Just want to say that my cat has a prescription food, that I order from Chewy, they don’t use Door Dash and it is delivered within 24-48 hours (usually 24) You may want to see if they carry it and order from there. I have a prescription with Chewy for other ped needs. The reason I went thru petco this time is that Chewy wont allow me to upload the damn rx myself, I have to mail it to them and then they reimburse me for the certified mail. My vet no longer responds to chewy requests/rx validations. It's annoying. Believe me, if I don't have this food before 2 days, I am going to cancel and see what I can do thru Chewy. That’s odd, I uploaded the prescription to Chewy without issues, I wonder why they are making you mail it, sorry you have issues with getting it.

Is she going to be in a private room? If not, she may want to bring ear buds so as not to disturb her roomie

I have never had that happen. I can’t imagine walking up to a stranger or knocking on their door and asking if they were interested in selling some random item that isn’t even listed as for sale, how unusual.

I have watched since it first premiered, I was so glad when Season 2 started.
I love the entire cast & the premise of the show is interesting. I always feel bad for Elliott - he’s such a good guy. ,

I have cooked several new dishes already this year. I like to try to do one per week. My son saw this recipe on Tik Tok, and we all loved it, so I have made it twice already this month: Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese. That looks so good. I am going to try it.

No, my mom was a SAHM until we were teenagers.
She then got a PT job (10-2) at Richway, which eventually became Target. She just wanted something more to do and wanted to make some new friends.
I feel fortunate that she was able to be a SAHM

With baseball approaching, how about “Grand Slam” ice cream with a chocolate swirl, some Baby Ruth pieces and roasted peanuts

jeremysgirl - your granny blanket is coming out beautifully and I love the photo of you working on it. A couple of weeks ago Becky Higgins made a suggestion to capture yourself working on something that you often do. I never thought of that before, but I ended up taking a photo of myself crocheting too. I'm glad I did and glad you did too and encourage everyone else here to get a photo of you working on one of your projects. It's a big part of who we are, so we should capture the moment.
scraphappy0501 - I really want to do watercolors - I've painted about 3 (using YouTube tutorials), but I have so much to learn. I even took a beginning water color class. It was only for one day, but introduced you to the basics. I have to keep reminding myself...it's just paper...if you mess up, what's the big deal? I have to give up that perfectionist thinking. I can't wait to see what you do and you've inspired me to paint something this month, so that will be one of my goals.
My other goal this month is to finish up an afghan I started a while back. I enjoy the pattern, but my cats also enjoy coming to sit with me while I try to crochet so its been on hiatus for a bit. I've ordered more yarn to make another prayer shawl (same yarn and pattern as last month's shawl, just a different color), but not sure I will get started on that this month or not. Will just have to see. I'm trying to make 6 prayer shawls this year (one ever 2 months), but in reality, I'd loved to make 12 - one a month.
Our local library is having a "Cocoa & Crochet" day on Valentine's Day. Its for all skill levels and they will even teach beginners if they want to learn and they serve hot chocolate. I'm planning on going. It should be fun.

I finished my prayer shawl. I mentioned earlier that I got this yarn (Lion Brand Scarfie) on clearance & used Michael’s rewards points so I got it for free. This worked up super fast and the yarn is so soft.

I once taught my dog to sit up in a manner of hours. I was surprised how quickly he learned.
I read this somewhere, so used this technique and it worked like a charm.
I had some small treats to give him. I sat him on the couch in the corner of it and I would say "SIT UP" and then sit him up on his hind legs and let him lean into the corner of the couch. I would say "Good boy!!" several times while petting and praising him and then give him a treat. I did this over and over and after about an hour, he started sitting up by himself, using the couch corner as support. I was amazed.
Then after he would do that by himself for a few times, I sat him on the floor and said "SIT UP " and he would sit up by himself and again, he'd get praise and a treat.
It takes some patience, but starting them out in the couch corner so they have something to lean against for support when first learning, I think is a big key.
I know this isn't the same as 'SIT' but a similar training method may work.

My mom said we had a party line when I was young, but I never used the phone until I was a teen, so I guess I didn’t know
I do recall visiting my aunt and she would get so annoyed because she would pick up the phone and someone else would be on the party line and she said they tied it up all the time, she let me listen in and I thought it was so weird to be able to hear two strangers conversation on the phone as if they were actually on extension lines

We do have Amazon lockers in the US, but seems like they stay full so I can rarely use them.
I suspect your package has been sitting there for 6 months and they sent you an incorrect code. How weird….but now, as you said, where is Victor’s package?

Great thread!
I follow someone on Instagram, I believe she’s on TikTok too, who does 5 ingredients (or less), for $10 (or less) in 30 minutes (or less) and made a good Chili Mac
Easy Chili Mac
1 lb ground beef (I used ground turkey) 1 can Bush’s Chili Magic 1 can Rotel Tomatoes 1 can water (use Chili Magic can) 1 can macaroni (use Chili Magic can) 6-8 oz shredded cheese
Brown & drain ground beef in large soup pot, add remaining ingredients (except cheese) and cook in medium/high until pasta is done. Stir in cheese.
It was good & quick.

It is annoying. Sometimes, for example, a pea might post a link to Amazon saying something like “What do you think of these curtains?”
I click the link, take a look, give an opinion back to the pea, and then a few hours later, I get an email from Amazon saying “Here’s some curtains you may be interested in”
It’s annoying and happens too often from so many websites

I don't want this guy to work on Sunday. Period. I don't blame you for that and I would not allow a stranger into my home when I am not there. I say let him work on Sunday, if he wishes, but he will need to leave to go to the gas station or a fast food place to use the restroom if needed. There is nothing that requires you to let a contractor into your home when you are not there. The only other alternative, is if you have a friend that can house sit for you Sunday while the contractor is there.

I just feel like a crazy lady for ordering something for a non existent baby. Haha.... I totally get it - you want to get it while it is available, because if the grandbaby arrives, the Winnie the Pooh line won't be available.

I am always just so in awe of everyone's projects here...we have such a talented group of people!! I had a good yarn score today. I had a $10 rewards coupon from Michael's and I found some Scarfie Yarn on clearance for $5 (usually $12). I got 2 skeins to make a prayer shawl and used my rewards coupon, so I basically got $24 worth of yarn for free...I love when stuff like that happens.

I don’t get the mentality of people who think life was rosy back in those days. I absolutely agree. My parents grew up dirt poor, I mean my dad had to drive a log truck when he was 12 years old so he could earn enough money to buy himself a pair of shoes. Times were HARD, they worked HARD. I don't think I could have lived the way they did and I am so grateful I didn't have to.
