Hi, from the border of Maryland and Pennsylvania, friends! We just enjoyed a car breakfast from “Sheetz”. Pretty good and DH 👍 their milkshakes. What a trip. We’ll be home in time for me to jump on the crop tonight. I’ll be late and car weary, but I’ll be there! Linda: uuuuuuuugh on the expensive week. Economic stress on top of functional stress. I ❤️ several of your layouts but the “baby boy” by basic grey was one of my faves and you used it so beautifully! grammadee: safe travels today. Hope the weather is good for the drive. Your travel time is About the same time that we’re travelling today actually. We drove through a snow storm coming down to DC (dang Pennsylvania mountains!) and hope we don’t hit snow on the way home. Can’t wait to hear about your trip! nylene, you have no idea how “lost in time” we’ve been this week! Kinda nice to be honest. We loved DC. It is so unique. I’m pretty done with museums for a while 😂

Change of plans here. Flight delays got us back to Edmonton late. Grabbed a hotel room. Much to dgs’s disappointment, there will be no rush to hockey this morning. We are all exhausted. Going to stop at Costco for gas and a few household supplies, then head home. Grampa—who has been home all week—texted me a grocery list for the Co-op in our town. I will have to do a grocery run after I pick up my car at @dd’s

It was lovely chatting with you guys last night Linda, nylene, kitbop. I got the stitching done on the page I'm working on, and the rest should come together fairly quickly. Hoping to finish that up today. Errands are run and now to get some housework done. Tomorrow will be busy with DS2 and possibly Rudy, so today will be a quiet, chill day to relax mostly. I'm typing with a can laying on my arm I bought her some new toys while I was out and we've been playing lol. It's such a pretty day here and will be for the next week. Cool nights in the 40s and highs in the 70s. Just perfect. grammadee I'll bet you will be glad to be back in your own bed. Waving hi to everyone!

joyfulnana, thank you so much for the crop last night. I finished the page I started last night, added some journaling to another and have 3 pages I can post. I hope you have a relaxing day for your busy day tomorrow. Linda, it's so nice to see those 5 pages up close. You did such a great job with the dragonfly paper. Your matching dragonfly is so cute. Great design on the camping pages. The three papers layered together in the corner make such a nice embellishment. The photos on the water are so pretty and your canoe, tree and title are perfect for all those photos. I can't believe you finished all of those last night! kitbop, are you feeling hung over today after your long day and late scrapping last night? I look forward to seeing your DC photos. It was nice chatting with you last night. grammadee, I hope you have some time to catch your breath when you finally get home. I don't know where you get your energy, but I need a bit of it! It will be nice to have you back on the board.

I'm hoping to get some scrappy time today as well. Change of plans here. Flight delays got us back to Edmonton late. Grabbed a hotel room. Much to dgs’s disappointment, there will be no rush to hockey this morning. We are all exhausted. (((Hugs))) I bet you are all exhausted - that was a long day even before the delays. I hope you can get some rest. kitbop - You had a long day also - were you able to catch up on rest today? nylene - thank you - the dragonfly papers and alphas are all a collection kit - it wasn't labelled when I got it so I don't know what company - but it has such nice colours and I love the dragonflies. Just finished up groceries - need to move laundry along, finish labelling and sorting the Antartica photos that came in yesterday's mail, and then hopefully get some scrappy time later. Dinner tonight is super easy -I picked up take and bake pizza at Aldi.

The crop was just what I needed last night! It let me completely disengage from vacation mode, but prevented me from cleaning/laundry/unpacking while I was tired. Perfect! Here's the layout I finished using the January Alison Davis sketch. First true layout in a few weeks as mostly I've been focussed on my December album, cards, and MIL's calendar! layout barefoot photobomb by kirstendrew, on Flickr I've finished most of the chores for today, and plan to sit down and scrapbook more. What I really need to work on is planning some "chapters" in my scrapbook but today I think I'll just pick a fun photo/story and play. Linda - jealous of your pizza. I just came back from the store too (there was NO food in the house!) and DH is making supper. grammadee- when we came back from Orlando last year, our flight was supposed to get in at 11pm, then a 1 hour drive home. But we got delayed again and again and ended up home at 3:30AM! There was no way anyone was going to be functional in the morning. I'm so glad you guys grabbed a hotel. LOL about dgs having the energy to even think about hockey! You must feel stupified. That day my brain and body felt like...velcro? Does that even make sense? Looking forward to a trip report. I hope it was everything and more.

Linda I love all your nature embellishments especially those dragonflies. kitbop wonderful take on the sketch. That is such a great picture. grammadee I’m glad you made it home safe and sound. @jofulnana I’m sorry I missed the crop. Dean’s dad had to get his appendix out ,so he’s been in the hospital since the middle of the night Tuesday. It didn’t rupture but it was perforated so he’s still on IV antibiotics. He’s also struggling with short term memory worse than usual with everything that’s happened Other than that I’ve had a nice week off: visited my mom, read, knitted, and crafted.

Good Sunday morning, Pokeys! (((((Hugs)))) to you and Dean and his dad, justjac. Hoping he will get mentally back to normal once he is back home. Hospitals are weird places. On the one hand, everything in your day is run by the clock--doctor's visits, meds, IV bag changes, meals--but on the other hand each day is the same and they feel like a place time forgot. How is your dh doing, nylene? Hoping he is recovering well. Glad you are able to join in some of the crops and play with paper. I hope to get into the Gallery later to leave some love for you and AussieMeg and kitbop and others, and into the sharing thread to leave love for Linda and others. Glad you got home safely, kitbop, and were able to SCRAP that evening. Oh to be young again! You mentioned feeling like velcro. I came home feeling like a puddle of sludge. Didn't help that I have the beginnings of a cold or that my gut chose Friday to inform me it was not happy. When I got home yesterday I went right to bed with a heated blanket and basically stayed there until this morning. Wasn't sleeping the whole time. Managed to watch most of the Scotties 3-4 game on TV. gramma I know that you will have had a marvelous time at Cirque du Soliel. I am trying to remember if I already completed a page about our experience there in December. If I did I don't think I shared it yet--thinking I was going to use it for my last 29-4-29 sample. Will have to check the un-albumed pages sitting on the hearth...

kitbop - I always try to plan something super simple on grocery day and no one had any ideas so pizza it was which really only made me happy since DH isn't a big fan and DD only likes REAL pizza, lol. They ate it though. justjac - prayers for all of you - hopefully your FIL will be on the mend soon. grammadee -welcome home! I'm sorry you ended up unwell - hopefully the day in bed has helped. Today is off to a slow start - everyone slept in and then I finished up a book - I'm behind on my reading challenge - mostly because I've tackled a few long books and I need to read some short ones to get back on track. I didn't get any scrapping done yesterday - just a bunch of photo labelling. Hoping to get more Boundary Waters pages done today. Making corned beef, colcannon, and carrots for dinner tonight - got to use the cabbage, carrots, and potatoes from the produce box.

Linda I LOVE these pages! Bloom is my favorite page design, all the page designs are so cool! nylene I cracked an egg this morning, by sticking my thumb in, and then remembered I wanted to try pulling it instead lol. Maybe next time. kitbop I love your layout! Those papers really go with the dress you were wearing. It's like they were made for each other! justjac I hope Dean's dad recovers quickly. Your week off sounds heavenly. I would love a week like that. grammadee I hope you get some rest glad you are home nice and safe I have felt like I did't scrap much last year, but I ordered my PL app pages today and I really scrapped the whole year! Not having a finished page in hand makes it feel like I'm not getting anything done. I love the pages I make in the app but it reinforces that I'm married to paper and prefer to scrap that way lol. Do you struggle with anything like that AussieMeg? I know you aren't married to paper the way I am lol.

Thank you joyfulnana - I wasn't at all sure I would like Bloom while I was making it - it's from Shimelle's Use your stickers class - but I'm actually really happy with how it came out. Yay for scrapping more than you thought you did! What a nice surprise! I did another layout in my quest to finish Boundary Waters and get closer on 29-4-29 - I really fell far behind on that this year. Dinner is over and I won our trivia game So back to scrapping I think

Linda- how wonderful that your DD takes selfies at her venues for you! It's so nice to see her adventures recorded for her like this. The items tucked into the edge on "best day effort" adds so much interest! joyfulnana - where did you order your pages from? Are you happy with the quality? Yay for a year recorded!

Linda , I love the pages you are doing for Annabelle’s adventures. I love that page with the 3 sections from AussieMeg ’s challenge. The papers are so pretty and I love the simplicity of the embellishments. This page lets the photo take center stage! Great job on the floral page with flowers and jewels cascading down the page. Your background circles on 2023 are a fun look. So glad she takes photos of herself. The Nature Fun is another beautiful page. I love the division in cardstock and patterned paper and the bold letters in your title! LOL, I love the camping gnomes! Cute page. I love the embellishments you have used on Day 6 and Arrival. I put a bunch of these pages in my Pinterest acct. Lots here to scraplift. Thank you for posting. joyfulnana , how did I not know you do PL too? Where do you have them printed? Do you use the app to do them? I’d love to see some! kitbop , I love how your page turned out. Love the dress you are wearing. You have love in the gallery. Are you recuperated and back at work after your vacation? grammadee , I am sorry you got sick when you got home. Are you up and perking yet or just taking it easy. How was WDW? I can’t wait to see your pages. justjac , I am so sorry about Dean's dad. I hope they can get him healthy and home. Sometimes hospitals will bring out the dementia. My mom was always worse in the hospital, but would settle back in well when she got home. I hope things go well for him. gramma , are you home from your Vegas jaunt? I hope you had a great time. We missed you at the crop but were jealous of your adventures. kellyr21 , are you expecting more rain in your area this week? We are getting snow tomorrow and my knees are really feeling it. I keep thinking spring is coming but then we get snow. Yesterday was warmish and the sky was blue and pretty. We haven't had many days like that. Are there flowers around your apt complex and are they in bloom? I have a list of things I want to get finished before Angie comes. I probably won't get much scrapping done this week. Steve gets his stitches out on Wed. and we are having lunch with long-time friends from home on Thurs. Then it is March! How can it be March already?

I am home. It was a wonderful trip. There ended up being 11 of us. "O" on Friday night - I had seen a version of it several years ago but watching my grandkids see it for the first time was the best part. Then breakfast together on Saturday and the group split to go on their own adventure. My daughter had never been to Vegas so watching her was the best part. Then dinner together as a group - the waiter actually got us in and out with plenty of time to get to the show. Then on to the Barry Manilow show. Oh my! It was great watching my grandkids really enjoy the show and singing along to most of the songs, word for word. Best part? BARRY!! What a performer!
It was a whirlwind trip - one I won't forget.

Look what I brought back from Florida I was starting to have a bit more energy and wondering if I would have enough in the tank to drive to book club with justjac tomorrow. Thought I might be good to go but decided to test just in case. Was actually hoping it would rule OUT Covid. Guess not. Meanwhile I have touched all the food and half the dishes and kitchenware today returning the food to the pantry after new shelves were installed and dealing with the dishes dh has used…

nylene your layouts are so pretty! I love the page designs, and the one of Haley is my favorite. She looks like a pistol lol. I don't do PL every year, and this is the first year I actually finished the year in quite awhile. I did use the Project Life app, which makes it pretty easy. kitbop I ordered them from Persnikety Prints because they had the best price on 12x12 prints. I haven't ordered from them in several years but the quality was good then. My order shipped today so I'll report back once I get them. gramma I'm so glad you had a great trip. It sounds like it was pretty wonderful! I know it's only Monday, but I'm going to open a crop Friday if anyone wants to join same time 7:30PM EST. Oh no grammadee! Oh what a bummer, and mess from the sounds of it with the dishes. I hope it's a "weak' case of Covid. That's awful

Oh no grammadee! Rest and recover - sounds like you are mustering through already. My 2nd time with covid was airport/travel related. Well, you'll never forget when you got it, anyways. joyfulnana - hoping to be there Friday - I can't remember what's on my agenda anymore. gramma - wow, what a packed in festival you had! Sounds like a many good SB layouts to me. It's so good to hear Barry is going strong! nylene - Hailey is such a sweetie! She simply couldn't be any cuter. But where's her bow? Wasn't Swayzee always in a bow? Are her parents finally "tapping out"? LOL, the 2nd baby can change family functioning.
