I leave reviews and read them as well...it can help when making decisions about a product or a rental unit.
Considering that the VRBO you read was the only bad one, yes, it sounds made up. It would be hard to believe one family had such a horrible experience when everyone else had a good one. They obviously were not happy about something and decided to get even by leaving a bad review.

I think a President should be required to have served in the military. I think if you are commander in chief, it helps having that experience (just my personal opinion)
A president needs to be healthy, mentally & physically, be honest & moral. S/he needs to be somewhat charismatic, be a good speaker and someone who can take charge and shows authority

Boy, Vinny is condescending to Amber and I think she’s starting to realize this may not be the right guy for her. He really showed himself this week and was downright awful to her. I felt bad for her. I was hoping they’d be eliminated so she could go home and think about her future instead of continuing with his verbal abuse.
I LOVED when Cesar & Ricky were doing the song & dance on stage. They were getting into it & looked like they were having fun. I hope they win! I just love their attitude and enthusiasm.

I am sorry - I can’t imagine what it’s like to know your husband, who you loved with all your heart, is someone you truly didn’t know.

I would not expect help from the US government unless someone were trapped in an unfriendly country. Same here. I'm not sure why people commenting on the Go Fund Me page think the US Gov't should help. He broke his leg and had medical complications while on vacation. He isn't in a political situation or anything. We once had a girl from our church go on a mission trip to Honduras. The first day after arriving, she became very ill and because of her location, there were no hospitals nearby to help. (Turns out she was having some kind of late reaction to the vaccines she received). She literally almost died, but it was up to those that could help (mostly her family) to get her back to the US for treatment (where after weeks in the hospital, she eventually recovered). No one expected the US Government to help.

It is actually very sweet but I can see when you are trying to sleep how it could be a bit annoying. Basically, it is a way of soothing himself, just let making biscuits is a way of soothing himself. It's also generally a sign that your cat is happy, feels safe but may want attention. Even though it seems he gets plenty of attention, at night when you are trying to sleep, he isn't getting the attention he wants.
Unfortunately, I don't really have any advice on what to do to make him stop. He is still a bit young, so perhaps he will grow out of it.

If I was concerned the item I wanted was going to sell out, I would have ordered it again. Then return the wrong items & if I got the item I wanted twice, I’d return one of them.,

I feel you. It seems like our entire married life that as soon as we get a few hundred dollars ahead, the universe decides to screw with us. Dear CraftedbyS and family, I hear that you have an extra $200 by scrimping and saving and doing without. Well, we can't have that, now can we. Here's a vet bill/car repair/doctor's copay/broken appliance bill for $400. FU and see you next month, The Universe. It sure feels like that doesn't it. Seems like every time I get a little saved up, I get hit with something, like an unexpected vet bill or a nail in my tire or something...It's so hard to get a little ahead.

Totally agree, I haven't bought Ritz in ages for that reason - so many broken crackers, they just aren't as stable as they use to be. I don't buy crackers that often but when I do, I prefer Captian's Wafers (which are like Club crackers)

Maybe she should tithe 20% to God from now on. (Really the church, not God.) And she is cheap. Bet wait staff dread seeing her sit in their section. I thought the same...if she feels she shouldn't tip people more than she gives to God,then perhaps she needs to give more money to God...Tithing does say 1/10th of your income but it isn't limited to that, you can give more.
As a Christian, I have never heard anyone say something like that in my life. It does sound a bit like an excuse to be a cheap tipper. I have never worked a job that involved tipping, but have friends that have and after hearing their perspective on it, I consider myself a generous tipper.

The dating nurses Vinny and Amber. He is so patient with her! I don't get that feeling at all! He is quite impatient and snippy. There are times that he comes across as downright condescending - especially after they appear to have talked out things from a prior leg. I've told DH that I'm dying to know if those two are still a couple because what I'm seeing so far doesn't look like they would be. I thought the same. When watching, I was thinking that these 2 are probably not going to make it. He’s running the race at a fast pace, as he should but she just struggles to keep up, even when he’s driving, he’s going so fast that she can’t even see what streets they are approaching and then he blames her for not being able to read a map properly

I feel for his children & grandchildren. Of course I don't know if he killed his ex-wife and her friend (personally, the evidence to me seems he did, but of course none of us know for sure). The only human left alive that truly knew was O.J. and he was found not-guilty and maintained his innocence and now he has taken that to grave with him.
Up until their murders, I always admired O.J. He was a great football player and seemed like a good person. However, after their murders, and the spousal abuse info came out and my belief that he did actually get away with murder, well...my opinion of him, of course, totally was the opposite of what I thought when I was growing up.

I think so. 5 minutes or maybe even 10 minutes early is okay. But anything beyond 15 minutes early is just as bad as being late. I have a friend that we go to events together sometimes. When she drives, she habitually arrives to pick me up about 15-20 minutes early. I'm still getting ready. When it's my turn to drive, I go to her house a few minutes before we've decided to leave, and I always end up waiting for her. It's maddening! I agree with this. 5-10 minutes early is fine but I also have a friend that sometimes arrives 30-40 minutes early and often I am not ready and I feel rude making her sit in the living room while I’m blow drying my hair and such. If I am too early to someone’s house, I just drive around a bit until closer to our meeting time.

I have a 6pm weather notification that I’d just like to STOP, but I can’t seem to get there with her. lol I’ve done everything I can think of in the APP, but can’t stop it. She keeps instructing me to go to App then Settings but won’t do it herself. I can live with it but it’s just become annoying. Help! Open the Alexa app on your phone Tap on "More" on the bottom-right Select "Routines" Select Your Routines (at the top) Select the weather routine that is set for 6pm Select disable

She's the most extra female in our house. In my experience, when she start with a just so you know, she's usually telling me that I can set up a light schedule in the app. So maybe this is her sly way of getting you to get the app. Not gonna work! No way do I want a thing on my phone that listens to me and pipes up random rubbish whenever I say "extra" or "etc". I was watching Ghostbusters the other day with DH, and when they got slimed, I laughed and said "ooh green ectoplasm!" and she started talking. My Alexa app doesn’t pipe out random sayings as the Amazon Echo can do sometimes. The app is quite but is very helpful to me when I am not home or when I need to view my shopping list. It’s a great app, IMO. When I want Alexa to repeat something, I just say “Alexa, repeat” - as mentioned, it doesn’t always work when she’s giving you a suggestion though.

We don't have Buc-ees up here--is 100 gas pumps hyperbole or real? I can't even imagine. We currently have 2 in Georgia, one about 2 hours south of me and another about 90 minutes north. The one in northern GA is near the Tennessee border on a very busy major interstate. It has 120 gas pumps. I was up that way about a week ago & stopped to get gas & use the bathroom (they also have 80 bathroom stalls & they are always clean & quick to get in/out). While there, I noticed they are adding even more pumps! Not sure how many but more are on the way. My sister says Buc-ees is like if Walmart & Cracker Barrell had a baby. As far as leaving your car at the pump, I don’t see people doing that at Buc-ee’s (although some might), because most people go inside for more than a few minutes & there are plenty of parking spaces. I have done that at a local gas station because it only has 2 parking spots, but then again, there isn’t anyone waiting to use the pump behind me at this local gas station. It is super rude to leave your car at the pump when not using it when there are others that need it.

Didn't we have an ongoing chair disagreement story reported here a few years ago? I don't recall that. FWIW - I agree with Dear Abby's advice on this one. She's had the chair 4 years, it wasn't a loan, it was given to her. The "friend" only wants it back because she's ticked with her.

I notice with the Danny & Angie (mom/son) team and the Vinny & Amber (dating team) that neither of the women are carrying backpacks. I don't recall them mentioning it, but did they combine their stuff into one backpack so the son & boyfriend could carry everything? It sure would be easier to run around without those heavy backpacks. Danny & Angie have gotten further than I expected, she's pretty tough. I really liked the team that went home this week, kind of sad to see them go.
The guy afraid of heights last week was really funny to me... he was just like nope... not going down there... his wife was great about getting him moving... and then he did the gliding at the beginning of this week.... they didn't show how much nope nope nope he said... but i dont imagine it was easy to get him to agree.
I was surprised he actually completed the paragliding...he did so well considering his fear of heights. But, he seemed to really enjoy it and for some reason didn't seem all that afraid while he was up in the air (unlike Leticia, who kept her eyes closed most the time )

Am I being too sensitive. Maybe When you haven't seen someone in person in over 10 years, it can be kind of easy to "forget" how they look. If you look basically the same as you did 10 years ago (hair/weight/etc), that is probably all it is. I don't think I have said that to anyone before, even if they had changed their looks dramatically. I can understand why it would bother you though.

How would this be feasible for a woman? She’d have to have this thing inside her 24 / 7. What about when she chose to have sex? She’d have to remove it, reinsert it, etc.
I don’t think something like this would be realistic
