is that a book by Vera Wang? I can't tell for sure, but didn't know she was literary. Beautiful job keeping this up! Linda, I love all your new pages. The colors on SMILE couldn't be more perfect with the colors in your photos. I love all your DD's "out in nature" photos and you have scrapped them so beautifully. I love those hearts in film strips. I appreciate you adding your pages here. I love opening the thread and seeing new layouts among the chat. kellyr21, Ooooh, I love those palm trees in silhouette against the beautiful sunset! What a wonderful photo. You would think it was a postcard! Thanks for posting it. You know I have a "thing" about palm trees. My DGD is being married next month in southern UT so I will be able to see a few in that area, but nothing like what Calif has. They are so wonderful! I am working on Valentines, a card for Card Club next week, and the Spring border for our Church bulletin board. I need to do the bulletin board before I have surgery. I can't even hold photos up long enough to staple them. I'm glad I have DH to help. I just finished a b-day card for Em whose b-day is Valentine's Day.

I grew up in a very small town in Northern California. One of those towns that if you sneezed on Main Street your mom would be waiting for you with a thermometer when you got home. I just wanted to share our little town's claim to fame. Her name is Edie - she turned 115 yesterday. In the 60's and 70's she lived across the street from my aunt. She was a delightful person who knew everyone and never forgot them. She is the sweetest lady. I want to be like Edie when I grow up! 329426089_2052562668270114_3823465600643753736_n by CLAUDIA LOVELESS, on Flickr

nylene - don't overdo it before surgery - and yes - you definitely need someone helping with that bulletin board. gramma - wow! 115! That's amazing! Happy Birthday Miss Edie! I only got two layouts done last night at my FB crop - the second one, I knew I wanted to use the tea cup paper but finding papers to go with it...that took WAY too long. In the end I channelled Shimelle and just layered a bunch of PP chosen by colour not designs

Love the kitty pages Linda - great photos of the cats lounging! Funny how you had to search for tea-cups. I remember having a cute pp with tea cups and having to figure out a way to use it on a page not dealing with tea! Had a great weekend getaway with DD. Whirlwind tour, lots of fun, AMAZING WEATHER! Lots *more* photos to scrap. I'm so far behind it's really not funny... Are we cropping Friday night? I hope so! gramma - can you imagine 115??? She looks amazing! I hope your weather is better than the coast? kellyr21 - you staying afloat out there? grammadee - belated happy birthday! what did you get up to?

kitbop - so glad you had a wonderful weekend and that the weather was amazing - that's never guaranteed this time of year. I'm hoping for a Friday crop as well - I have Friday evenings (and Wednesday lunchtimes) blocked for scrapping whether there's a crop or not but it's always more fun with company

I want to be that happy lady when I grow up, too, gramma! I had a couple of aunts like that, lived into late 90's riding their positive attitude all the way. Linda, I had really hoped to be hosting a crop every Wednesday, but it seems that every week there is something new that gets in the way. This week I am emptying out the pantry and clearing off some counter space to allow for some handymen to come in and do some work in our kitchen while I am gone. And next week I will be packing to head to the airport hotel for our trip to Orlando, so I don't see one happening then, either... Maybe in March? I did manage to put a couple of pages together yesterday in fits and starts. Will need to get those posted. Can't believe how many you complete! I even forgot about registration yesterday for our in-person Spring crop in March until justjac and pals started chatting about it in a group text! I got on the phone and signed up. So now every weekend in March has some kind of activity booked: hockey-hockey-crop-Easter. Glad your trip was a blast, kitbop. Such a wonderful mother/daughter adventure. Looking forward to seeing some of the pic's. Would drop into a Friday crop just to hear about it, but sadly again I will be busy elsewhere. My dsil's birthday dinner and we will have dgs for the night and most of the day Saturday. The trade off is his mom is going to help cart a bunch of stuff out of the pantry downstairs for the duration. Have a great rest-of-the-week, Pokeys!

grammadee - as busy as you always seem to be - it's amazing how many pages you do get done! I look forward to seeing yesterdays! Orlando next week - have fun! I hope it'll have warmed up some for you by then - our weather keeps flip flopping between cold and nice. Glad you were able to get registered for your crop - it would have been a shame to have missed out. And no worries about Wednesday crops - as I said, I've blocked that time off to scrap either way. Quiet day here today as I'm feeling a little under the weather. I did get a couple more simple pages done last night

Hey Pokeys! Whew! What a week it's been, I am already buried at work and it's not the busy season yet lol. And the days are flying by so fast. This may sound odd, but time seriously seems to be going at warp speed, and it's a little unsettling. Although, now that I just said that, maybe it's that I'm still trying to get used to the shift in my hours. I won't be able to join in a crop until later Friday, closer to 9:00 PM EST kitbop but I would totally pop in for at least a chat if there is one. gramma 2 more days! I don't know, I feel really good about the Chiefs. It's been fun catching some of the player interviews. There is an 11 yr old reporter interviewing the players he was amazing! When is your cruise? kellyr21 were you caught in that massive rain? A year's worth of rain in one day, wow. Happy Belated Birthday!!! grammadee! kitbop, I can't wait to see the photos and hear about your weekend! I haven't done any scrapping at. all. I miss it!

Happy Friday, Pokeys! This week has felt long for me, too, joyfulnana. Maybe because my friend and I started going to the gym three mornings a week. We were going in December, but between my tweaked back at the beginning of January and her sinus infection after that we hadn't been back. It doesn't seem like getting up a half an hour earlier and doing a slow 30 minutes on the treadmill should tire me out that much, but I was feeling tired and grumpy yesterday afternoon. It was my mom's birthday Wednesday, so we chatted on the phone. She went out for lunch in the nearest big town with her friends. She is moving out of her house this spring and into a senior's apartment. She decided she didn't want to be responsible for yard work or snow removal anymore (or even figuring out who to hire to do it.) We'll (my siblings and me and the spouses, too) be helping her downsize from her three bedroom house into a one bedroom apartment, and then she'll put her house on the market. gramma and joyfulnana enjoy the Superbowl. I won't be watching. I don't watch many sports other than curling. I might join the crop around 7 or 7:30 EST if it's going. I've been slowly plugging away at cleaning and organizing my scrap room, so I have stuff I hope my friends will want to take home with them from the crop in March: a box of stamps, washi, Project Life cards. I know grammadee won't take any of it because she has a lot of her own stuff, but maybe one of the others will, or I'll offer it to the other ladies at the crop. I like that Happy Birthday paper Linda. I need to find a few sheets of generic, not too little kid, birthday paper. I probably need to go through my stash. I know I have some gnome birthday paper, which is hardly what I'd call generic! I hope to spend some time in my craft room either Saturday or Sunday to do a bit more cleaning and a bit more creating. Have a good weekend!

How is everyone this Saturday? I am tired b/c I had another night when sleep was elusive. Maybe it was having dgs in the house and in my care. When my own kids were small I don't think I ever really slept. But other times he's been here I have slept fine. Linda, I hope your rest yesterday has helped YOU turn the corner. kitbop I hope you had a few people join you last night. Or if not that you got some scrapping done yourself. Dgs wants to make Valentines today. I found some I bought last year to use as PL cards, and a punny pp line, so he should have enough panels to glue on the front of card blanks, and we will be working on those shortly.

I've got errands and things today, other wise just waiting for tomorrow lol. I'm going to feel bad for you gramma . This is so weird to have a good football team to root for. I was thinking of opening a crop in the morning around 11AM EST if anyone might be interested in scrapping for a while. kitbop , grammadee , justjac , scrappyrabbit , Linda , gramma . Linda I hope you are feeling better, nylene not tagging you for the crop, I know you aren't available Sunday I just found the ERAs tour streamed in it's entirely on youtube. From the one of the nights in Tokyo. The crowd is sooo quiet, you can actually hear her lol. I'll be watching that off and on lol. I hope you are all having a good weekend! Go Chiefs!!! haha! lol.
