Do you have your scrapping space set up so you can play? Will we see you Friday night? Yes and yes! It's not finished...tomorrow I'm going to run some chores with DH, including an ikea stop for a 4x4 kallax cube for me. That will mean I have an entire wall filled with kallax cubes (they will fit side by side perfectly). I love the lighting. I did have to put my desk under the window. I was hoping to put it in the middle of the room facing the door and a TV on the wall, but it's too small a space for that. But I'm loving it otherwise, and bought myself a new ipad stand so I can pea crop easily!!! We have lost 2 kitties We were keeping them in, but yesterday the back door blew open (getting to know the house iykwim) and 2 got out. The 3rd is far too timid to step outside thank goodness. One who got out is a wild boy who will likely be fine and come home when he's hungry. He is the one who claws thru screens or jumps out of 2nd floor windows to escape the house, so he'll stay away a couple of days just to show us how angry he is. The other is my orange chronically ill cat. We're really worried about him - no sign of him. DD is beside herself. Please say a little prayer for the fur babies for me!

Can you put a litter box and/or some clothing/blanket that smells familiar outside to help them find their way home? Definitely post on any neighbourhood groups (on FB or Nextdoor or the like) so your new neighbours can let you know if/when they spot them. (((Hugs)))

Happy Thursday! Hope you all are doing well today. It has been a wonderful day weather wise. Nice and sunny. Last night we went out to this Mexican restaurant we have been wanting to try for a long time. We had a nice time and the food was good. My leftovers tasted even better today. LOL! Thanks for all the praise on my last layout. So fun to make. I made another lo I scraplifted from Scrapbook dot com. I loved Simple Stories "Wildflower" collection used it today to make this layout. Love how it turned out. Blessed Day Layout by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr grammadee - I used the flower ephemera from Paige's "Blooming Wild" collection. I had so many leftover from previous projects they came in handy for this layout. kitbop - Oh no! I hope your cats return home soon. Hang in there! I did leave some praise in the gallery for you, too. justjac - So about a month more of school. Do you have any Summer vacay plans? nylene - I am glad you are improving. Hope the PT gets you back to normal soon. linda - I totally understand flying anxiety. I have that, too. But I hope you still can take your trip.

How far is the new home from your old one? Could he have headed there?
When dd's cat took off in a rain storm a few years ago, the vet told her to put its litter outside on the deck. Apparently they can detect their litter by smell from up to a mile away. Also, remember to check any open sheds or houses under construction. Once when one of our ds's moved, their cat took up residence in the new construction next door for several days.

kellyr21 - another gorgeous layout - I love that pink on you and the papers pick it up perfectly! kitbop - I hope your kitties have returned - our family is praying bad thunderstorms here yesterday evening (60mph gusts - glad we took those trees down) and this morning (with power outages and brownouts). DD17 has her US History AP exam this morning so I'm hoping the school has power and testing isn't disrupted.

Oh no, nylene! Such sad news about your surgeon. (((((HUGS))))) But glad that your PT is helping and not too painful. But "screws in tendons"? Ouch! Another beautiful page, kellyr21. I will go give it a closer look in the Gallery. Glad you didn't have those trees to worry about during that storm, Linda. And I hope all goes well with your dd's big exam. My mammogram and ultrasound were clear. They told me to come back in a year. Stopped in at the Seniors' clinic and it sounds like it might be a good fit to figure out some of dh's problems. It is a huge operation and also has a Pain Clinic. I am going to phone to ask if, with referrals from our gp, we could perhaps set up appointments for dh at both clinics (same complex) in the same day. I made a quick stop at Michaels' yesterday, but ended up getting only page protectors and a few packs of stickers for the kids' sports pages coming up--soccer, baseball, lacrosse. Ended up ordering from Amazon again for the album, but this time I went with the Pioneer brand I am familiar with and double checked with the size chart they had on that item (but didn't have on the ones I ordered earlier). Heading out this afternoon to take dd & dgs to pick up the beef. But first, I need to do a bit of organizing today to get ready for my playdate here with justjac tomorrow. Really looking forward to that. Not sure what projects I want to work on. Thus, the organizing today...

The therapist walked in and said I'm sorry to tell you the bad news. My surgeon died suddenly on Monday. He was 54, a good friend of my son. I missed this somehow - nylene , that's simply awful and you will probably feel like your shoulder has "loose ends" because you can't finish up with him! I turn 54 in December kellyr21 - what a beautiful soft page accentuated by the torn edges! grammadee - yay for negative tests for you. Your seniors centre sounds wonderful - it's so nice to hear about less urban places having resources like this. Linda - I have been enjoying your layouts, thanks for posting them. I just haven't been able to respond to tell you! No contact from our kitties. We're very worried but I haven't lost hope. We're doing well - the new house is great, but life is so busy just at baseline that adding unpacking, organizing, shopping for necessary additions, arranging repair of new appliances that aren't right, and even thinking about getting the old house cleaned up - well, I'm exhausted! To add to that, I broke a bone in my foot in my fall on the stairs (the one where I stood on my twisted foot to stop the fall from being catastrophic) so I've been thumping around in an air-cast which is awkward and fatiguing too. But I don't want to sound all gloomy! We're really happy about everything else I got my new Kallax unit set up, and hope to scrap a bit tonight.

(((((HUGS))))), kitbop . I hope life in your new home settles down soon, the cats come back, and you can actually enjoy your new digs. And OUCH! Hope that foot heals quickly. Hope you had a wonderful crop. Looking forward to spending a scrappy day with justjac here today. Have ideas for a couple of LO's I want to work on. Not sure what else I will accomplish, but it will be fun to have a play date.

Happy Mothers' Day to all the Pokey moms. Hope your families are spoiling you. I have heard from a couple of my "kids", a ddil, and a dgd, received a gift of chocolate from my dh. We plan to go for pizza for supper with dd and dgs. Yesterday was a fun crafty day. So wonderful to have justjac here to play, and to see you, joyfulnana , for a bit on-line. I still have not scrapped that motorbike photo I had justjac print for me. I hear some of you have ideas on how it should be showcased. All advice welcome. The only ideas I have so far is I want to use the hightop sneaker die, and the Jaded Blossom motorbike add ons. Will need to spend some time cutting and assembling before I actually take on the page.

Happy Mothers Day to those celebrating today. (((Hugs))) for those for whom today isn't a celebration. Sorry I missed the pop-up crop grammadee and justjac - sounds like it was fun. Thank you joyfulnana - I fussy-cut the trains from another paper in that paper pad. No plans for today - that's okay, I wasn't expecting any. 2/3 kids have wished me a Happy Mothers Day (the third is in the air - he's been travelling since 1am my time (Saturday afternoon where he caught the flight) and isn't expected home until midnight)

No signs of either cat Posters up and delivered to neighbourhood. Notices at SPCA and facebook groups. Happy Mother's Day to all! A dear coworker of mine wished me one, and I wished it back, to which she retorted, "I'm not a mom!". And I said, "I know that. But you had a Mom and you miss her!". She was surprised and thankful. When I left for work, DH asked what I wanted for supper and I'm just too brain-mushy to make decisions like that so I said "whatever". What I SHOULD have said was "anything but sushi" because we've had that a lot the past few weeks (costco) so of course, what did Katie decide on? We decided we'll do poke bowls instead - mildly different I guess. Glad you and justjac had a good day grammadee! I'm not jealous!

Good Monday morning, Pokeys! Had a quiet Mothers’ Day here. We went out for supper. I received some cards and calls. And THIS: Delivered to me by my dd from her hubby. She took this pic to send to him, but I am not sure when I could actually WEAR this shirt. I think he wants this pic on the May family calendar. Not gonna happen...

kitbop -still praying for kitties to come home safe and sound. I know you must be so worried about them. (((Hugs))) grammadee - I love the shirt! You definitely need to make a layout with that picture! DS is back home from his trip to Guam - he got back around midnight last night. His kitties were so happy to see him. I got a cute box card from him and DD24 for mother's day - it arrived today (mail between us and them has been terrible lately - DD24's birthday presents spent a week getting from our post office to the main hub and another week bouncing around the hub -they should finally be delivered today). Card is so cute with bees and flowers!

oooh Linda, that page is awesome! You managed to perfectly match the colors of the photos. Hahaha! grammadee! I love that shirt! I kind of get why it can't make the calendar, but you will scrap it, won't you? lol. Yesterday turned out to be a very good day with the kids. Lunch on the Plaza (it's not as fancy as it sounds, but it looks fancy and is another walking part of downtown, so we walked over the bookstore after lunch for coffee and browsing. DS2 picked up Cards Against Humanity so we came back here and played that. It was my first time playing and I'm still shaking my head at some of those cards lol. We laughed until we were exhausted from it lol. Did anyone see the Aurora Borealis? I totally forgot to go look Friday night, and Saturday couldn't convince myself to get out that late to find somewhere to see them from lol. But I saw some gorgeous pictures that were taken.

Thank you joyfulnanaSounds like a lovely day with your kids. CaH isn't for the faint of heart but so much laughter! I'm not sure if I saw the aurora or not...went out and looked three nights in a row - 2/3 the sky looked a little pinkish (more so on the phone photos) but nothing like the gorgeous photos I've been seeing from elsewhere. We're right on the edge of being able to see it or not so...

justjac - yay you did it! Looks great too. Was it really time consuming? It looks so cool, I can't even wrap my head around how it works. I love how you are using the 49&market in your DITL - tons of character. Linda - is it a relief every time DS gets home from deployment? You seem very calm about all his changes in station! grammadee - you can tell DSIL that it's spelt wrong so you cannot put that shirt in anything official Pretty funny tho!

Our stove died yesterday. In the most dramatic way, ever. I put supper into the oven about 3:30 pm. About 4:30, from my craft room, I heard beeping. I thought it might be the timer, but that does 5 beeps, then a pause, and then 5 more. This just kept beeping. Then I thought it might be a truck out on the road, or on our rented property, but again that would not just be constant. So I went to the front room to check the yard/road and realized the beeping was coming from the kitchen. The stove was valiantly beeping, with F10 displayed, and really hot. Checked the oven where the meat was burning and the rice corningware had exploded its lid b/c of the heat. I guess at some point it started the heating cycle and couldn't shut itself off when the temp was reached. I tried shutting down the oven but the control panel wouldn't work, so I shut off the breaker. Long story short, the stove is dead. My repair man says he thinks its the computer panel at the back and that this part is no longer available from his regular suppliers. Dh and I talked about purchasing new vs trying to repair this one, and decided to go with the purchase option b/c even if the guy CAN find the part, the cost of his coming out here (a 90 mile trip) plus the cost of the part and time for labour would add up to a good portion of the new appliance, and I don't think I could trust this stove again. So stove shopping today. Grrr... Adding it into my planned after school adventure. Dgs will come with me to the greenhouse for bedding plants, then on to the Brick to look at stoves, then supper at DQ, and finally his ball game. Not going to purchase anything at the Brick, but they have a model I want to look at. If I like it as much "in person", I will order it through our local hardware store who will deliver and set it up plus remove the old stove (included in the same price as the Brick for allowing me to purchase the stove and figure out how to get it home). It will just be a while before the stove gets here. Good thing the weather is better and I can cook on the deck now... grammadee - you can tell DSIL that it's spelt wrong so you cannot put that shirt in anything official Pretty funny tho! Of course it's spelled wrong: he picked it up either in Washcington DC where he is based, or Hawaii where he gave it to my dd to give it to me. But I like your reasoning for its not going onto the calendar.
Thanks for sharing your pages and your fun Mothers' Day card, justjac. Bet your mom loved it. And your pages are so well planned and pretty with that 49& Market pp. My fav pic is of the bare feet.

grammadee oh no, but I think you've had the same stove the entire time I've known you, haven't you? Still a pain. joyfulnana I never did get out to look at the northern lights. We were cozy in our bed by the time they were out. kellyr21 so far my only summer plan is a family reunion on my mom's side that's at a lake several hours away. kitbop I kept this project simple on purpose. I can't do it fancy the way Ali and her team do. I decided I would take an outfit picture and a weather screenshot everyday. Then whatever other pictures happened would be fine. I also didn't worry about matching my paper to my pictures or anything. I decided 7 days=ROYGBIV=49 and Market. Add in a couple stamp sets I decided on earlier. No decision fatigue. 6x8 papers are perfect for these projects.

justjac - LOVE the WITL pages - I really like how you used a cohesive collection but gave each day its own colour. And that card is amazing - wow! kitbop - it is a relief when he returns safely even though he's never been in an unsafe area - he does get to see some really interesting places though but SO much air travel sometimes. He'll be gone for about 6-8 weeks this summer to three different places on different continents so he's not home for long this time. grammadee - WOW - your stove sure went out with a bang! Glad you're all okay and I think a new stove is definitely the right choice. Good luck finding one you like. Once today's storms pass (tornado watch for another 30 minutes or so), I need to start on cleaning up the branches etc... the county will do a storm debris pickup if we have everything out on the right of way by Sunday. I'm a little surprised that they're doing that - usually it's just post-hurricane - but grateful
