Happy Sunday! Hoping you all are having a nice relaxing day. No big plans today so far, just relaxing. Maybe we will get to the park later. We'll see. linda- Great to see all your layouts. Maybe I will get a page started this month. I have been so into painting, it seems to cover my creative needs, now. grammadee- I hope to scrap a few of the pictures from the flower show. Have fun with your family at the play. joyfulnana- Are you watching any sports these days? We are still following the NBA even though my team is done. I am looking forward to the Summer Olympics. Should be great in Paris.

Hi everyone Exhausting weekend! Most of our house is moved - will move the remnants this week, but the necessary stuff is in. Although there is still an uncomfortable stack of boxes in the garage. We're sleeping on mattresses on the floor yet. 2 of the 3 cats are VERY upset. One spent all day sleeping in the laundry room sink. The other is hiding INSIDE the hide-a-bed sofa. The 3rd cat - the orange one of course - thinks this is a very grand adventure! I spent too many hours today getting my scraproom 3/4 unpacked. What a job. I'm sure you all understand! What is left is my actual desk space and most used tools/bins. Unlike my other space in the basement, this one I need to make look slightly tidy, and that's proving hard. nylene , I thought of you as I fell down the stairs... twice... saved myself once because I was holding the railing so only "skied" down 4 steps before my grip stopped me. The other time was the basement and I saved myself with a twisted ankle and scraped up arm/elbow, but again was lucky to stop before I went head over arse (it was a close one). The basement stairs are not carpeted, they are painted wood. DH put carpet on them the day after I fell and texted me: "I won't let them hurt you again". Love that man. So I should be good to go on Friday! Looking forward to seeing you guys.

Oh kitbop You do NOT have to fall to be part of this club! Glad you are okay and that your dh has your back. And glad most of the heavy work is done. Too funny about the kitties Dd's cat has been through a bunch of moves with them, but as long as her stand and her litter box are in her new digs, she is pretty quick to adapt. Although this last time she DID commandeer the walk-in closet for a few days. Good to hear from you, kellyr21. And looking forward to seeing your flower pages. I DO understand how you can get away from one creative endeavour to focus on a different one. The kids--aged 8 to 16--did a marvelous job of Matilda, the Musical. Dgs managed his energy level by helping the volunteers to clear tables and get dishes ready for the big dishwasher in the kitchen. I will spend some time in the Sharing thread tomorrow Linda to look at all your pages more closely. My fav among this last batch is that starburst background. You are becoming a PRO at those. I squeezed in a couple of LO's this morning before the dinner theatre brunch. Not sure if I will get anything accomplished in here tomorrow, but dh has decided to drive himself to his Tuesday morning appointment a couple of hours away, so I should have the house to myself and I hope to get some pages done then. So sorry about your neighbour, nylene. I, too, would love to see a photo of your dh's Mickey ears woodwork.

(((Hugs))) kitbop - those falls sound painful but I'm glad they weren't worse. Your dh is definitely a keeper! Sounds like you guys have gotten a TON accomplished moving wise and I'm glad your scraproom is coming along well. Poor kitties - moving is hard when you don't understand. Hopefully as you guys get settled in, the new place will start to look and smell familiar and they'll be happier. It'll be a quiet week here - DH leaves on a business first thing tomorrow - he'll drop DD off at school first so she can have a bit extra sleep - her first AP test is tomorrow afternoon. He won't be back until late Thursday - just in time for DD's 2nd AP test (that one starts at 8am Fri). Her others are the following week. I have easy meals planned (including delivery pizza) and will hopefully have plenty of scrappy time. I do need to finish sewing that skirt though. My older DD's birthday is Tuesday but her brother left Saturday and they're waiting to celebrate until he's back so I have a little extra time to get it in the mail. grammadee - I'm glad that the musical went well and your grandson is putting that energy to good use.

Linda I love your purple layout. grammadee I'm glad your musical adventure turned out. kitbop ouch. Take care of yourself. I struggled just organizing my room. I can't imagine moving it! We had a good visit with my nieces and SIL. A bit of an adventure because the power went out at the venue for an hour Saturday morning, but they managed to get back on schedule by the afternoon. This was my first dance competition but it seemed like the adjudicator was a bit biased for the hometown studio so the girls were a bit unhappy with some of their scores. I managed to start my mother's day card and watched a couple videos on how to assemble my new Lawn Fawn Give it a Whirl die set, but didn't finish. Hopefully tonight I will have some time so I can get it mailed ASAP. Hope you have a good Monday to start your week!

Thank you justjac - I really like purple but rarely find the opportunity to use it but those pretty flowers gave me a good excuse. I'm sorry your nieces weren't happy with their scores. Hard when it seems biased. DH was supposed to leave this morning for a business trip - he was dreading the flight and his blood pressure spiked so he's not going and will hopefully get in to see the dr

kitbop , no, no, no! You cannot join the club! I am so sorry for your falls. I'm glad you were not badly hurt. What a sweet and caring husband to add carpet! I hope you heal quickly. You have had so much to do and probably a lot left. Take it easy. I'm sorry the cats are having a hard time. Surely time will help. Take care of yourself! Linda , I am loving your pages. I have a 2" stack of photos I need to scrap and I'm coming to this thread to scraplift your 4x6's. I,too, love that purple page and I love the school portrait with the daisies. I love all of them! Thank you for posting them here too. kellyr21 , I look forward to seeing what you will do with your flower photos. Would you believe that it's snowing here right now. No flowers for us for a while. I'm glad you have been concentrating on your painting. It is so beautiful! AussieMeg , you said you got a whole bunch of free papers and embellishments over iNSD. Have you used any of them? I'd love to see what you have done with them. grammadee , you seem to have weathered the "tending" and are up and busy scrapping again. What a joy you are to that boy! He's a very lucky kid to have such a loving set of grandparents so close. I hope you get some "you" time now to do what you love doing. justjac , I am eager to see what you do with your new toy. I have watched an instruction video and it looks really cool. Hope it goes well for you. I am sorry about the disappointment for your nieces. It will be a learning experience for them, that competition is often subjective and not always fair. My DD spent a whole summer making bread one year for 4-H. She baked at least twice a week and if we couldn't use it all she delivered loaves to the neighbors. Her bread was perfection. But the loaf she took to the fair to be judged had a huge air bubble in the center when the judges cut it. I thought she would be devastated. She just said, "My dad thinks I make the best bread and that's more important than a blue ribbon." Those disappointments are character building! I saw the Dr. on Friday and he said to remove the sling and use it only when I might be around a group of people who might hug me. (that happened at the viewing for my neighbor.) My arm is being more useful to me, little by little, but it really aches by the end of the day. I start PT on Wed. and expect some real aching then. I have driven to the grocery store but it's hard and I will do as little driving as possible for a while. The driving is not bad, but the pulling into a parking space is difficult. I cut out and made a card this weekend and I'm so antsy to start scrapping. The dishwasher was not nearly as easy as Eric thought and it meant 2 trips to Home Depot and water squirting all over and a flood on my wood floor. Yikes. Putting new things in an old house has not been easy lately. Poor Eric! I'm putting off scrapping until I can get everything put back under the sink and re-clean the kitchen floor, so later this week. Thanks for the condolences on our neighbor. Such a good man. They had a webcast of the funeral so Em went with Steve and I stayed at home and watched.

Thank you nylene - I had a productive iNSD weekend and am hoping to get some more scrapping in this afternoon I'm so glad things are progressing well with your arm and you get a bit of a break from the sling. I hope PT is helpful and not too painful. Yikes on the dishwasher - that doesn't sound fun at all and I'm glad you and Steve had Eric's help.

Thank you grammadee - he seems to be doing much better now - I really think it was the anxiety over flying that caused his blood pressure to shoot up. I'm hoping his doctor can help him get that under control before our big UK trip in the fall. Almost all of those buildings are actually fussy cut from PP - only the biggest one at the bottom on the right is a diecut as are the two words strips/arrows and the camera is a sticker

Linda, I love your scrapping page. What a great idea for a photo. Your clusters are fabulous and all the cute embellishments allow that photo to really shine! Scraplifting this for sure. Your fussy cut houses on Jacksonville are so clever. Perfect touch. Glad your DH is doing better. Can they give him something to relax that will just last while you are flying this fall? Because of my claustrophobia, I totally understand someone's fear of something like flying. Hope he continues to do well.

Good Tuesday morning, Pokeys! Dh left for his appointment early, but I slept in, so got a later start at scrapbooking than I had planned. But I have a couple of LO's done. The *last* (knocking on wood) hockey pages for the year. Having another cup of coffee and figuring out what I will take on next...
I do need to drive into town on this rainy morning to buy groceries (It's 10% Tuesday) and drop off some birthday cards at the post office. But I hope I can get one more LO at least started before then...

grammadee - glad you got some scrappy time in - will you be hopping on the crop this afternoon? I didn't make yesterday's but should be able to today. DH is back to work and DD is at school with an after school review scheduled until 530. I have a couple more SG sketches set aside to work on. editing to add a layout - looks like no crop today and the last layout from this day trip in Sep 2015

Hello Pokeys! My goodness you guys have some magnificent pages over in the sharing thread! And I've only looked through the first three pages of that thread. So much beautiful work. Linda I love what you did with those iNSD elements from the crop. I'm going to scrap what I did instead of getting to play along with the crop for that challenge lol. kitbop I hope you are feeling better and doing alright! The poor kitties, I hope they settle in soon. And that the orange one doesn't give you too much grief. Is the house coming together well? I sure haven't figured out a way to keep the table and the immediate area tidy. It's just a clutterfest over there lol. kellyr21 I haven't been following the NBA this year, which is surprising, because when the season ended last year I thought I had been pulled right back into it lol. gramma is probably mad at me for not picking a team she hates so she can talk trash lol. grammadee it's good to hear you are scrapping again! I'll take that as a sign you are feeling rested justjac that sucks about the competition. People could be fair and unbiased if they really wanted to be. But as nylene said, that's how it can be. nylene it sounds like you are making good progress. I hope your wood floor survived the dishwasher mishap. I drove 4 hours each way to my nephew's wedding. It was through Kansas and it was the most beautiful, peaceful drive on mostly out in the middle of nowhere 2 lane highways. And the wedding was a blast! We had so much fun and I'm so happy I went. I'll open the crop 7:30EST unless kitbop wants to start earlier. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone! We have to figure out a good time for grammadee to be able to join in too. We always miss you.

Today is DD24's birthday - she's home alone as DS left Saturday so they'll celebrate when he's back. But I'm so proud of her - she took the bus downtown, bought herself a nice lunch (fish and chips) and ate in a park, then she found a nature trail and walked it (1.5 miles EACH way - it was not a loop) and treated herself to ice cream when she finished and then went to the library and borrowed a movie to watch tonight. So she made a whole day out of treating herself. When I called this evening, she was waiting on UberEats to deliver dinner. We surprised her with a delivery of Insomnia Cookies so dessert was covered. I think she's had a good day!

Happy Tuesday! Waving hi and hope you had a nice day. I continued work on my new art today and enjoyed out lovely weather. Here is a card kit I made back in March. I love these kits and this Simple Stories Noteworthy kit is so cute. I ordered and got some pictures last night so I hope to take some time to scrap or make a mini album with the pics. Simple Stories Noteworthy Card Kit by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr nylene- So glad you are getting stronger! Cheering and praying for you, my friend. OMG, snowing??? That is so crazy it's May and still that cold. Hang in there. linda- Happy Birthday to your dd. Wow, you have made some wonderful layouts! I enjoyed seeing them all. I especially liked seeing the page with you in your happy craftroom. Go, girl! joyfulnana- What a terrific drive to the wedding. It does sound like you had a great time, too. grammadee- The play sounds, fun too. I haven't been to a play in forever! I would like to see one again. kitbop- Missed that you are moving. I hope you are almost done with everything and SO glad you didn't get hurt with the fall or almost fall. justjac- Is the school season almost over? This year is going so fast. Geez!

Good morning, Pokeys! So good to see you sharing pages, again, joyfulnana. Abby makes such a sweet photo subject. Can't wait to see the Da Vinci page! So funny how they don't want their photo taken, yet can't wait to see themselves in the album! Glad you had a great time at the wedding. I, too, find driving through farming areas relaxing. It is only driving in cities that brings me stress. Glad your dd had such a wonderful birthday, treating herself, Linda. Did you finish her skirt? How is your dh today? Hoping his flying anxiety does not ground your UK visit. Would you go alone if he was unable to go? I have had to accept that my dh's travel anxiety will not allow him to go more than an hour from home, so all visits to family further away are done solo. I left love for your cards on Flickr, kellyr21. Will head over to the Sharing thread to look at your latest crop of pages, Linda. Will be keeping an eye out for your cards, nylene. I just spent an hour placing 65 copied pages into page protectors, and those pages cover only about three years of dgd's life! Had to quit to rest my back. Why did I think I should do that job leaning over a bed where the pages were all spread out? When I know I need to be standing up and working at counter height? Tomorrow I drive to Edmonton for my annual Mammogram. While in the city I want to check out a Seniors' clinic that looks on-line like it might be a good referral clinic for dh to resolve some of his interrelated health issues and med's. I had planned NOT to do any craft related shopping while there, but now I need to look for a couple of good sized albums. The ones I ordered from Amazon are not nearly as large as they appeared in the promo pic. They looked like 3" binders, but in reality they are only 1". I was thinking I might be able to jump into the Friday crop this week, but now dd and I need to go to the meat market in the next town to pick up the beef from the animal that was taken there by our nephew to be butchered. By the time we get back it will probably be late for the crop, and I will probably need to just crash.

kellyr21 - love those cards - such cheerful colours! and I love the retro images! grammadee - ouch - yes assembling albums needs tro be done at counter height! Good luck with the mammogram and I hope you find a good clinic for your DH. We'll miss you on Friday. NO the skirt is not done. I'm setting it aside until I can get my machine serviced. I'm just too frustrated with the other machine right now. DH is doing ok - I think after his appointment next week, we're going to have to have a serious talk about whether he can manage the UK trip or not. We're going with my sister/BIL and we're buying the rail passes in July - they're group passes so the whole group has to be together to use them so if he cancels afterwards we'll all be in a bind. I'm okay travelling without him but I don't know how he feels about me going if he can't. I suspect if he doesn't go, I won't end up going either.

Happy Wednesday! Sending sunny greetings to you all. I actually made a layout today!!! I saw a layout Paige Evans did and I thought it would be perfect for one of my flower show pictures. SO fun using up all those leftover flowers I had sitting around. Thanks linda and grammadee for the praise on those cards, too. Such a fun card kit! gramma is probably mad at me for not picking a team she hates so she can talk trash lol joyfulnana Mad - nope. I had nothing to argue about - our team let it all slip away in the couple of weeks of the season. kellyr21 I really, really like your flower lady layouts. So pretty kitbop Falling? Take care my friend!! Are you able to begin enjoying your new home? Do you have your scrapping space set up so you can play? Will we see you Friday night? nylene So good to hear you are doing better. Just take it slowly and don't push to hard to quickly. Like I would do!! Linda Can you come visit me? I'll turn you loose in my craft room and you can crank out some layouts. grammadee How is you DH? Swelling, weepy legs are no darned fun! Ken battled them for years. And compression socks!! Heaven help me I had to put them on for him most of the time. I haven't done much scrapping for the last 3 or 4 weeks. I think my decision to step out of the challenge teams has had a direct effect on me scrapping. But I have gone card crazy! I have 10 sets of 12 to 18 cards each cut out and ready to assemble. Spring can't decide to come and stay here. One day it rains cats and dogs, then we get sun, then wind and summer is supposed to be here full force this weekend with temperatures in the 90's. It's like living in a weather blender! I got a new Silhouette Cameo 5. Battling getting it set up right now. For a reasonably "smart" woman I am definitely challenged when it comes to technology!! I hope to see some of you tomorrow evening!

kellyr21 I love your flower page! That photo is perfect for the layout and papers you chose. I have about 7 weeks of school left. We go until the end of June here. gramma good luck with the new Silhouette. I'm still plugging away with my Cameo 2 (I think). I hope to use it more in the future because I have given it a permanent home out on my old desk. grammadee have a good day in the city. I'm sure you will find some other scrappy goodies besides albums. Then I can see it all when I come visit. Linda I have my fingers crossed that you will get to go on your UK trip. joyfulnana that is an amazing costume. So fun. I love a good excuse to get dressed up. After three days of rain, it is a beautiful day here. I'm hoping to get some creative time over the next while since my company is gone and I don't have to worry about cleaning up so much.

kellyr21 , your batch of cards is gorgeous. I love the variety and all the colors. That was a great kit. I'm glad you put it all together and added your own touches. Love, love, love your layout. Those Paige flowers were made for that page and framing the whole page with them was a great choice. I will get over to the gallery soon to leave you some love. Glad to see you scrapping along with painting! joyfulnana , that costume is so cute on him....oh, he probably wouldn't like CUTE...distinguished! I love teachers who assign things like Wax Museum. You know that Rudy will always remember what he learned about DiVinci! Those things make school fun. I'm glad you had a good time at the wedding. The long drive must have been worth it. Linda , I spent quite a while yesterday pinning a bunch of your layouts so I can have them at hand when I tackle my stack of photos. Still can't get in the "pull out all the papers, embellishments, etc" stage. But I'm slowly getting to where the left hand is somewhat useful. I'm loving all of your pages. gramma , I can't believe you have made over 100 cards. Have you posted an example of each? I haven't been to the sharing thread or gallery for a while. I need to do that. I pulled together enough scraps and a few papers to make up 8 kits of a card I will use when it's my turn to teach at card club. I think it's my turn this month, but I will probably need to wait until next month. It was fun putting them in individual bags, anticipating putting them together. justjac , I'll bet you are eager for school to end. Our school year ends in May each year. End of June sounds like a long way away. Hope it goes well for you and that you have students who stay to the end. Your weather sounds like ours, rain, wind, a bit of snow and then a nice day, then rain again. All the Spring blossoms are on the fruit trees and we have had some icy rains and big winds. That never bodes well for local orchards. grammadee , I will miss you tomorrow night. Seems like ages since I saw you online. It sounds like you have a very busy day planned for tomorrow. I hope you find the albums you want and some other fun goodies too. Drive carefully! I had my first PT yesterday. The therapist walked in and said I'm sorry to tell you the bad news. My surgeon died suddenly on Monday. He was 54, a good friend of my son. It was a fluke embolism after some minor back surgery following ankle surgery a bit earlier. Very shocking. The PT went well, but he is being especially careful not to put pressure on the screws holding the tendons. He seemed pleased with my progress and sent me home with a pulley and instructions for daily PT. Our microwave died last night so we are in replacement mode, looking for something simple. The simpler it is, the easier it is for Steve to use it too. I have no reason to gripe, it was 21 years old, so it served us well.

Just cut all the pieces and put them in photo boxes to assemble while I watch important things on TV (like Survivor)
