The parents of this family sicken me.
Do I believe God forgives heinous crimes if the perpatrator accepts Jesus Christ as Savior and asks for forgiveness? And then turns their life around? Yes I do Do I believe victims of heinous crimes can forgive? Yes I do. Do I feel justice was served in this case? No I don't.
I feel so sad for the victims, the girls. Not Josh. I even feel sorry for Anna although she went into a marriage knowing all this. She is a victim as well because she was and is brainwashed probably by her own family, then the Duggars.

I just saw People magazine had the Duggers on the cover again this week. I will only be happy when this family disappears from the public psyche. They are completely unworthy of fame or fortune just for living and procreating. If they truly want to follow Jesus they can give away everything they have made from this debacle of a TV program and use the ill gotten gains to help the poor and marginalized in their community.
If they truly cherish children (which they don't) they could give it all to their states' foster care program or something like that to truly help abused children. But they won't even help their own.
They have got to go from the national scene.

What is their motive? "If you just hear what we have to say, you will see we did the right thing!" or is it the money from Fox News. "We deeply regret the choices we made during this time. We are ashamed and embarrassed of our unChristlike behavior. We don't practice what we preach. We didn't want our pay check to end. And knew if we prayed hard enough Josh would get over this sin, and our daughters are to busy cooking and cleaning and caring for their younger siblings to be effected by this. Please don't take are show and our sponsors away, Josh repented."

It will be all the mainstream media's fault. Plus add a healthy dose of outrage over the liberal war against Christians.

I'm surprised Megyn is doing the interview or that the Duggars are with her. She's Roman Catholic and the Duggars don't speak too highly of Catholics at all. They are quite offensive about them actually.

Some people will take a shovel and dig themselves out of a hole, others will take that shovel and dig a deeper hole. I think this is going to be a case of the latter.
I have to say my curiousity will get the best of me and I will likely watch. What I am most interested in to learn exactly what they did for their girls when they found out. We know what they did with Josh, swept it under the carpet. It is my hope that if they disclose they did nothing for their girls there will be a public outcry and someone will reach out to them. Only then will something good come out of this awful situation.

She's very good at stopping those who want to spew their talking points instead of answering her questions.

I do not watch Fox at all, but a couple of times I've seen her on other things I haven't totally rolled my eyes at her (like I would with O'Rielly and some of the others). Kind of disappointed in fact.

I hate the thought of ever seeing or hearing their disgusting voices again, but I'm going to watch (ugh! even though it is faux news) after hearing about Megyn Kelly. Hopefully she won't let them just spew their "Josh is forgiven" crap but will pin them down on what if anything they have done for their daughters. I'm almost positive they haven't done a damn thing. This is what the public needs to hear.

CNNThe Duggars aren't going away until people stop watching. I read an article on CNN that said TLC plans to wait for a time and then bring the show back based around the two married daughters. The reason is because the family franchise is profitable for the network. So because of the profitability of the Duggars TLC is willing to overlook the little indiscretion and hope people will forget. Which I'm sorry to say they will.

I will be very surprised if they admit that they didn't do anything - or did little - for the daughters. They have to know this is the crux of much of the criticism. Part of their campaign to resurrect their image will have to include assuaging people's concerns about their daughters' welfare.
Also, I would be very surprised if they're not getting professional PR advice.

UGH!!! why give them any airtime? I don't believe for one minute they are going to say anything that remotely resembles any wrong doing on their part or the part of their disgusting, child molesting son. i think Andy Cohen should do the interview and we take a shot everytime the words repent, forgiveness, church elders, and mistake are mentioned...we'll all be loaded in ten minutes! and a spin-off with the married daughters is a really bad idea...they will surely be their mother in 20 years, 18 kids each, walking around with bad hair, out-dated clothing, wondering where the hell their lives went!

War against family values my ass.
I said this on the other thread, forgiveness is an amazing grace that can be extended toward someone who has harmed you. But forgiveness does NOT mean that the person that did the wrong is given a free pass to not be held responsible (legally or morally) for that harm.
It frustrates me that people don't see the difference. This isn't an attack by the liberal left against the conservative right, it is an attack on hypocrisy-against those who publicly try to hold the rest of the world to a standard that they believe in all the while behaving differently in private. I don't care what side of the ideological fence you stand on, you can't speak out of both sides of your mouth without getting called on it.

Megyn Kelly is no pushover, like Diane Sawyer. If this interview is like others I've seen, the Duggars are not going to get a pass - they better be ready.
Please isn't the "Faux" News thing getting a bit old? They are no worse than MSNBC. Watch both and maybe something in the middle is closer to the truth.

I don't think the Duggars have actually said those things. I think it was a (very clever) projection by jumperhop.

This is what I tell my kids...I tell them to look at each news program as a circle on a Venn Diagram and the point at which they intersect is likely to be closer to the truth to anything else.

I really don't think I'd believe anything they had to say about how well-adjusted their daughters are or what kind of treatment they might have received. I think their true selves have been clearly revealed through their statements and actions in this matter, to date.

The thing is, God will forgive the perpetrator if the perpetrator truly repents but it doesn't mean forgiveness equals no consequences to said crime.

The Duggars: Where you go to hell for kissing before marriage or women wearing pants, but God will forgive you if you molest your sister. It does not help the discussion to throw out things that are not true. Maybe this is supposed to be a joke??? I read it as a "joke". A bit of poetic license to make a point.
