I have a 6pm weather notification that I’d just like to STOP, but I can’t seem to get there with her. lol I’ve done everything I can think of in the APP, but can’t stop it. She keeps instructing me to go to App then Settings but won’t do it herself. I can live with it but it’s just become annoying. Help! Open the Alexa app on your phone Tap on "More" on the bottom-right Select "Routines" Select Your Routines (at the top) Select the weather routine that is set for 6pm Select disable

She's the most extra female in our house. In my experience, when she start with a just so you know, she's usually telling me that I can set up a light schedule in the app. So maybe this is her sly way of getting you to get the app. Not gonna work! No way do I want a thing on my phone that listens to me and pipes up random rubbish whenever I say "extra" or "etc". I was watching Ghostbusters the other day with DH, and when they got slimed, I laughed and said "ooh green ectoplasm!" and she started talking. My Alexa app doesn’t pipe out random sayings as the Amazon Echo can do sometimes. The app is quite but is very helpful to me when I am not home or when I need to view my shopping list. It’s a great app, IMO. When I want Alexa to repeat something, I just say “Alexa, repeat” - as mentioned, it doesn’t always work when she’s giving you a suggestion though.

We don't have Buc-ees up here--is 100 gas pumps hyperbole or real? I can't even imagine. We currently have 2 in Georgia, one about 2 hours south of me and another about 90 minutes north. The one in northern GA is near the Tennessee border on a very busy major interstate. It has 120 gas pumps. I was up that way about a week ago & stopped to get gas & use the bathroom (they also have 80 bathroom stalls & they are always clean & quick to get in/out). While there, I noticed they are adding even more pumps! Not sure how many but more are on the way. My sister says Buc-ees is like if Walmart & Cracker Barrell had a baby. As far as leaving your car at the pump, I don’t see people doing that at Buc-ee’s (although some might), because most people go inside for more than a few minutes & there are plenty of parking spaces. I have done that at a local gas station because it only has 2 parking spots, but then again, there isn’t anyone waiting to use the pump behind me at this local gas station. It is super rude to leave your car at the pump when not using it when there are others that need it.

Didn't we have an ongoing chair disagreement story reported here a few years ago? I don't recall that. FWIW - I agree with Dear Abby's advice on this one. She's had the chair 4 years, it wasn't a loan, it was given to her. The "friend" only wants it back because she's ticked with her.

I notice with the Danny & Angie (mom/son) team and the Vinny & Amber (dating team) that neither of the women are carrying backpacks. I don't recall them mentioning it, but did they combine their stuff into one backpack so the son & boyfriend could carry everything? It sure would be easier to run around without those heavy backpacks. Danny & Angie have gotten further than I expected, she's pretty tough. I really liked the team that went home this week, kind of sad to see them go.
The guy afraid of heights last week was really funny to me... he was just like nope... not going down there... his wife was great about getting him moving... and then he did the gliding at the beginning of this week.... they didn't show how much nope nope nope he said... but i dont imagine it was easy to get him to agree.
I was surprised he actually completed the paragliding...he did so well considering his fear of heights. But, he seemed to really enjoy it and for some reason didn't seem all that afraid while he was up in the air (unlike Leticia, who kept her eyes closed most the time )

Am I being too sensitive. Maybe When you haven't seen someone in person in over 10 years, it can be kind of easy to "forget" how they look. If you look basically the same as you did 10 years ago (hair/weight/etc), that is probably all it is. I don't think I have said that to anyone before, even if they had changed their looks dramatically. I can understand why it would bother you though.

How would this be feasible for a woman? She’d have to have this thing inside her 24 / 7. What about when she chose to have sex? She’d have to remove it, reinsert it, etc.
I don’t think something like this would be realistic

Timing question? POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW THIS LINE if you have NOT watched Season 2 Episode 9 >>>>>>>>> So, the story says that it was 20 years after Kat left home that she last saw her mother ...
When Kat is in the hospital and finds out she is pregnant it can't be Alice, right? Because Alice is only 16 ...
I may have heard the 20 year thing wrong ...
Thoughts? Actually, Kat mentioned in an episode that it had been 17 years since she had been home to the farm. In an argument with Del, she said something like “That’s why I stayed away for 17 years”

So far this season, it seems to have started off with very difficult physical challenges. Climbing all those stairs at that big rock mountain had to be so hard, and that was just to get the clue, then they had to go back down and actually do the roadblocks & detours! Whew ! I was worn out just watching them. I feel for the guy terrified of heights, I can relate, but of course that is one reason that I would never be on Amazing Race.

They both grew up in a small country town. My mom and my dad’s brother were in school together. One day my dad was sitting in the front porch when the school bus dropped off his brother. He saw my mom in the front seat & asked who she was.
His brother said “That’s xxx” & my dad said, I am going to marry her. His brother said, no way, her parents only let her go to church & school.
Sunday, my dad was in church (first time ever for him)and sat next to her, after a couple of Sundays, he asked her on a date, 3 months later, they were married.

I started working at Hardee's when I was 14 or 15 and worked there until I went to college. About the same here. I started there when I was 16 (they wouldn't hire anyone younger than that) and I stayed there until I was 20. I became a supervisor when I was 17. I enjoyed it, because I met so many great people and made new friends. The only thing I didn't like about working in fast food was the unreliability of many employees (calling in or just not showing up). It was a good time in my life.

I also think Ruby and Jodi were in a relationship and that's what lead him to be pushed out of the home. I admit that I thought this too.

On the news at noon, they said the bridgetender heard the Mayday message from the ship and stopped all traffic. I’m sure if he hadn’t done that there would be many more casualties. When I saw the video, I noticed that cars seemed to be passing on the bridge fairly frequent but just before the collision, I only saw one car, which appeared to make it across. I thought, wow, what luck that they stopped crossing but hearing this makes so much sense! I really hope that no cars were on the bridge because of the Mayday message and bridgetender.

Well thank goodness that Nick finally knows the truth about Alice.
I had a feeling that Jacob wouldn't want to come home with Kat, I mean, he's been in the 1800's most of his life and built his life there, it makes sense he'd want to stay, but it does seem he'd like to see his mother.
I wonder why Elliot kind of made that face when he heard Kat tried to bring Susanna back, but couldn't. It was like he knew something that Kat didn't.
I had a friend visiting last week, who doesn't have the Hallmark channel. I told her about this show and she wanted to watch it, so I re-watched all episodes with her during visit. She was hooked and totally loves it now. Luckily she's all caught up and ready for the season finale next week.

It was the first thing I saw on the news this morning, it was like watching a disaster movie, how awful.
I'm glad it was in the early morning hours or it could have been so much worse.

I had a feeling he would be found in the river when they found his credit card on the banks of the river. I am glad his parents know where he is. I do not understand why he was the only one kicked out - was he misbehaving? I can't imagine he was the only one drunk... And I hope his frat bros learned a lesson in always having someone with you I also had a feeling when they found his card there, that he would be found in the river. At least his parents know now, how tragic. Yes, I read that he was kicked out because he was misbehaving & not conducting himself properly. i wondered why one of his friends didn’t stay with him, but they were probably drunk and didn’t want to leave the bat Such an avoidable tragedy

They are asked the question after they place their wager. They only know the topic before placing their wager.
For example, the topic might be 19th Century Poets. If they know a lot about that, they most likely will wager more than if they are weak in that topic.
After they place the wager, they will then see/hear something like “ In 1817 he published anonymously, 'Poems, founded upon the Poems of Meleager,' which were re-edited in 1818 under the title of 'Trifles, imitative of the Chaster Style of Meleager.'
Then they will guess “Who is Edward William Barnard?”. If they get it right, their total increases by the amount waged and if they are wrong, they lose the amount waged.

I would do the graduation party so you can see your family that you don’t get to see often, skip the concert but go to dinner on Friday or Sunday to celebrate your anniversary.
You might even get a hotel room for the night in a nearby town, you could use the concert money for the room.

That is crazy. I can see talking to the child and making sure he is aware that isn’t acceptable and is illegal, even, but then let it go, he was 10 for crying out loud.

It is tricky, I mean the cancellation policy says “no exceptions”. So I understand the owners POV, however, the way she handled the situation was way out of line and it’s her own fault that she’s now getting a lot of negative backlash (although death threats are crazy)

I don’t want them to have George die on Young Sheldon. I know they mentioned he did many times on TBBT, but they also said he was an abusive alcoholic, which he isn’t on Young Sheldon. This is one of my favorite shows. I am so impressed with how Ian Armitage learned all his lines in German & it seemed so fluent, he is such a talented actor!
I am really going to miss this show.
